Long after the war, Boey was beavering away in his study. He had just found some of his old notes from one of the stranger adventures they had while fighting with Celica. Writing in a flurry of inspiration, he was getting closer and closer to cracking the secrets of the spell he had seen that day.
"Boey! Boey!" He huffed in annoyance. Mae was looking for him, no doubt to start another argument with him. While part of him enjoyed their verbal sparring, today he just wasn't in the mood.
"Boey!" Her voice was louder.

Just a bit longer...
The door flew open, slamming into the wall. "Found you!" Mae yelled.
Boey sighed. "Hello, Mae."
"How rude!" Mae chirped, "Here I am, coming in to see you, and you're not even bothering to look up from your stupid books!"
"You're only coming in her to bend my ear about something anyway," Boey said. He was so used to arguing with this woman that his responses were almost automated by this point.
"You bozo! Why are you cooped up in here, when it's such a nice day!" Mae huffed. "We could be going for a walk or something!"
"Maybe later," Boey said. It had all come together, his spell was nearly complete!
"Anyway, it's your turn to go fishing you dope!" Mae demanded.
"I've done it!" Boey shouted, standing up.
"Done what, wasting your time?" Mae taunted. "I thought you had better things to do!"
His spell finished, all he needed now was to test it.
"Let's see if you think this is a waste of time!" He said, raising his hand. Mae spluttered in surprise before a stream of green magic flew out from his hand, striking her body.
"What are you doing?!" Mae screamed.
"Well, I needed to try out this magic. And since you so kindly volunteered..."
"No!" Mae squealed, dwindling on the spot. She quickly shrank down until she was no more than 4 inches tall!
"Ha ha! Success!" Boey cheered.
"Not this again!" Mae squeaked. She tried to run from the giant approaching her, but her little legs couldn't carry her fast enough. Bending down, he scooped the miniaturized mage up into his hand.
"Grow me back right now!" Mae demanded from his palm.
"Sure. I'll just have to figure out the growth spell first," Boey chuckled.
"What?!" Mae screamed.
"Don't worry, it shouldn't take too long," Boey joked, "now, how about that walk?"
