It was the middle of the night did Sasuke got up from bed and made his way out into the bedroom balcony where he could cool off his mind after the eventful day he had.

It was his first day back at work after weeks, and the press just couldn't have wait to pick his brains in regards about his best friends death as if it was something he had finally got over.

And the more he thought about how hard he had to keep his cool or act normal and not flip on this assholes who were just asking these insensitive questions really started making his blood boil.

Thankfully Blake had great intuition to step in and usher them away giving him a chance to be alone in his office where he promptly punched and kicked in a few walls into his office.

And the more he thought about that, the more he thought about just wishing he could go back in time and instead beat those reporters an inch into their lives and anyone else who asks him stupid questions that really fucked up his vibe.

"Sasuke" called a sleepy Sakura, "What!" exclaimed Sasuke as he surprised his wife by barring his fangs at her.

"Is everything alright" asked Sakura as she opted to not confront him on snapping towards her, "No. No it's not alright, I'm seriously just trying to hold my shit together here darling, and yet everyone seemed to turned fucking stupid or is naturally a fucking insensitive asshole" said Sasuke as he gripped the railings of his balcony with all his might.

Resting her hands on her husband, Sasuke took a deep breath and calmed down before turning to face his wife again.

"I know it's not easy for you Sasuke, but you're doing the right thing by choosing to keep your anger in check, and not letting it get the better of you" said Sakura with words of comfort.

"I know that, but seriously I just want to beat the shit out of these people so they can get the fucking message that I'm not good and the only reason I'm back in the lime light is out of obligation" said Sasuke as his vision darkened.

"I get it, the things people say and the timing couldn't be more rude, but please don't think like that, you're better than this" said Sakura as she kissed Sasuke on the cheek.

"I'm going back to bed, don't stay up late, tomorrow is Himawari's birthday, and I want you to be on your best behavior tomorrow" said Sakura as she left her internally struggling husband alone as he continued to stare up into the sky blindly not sure why he even bothers.

The Next Day

In spite of having no less than 2-3 hours of sleep last night, Sasuke was more than ready to see his adorable niece and nephew that day.

Having already made themselves presentable, he and his family drove all the way towards the Uzumaki estate to celebrate Himawari's birthday, and to also chat with someone.

"Uncle Sasuke" cried Himawari with joy as she ran up to hug her uncle, "Hey kid, happy birthday" said Sasuke with a smile as he lifted his niece up.

"Thanks for coming guys" said Hinata, "You know we wouldn't miss the day for the world" said Sakura as he handed Hinata the gift before they entered in the house.

"Well come on in, the party is in the back" said Hinata as she lead them to backyard where bounce houses were erected, kids were playing various game activities, and some people were taking a dip in the pool.

"You really out did yourself this year" said Sasuke as he turned to Hinata with a smile, "Thanks, honestly I wanted to bring some happiness back in our lives again" said Hinata.

Gently wrapping his arms around Hinata's shoulder, the recent widow rest her head on Sasuke's shoulder.

"Are you alright Sasuke" asked Hinata, "Honestly, I'm a bit of a mess, and quite frankly angry you know" said Sasuke honestly.

"I can relate, but… if Naruto was here, he'd ask us to learn how to smile again" said Hinata, "That he would" said Sasuke as Hinata leaned off him to not appear the most saddest saps at the party.

"How's Boruto, I don't see him around" said Sasuke, "He's… definitely been in a brooding mood, quite frankly he reminds me of you when he was that age, except…" said Hinata.

"Except he lost a dad who loved him, unlike mine who was sadistic monster who got killed by his eldest son" said Sasuke trying to make a joke, that turned out really bad, leaving them both on an awkward note.

"Hinata, we could use some more soda" called a fellow party mom, "I should go" said Hinata as Sasuke stood there feeling really stupid, really insensitive, and wanting to kick his own ass the most right now.

"Sasuke, is that you" came the voice of Shikamaru as he was one of the few party guest he was well acquainted with.

"Hey Shikamaru, what's new" said Sasuke, "Same old, you know" said Shikamaru as both dad continued to walk around the party a bit.

"How you holding up man" asked Shikamaru, "I…" said Sasuke as he felt tongue tied over what happened to him not only recently but these last 12 hours.

"It's cool man, listen, I know we weren't all that close but, I'm here for you, we all are" said Shikamaru as he brought in a circle of some of their closest friends, who all wanted to check up on him, and see if he was alright, which quite frankly he's not.

While Sasuke knew deep down it was alright to not feel alright, he just wanted to escape it all for one day and enjoy the company of the only people that mattered at this 6 years birthday.

Eventually it became to much for him as he excused himself and exit the house and sit inside the drivers seat of the car, needing to take a serious mental break and distance himself from everyone.

However his moment of solace came short when his phone rang as he looked down to see his wife was calling him once more.

"Hello" sobbed Sasuke as he wiped his tears away, "Sasuke… are you alright" asked Sakura once more.

"No!, No, I'm not alright, I'm seriously struggling to hold my shit together, and if I got to hear someone ask me if I'm feeling alright again, I'm gonna fucking lose my shit!" yelled Sasuke as he erupted in a fit of angry tears.

"…Sasuke, if you want you can head back home, me and Sarada will find a way to-" said Sakura, "No, just… give me some time to myself, I've already committed to come here, I just need to be alone for a minute alright" said Sasuke.

"Alright, I'll call you before they start cutting the cake" said Sakura before hanging up.

Alone by himself with his emotions and thoughts, Sasuke decided to let out a long pained scream as he slammed his fist on the steering wheel, wishing he can take the pain and anger, and shove it down the worlds throat so everyone can truly understand what he was feeling.

Present Time

Still hard at work in seeing the world erupting in flames, Sasuke had completed his job in destroying all oil factories and pumps across the middle east, as the citizens were demanding blood from every prince and sultan that rules those lands.

"Sasuke, might I suggest you have something to eat or at the very least something to drink, you've been at this for more than 24 hours without rest" said Weiss.

"Yeah, I could go for some coffee" said Sasuke, "Very well sir, and please even if it's these measly pop tarts, at least try to eat something" said Weiss as popping from the furthest left side of his console was a large porcelain cup with a silicon sleeve as hot coffee began to fill up the cup as a plate of freshly toasted pop tarts appeared next to it.

"Thanks Weiss" said Sasuke as he slid over to take sip from his coffee, "My pleasure sir" said Weiss.

"So how are things outside the fortress" asked Sasuke, "The LAPD have been completely wiped out, however the United States Marines had suffered major casualties, causing them to retreat for now" said Weiss.

"I doubt they'll be back, but just to make sure keep an eye on them, see what we can do to ensure they don't set foot in here" said Sasuke.

"Already on, anything else you'd like me to do" asked Weiss, "Yeah, keep an eye on the Uzumaki estate for me, I want to make sure they're alright" said Sasuke.

"I'll get on it sir" said Weiss as Sasuke kicked his feet up and took a bite out of his pop tart.

"That's a damn good pop tart" Sasuke said out loud before taking another bite out of the pastry.

Alright guys, I got another chapter up and ready for you guys to enjoy, and if you like be sure to fave and follow, and leave me your guys thoughts in the review section.

So I finally got my hands on the new Grey Daze album, the Phoenix, so to those who are waiting for me to continue on, writing that one shot fic I also made a while back, please wait cause the process of having to not only listen to, but break down and resonate the songs isn't something that happened over night, cause trust me it took my 5 years before I decided to finally make this fic, only because I wasn't emotionally mature for it yet, much less the message needed to be told when addressing this fic.

Until next time, be safe, be good people, and please support your local fandom communities.
