Murata VS Romance – Chapter 4
It was another busy day on Kimetsu Academy. Murata, a student who finally managed to overcome his fears and asked a girl out, was eating lunch in the cafeteria, with a big smile. He couldn't think about anything else other than his upcoming first date. Thanks to Shinobu Kocho, an upperclassmen, he decided to ask out Ane Ayaki, the girl which helped him in the first place. As he was thinking, he noticed another person sitting next to him.
"STAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARE*…"
"…y-yes? Do you… need something?" Murata asked
"Traitor…" Zenitsu murmured
"What?"
"YOU TRAITOR!" Zenitsu snapped at him
"Huh?! What are you talking about?" Murata asked confused
"I saw you… I know what happened…" said Zenitsu as he was giving him a death stare
Murata just looked at him with a disturbed expression, as he had no idea what he was talking about.
"Getting a date… while I don't get one… DISGUSTING…" said Zenitsu as he was slowly shaking his head
"Oh… OH! Y-you know? Hahahaha…" Murata replied as he laughed and blushed a bit
"DON'T LAUGH! THIS IS NO LAUGHING MATTER!" Zenitsu snapped at him again
"Well… you know… I can tell you a bit about her." said Murata
"I don't care." replied Zenitsu, but Murata ignored him
"Her name is Ane Ayaki…" he said with a smile
"Ugh…" said Zenitsu annoyed
"And she is very nice…" Murata continued
"UGH!" said Zenitsu annoyed and angry
"And she is really smart…" Murata continued
"I GET IT, SHUT UP NOW!" Zenitsu replied with anger
"And finally… she is very cute." Murata finished and was blushing as he was thinking about her
"DUDE, I GET IT, YOU GOT A DATE AND NOT ME! WAAAAAHHHHH!" Zenitsu replied again as he started crying
Murata was just smiling and blushing as he was thinking about his upcoming date…

while Zenitsu had a mental breakdown right next to him.
As he finished his lunch, Murata went to his next classes. After 2 more classes, the time has finally come. His first ever date. But as he was waiting outside the academy for Ane, he realized something.
"Wait… what… are we going to do… and where are we going?" he murmured to himself and started to panic as he had no answer
He was thinking about his date the whole day, but he never actually thought about any plans for it. As he was panicking, a group of students was leaving the academy… and within the group, he spotted someone…
"No… I need more time to think…" he murmured to himself as he saw Ane, who was walking towards him
He tried his best to calm down and smile as he waved at her.
"H-Hello!" he said
"Hey." Ane replied with a smile
And with that, an awkward silence began. After a few seconds, Murata spoke up.
"Y-you look… n-nice…" he stuttered
"Thanks." Ane replied with a soft smile as she noticed his nervousness
"Hahahaha… WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING, WHY ARE YOU STUTTERING NOW!?" Murata thought to himself
As he was cursing at himself, Ane tried to salvage the situation with a conversation.
"Well… thanks for asking me out. Nobody has ever done that." she said with a smile
"Sure! No problem! Thanks for going out with me!" Murata replied with a smile
"That's it! Keep it up! No stuttering! Stuttering bad!" he thought to himself
"Well, where are we going?" she asked
"W-well… ehm… ehm…" he was trying to come up with an answer
As the seconds went by, he got an idea.
"Well... Is there someplace you want to go?" he asked
"Hmmm… Oh yeah, there is one! How about the Kimetsu Park? You can buy some great Ice Cream there." said Ane
"Kimetsu Park? Y-yeah! Let's do that!" Murata replied happily to which Ane nodded
The two went together to the park, walking side by side. After a few minutes of walking in silence, Murata felt like he had to say something.
"So… um… do you like… the weather? Hahaha…" he said with an awkward smile
Ane looked at him with a blank expression.
"Yes. It's nice." she replied, almost teasingly
"Hahaha… WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU SAYING? ASK NORMAL QUESTIONS!" Murata thought to himself as he realized how awkward he acted
"This guy... This is going to be fun…" Ane though to herself with a devilish smile
"Hey." she said
"Y-yes? What is it?" Murata replied
"When you asked me out, do remember what you said?" she asked
"Well… umm…" Murata replied as he was thinking about it
"You called me pretty." Ane said proudly and in a teasing manner
"Y-yeah…" Murata replied blushing
"So, what do you think makes me look pretty, hmm?" Ane asked with a teasing smile as she leaned closer to him
Murata wasn't expecting this, so he gulped and thought about it.
"Or do you call every girl pretty?" Ane added, still smiling with a little giggle
"GULP* N-no, I think you're really pretty. Your white hair looks beautiful, and you have a really c-cute face. You also have a nice body and your red dots on your hands and face look really cool." he said
Hearing that, Ane just stared at him, and her teasing smile slowly disappeared as she began to blush.
"…huh?" she mumbled
"A-and you're also very friendly. I´m really happy that you agreed to go out with me…" Murata said with a smile
Hearing all that, Ane looked away as she was trying to hide her blush, but Murata noticed it.
"Ah! Did I say something wrong?" he started to panic
"N-no! You didn't say anything… wrong. W-well… we're almost there! Let's go!" Ane said as she started walking faster
"Ah! Wait for me!" replied Murata as he tried to catch up
Arriving at Kimetsu Park, Murata was a bit surprised. He rarely went here, and every time he did, it was always empty, with only a few people. But today, it was the opposite. Students, parents and children were everywhere and the whole place was living.
"Wow… That's… a lot of people." he said as he looked at Ane
"Yeah…" she replied as her mood went down
"Huh? What is it?" Murata asked as he noticed
"Tsk… I go here almost every day and it's always pretty empty… But the one day we go here together… it's full." she replied
"Oh… well, if you don't like it, we can go somewhere else." Murata offered
Ane was scanning the area, making sure she didn't see any familiar faces.
"No, it's ok. Let's just hope we don't meet anyo… LET'S GO AWAY, LET'S GO AWAY, LET'S GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!" as she was scanning the area, all of a sudden she started panicking
"Huh?! What's wrong?" Murata asked as he saw her trying to get away as fast as possible
"NOTHING! COME ON!" she replied as she tried to make a getaway… but it was too late
"AHHHHHH! SO CUTE!" a girl´s voice said
Ane stopped and Murata looked at the direction the voice was coming from.
"SO… SO… SO… CUUUUUUTE!" squeaked Shinobu Kocho as she saw the two
"Ah… hello…" Murata said with a soft smile
Ane just stood still with her back facing Shinobu.
"My cute friend did it! She finally got a date!" Shinobu continued
"I´m not your friend!" Ane snapped at her as she turned around and faced her
"Oh… don't say such mean things! We´re besties!" Shinobu continued
Murata just watched the two.
"Grrr…" Ane grinded her teeth
Murata noticed that Ane wanted her to go away, so he decided to help her.
"Anyway! Good job on asking her out! I was afraid you would fail like some pathetic loser… but you did it!" said Shinobu as she looked at Murata
"Y-yeah… well…" Murata said with a soft voice
"Hm? Is something the matter?" Shinobu asked
"Well… we´re on a date so…" he replied as he tried to end the conversation
"Oh right! Silly me! I´ll be on my way! Have fun you two!" she said as she waved at them and left the two alone
Murata waved at her with a smile too, while Ane just watched her with a murderous expression.
"She is so annoying…" she said
"Well… she is just friendly with everyone… But I can see that you two don't go along well… hahaha." he laughed a bit
Ane took a deep breath and faced him.
"That nuisance is gone now, let's go get some ice cream." she said as her smile returned
"Sure thing!" Murata replied as he lead the way
After some ice cream, the two sat down on a bench. They chatted for a while and Murata managed to have a normal conversation, with only a few stutters. He enjoyed his first date. He learned a lot about Ane, about her relationship with Shinobu and about her little brother. Most of the time she was complaining about the two, but Murata enjoyed listening to her, and she enjoyed speaking her mind about the two. As the time went on, their date was nearing the end.
"Well... It's getting late. I think we should call it a day." Ane said
"Yeah. It was a lot of fun, thanks again for going out with me!" Murata replied
"I had a lot of fun too. It´s nice having someone who listens to me complaining. You're a good listener." said Ane
"Yeah… but a bad talker…hahaha…" he replied with an awkward laugh, to which Ane looked at him with a plain expression
After a few seconds, she started to giggle, same as Murata.
As the two stopped giggling, Ane looked at him with a soft smile and spoke up.
"Hey… thanks again for asking me out, but… could you do something for me?" she asked
"S-sure! What is it?" he replied
Ane looked around making sure nobody saw them.
"Close your eyes." she said
"Huh?" Murata replied
"Just do it." she said again
"Oh… ok?" said Murata as he closed his eyes, not knowing what is going to happen
After a few seconds, he could feel something warm on his cheek.
Kiss*
Ane has kissed him on his cheek.
"Ah…" Murata said as he opened his eyes again, and saw her giggling
He put his hand on his cheek and didn't say anything.
"This was your reward for getting rid of that nuisance before…" she said with a smile
Murata smiled too as he realized what just happened.
"Sister… Good thing I found you here. I need some money." said a voice
"Ugh… speaking of nuisances…" said Ane as she turned around and saw Rui, walking towards them
"Hm? What are you doing here? Is my sister still helping you?" Rui asked as he noticed Murata
"Well… you could say that." Murata replied to which Rui raised an eyebrow
"Anyway. Sister, I need some money. Give me some money. If you do that, I forgive you for being a failure as a sister." said Rui
Ane just watched him with an annoyed expression. After a few seconds of silence, she turned around and faced Murata again.
"I need to go now. I hope… we can do this again someday?" she said
"S-sure!" he replied with a smile, to which Ane smiled too
She turned around and faced Rui again.
"Alright you little bastard, let's go home." she said and started walking
"Wait. Money. I want to buy some food. Sister… Wait…" he said as he followed her
Murata was just watching the two go and was thinking about today´s day.
"I did it… I did it!" he murmured to himself with a smile…

"Look at him… getting a happy ending… and not me… DISGUSTING." said Zenitsu, who was hiding behind a tree, seeing the whole scene
