Pearlshipping, I choose you! How's it going everyone, hope your weekend's going well. As for me, I do believe its time I brought some Pearlshipping into my collection of stories.

Before we get into this, a few things need to be said.

I do not own pokemon in any way shape or form. All characters belong to their respective owners.

This is from my old account Draven Stoker in case it seems familiar. This sort of thing has been coming up for a while now and I just want to set the record straight; we're the same person.

Enjoy!

In Pallet Town, the shining sun mixed with the encroaching clouds, creating swirling white blotches that decorated the sky. Stray light beams shone through creating an Edenic scene.

In Professor Samuel Oak's ranch, over 100 chairs has been set up in a water droplet formation, at the head, an arch had been erected. Its purpose? To make the wedding of Kanto's resident water gym-leader Misty Brookes and pokemon researcher Gary Oak the best day of their lives. Despite having been quite infatuated with Ash for a good few years, Misty had soon caught the attention of the brunette researcher when she tagged along with him on a research trip to Porta Vista to study the breeding grounds of tentacool and tentracruel. This trip soon turned into a date, which soon turned into love which 3 years later turned into their wedding day.

Right now the pair looked at each other as Professor Oak droned on in the background. Misty, true to her fashion style had chosen a mermaid-style dress with a faded silver sash around her waist. Her hair had been sweep back over her shoulders.

Gary, had chosen to go simple in his chosen wedding attire. He had chosen just a simple black suit, white dress shirt and purple tie. However, his fiancée did make him gel his hair back causing the man to pout like a child.

'' Do you Misty Brookes, take Gary Oak to be your lawfully wedded husband, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health? Do you vow to respect him as an equal and a partner, 'til death do you part?''

'' I do'' Misty teared up.

'' And do you, Gary Oak, take Misty Brookes to be your lawfully wedded wife, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health? DO you vow to respect her as an equal and partner 'til death do you part?

'' Absolutely'' Gary smiled.

'' Then by the power vested in me by the municipality of Pallet Town, the great region of Kanto and the good people of , I now pronounce you husband and wife.''

The audience burst into a cacophony of applause and the pair shared their first kiss as man and wife.

However next to Gary was a handsome, raven-haired man who smiled sadly as he looked across from him at a gorgeous bluenette.

'' Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome for the first time, Misty and Gary Oak!'' Tracy Sketchit; the host announced.

The part had moved from the field that was serving as the site for the actual ceremony. A more secluded part of Professor Oak's ranch, which was surrounded by high trees creating a heavy sense of seclusion by all, the chances of being spotted by reporters severely decreased

That same raven-haired man, now found himself at the table he was seated at, texting on his phone as he gulped down an imported Snow-point City beer.

'' And they say I'm the one who should be miserable'' came a snicker from behind him.

'' Gary? What're you doing here. Shouldn't you be with Misty right now?''

'' She's with her sisters and I need a break. So, why're you as happy as a granbull?''

'' I'm fine, really.''

'' Ash Michael Ketchum, I know you, you're my best friend. Now what's up?'' Gary asked, sitting down next to him.

'' I'm miserable'' Ash slammed his drink down.

'' Why? You're inter-regionally famous, you were just on The Marion Show, what do you possibly have to be miserable about?''

'' I'm single. We're the same age and here you are, big shot pokemon researcher married to my other best friend, set for life. Meanwhile, here I am, in my 20s and the closest I have to a girlfriend is Pikachu'' Ash pointed to his partner sitting next to him, sucking on a ketchup packet.

'' First of all, let's not compare the electric rat to a human woman. Secondly, you're 24, you've got plenty of time to find the one you're after. Now, let's hit the dancefloor.''

Ash rolled his eyes as he trudged onto the dancefloor. Watching all the couples dance the night away made him want to get body slammed by Torterra.

'' Nice tux'' came a familiar voice.

Ash looked next to him. The voice belonging to the same bluenette as before. She wore a faded pink dress with a black sash, her hair in a high ponytail.

'' Thanks Dawn. You look…pink.''

'' Thank you?''

Realizing his mistake, the man changed the subject quickly. '' So, should we dance?''

'' Try again Ketchum'' Dawn smirked.

'' Fine. May we dance?''

'' Sure'' Dawn trilled, practically dragging Ash onto the dancefloor. Right now the sounds of We found love could be heard throughout the small and sleepy town of Pallet.

'' So, I haven't seen you in a while, what's new?'' Dawn asked.

'' Pretty well actually. I'm a frontier brain if you can believe it.''

'' Oh I know. I saw you on the Marion Show. What do they call you again, the King of Kanto?''

'' Yep. I honestly was fine without having a nickname but Goodshow told me if I didn't then he'd fire me and replace me with an android.''

'' That sounds harsh. Wait, is this Charles Goodshow?''

'' Oh yeah. The guy's 3000 years old and loves his scotch. Half of the Indigo League's budget goes to the stuff he has imported across all regions. Hell, last month he bought a bottle that was sent in from Nimbasa City.''

'' Unova? That's excessive.''

'' I know.''

'' Alright, as much as we all love a good fast ballad, its time to slow things down with a slower paced love song'' Tracey added, interrupting, soon his words were accompanied by the sounds of I just can't stop loving you.

'' So, slow dance?'' Dawn asked.

'' Uhh, sure'' Ash rubbed the back of his head.

'' So, how's the coordinating going. We've been talking about me all night long so far'' Ash commented as he put his hands on Dawn's waist.

'' Well, so far its going great, I'm actually doing a contest in Sunnyshore City in a few weeks. But I'm also getting a little bored of contests as well.''

'' So, do you think you'll quit coordinating? Its been your dream ever since I met you.''

'' No, I'm loving coordinating but I'm also in the mood for something different as well. Call it the diversification of my interests.''

'' Huh?'' even at 24 years old Ash was still occasionally confused by large vocabulary.

'' It means that I'm splitting contests with a new interest of mine.''

'' And that would be?''

'' Photography.''

'' Oh yeah? What've you taken pics of so far?''

'' Oh lots of stuff, baby tyrogues, wailords and most recently I got to take pics the latest Sinnoh League winner.''

'' Awesome, you've got to show me sometime.''

'' Sure, but I want you to show me something first.''

'' And that would be?''

'' The Battle Fortress.''

'' Oh that. Sure, but wont we be needed soon? I mean aren't the toasts about to happen?''

'' You live 20 minutes away at most, besides I know a quick way to get back. Meet me at the parking lot in 10 minutes.''

Exactly 10 minutes later Ash found himself charging down the non-paved roads of Pallet Town on the back of Mammoswine. For a pokemon that was 8 feet tall and was so…rotund, he moved pretty fast. Ash wasn't exactly sure how fast he was going, but he estimated it was at least 50 miles per hour.

'' Where should I tell him to stop?'' Dawn asked as the pair approached a clearing.

'' Right here'' Ash said, pointing to a large area full of trees.

Getting off and returning Mammoswine to his pokeball, Dawn was thankful she had changed out of her wedding attire into a pair of black pants, thigh-high boots, and a pink zip-through hoodie. This was because her surroundings contained numbers of cobbler's pegs.

'' So, this is the battle fortress?'' Dawn asked, she and her friend looking at what appeared to be a couple of trees and bramble bushes.

'' Hardly'' Ash smirked as he pushed his palm in the center of a tree, a thunderous rumble echoing around them. Soon the trees lowered to reveal a large onyx-grey fortress, complete with 18 battlements as well as towering over the pair at an impressive 40 feet tall.

'' Wow, its huge'' Dawn gasped.

'' You haven't seen anything yet'' Ash said, the arena's drawbridge slamming down.

'' M'lady?'' Ash bowed.

'' What a gentleman'' Dawn blushed as the pair entered.

Inside, Dawn was treated to what resembled a Roman-style gladiator arena with stands that Ash claimed could hold 1000 people. The battling area itself was considerably bigger than what Dawn was used to as well.

'' Ash, its somehow even bigger in here!'' Dawn squealed.

'' Yeah, minor architectural misunderstanding. Turns out the guy took my request of me and pikachu feeling like durants was taken a bit too seriously.''

'' So, how many challengers do you get?''

'' A fair amount. Then order used to involve Noland, Greta, Tucker, Lucy, Spenser, Anabel then Brandon, but now that I'm a frontier brain challengers have to face me before they can face Brandon. And believe me, even 11 years later I'm still not sure how I beat him.''

'' So, do you live here too?''

'' Actually yeah, follow me'' Ash lead Dawn up some stairs as she entered what appeared to be the tiniest studio apartment she'd ever seen.

Around her was a double bed, a wall radiator, flatscreen and tiny couch, a closet and what appeared to be a kitchenette that was also being used as a place to hang laundry.

'' Ash?'' Dawn asked.

'' Yeah?''

'' Are you poor?''

'' No. I mean, I don't earn as much as say Agatha or Lance but I still make more than the average gym leader does. Why?''

'' This place is a dump. There's black mold growing in the corners! You know what, the Battle Frontier is inter-regional and Sinnoh's one is just as good, if not better. You're coming to live with me there.''

'' What? Kanto's my home. I can't just leave all my pokemon, Gary, Professor Oak, Misty, Lance, Brock and my mom.''

'' Ash, you're being taken for granted. You're one of the strongest trainers I've ever met. If the Indigo League won't pay you what you're owed then they don't deserve to have you working for them. You're also not that versed in business tactics either. Come live with me in Twinleaf Town in Sinnoh. I have an extra bedroom.''

'' I don't know…''

'' Ash, Sinnoh's Battle Frontier is understaffed and someone with as many gym badges and experience battling as you do, you're a shoe-in for the position of frontier brain.''

''…''

'' Also I don't have black mold in my bathroom.''

'' Deal!''

Dawn gleamed before her phone went off, a familiar shriek coming from the other end of it.

'' What's up with Misty?'' Ash asked, immediately knowing her voice.

'' Toasts are about to happen, we're needed back at the ranch. I'll get Mammo-

'' No'' Ash interrupted. '' I have a faster but admittedly less intimidating way.''

'' How's that'' Dawn asked as the pair exited the fortress.

'' Watch. Torterra come on out!'' Ash tossed a pokeball in the air, soon a massive tortoise-like pokemon emerged.

'' How is this better than mammoswine exactly?'' Dawn asked, not fully convinced.

'' Watch'' Ash repeated as the pokemon lowered its head as the pair climbed up, Ash holding onto one of the trees growing on its back.

'' Why're you holding onto the tree, just sit like a normal person'' Dawn said, as she sat on the tortoise's back.

'' You'll see'' Ash said as he shut his eyes, Torterra charging forward at breakneck speed.

'' Gah! Ash how fast is Torterra going?!'' Dawn shrieked as she flew backwards, being caught by Ash's stray arm.

'' 62 miles per hour!'' Ash answered.

'' But how did you convince him to go so fast. You never even spoke?''

'' I spend a bit of my time alone with Anabel, she taught me a little pokemon telepathy and now I can do this.''

Dawn looked at the trainer next to her. Typical Ash, he'd never stop being a kid at heart.

And scene. Thanks for reading everybody, and as usual, stay safe and stay awesome!
