This one contains a lot of the marauders, since it's Lily's 6th year and Jily has happened! This ones for all y'all very late bloomers out there.

Lily Evans

Lily layed on the sofa in the common room, thinking of her newts and the revision she would have to do whilst covered in a blanket and a hot water bottle on her stomach. Her lower abdomen had started to hurt, and Lily was sure that it was just illness, but McGonagall had insisted that she lay there until she was 100% sure that what Lily had wasn't contagious nor severe. Her stomach had hurt for the last couple of days, and she was fine then! But when she told James, he had immediately gone to Professor McGonagall to check her out. Merlin, she got he was her boyfriend now, but he was too cautious for her liking, though she knew that it was out of love and concern. James and Lily had been dating for 2 months, and it was the best 2 months of her life! They would usually on a Saturday evening go and sit near the daisies at the lake-side, but not today since she was bound to a stupid bed until tommorrow.

She rolled from side to side, noticing her stomach pain had come back and firmly pressed the hot water bottle back on her abdomen. James walked in the room just before then, and when he saw Lily was in pain, James came running over. "Lils? What's wrong?" James put his hand on her forehead to check she wasn't sick, and it was normal? "Nothing James, just a stomach ache." she combed her hand through his hair, "I promise i'm fine!" Lily had accidentally raised her voice. Oh God. James moved back slowly, making sure not to bump into anything on the way. Though he did, mind you. At least he tried. "I'm sorry James, I don't know what's gotten into me." Lily realised what she had done, and got out of bed to give James a hug. "Get back into bed!" James insisted, but still gave in to the hug anyway. "I'm going to the loo, anyways." She walked over to the loo door, "So I had to get up!" James huffed enthusiastically and replied, "Okay, okay. Straight back to bed though!" And giggles came through the bathroom door.

When Lily had done her business, she noticed a large red stain on her underwear which had soaked into the inside layer of her nightgown. Oh no, period. She took a deep breath, and wrapped some toilet paper round her underwear. She intended to go see McGonagall when it was dark, but night time had already rolled around, and James was still here. She quickly took her notebook from under the sink where she had 'accidentally' left it for emergencies, and wrote a list of things to get from the kitchens at the other end of the school. She knew she would need this notebook sometime. Emerging back from the bathroom, she went over to James, passing him the note "I need you to get me these from the kitchen, please." James scanned the note, looking at each item carefully, "okay love" and kissed her on the cheek before leaving the tower.

When she heard the Fat Lady speak, Lily made her way to McGongall's office. A soft voice came from behind the large, brown door. "Who is it?" It was McGonagall's angelic voice that made Lily calm down a bit. "Lily, Professor." Lily confidently but sweetly communicated, and opened the door just enough so that she could squeeze through it. "What seems to be the problem, dear?" Lily just started crying. Right there, in the moment. "I got my period and I only got James to get me those things so he would leave and-" The professor chipped in, "you're embarrassed. I understand, Lily." Lily gasped, clenching her fists in shock. "You do?" McGonagall nodded, "I was a so-called 'late bloomer' too. I was about your age when I got my period." she paused for a second, looking into Lily's eyes. "I was in the exact same situation you were, I don't know why I didn't see this before" She replied, "You were showing all the signs, especially yesterday." The professor giggled slightly, both of them recalling yesterday's events. "Yeah, that was embarrassing." Lily confessed, starting to fidget.
"Nevermind that, how are you feeling?" McGonagall placed her hands on her desk and pushed her glasses up her nose.

"Good, I just need stuff." Lily embarrassingly admitted, making her cheeks go slightly red.

"That's fine, dear. I have some in that lavatory if you need it." Minerva pointed to the bathroom to the left of her and took the blanket off of Lily's shoulders. "Thanks, professor." Lily replied, running to the bathroom having noticed a little bit of blood on the blanket.

After grabbing the pad and reading the instructions, Lily put the pad on her new underwear that McGonagall had given her and left the bathroom. Minerva was still sitting at her desk, patiently waiting for when she got out, "Now, Lily. Take a seat." and a safe feeling rushed through her. "Now, do you have any questions?" The professor asked, and Lily's face went red. "I know about periods and what they are, but why am I so much later than my friends?" she asked, fiddling with her fingers and turning her viewpoint to the floor. "Lily, it changes usually with genetics. And you're not the only one who was late, remember that." McGonagall replied, putting her hand on Lily's shoulder. "Thanks" Lily turned her head to her professor, "But I don't know who to tell. My friends and I had promised to tell each other everything, but what if they make it a big deal? And do I tell James? My parents?" Minerva let out a sigh, "You tell who you're comfortable telling, dear." She sat closer to Lily, "But I would advise telling your mother, she can help you a lot more than I can." Lily groaned dramatically, "Do I have to?" and placed her head on the desk in front of her.

"Lily, your mother is there to help you with this kind of thing, she isn't going to make fun of you for it." Minerva took Lily's hand, giving her a slight smile as she did so, "I can owl her if you like."

"Please, I really need her right now." Lily started to cry again. Her professor ran her hand through Lily's hair and comforted her, "I understand, love. I'll owl her now."

"Thank you."

A couple of hours later, Lily was laying in her bed after waking up from cramps, when she heard slight murmuring from the bottom of the stairs. She checked the time, it was 11:30. Who would walk around the dorm at 11:30? As the murmurs became louder, she started to hear the conversation. It was a woman's voice, and she said "She was trying to hide how much she needed you, but I got her to accept her feelings in the end." By the end of this sentence, Lily saw McGonagall right in front of her, but by herself. The first question she could ask was - "Where's James? Did he come back from the kitchens?" and in return, she got a giggle from the professor. "Don't you worry Lily. James came back safe, but I told him you were asleep. So he's taking a nap." Minnie explained, "But, I do have another visitor"

Lily's eyes went wide in shock, when she saw her mother standing at the door frame, "Mother?!"

"Alright, Lils?" Her mother's masculine voice rang in Lily's ears but in a comforting way, and she liked it. The duo formed an enthusiastic hug, and when Lily was put down, her cramps came back. She winced and held her stomach, hoping it would help - it didn't. "Oh, Lils. Come lay down" Lily's mother noticed her daughter in visible pain, and carried her to her bed, putting a heating spell on her lower abdomen - making it glow red. Lily giggled at the sight of it, "My tummy's red" and turned onto her side, waiting for the spell to kick in. "Have a good rest, love." Nancy replied, turning to her daughter and giving her a kiss on the forehead, "And before you say anything, I am going to stay at the school until tomorrow." Lily turned to her mother, smiling at her childishly as she did so, "Okay, mama. Love you." She turned over back to her side, making sure to turn the light off on the way and went back to sleep.

It turned to morning, and Lily woke up to her curtains open. She turned over to check the time, when she noticed a note on the side that read "Morning, lil. Here's some breakfast to keep you going. Love you - James." Next to the note, a white tray sat with a donut, a cup of tea and some scones he had made while she was asleep. She took a bite of the donut, and got out of bed hoping to find James, and slipped on the pink fluffy slippers he had bought her for valentines day this year. Walking down the steps of her dorm, she saw a post-it-note taped to the wall with the words "If you see this, I'm at the lake waiting for you - James" written on it. She ran out, slipping on her shoes and putting on her dressing gown on the way, Lily saw a messy-haired brunette in the distance. She came closer, finally adjusting her eyes to the sun, and tapped the boy on the shoulder. "Lily! Good morning, love" James noticed Lily was slightly uncomfortable, so gave her a kiss on the cheek to cheer her up, "Come sit."

Lily sat down next to James, letting him brush through her hair. "How's your tummy?" He gently took her hand in his, and stroked it. Lily was still holding her stomach, but said "Good" anyways. "No, it's not." James pulled a concerned face, "Did something happen yesterday? Is that why you're not speaking to me?" Lily gave a positive answer to avoid the questions, but somehow got more questions. "Something happened yesterday, and I don't want to talk about it." Lily answered the question truthfully to avoid questions this time, because apparently, that's what James understands, "You'll get all weird about it."

"No I won't." James kissed Lily on the hand, "Come on, just tell me."

"Okay, okay." Lily giggled slightly, "But don't make a big deal, okay?" She squeezed James' hand as another cramp came through, and winced.

"Ow!" He laughed, "Are you okay?" Sarcasm ran through his voice as he was still laughing.

Lily didn't answer that question. Instead, she started crying?

"Lils, what's up?" He rubbed her back in an attempt of comfort, "Tell me what happened, love."

Lily moved to hug James, pressing her head and against his chest. She wanted to say, but something inside stopped her. It took her a few minutes to get the words out. "I got my period yesterday"

"Is this your first time?" James thought the answer would be no, she was 16 after all, but it didn't hurt to ask. A nod in agreement came from her, and James quickly lifted her up from the floor, taking her to his dorm.

James carried Lily through the common room and into the dorm, when he saw that they were all in there. "Alright boys." James greeted them with a crying Lily on his shoulder, "Can you guys leave for a bit? I have a bit of a…situation to deal with." The boys agreed, with Sirius mouthing 'What's up with her?' and James mouthing back 'First Period'. Placing Lily down on her bed, James put a blanket over her shoulders and went to leave the room "Lils, I'll be back in a minute, okay?" In reply to this, Lily nodded and James shut the door behind him. Just as he came down the small set of stairs, Sirius came up to him. "What's going on?" He asked, and James pulled a face. "First period, Sirius." James felt his cheeks go slightly red, but not enough that it was visible. "Huh? Like the class?" Sirius was confused, of course he was. "Shit" James whispered, going more red. "No Sirius, not the class." his voice suddenly turned into a whisper, "the blood period."

"Oh.." Sirius' face turned red too.

"Guys, what is going on here?" Pete asked, coming closer to the duo, "and why are you both blushing like that?"

"Nothing, Pete." Sirius thought of the first reason he could, and came up with "James is just thinking about Lily's boobs!"

"SIRIUS!" James shouted, making everyone else in the common room stare. Instead of standing up for himself, he went into the dorm where Lily was, and grabbed some of Moony's chocolate.

"Here, love." James gave Lily the chocolate, and Lily took it. But when she took a glance at his face, she couldn't help but giggle. "Why are you blushing like that? Am I too much for you?" Lily stood up, showing off her body and being silly. "Can't handle this amazing body?" she started laughing again, and ended up with hiccups by the end of it.

"Your boobs are cute, but no." James admitted, "Now come here cute-boobs" and James started tickling each other to the ground, bursts of giggles coming from both of them.

Meanwhile, the 3 boys were still sitting in the common room. Hearing the giggles, Remus asked, "You think they're going at it?"

Sirius shook his head, turning to him. "Lily's on her period, you can't have sex on your period."

"I'm pretty sure you can" Remus smiled eagerly, happy with himself for getting to prove Sirius wrong.

"Not if you want an easy clean up." Sirius giggled, accidentally slapping Pete on the shoulder.

"Ouch!" Pete turned to him, "Are you trying to go to Azkaban?" He groaned, sitting back down, "Can we please change the subject?"

"Why Pete, are you jealous that you're still a virgin?" The 2 boys giggled, and Pete got out of his chair.

"Have fun being sex-maniacs" Pete replied sarcastically, leaving for the dorm as he did so.
