Prompt: "I don't know if you are looking for more prompts, but I love stories where Lena is sick and gets taken care of by Kara or Kara and Alex together. She deserves some love that she probably never got as a kid and probably had to go through every cough and fever by herself." from Samessin.
A big smile rose to Kara's face when she saw who was calling her on her phone's screen. She felt a little thrill of happiness every time Lena's face appeared there. "Hey, Lee, how are you feeling?"
"It's official," Lena replied, voice raspy and nose full of cotton balls. "It's COVID."
"Shit," Kara sighed. "I'm so sorry." She looked at her watch, never gladder for her Kryptonian immune system. "I have a couple of things I need to tie up and then I'm coming straight over." She grinned. "I'll even fly."
A hoarse cough echoed down the line. "Can you bring me chocolate?" the older woman replied. "I'd be forever grateful."
"Of course, I'll stop by Geneva for you. I remember which one was your favorite."
"God, I love you," Lena replied softly. "See you soon."
"I love you too, Babe," Kara replied a little softer. The hero grinned and dropped her phone into her pocket. "Ok, sorry, where were we?"
Cat was looking at her with a strange expression on her face. "You'll drop by Geneva?"
Kara frowned a little. "Yeah," she replied hesitantly.
"So, Miss Danvers, after all the years you had a crush on me, why did you never bring me Swiss chocolate?"
The younger blonde laughed. "I did. You just don't remember."
Cat chose not to respond to that. "I take it Lena has COVID?"
"Yeah," Kara replied. "She's been sick a couple of days, but the test results just came back."
Then you should go now," the older woman replied. "Work can wait for tomorrow and I have your number of anything needs the Editor-in-Chief's attention urgently."
The Kryptonian smiled gratefully. "Thanks, Cat. I think I will. See you tomorrow."
"Bye, Kara, and give Lena my best."

The patio door of Lena's balcony was open, and Kara landed gently, making sure not to drop her armfuls of stuff. "Should have brought a box," she muttered to herself as she set the stuff down on the island counter and hit the button in the belt of her suit to dismiss it and leave her in comfortable sweats. She arranged the bouquet of flowers she'd brought into a vase, then carried it and the chocolate with her as she went to find her sick girlfriend.
Lena was tucked up in bed and the blonde moved quietly to it. She set the vase on the nightstand and then eased onto the mattress to lie next to her, pushing her dark hair back from her forehead so she could feel for a fever.
"Yes, I am hot," Lena joked quietly as she reached up to take Kara's hand and bring it to her lips.
Blue eyes gazed back at her. "Not just hot... beautiful."
"Thanks for the flowers, Baby," the raven-haired woman said.
Kara leaned down and kissed her gently on the lips. "I brought you some chicken soup and that sushi you like from your favorite restaurant in Gotham... oh and of course, your Swiss chocolate."
"You're so kind for taking care of me," Lena murmured, still holding Kara's hand against her lips.
"I love you," the younger woman replied. "Of course I want to take care of you." She was slightly confused as to the reason Lena had said that.
"But... you're the first."
"What do you mean?" Kara asked, frowning.
"I've had a lot of people in my life tell me they love me... yet, when I was a child, I went through colds and flus with an impartial nanny and no mother. I went through sickness like this with boyfriends who had meetings to go to and dinner parties to attend while leaving me alone with debilitating fevers." Kara's frown deepened. "But here you are, Kara Danvers. You dropped everything and flew halfway around the world just to make me happy." Tears spilled down her cheeks. "THAT'S what love is."
The Kryptonian nodded. "You'd do the same for me," she whispered as she kissed Lena's forehead. "If I ever got sick."
"I would," the older woman replied. "Can you stay with me, or do you have to go?"
Kara resettled on the bed, wrapping her arms around her girlfriend, holding her close and gently stroking her hair as she kissed her forehead again. "I'm not going anywhere, Love. I promise."
