At the hotel, Yakko, Wakko, Jordan, and Barbara were patiently waiting for the rain to clear up. They were all sitting in the lobby looking for an answer.

"Is this rain ever gonna go away?" Yakko asked.

"Right? It's like the rain doesn't care that we have lives to save." Wakko said.

"It shouldn't be too much longer. I mean, the sun is partly shining on one side." Jordan said.

"It should be shining on all sides." Barbara said.

The rain had dialed back a bit from before, meaning it wasn't raining as hard as it was an hour ago.

It took roughly fifteen for the rain to stop completely, but once it did, Yakko, Wakko, Jordan, and Barbara were ecstatic.

"Finally!" Yakko said excitedly.

"Mother Nature decided to give us a break!" Wakko said with a giddy smile.

"You know what that means!" Jordan said.

"Let's go save their lives!" Barbara said cheerfully.

"WAHOO!" The group shouted with glee.

Yakko, Wakko, Jordan, and Barbara immediately checked out of the hotel and ran towards the car. They all got in, started it up, and drove off like there was no tomorrow.

"This is it, you guys. We're this close to getting our friends back." Yakko said, making a hand gesture.

"I'm so excited I could cry. Tears of joy, of course." Wakko said.

"You can save your tears of joy when you reunite with your sister." Jordan said.

"You're gonna need 'em." Barbara said.

Driving further, the car stopped at a red light. It lasted for two minutes. The light turned green and the car resumed driving.

"According to the GPS on my phone, it says we'll get to Fort Burbank in forty-five minutes." Barbara said.

"Sounds fair to me." Yakko said.

"I've heard about that place on the news. The guy who owns it sounds like a complete and total nutcase." Wakko said.

"If by some chance we interact with him, which we most likely will, I don't know what's gonna happen. He sounds dangerous." Jordan said.

"When we get there, all of you stay close to me. I can't risk any of you getting hurt." Barbara said.

"We will. By the way, Jordan, I just gotta say, I love your mom." Yakko said.

"She's so sweet and down-to-earth." Wakko said.

"Awww!" Barbara said, touched.

"She gets that a lot." Jordan said with a proud smile.

"Barbara, I'll just say that you've been a mother figure towards Wakko and I. Me and my sibs don't have parents, so it's nice to have someone look out for us and be there for us." Yakko said.

"We couldn't be more thankful." Wakko said.

"You're very welcome. I noticed you two live alone in a water tower. Do you ever get lonely over there by yourselves?" Barbara asked.

"Nope! We have each other, so we're all good." Yakko said.

"We're over ninety years old and we've lived in that tower for that long, too." Wakko said.

"And when we mean ninety, that's our technical ages. Our biological ages are still fourteen, eleven, and ten, respectively." Yakko said.

"Oh, I see. I got caught off guard when you said ninety years." Jordan said with a giggle.

Maya was in her house sitting in her bedroom in silence. She was trying to forget about what happened earlier, by means of attempting to completely erase it from her mind. But she also thinking about something else. Something she felt like she needed to do for six years.

I need to turn my dad in to the police. He's way too dangerous to not be locked up. I know he's my father and I love him, but it's too high a price.

There was a knock on the front door all of a sudden. Hearing it, Maya groaned.

That better not be him.

Maya reluctantly left her room and walked into the living to answer the door. She staggered when she found out who it was.

"You have got to be kidding me..."

"Pierre told me you escaped the holding area by climbing out the window above you." Ivan said.

"Of course he did." Was all Maya could say.

"Why would you do that?" Ivan asked.

"Because normal human beings don't like to trapped in confined spaces where it makes them super uncomfortable!" Maya said.

Ivan looked down at the floor, and looked up again. "I'm quite disappointed in you, young lady."

Maya scowled. "I'm a grown ass woman, just so you know. If you're going to ground me, I'm afraid that won't work out."

"No, Maya, I'm not going to ground you. I'm just baffled on why you would disobey my orders like that." Ivan said.

"I heard you killed a toon earlier today." Maya said, changing the subject.

"You heard right. He had it coming." Ivan said.

"Do you know if he had family?" Maya asked.

"I didn't focus on that stuff, Maya. I just wanted to get rid of him, nothing else." Ivan said.

"Okay, well, you've accomplished what you wanted to achieve. Now you can sit back and rest! It's that simple!" Maya said.

"No, dear, it's not. I still have many more things I have to do." Ivan said.

"I'm not surprised at all." Maya said.

"Come with me, please." Ivan said.

"I'm going anywhere with you." Maya said while taking a step back.

"I said you're coming with me!" Ivan yelled.

"No!" Maya yelled.

Ivan got angry and grabbed his daughter by her arm. She tried to fight him off, but it was ineffective.

"I HATE YOU!" Maya shouted with all of her anger present.

Ignoring her, Ivan dragged Maya to his car and forced her to get in. She was panting.

"Are you going to kill me?" Maya asked.

"No, honey, no. I would never kill my own daughter, ever. I'm just...just please be quiet." Ivan said.

Maya didn't say anything.

Ivan started up his car and drove off.

Still driving down the smooth road, Barbara checked the GPS.

"It says we have thirty minutes remaining until we get to FB."

"We're getting closer!" Yakko said while rubbing his hands together.

"Ooh, I know!" Wakko said with a grin.

"Do you have an idea what you're going to do after we free everybody?" Jordan asked.

"Oh, yes. First, I'm going to apologize to Dot for smashing her helicopter and promise to NEVER EVER do something insane like that EVER again." Wakko said.

"Then, we'll probably go out for ice cream or something." Yakko said.

"Heh, the first thing on your mind after saving your sister is ice cream." Jordan said.

"I get hungry real easily." Wakko said.

"Oh, I had no idea. I apologize if I came across as insensitive." Jordan said apologetically.

"It's all good!" Wakko said.

"Wakko's hypoglycemic." Yakko said.

"Yep." Wakko said.

"Ah, I see." Jordan said.

"I have a cousin who's hypoglycemic. You'll be surprised on how much his blood sugar drops frequently." Barbara said.

"Is he on medication? Wait, actually, don't answer that. It's none of my business." Yakko said.

"It's fine!" Barbara said with a giggle. "To answer your question, he doesn't take any medication. He just needs to eat something every couple hours. But, he exercises frequently and has a healthy diet, so that's good."

"I should start doing that. I eat so much junk food it's not even funny." Wakko said.

"It should be funny because you just gobble everything down like a scavenger." Yakko said, amused.

"Reminds me of our dog." Jordan said.

The traffic started to get heavier, much to the group's dismay.

"Ugh, there's a lot more traffic coming in at this hour. Just what we needed." Barbara said.

"We can fight traffic. I mean, we do every time Scratchy takes us to the dentist." Yakko said.

"He's the psychiatrist at the Warner Bros. lot, right?" Jordan asked.

"Yup! We like to refer to him as our 'p-sychiatrist'." Wakko said.

"And if I remember correctly, his assistant's name is Hello Nurse. Do I have that right?" Jordan asked.

"Spot on!" Yakko said.

"Gotcha." Jordan said.

Ivan pulled up to the Fort Burbank entrance. He and Maya got out of the car.

"I looked at Pierre's name tag and it said his last name was 'Donaldson'." Maya said, trying to stall.

"Yes it is." Ivan said.

Still holding on to Maya, Ivan made a hand signal to the guards to open the double-doors. They did.

"You're gonna thank me for this sooner or later." Ivan said.

Maya merely scowled at her father.

Ivan and Maya entered the building and walked into the main room. A big white sheet was covering something unknown.

Pierre brought in a chair. "Sit down, Maya."

Maya begrudgingly did as she was told. Pierre then used rope tie her hands to the chair to keep her still.

"Don't make any noises. Don't scream, don't yelp, nothing. Understand?" Pierre asked.

"Yeah. Yeah, I understand. I understand that you guys are complete monsters." Maya said with hostility in her voice.

"Don't listen to her, Pierre. She's just trying to make things more difficult." Ivan said.

"Difficult my ass..." Maya mumbled under her breath.

"What's the progress on your latest invention, sir?" Pierre asked.

"Ah, yes, that's what I wanted to talk to you about. See, I'm working on a gigantic laser machine that'll blast all of our captives to oblivion. Once I get it working, it'll wipe them out with one zap!" Ivan said excitedly.

"Incredible, sir!" Pierre said, impressed.

"You're insane, both of you!" Maya interjected. Ivan and Pierre turned around to look at her. "That machine will eradicate these toons! You can't let that happen!"

"I'm sorry, Maya, but what's done has to be done. I have it no other way." Ivan said.

"No, Dad, you do. You're just choosing not to acknowledge the other option. You're just sick, you need help." Maya said.

"I know how to shut her up." Pierre said, clenching his fists.

"No, Pierre, don't harm her. I want her alive." Ivan said.

"But sir, she's just making things more difficult." Pierre said.

"I know, but I can't risk losing my own flesh and blood. Not like this." Ivan said.

Pierre made a face. "Just call me if you need anything." He walked away.

Despite that fact that Ivan was an insane mastermind, he at least had SOME humanity. In spite of everything he's done, he still truly loved his daughter, and she loved him.

"At least you still care about me." Maya said, giving a light smile.

"I always will, Maya. Until the day I die." Ivan said.

[Outside the complex]

Yakko, Wakko, Jordan, and Barbara pulled up to the building. They looked at the guards hastily.

"I have a bad feeling about this." Jordan said, tensing up.

"Don't worry, Jordan, Wakko and I know how to get rid of those guards." Yakko said.

"With our trusty mallets." Wakko said.

"That's right." Yakko said.

"Be careful!" Barbara said with a worried face.

Yakko and Wakko got out the car and approached the guards, smiling.

"This area's off limits, boys. No one goes in unless you're a worker." Guard #1 said.

"That's all fine and dandy with us, but uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...we just wanna show you our mallets." Yakko said.

"Your mallets?" Guard #2 asked.

"Uh-huh! They're quite nice to look at, if I'm being honest." Wakko said.

"Okay, well, make it quick." Guard #1 said.

Yakko and Wakko unveiled their mallets and without hesitation, they knocked the guards with them.

"Told you they were nice to look at." Yakko said to an unconscious Guard #1.

Jordan and Barbara got out the car.

"Wow, you guys actually did it." Jordan said.

"Oh my...I hope they're alright. I usually don't encounter things like this." Barbara said with worry on her face.

"We set our mallets to 'stun', so they're good." Wakko said.

"Now all we've gotta do is find a way to get inside this place." Jordan said.

"I've got you covered." Yakko said. He pressed the red button that opens the double-doors. They opened slowly just like they always did.

"Huh, I didn't notice the button right there." Jordan said, pointing to it.

Yakko, Wakko, Jordan, and Barbara went inside Fort Burbank. All of them were at a loss for words when they saw how huge the main room was alone.

"Pardon me for saying this, but holy shit! This place is gigantic!" Barbara said with utter surprise.

"No kidding!" Wakko said.

From their rooms, the cast of Animaniacs quickly got excited when they saw the group. Dot, especially, was tearing up at the sight of seeing her brothers again.

Ivan walked into the commotion. "What the hell is going on here?!" He demanded answers.

"Well, you must be Ivan Jacobson." Yakko said, taking a good look at him.

"Yeah, I'm Ivan Jacobson. I wanna know you got in here in the first place!" Ivan said.

"That doesn't matter. We came here to save innocent people." Barbara said.

"Including my sister!" Wakko said.

Pierre ran in. "What's going on, boss?!"

"Pierre, get these intruders out of my complex. The last thing I need is more people interfering with my work." Ivan said.

"Yes, sir." Pierre said.

"No!" Jordan intervened. "Before anyone does something they might regret, I just wanna say something."

"Jordan, what are you doing?" Barbara asked worriedly.

"Relax, Mom, I got this. Look, Mr. Jacobson, I know you feel what you're doing is right. You lost your wife at the hands of toons. But just because you lose somebody dear to you doesn't mean you have to go off the deep end." Jordan said.

"Pierre, fire up the machine." Ivan ordered.

Pierre pressed some buttons on the console of the laser blaster to turn it on. The actual laser was pointing at the Animaniacs, getting ready to blast them. They gasped instantaneously.

"Mr. Jacobson, you don't have to do this. I know how it feels to lose people close to you. My grandparents died in a fatal car accident when I was little. But my family and I are still functioning just fine." Jordan said.

Ivan made a face. "What are you trying to say, young man?"

"I'm trying to say that there's always hope. There's always a choice." Jordan said.

"The toons who took my wife away from me had a choice, and yet they disregard their morality." Ivan said.

"Forget about them." Jordan said.

"I can't." Ivan said.

"Well, what about your daughter? She cares about you, she doesn't want to see you make more mistakes down the line." Jordan said.

"You keep my daughter out of this!" Ivan snapped.

"He's right, Dad! Please, I'm begging you, don't do this! Your risking those toons' lives as well as your own!" Maya said.

Ivan's face turned to pure despair.

"So, Mr. Jacobson, my question to you is this. Are you willing to actually give a damn about someone besides yourself, or are you just going to throw it all away?" Jordan asked.

Ivan didn't say anything at first, before relenting. "Pierre...turn the machine off."

"Are you sure, boss?" Pierre asked.

"Positive. I've caused enough trouble." Ivan said, taking a deep breath.

Tears of happiness rolled down Maya's face. "Good job, Dad." She was smiling proudly.

It was at this time that a S.W.A.T. team busted into Fort Burbank, alarming everyone.

"ANYONE WHO WORKS HERE, PUT YOUR HANDS IN THE AIR NOW!" An officer shouted, aiming his gun carefully.

A group of officers managed to arrest Ivan, Pierre, and all of the other workers.

One officer freed Maya from her restraints, and another used a battering ram to free the Animaniacs cast from their rooms. They all ran out like a herd of cows.

Dot, overjoyed, ran to her brothers and they all group-hugged, crying tears of joy and relief.

"I missed you guys so much!" Dot said.

"We missed you, too!" Yakko said.

"You have no idea how much we thought you were dead!" Wakko said.

"Wait, you guys actually thought I was dead?" Dot asked in surprise.

"Well, yeah, we did." Yakko said.

Jordan and Barbara were happy seeing the Warners reunited.

"I'm glad they're back together." Jordan said.

"Me too." Barbara said. She then pulled her son into a hug. "I am so proud of you! Not many people would have the courage to do what you did!"

Jordan laughed with pure joy.

Maya walked into the scene.

"That was a very noble thing you just did, champ!" Maya said with a proud smile. She tussled Jordan's hair.

"I raised him quite well. I'm Barbara, by the way." Barbara said.

"I'm Maya." Maya said.

Barbara and Maya shook each other's hands.

The Warners had their arms around each other. Their bond was strong.

"Well, everyone, I say let's get the heck out of here. This place is starting to freak me out." Yakko said.

The Warners, Jordan, Barbara, and Maya happily left Fort Burbank, while Ivan, Pierre, and the other workers were being escorted by the police.
