Palla brushed through the hair of her pegasus' mane. They had a long journey ahead of them, heading back to Archanea by boat. With the war over and Est rescued, she had no reason to stay. Besides, she needed to get back to Minerva.
"Palla!" She turned to see her energetic youngest sister.
"Oh, Est. Are you ready to go?" Palla asked with a smile.
"Yeah, that's the thing..." Est said, fidgeting in worry, "can we wait for a bit? I've got some more special items I want to sell here!"
"Est!" Palla chided her, getting annoyed, "We've already paid the fare for our journey!"
"I'm sorry! I'll make the money back, I swear!" Est pleaded.
"I'll believe it when I see it..." Palla sighed. Est didn't exactly have a good track record as a merchant.
"Really, Est?" Catria stepped into the stable, having heard the discussion so far. "You couldn't have done this yesterday?"
"But we were really busy!" Est protested.
"Yeah, packing for our journey home!" Catria argued.
"We do need to get home," Palla pointed out, "Minerva is waiting for us, after all. You can always sell these things in Archanea."
"No way!" Est yelled, "this stuff's common back home! These Zofians have never seen my wares before! I'll make loads more money!"
"They'll probably not see the need for your junk," Catria sighed.
Est whipped towards her sister in indignation. "Hey! I've got much better business sense than you, Catria! I'll have my whole stock sold out in no time!"
"All right, Est, could you please..." Palla began.
"What? You call that stock?" Catria interrupted. "It's all useless!"
"Catria please..." Palla began, only to be interrupted again.
"You take that back! I'm going to make tons of money!" Est shouted.
"Enough!" Palla yelled, pointing towards both of her sisters. As she did, a stream of green light flowed from her fingers, striking both girls. They immediately stopped arguing, staring back at their sister in surprise.
"Palla... Did you just..." Catria uttered, before she started to shrink. She and her sister dwindled in size until they were only an inch tall. Palla crouched down to get a better look at the blue and pink specks that were her sisters, now lost amongst the hay.
"Hey, no fair!" Est squealed. "Grow us back!"
"Oh my," Palla said, not quite believing her eyes, "I suppose I still have a bit of magic after all."
"Great, now grow us back already!" Est demanded.
Palla smirked at her puny sister's request. She merely scooped her two sisters up into her hands.
"Now this is certainly handy," Palla smirked, "I should have only paid for one person and kept the two of you hidden."
"Uh oh..." Catria gasped, seeing that side of her elder sister returning.
"Put me down!" Est shouted.
"I don't think so," Palla said, "maybe I can shrink myself and sneak on board another boat. Or perhaps I'll just stay the big sister, at least until we get back home..."
