Chapter 9: E Class Today Part 1
Isogai: One thing I know the fans want to know is what is E class doing today. Not super personally but you know what we've been up to ever since the show ended years ago.
Okuda: I think for starters, most of us went to the same high schools and a few of us going to the same colleges like Terasaka and his gang. Karma and I go to the same college and we do see Kanzaki, Sugaya, and Kurahashi often. I think we have one class with Kurahashi.
Kurahashi: We do which is nice. And usually depending on scheduling, the five of us go eat together every Friday after school. We were just talking yesterday about how exciting it was going to be to see all of you guys again and together in the place we grew close.
Maehara: I probably have the best one! *laughs* Not to brag but I got Karasuma as my History teacher and we usually do chat every once in a while, whenever neither of us are busy.
Isogai: Lucky bastard. *laughs*
Karasuma: It's really nice to be honest that we are still in contact with each other and seeing a few of us occasionally especially. I do know there's a few in here that are doing more than just studying. Why not we give the fans a good catchup where each of us are at now?
The class nods in agreement as each of them are either studying to pursue their career or are already into their career they wanted. They decided to go by class order starting with Karma and ending with Ritsu.
Karma: Obviously you guys know I'm studying in college and I do part time suitamation for Kaiju films which is a dream job especially becoming Godzilla. *chuckles* But um right now, I'm actually doing full time voice acting as well with Okuda for a few animes right now. I'm preparing to voice Genya for Demon Slayer Season 3 and Bakugo for My Hero Academia Season 5. And I'm recording for Shu for Shikimori and Gladion for Pokémon Journeys.
Nagisa: Showoff! *giggles*
Maehara: Damn Karma, talk about being from an assassin to being a voice actor AND Godzilla. Not to mention those paychecks must be JACKED!
Karma: True but I really don't care much about the money, it's more wanting to have some fun until I get older which I want to be a teacher.
Ryushi: You are having a great career and a great future ahead my boy.
Karma: *smiles* Thanks teach. Not to mention the best part which is marrying Okuda later this year. *Holds Okuda hand as our engagement rings show*
Rio: You guys were and still are literally the most wholesome couple we've seen. If anything, you guys are the real definition of true love. No offense to any other couples here.
Karma and Okuda blush lightly but smile at each other as everyone agrees before proceeding onto the next student.
Karma: Isogai? What you've been up to these years?
Isogai: I am studying right now to become a movie director. It's been a dream as a kid to make movies and so far, it's been going great. I am working on a small movie project with my classmates and if it turns out great, I'll gladly send it to you guys. I also do have a small part time job since the pandemic began with making movie reviews on my YouTube channel in which I had some collaborations with Rio, Itona, and Sugino or as they call each other.
Rio, Sugino, and Itona: ASSASSINS GEEKS!
The class laughs as a few of them who watches the trio's channel always seen them do that introduction.
Ryushi: I know our on-screen enemy and good friend Yanagisawa has been a director for quite a while now. I'm sure he would be glad to give you a few tips of becoming a great director, Isogai.
Isogai: After seeing him direct No Time to Die which has been one of my favorite films recently, I would definitely like to have him mentor me on movie directing. Now, how about the most hated pervert boy?
The class looks at Okajima as they all laugh knowing he isn't exactly like his anime counterpart.
Okajima: God, I hate it when they call me that. *laughs* I remember very clearly when we were on the island and it was the part where the girls head to the water in their swimsuits and my character starts to lose it with seeing them in which he legits runs to them naked before getting beat up. When they told me that was the plan I literally went, OH HELLLLL NO!
A big burst of laughter from the cast came out as they recall the loud reaction from Okajima when they were filming on the island. In the end, all the perverted boy did was run to the girls shirtless after he throw spare clothes into the air.
Okajima: Yeah, I'm not being a perv at all but I am ready to finally kick off my music career. With the pandemic looking to finally go down and after releasing a few covers on YouTube, I've finally got my first few songs ready to be sang out and hoping it all goes well.
This led to a huge applause and whistles by the class as they knew the real Okajima has always loved music. Most of the times while on break or behind the scenes, Okajima would always be playing with any instrument and singing any good songs. He wouldn't sing it alone as sometimes a few boys and girls would join him to sing or play along. He also played at the school's dance as the main singer for a couple of songs. He was also one of the main singers and guitarists for the openings.
Okano: That's amazing news Okajima! Have you contacted any studios nearby to see if they'll give you a shot.
Okajima: Actually, a few studios got an anonymous email including a few demos of mine which confused me because I sent my demos to a few of you guys and my family so I really didn't know who sent them but whoever did I really thank them because they helped me get a step ahead for my dream career.
Everyone looked at each other as to who could've sent Okajima's demos to different studios until a few people stood up which brought smiles from the cast and Okajima: Karma, Chiba, Ritsu, Hara, and Terasaka.
Ritsu: Surprise! *giggles*
Okajima: You little sneaky- *laughs and hugs the 5 friends*
Hara: Obviously since my brother owns a studio, I had to make him listen to your demos and he LOVED it.
Terasaka: Dude, you are one of the best singers I know and this is a big opportunity for you, once I heard them, I wasted no time in finding studios who would be down to work with you.
Okajima: Jeez, I didn't know you guys would go this far for me cause before they contacted me, I was going to wait a bit to email them.
Chiba: Why wait when you got your chance now. Look bro, it was always a blast when we are jamming and singing together when we didn't have a scene to do. Truly one of the best things I always remember about here.
Karma: You got all of us supporting you Okajima and we are looking forward to seeing you shine to your dream. Plus, we want concert tickets and duets as well.
Kaede: He's right!
Rio: Hell yeah we aren't missing on that!
Sugino: We are all pretty much your number one fans!
All this love and support has brought the biggest smile to Okajima. As a kid he always dreamed of singing his favorite songs and his own in front of a giant crowd and now because of this amazing family, he for sure owes them a private concert just for E Class.
Okajima: No words can really describe the amount of happiness and gratitude I have and all I can say to all of you is thank you. Now how about we move on before I start getting more emotional. *Chuckles and wipes tears*
Okano: I guess that's me but it's not much though. *giggles* Well as you all already know that Maehara and I own a choreography place for a while now and like we said, so far business is going great but as well I'm also studying at college to be a gymnastics teacher considering I love athletic things and teaching so Karma you ain't the only one. I think a few of us wanted to become a teacher because of this series and that man. *Points to Ryushi*
Ryushi: Nyuhuhuhu! I'm glad to know I've inspired a few of you. Makes me wonder how many of you are actually studying to be a teacher?
With that question being said, the hands that rose to answer were Karma, Okano, Kanzaki, Chiba, Rio, Fuwa, and Mimura. It brings a smile to Ryushi to know that despite this was a show, he was still an inspiration for a few of his students to actually wanting to be teachers. As Okano finishes her explanation, everyone looks at the next person as many of them began to chant towards Okuda.
E Class: MONA! MONA! MONA! MONA! MONA!
Okuda: *Giggles* I knew that's the first thing you guys were going to bring up!
Most of E Class plays Genshin Impact considering its popularity and impact around the world. What most of the class didn't expect is when they first played it, they would hear their purple braided friend voicing one of the playable characters.
Rio: Alright guys, we gotta head into the next level. Fuwa since you're Mona, think you can help us out with this mission?
Fuwa: You got it!
Maehara: See if maybe you can use her knowledge for this course.
Kataoka: Wait! Guys Listen!
Mona: When I first received my Vision, the elderly woman that gave it to me, she put on this air and said "May your heart of truth be with you." And yet this thing does nothing for my hydromancy, all it does is get me wet.
Sugino: Y'all...
Fuwa: No...way...
Rio: Was that Okuda?!
Maehara: That sounded like her holy sh*t!
Sugino: When?
Rio: How?
Fuwa: We need answers woman!
This brought a huge laugh from Okuda as she had a feeling her friends were going to freak out once they heard her in Genshin Impact.
Okuda: So, I was contacted back in early 2020 as the pandemic was unfortunately happening and the creators were interested in having me voice Mona because they were looking for a soft spoken yet smart and cunning type. When they gave me her quotes and auditioned it, they loved it and the rest is history. It's actually because of that start that I'm a full-time voice actress unlike Karma who's only doing part time. But at the same time, I'm also studying art since that's been my passion as a kid.
Kaede: No kidding, your artwork was always beautiful when you displayed them here.
Kanzaki: Any new roles you're gonna be working on soon Okuda?
Okuda: Hmm, new roles not yet but I will be returning to voice Miku in Quintessential Quintuplets, Shalltear in Overlord, and Hagakure for My Hero Academia Season 5 with Karma since he voices Bakugo.
Nagisa: Two amazing voice actors who were once assassins and now soon to be married. *giggles*
Okuda: *blushes red and sighs* I'm marrying the most handsome man in the world andI still need to decide my final two bridesmaids...you made it look so easy Karma.
Karma: Maybe because you should've made a club with your closest female friends like me and the boys. Isn't that right A.S.K.
Isogai, Chiba, Sugino, Maehara, and Itona: HELL YEAH!
The class shares a good laugh at the group of boys that became the best of friends and called themselves together the Assassins Street Krew. No one knows how it happened or who made the silly name but it eventually did happen, all 6 boys would go out for good times on set behind the scenes and outside the set. Even though as the years passed by with all of them growing and working on their future, it didn't stop them from meeting up and they all as well share tattoos on their arms that says A.S.K.
Kataoka: Ahem, guess I'm next. As some of you know and the rest will know now, I actually own a small business company of my own for fashion. I know it's a bit shocking for my age but being in the fashion world would be a dream any girl like me could have. *Points to Yada* After all, Japan's next top model is wearing one of my new dresses.
The class look in amazement and claps as Kataoka's work, the girls knew she had a great talent for making clothes which she made a few for them during the time of making the series including the iconic dress Nagisa wore during the island arc.
Irina: Brilliant idea to start your business small because eventually it'll help you improve even better and boost your business even bigger later on. I know I'm looking forward to buying some clothes from you and if you do need a model, you got one here. *winks*
Kataoka: Thanks Irina, I'm also helping people with the same love and passion for making clothes by bringing them into the business not to mention from experience of being here; It's not a one woman show but rather a whole teamwork. Learning from filming this show and watching how my character is, it gave me the idea of making my company of an altogether type of business. Hopefully by 2025, I can have my clothing company at least in the top 15.
Ryushi: All I can say to you is patience my dear Kataoka, as long as you and your team go in the right pace and not speed things up nor fall behind, it will be as successful as you hope to be. But like I said, patience is key.
Kataoka: *smiles* Thanks Koro Sensei- I mean Ryushi. *giggles*
Ryushi: No need to be sorry, I have that name as my official name besides I know a few of you have either called me by Koro Sensei or Ryushi during our times together.
As teenagers, the cast would always call him as Koro Sensei that it led to few of them still calling him by that name while a few others have grown out of it and called him by his real name. To Ryushi though, it still brings a big smile to his face.
Maehara: AHEM! So are we gonna forget that the next person in line is one of Japan's biggest stars right now.
Kaede: Woooow, quite the shoutout there Maehara. *laughs*
Nagisa: I think out of all of us Kaede, you're the only one who stuck with full time acting. With Karma and Okuda both doing voice acting and Isogai soon to be a director.
Kaede: Yeah, and I do kinda regret it because after hearing so far what you guys have been up to, I realized acting is a big hassle than what I actually thought. *giggles* After we finished filming, I decided to focus on having an acting career and while it's challenging once in a while, it's been fun. Been going from local tv shows and movies to now slowly going into the big leagues like Fast 9 and soon Bullet Train. I'm still studying as well to help me improve and be a better actress but whenever they asked me where I began my career, I always say Assassination Classroom which like all of us is a special place in our hearts. I also couldn't have done it without all of your love and support. Every time I get messages or audio recordings from you guys, it just brings a big smile and energy in me. You all know it that you are family and I'm truly thankful for all this. *smiles*
Aguri: Cheers for my amazing little sister everyone!
The class erupts in cheer with a few of them going to hug the actress after her heartfelt message to them. If there's one thing about this class full of assassins, they are truly family.
