Yakko, Wakko, Jordan, and Barbara were driving down the street. They were all anticipating where they were going, and hoping for the best, not expecting the worst. Also, Jordan had just got done telling Yakko and Wakko everything about himself.

"And that's my entire life story." Jordan finished off.

"Wow, that's some really interesting stuff." Yakko said.

"I didn't know you were ambidextrous." Wakko said.

"Neither did my dad until told him like two weeks ago. I waited sixteen years to tell him." Jordan said.

"Oh, you're sixteen, huh? I'm fourteen." Yakko said.

"I'm eleven." Wakko said.

"Well, you two act pretty mature for your age, and I mean that as a compliment." Jordan said.

"So do you." Yakko said.

"That's the power of good parenting!" Barbara said.

"Anyway, Barbara, tell us about you." Yakko said.

"Is there anything interesting about your life that you'd like to share?" Wakko asked.

"Well, I had Jordan when I was a senior in college. I was dating his dad at the time and a year later, we got married." Barbara said.

"Aww, how romantic." Yakko said.

"But fourteen years later, we got divorced. It wasn't over anything bad, though. Me and him are still good friends." Barbara said.

"That's good." Wakko said.

"Jordan's the best thing that ever happened to me." Barbara said with a smile.

"Aw, shucks, Mom!" Jordan said while blushing.

"Hey, Yakko, Wakko, how old is your sister?" Barbara asked.

"She's ten." Yakko said.

"I remember when I was ten. I was in fifth grade and finally learned how to skateboard. Ever since then, it's been my favorite hobby." Jordan said.

"I don't know if I have a favorite hobby, to be honest." Yakko said.

"Same." Wakko said.

"I don't think Dot does, either." Yakko said.

Noticing the gas tank was getting low, Barbara said, "I hate to be that person, but we need to get gas. Luckily for us, we're coming up on a gas station right now."

"That's okay, do whatever you gotta do." Yakko said.

The car stopped at a gas station/convenience store. Barbara pulled up to Station #3. "I'm just gonna fill this thing up."

"Good idea." Jordan said while playing a game on his phone.

Barbara got out of the car and swiped her credit card to pay. She then grabbed the pump and inserted it into the tank, filling it up. When it was done, she put the pump back in the holder, closed the nozzle, and got back in the car.

"Alright! I filled up the car and now we can continue to get moving!" Barbara said.

"Hooray!" Yakko, Wakko, and Jordan cheered with their hands in the air.

Barbara started up the car and began driving once again. "I'm trying to go as fast as I can. I know you guys want to save your sister and your friends."

"Oh, you don't have to rush. We just need to get there as fast as possible." Yakko said.

"If somebody at that complex tried to mess with Dot, then so help me." Wakko said.

"They'll have to face your wrath." Jordan said.

"Yeah!" Wakko agreed.

All of a sudden, it started to get cloudy outside.

"Hm, it sure got cloudy out here pretty fast." Barbara said.

"I hope it doesn't rain." Jordan said.

Unfortunately, soon after the boy said that, it started to rain.

"Me and my big mouth!" Jordan said, defeated.

"Hey, who cares if it rains? It's not gonna stop us from accomplishing our mission." Yakko said.

"Rain, schmain. Big deal." Wakko joked.

The car stopped at a red light. It started to rain even harder, eventually pouring. Then, police cars came piling in like crazy.

An officer came out and pulled out a megaphone. "Everyone, get off the streets as soon as you can! The roads are flooding and it's not safe to be driving! It could be dangerous!"

"Well, this throws a wrench in our plan." Jordan said.

"Don't worry, everyone, we'll stay at a motel for the rest of the day, or at least until the rain stops, then we'll continue tomorrow." Barbara said.

"We can't afford to continue tomorrow, Barbara!" Yakko whined.

"I'm sorry, Yakko, but we have no choice." Barbara said.

"She's right." Jordan said, nodding.

Yakko frowned in disappointment.

"At least we'll get some rest in between." Wakko said.

"The nearest motel is a few blocks behind us. We've passed by it before." Barbara said.

Driving to the hotel, the group got out of the car and ran into the building, trying to stay as dry as possible (they didn't really).

The receptionist at the front desk looked up. "Welcome! How may I help you on this sudden rainy day?"

"Hi there! We'd like to check into two rooms, please." Barbara said.

The receptionist checked the computer to see if two rooms were available, and they were.

"Alright! It'll be one-hundred and twenty dollars even, please." The receptionist said.

"Daaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnggggggg!" Yakko, Wakko, and Jordan exclaimed in utter surprise.

"A little pricey, but alright." Barbara said, making a face. She handed the receptionist her credit card.

The receptionist took the card and ran it through the system. She gave it back.

"Thank you." Barbara said.

"You're all set! Enjoy your stay!" The receptionist said, giving the receipt.

Barbara thanked the receptionist once more as she, her son, Yakko, and Wakko walked out of the lobby.

"A hundred and twenty dollars for a room. This is Burbank, not Beverly Hills." Yakko said snarky.

"If it works for them, it works for them." Jordan said with a shrug.

The group walked to their rooms. According to the receipt, their room numbers were #123 and #124, respectively.

In Yakko and Wakko's room, one of them was torn over whether they were going to succeed in finding Dot and company, and the other was fully confident.

"We're going to rescue them, Yakko." Wakko reassured.

"But what if we don't? There's a one in a million chance that we succeed, and a bigger chance we fail." Yakko said.

"You gotta start looking on the bright side more often, dude. I can't believe I'm telling you this. I'm your younger brother, you're the one who should be giving ME good advice, not the other way around." Wakko said.

Yakko smiled. "You're right. I should be more confident in myself. Remember, I'm still freaking out on the inside."

"It sure beats having a meltdown!" Wakko said.

Yakko laughed, then Wakko did, too.

Over in Jordan and Barbara's room, they also we're talking about if they were to fail or succeed.

"Do you think we'll succeed in saving them?" Jordan asked.

"Of course, honey! Why wouldn't we?" Barbara asked.

"Well, you know, there's always that chance." Jordan said.

"With that chance being incredibly small." Barbara said with a smile.

"Your optimism is contagious." Jordan said, getting excited.

Barbara laughed with joy.
