The night was very cold and the moon was covered by the clouds which make the entire sky looks dark. A certain building still have their lights on, which to be the Mouri Detective Agency. The owner of the agency, Mouri Kogoro is now looking through the news seriously and angrily at the same time as if something bad just happen to him. On the other hand, his daughter was practically showing a very worried look plastered on her face

Mouri Ran

Ran was in her room looking at her phone seriously as if she was waiting for someone to call her, she tried her best to calm down, but she can't. Her hands were held to each other as she was praying. Suddenly the lights were off which make her room becomes dark and the window open shows a certain magician with full white costume sitting on the window

"Ka-Kaitou Kid?!" said Ran surprised
"Hello young miss… Pardon my sudden visit" said Kaitou Kid while coming inside her room so that no one will see him from outside

Ran eyes shot up in shock, but she quickly shove her feelings away and make a run to the phantom thief. She quickly hold both Kaitou Kid shoulders and press it hard with worried and anger. The phantom thief himself was surprised but he let it since he knows what's going on

"Kid… About that night… where-"
"I know… I'm here to tell you where he might be" said Kaitou Kid in low voice
"Where is he Kid… Please, tell me where's Conan-kun?!" shout Ran who started to cry

The reason for the very cold atmosphere in Mouri Detective Agency is because the little boy that they are taking care of is missing

The boy that was loved by many people, police officers and FBI even have soft spot to him for being a very smart boy even though he's just a 7 years old. But the most notable role that makes him popular in Japan, being a Kid Killer.

Kid Killer is a nickname that was given by Suzuki Jirokichi because Conan is the only boy in the whole world who can challenge the international phantom thief, Kaitou Kid. Kid and Conan rivalry is already very famous around the world and Conan will always be invited by the police officers from the Kaitou Kid arrest team if the phantom thief release a challenge notice.

One day, after taking a challenge from Kaitou Kid

He disappeared

He was kidnapped

Suddenly someone open the door which to be Mouri Kogoro. It seems he had heard Ran shout which catch his attention. He was surprised seeing the unexpected guest right inside Ran's room

"K-Kaitou Kid?!" shout Kogoro shock
"Please wait Mouri-san… I'm here in peace" said Kaitou Kid trying to calm Kogoro down

Kogoro was about to attack him but Ran stop his father, Kogoro was confused and not to mention Ran's still tearing up

"Dad… Kid knows where Conan-kun might be" said Ran wiping her tears
"What!? Oi Kid, tell us where is he?!" shout Kogoro who quickly shut the door and want to hear what the phantom thief have to say
"First I want to apologize… Because it is my fault that Tantei-kun become like this" said Kaitou Kid in very sad voice while looking at Ran

Ran saw that his face is filled of guilt which she caught of guard. Kogoro have a feeling that his freeloader seems to be in very bad situation

"What do you mean Kid… What is going on… Where did Conan-kun go?!" said Ran
"Actually…" said Kaitou Kid in low voice

Kaitou Kid look at the moon that was shining brightly covering the city with its light after the cloud is gone from the sky.

The moon shines through a certain skyscraper, which shows a man with three red eyes mask on his head. His costume was practically dark and he was looking through the city that was covered with lights to keep the dark away from them. Beside him is a little boy who seems to be sleeping, his hands were tied behind his back and he was facing toward the city, but his eyes were closed so it was practically useless. The wind blows which make the boy's hair wave by the wind to which the man goes to the little boy and touch his hair while grinning evilly as if he just achieved a winning trophy

"Kaitou Kid... This time, in the name of great illusion. You will go down with my terrific plan as I am the one and only, Spider!" shout the man as he laughs evilly by his achievement
