Rick Castle stood in his kitchen flipping Sunday morning pancakes. He had tried to make them heart shaped, but it was harder than it looked. At least he could make her a good cup of coffee that was always a plus.
Kate Beckett awoke and sighed, feeling an empty mattress and no strong arms around her body to keep her warm. She stumbled out from the bedroom into the kitchen, dressed in nothing but his oversized t- shirt. She smiled brightly, as the smell of pancakes reached her nose. He could be so sweet and kind; it was all of the little things that she loved about him.
She slowly walked up behind him and wrapped his arms around his middle, and rested her head against his back before placing a small sweet kiss to the back of his neck.
Castle smiled feeing her arms around him and turned to face her.
"Morning.." she whispered softly looking up at him.
