In time, she will acquire many names. Child martyr of the Ferelden Circle Disaster. The infantile apostate. Captain's shadow. Secret-keeper. Mage-saviour. Blessed Right Hand of Andraste's Herald. Seer of the Inquisition. But she would prefer just Fae, if you don't mind.
In the year 9:20 Dragon, Faellathi Tabris is born. She is the second daughter of Hallathan Tabris, an elf who calls the Denerim alienage home, and his wife, Syllara, formerly of the Dalish Sabrae clan. The following year, an outbreak of plague first claims the life of Adaia, sister to Syllara and mother to Neria Tabris, the future Hero of Fereldan.
Not long after, Neria is captured by templars and taken to the Fereldan Circle of Magi. Syllara falls victim to the same plague outbreak within the year, and Faellathi's heartbroken father succumbs to despair, drinking away the rest of his days, leaving Faellathi in the care of her surviving relatives; her uncle Cyrion, cousin Soris and her sister, Shianni.
A few years later, in 9:30 Dragon, nine-year-old Faellathi is also captured by templars. And that, is when this story really begins.
