Chapter 73
Ari P.O.V
The drive to my apartment was mostly quiet, with a few words exchanged here and there. I was curled up in the passenger seat, my head on the window. Victor had been right. The moment that I had been back with him, in his arms, the ache had gone, but now there was another. It had been a day since I had left, and I was already missing my friends and family. It was going to be hard, but even before I met Victor, I knew we would be seeing less of each other. We'd all be heading for different universities, and different courses after all. But that didn't change the fact that we'd still be the closest group of friends you could find, so the separation still hurt.
"You alright, Kitten?" Victor asked.
"I miss them already." I said.
Victor took his hand from the gear stick, and grabbed hold of mine. He rubbed his thumb in circles over the skin of my palm. "You can see them whenever you want, Kitten. You know that. And you can call them. You just have to put up with university in between." Victor said, before he wrapped his arm round me and pulled me into his side.
I wrapped my arms round his waist and took in his scent. Victor's scent always worked to calm me down. His scent was wild and completely unique, but it meant safety to me, whereas to others, it meant danger. I was safer with Victor than I had ever been in my entire life, where as most others could very easily end up badly harmed. Except maybe my closest friends and family, because if he hurt them, that would hurt me. So by default, they wouldn't come to harm around him either. Victor kissed me on my forehead quickly before turning his attention back to the road.
When we finally reached the apartment building, I was starting to get a bit restless. I wanted to get out and walk round. So, immediately after Victor had killed the engine, I was out of the car, and on the side walk. I heard Victor laugh. I looked round to see him smirking.
"That eager to get away from me, Kitten?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.
I snorted. "Not bloody likely." I laughed. "The closer the better, I say."
He walked round the front of the car, and wrapped his arm round my waist, pulling me into his side. "Like this, you mean, Kitten?"
"I'm sure you can do a bit better than that, Vic." I said.
He grinned, baring his sharp canines. "Oh I'm sure I could too. But first…" Victor pulled two keys from his pocket. "This is for you. The apartment's at the top floor. Should we go up?"
"Let's get the bags then." I said, and I went to move away, but Victor's arm just tightened round my waist.
"They can be brought up later. Your other things should be there by now, so your cases can stay in the car for a little while. I want to show you where you're gonna be living."
I took the keys from him, and smiled. "Then lets head on up." I said. He led me into the building, and to the elevator. Once inside, Victor pushed the button for the tenth floor, which happened to be the top floor. There weren't many doors on the floor. Four to be exact, which meant that my apartment would…"
"You got me an apartment that takes up a quarter of the whole floor?" I asked, incredulously. I didn't expect it to be so big.
"Of course I did. Come on. Open the door." He motioned with his head to the door. I put a key in the lock, having luck first time, and unlocked the door.
There were boxes stacked in the room, but I could see the entire room easily. It was mostly open plan, with only three other doors. The kitchen had two units, acting as a barrier to the rest of the room. The units were dark brown wood with white surfaces, and there was an island in the middle, with metal stools around it. To the side of the kitchen, there was a dark wood table with six black leather chairs. The rest of the room was used for living space, with a black leather corner sofa, a couple of black leather arm chairs, and recliners, dark wood coffee tables, and a fifty inch plasma screen T.V and sound system.
I walked into the apartment, my eyes wide. "How much did you spend?" I asked.
Victor wrapped both arms round me. "That doesn't matter. I just wanted to make sure you were comfortable."
"Oh I'm going to be comfortable alright." I said, in a tone that indicated my mind had gone elsewhere.
"The main bedroom is through there," Victor pointed at the door on the right. "The bathroom is the middle door, and the second bedroom is on the left. "The main room has an en-suite."
"You spoil me." I said.
"Go have a look, and then I'll show you the roof."
"Kay." I said. I turned in his arms, leant up, and kissed him on the lips, before unwinding myself from his arms. I walked to the main bedroom. The bed frame was black leather, and the covers were dark red silk. I ran my hand over it, and then threw myself on the bed. I could definitely sleep on this. I looked round the rest of the room, and noticed the dark wood wardrobe, and the other door. I walked over to it to find the bathroom. It was mostly white, with the sink on a wooden shelf with draws built into it, a wooden cabinet, and the shower, bath and toilet were on wooden platforms. I walked back out, and into the other bath room. It was much the same as my own, except this was a bit smaller. The second bedroom had a lighter wood wardrobe and the bed frame was of the same light wood. The bed had plain blue cotton bed covers, but was still very comfy.
I left the room, to see Victor leaning against the kitchen counter.
"I take it by the big smile on your face that you like it then?" He asked.
"Definitely." I said.
"Come on then, I'll show you the roof." He said.
I followed Victor from the apartment, and up a set of stairs to a door. I pulled out the other key, and unlocked the door. I stepped out onto the roof, and saw that there were already flower boxes filled with flowers, and a couple of vegetables too. I looked at Victor.
"I employed a gardener, so you could have a garden before next year."
"Thank you Victor. It means a lot to me." I said, smiling up at him. I wandered further onto the roof, and looked at all the different greenery that was growing. At the centre there was a large round wooden platform, that was covered in a round mattress. There was a wooden back rest, and I would be able to use it as a bed, or a seat for me, and others if I asked them up here. I turned to Victor, and grinned. "This is wonderful, Vic. I love it."
"I'm glad." He said, and he came over, and wrapped his arms round my waist. I wrapped my arms round his neck, and I jumped up, wrapping my legs round his waist. Victor kissed me deeply. I melted into him, and allowed him to take over the kiss. His tongue explored my mouth, before he guided mine into his mouth. I felt his stiffened cock rubbing against me, causing a burn to start between my legs. I grinded my hips, trying to get some friction.
When Victor broke the kiss off, something caught my eye. I looked round, to see a window of the next building. It was a story taller than this one. I looked into the window, and saw a guy with a pair of binoculars, looking at us, and a hand down his pants.
"That little perv!" I said.
Victor's head span round quickly, to see what I meant. I felt the growl start to build in his chest, before it ripped out of his throat. He held me closer, as he glared at the man. I saw his eyes flick across the building, and I knew what he was doing. I didn't need my telepathy to know. He was counting.
"Just scare him a bit. Teach him a lesson. A non fatal one." I said.
Victor looked at me, and nodded. "Fine. I'll just rough him up a bit. Seeing as he didn't try anything." Victor put me down. "I'll go down get the bags. I may take a while." His eyes flicked to the side. I nodded in understanding. At least the guy wouldn't get killed. Just maimed, or seriously injured.
We walked back downstairs, and I went into the apartment, and Victor walked back to the elevator. I went looking for one of the boxes I had packed myself, and opened it. I riffled through it, and when I found what I was looking for, I pulled it out, and went into my bedroom to change, and wait for Victor.
