Chapter Three…

26th of February 2170:

It has been a few hours since Izuku entered U.A and the exam room and started his theory exam, which he had now finished and was finishing his lunch before returning to the exam room. When the theory exam finished, he made his way out of the exam room so as not to attract unwanted attention, it helped that he could wear a hood cape, like a few of the students did.

As he found somewhere quiet to think about the exam, Izuku thought back to the answers that he had given and believed that even though Bakugou was seating next to him, he didn't do as bad as he feared. Sure, Izuku felt he could have done better if Katsumi wasn't seating next to him, but he suspected that he still got a passing result either way. Now, all he had to worry about was the practical part of today's exams.

As Izuku thought about the practical exam that afternoon. He had two plans in dealing with the exam, either using his armour or his new quirk that he got from All Might. His plan was to use his armour as much as possible, as he wasn't hundred percent comfortable in using this new quirk yet. Not only that, but he wanted to show them that men could become heroes even if they don't have quirks. However, his backup plan was if things got too much or he had no other option but to use this new quirk, he would do.

Thinking about his power suit, Izuku thought back to an idea that All Might give him, getting a support team to help him. All Might suggested that if possible, set up a computer with someone from the Support Course, to keep track of the armour, how it is working, on him and his surroundings, to warn him of problems that he might not see or people that might need help that he didn't notice. Not only that, but the person from the Support Course could help with fixing the armour and designing new things for it whilst he was in class and training.

Izuku had to admit whilst his armour wasn't designed to act the way that All Might suggested, he had to admit that her idea was a good one. Like it or not, he couldn't do all he wanted alone with the suit as it is, he would need help, need it upgraded and such. If he wanted to be a top hero, he knew that he had to save more people than any other hero, to make sure to stop as many villains as he could

As if he wants to be the first male hero, the road ahead won't be an easy one, many people would be in his way. So, as he thought about it, as much as he would like to do this on his own, he realize he needed help and do more than anyone else. So, All Might's idea was the best. Not only would it mean he can save more people, but finding the right student to work with, would mean he could possibly get a better armour at the end of the day. Maybe, the kind of armour he wanted from the start, only time would tell.

Before Izuku knew it, as he thought about his plans for his armour and what he would like to do with it, he realized that lunch was over and so returned to the exam room. It wasn't too long before the rest of the examinees returned to their room and took their seats. They began to whisper to each other, talking about what the practical exam was going to be like, and what they would need to do.

For Izuku, he just seat there and waited for the orientation to begin.

Then after a few minutes, the lights went dark and everybody went quiet, wondering what was going on. Then a spotlight shone onto the podium, and behind it, they saw a figure come from behind the curtains and walked up to the podium. The person was none other than the Pro-Hero, the Voice Hero: Present Mic.

"For all you examinee listeners tuning in, welcome to my today's show! I'm your D.J for today, the one and only the Voice Hero: Present Mic!" Announced Present Mic, shifting into her radio persona, "Now everyone say, hey!"

She was met with silence though.

"Okay, I see you're all keeping it mellow I see." Present Mic said with a shrug, "That's fine, I'll skip to today's main show, I'll present to you the rundown on the practical exam. Now, are you ready!?" Present Mic called out as she struck a pose.

But she was met with more silence, although Izuku was quietly muttering about Present Mic and how he listened to her show every week. Not only that but muttering how amazing U.A had teachers that were also Pro-Heroes. He was in full geek mode at that moment, unable to hold it in much longer. Although that didn't last for long, as Katsumi told him to shut up.

"Now my listeners, as it says on your application requirements, you listeners will be conducting in a fifteen-minute mock urban battles." explained Present Mic, "Now, you can bring anything you want to help you in the battle. Once we're done here, if you haven't brought anything but would like to use something to help you, you'll be given thirty minutes in our Support Department."

After she said this, she pulled a remote out of her pocket and clicked it, the screen behind her coming alive. On the screen, there was a big box with 'you are here' written on it, then there were lines connecting to the letters, A, B, C, D, E, F and G. "You'll also be given half an hour to get ready before you'll be taken by coach to one of the specified Battle Centres which you can find out which on your test cards. Okay?"

She was once again met with silence.

Although, Katsumi said, "Ah I see they are splitting us apart so that we can't work with our friends or classmates."

"Y-You're right. Although our examinee's numbers are consecutive, we're assigned to different Battle Centres." admitted Izuku as he looked at Katsumi's card, which showed that she was going to Battle Centre A, whilst he was going to Battle Centre B.

"Damn, I was really looking forward to crushing you." said Katsumi, which made Izuku laugh nervously, "To show you that men really can't be heroes and are weak."

"Okay, okay listeners, now let me explain your mock battle." said Present Mic, making it so Izuku couldn't think about this for long, "In this mock battle, you'll be facing five different faux villains in each centre." here, the hero clicked on the remort again, where a stylized cityscape appeared on the screen, then, appearing around the cityscape, there were silhouettes of the faux villains. The first three villains were scored from one to three, but the fourth one though was scored at five. Looking at it, Izuku realized that the reason for the last one scoring for more, was that it was a flying type and so the hardest to deal with, as the other three were land types. Then another one appeared, above the cityscape, there was a robot with a score of zero above it.

"Now, you'll earn points for each of them based on their level of difficulty.." explained the blonde hero, "Now, your goal in this trial, dear listeners, is to use your quirks to raise your score by immobilizing the faux villains. Now, of course, attacking other examinees or any other unheroic actions, is a U.A no, no, you dig?" she informed them as she waved her finger, "Now listeners, you should know that it won't be as easy as defeating the faux villains."

Then clicking on the remort again, the silhouettes of the villains disappeared replaced with silhouettes of people, children, adults, and adults holding children or pushing strollers. "Now, we're at U.A are training you to be heroes, and to help you understand what to suspect as heroes, we also have Civilian Bots in the Battle Centres. These are Bots that you have to look out for, like real civilians, they'll get in your way. As in real life, civilians panic trying to run from the fights. So these Civilian Bots will do the same, it'll be up to you to protect them and make sure they don't get injured or killed. So, should you come across a Civilian Bot and they get injured or killed, you'll lose points."

There were a few whispers at this news, shocked that they would be losing points if they allowed these Civilian Bots to get injured or killed. But they were happy to hear that there were ways to regain those lost points, that was until Present Mic said, "I won't be telling you how you can get these points. As like in real life, heroes don't always get the information until they are at the scene, even then, they don't learn everything until the very last moment or not at all. So, in the exam, you'll only learn about the extra points when or if you find out about them during the exam. So, during the exam, if you see anything suspicious then I would suggest that you check it out if you have problems with points, as you might get a few extra points."

People were whispering about this, when a female with dark blue hair, with sliver framed grasses, stood up where Izuku saw that she was wearing smart looking light blue shirt and black trousers. "Excuse me, ma'am, may I ask two questions?"

"Go ahead." the hero told the young blue-haired girl.

"On the printouts, there are clearly five types of villains listed on it, not four!" stated the girl, instead of asking anything, "Such a misprint would be the height of embarrassment for the top tier hero academy for Japan! We, examinees, are here in this place, because we wish to be moulded into exemplary heroes."

To Izuku, this girl seemed to be a stick in the mud, and someone had to pull the stick out of her ass. Not that he would say such a thing to her.

"Thank you Examinee Number 7111 for the question." Present Mic thanked the blue-haired girl,

Now, as you have seen, the fifth villain type is worth zero points, they are an obstacle, that we'll be throwing in your way. There's one in every Battle Centre. Think of it as a hurdle that you have to try and avoid. I'm not saying that it's impossible to defeat them, but there's no point in doing so, so I recommend that you listeners try to avoid them and try and deal with the other villains."

"Thank you for explaining that to us ma'am." Examinee 7111 said with a deep bow, "My next question is about that boy up there." she said as she pointed up to Izuku, "What is he doing here other than disturbing us with his muttering? The General and Support Studies Exam are finished
