Chapter 1 The Mystery Twins
A.N. – I'm back. I did not quit FanFiction, I just took a short break. So, we are starting off with another fan submission. It will be somewhat short and might about four or five chapters. Hope you like it!
Short Summary – Two twins arrive at Kadic to start up a new café that Mr. Delmas has approved of. The real reason behind this, is to keep a close eye on Lyoko and Xana. But when these two run across the Lyoko Warriors, complications arise.
Disclaimer – I do not own Code Lyoko or the story idea. I am just a fan of the show, and the idea was submitted by James Marshall.
A car pulls up at Kadic's parking lot. The engine shuts off and two people step out.
"Kadic Academy. I guess this is what it looked like" the male said.
"Remember why we're here" the female responded.
The two all headed to the principal's office to discuss the status of a café they were starting. These two purposed the idea to Mr. Delmas, and he agreed on one condition: they work in it to pay off the cost of building it. This was the day the café was set to open and the two have an appointment with the principal. They walk into his secretary's office.
"Hello, we are here to see Mr. Delmas" the female said.
"Ah yes, he is expecting you. Go on in" the secretary responded.
"Ah, Erin and Erina, so good to see you. Your names are very interesting" Mr. Delmas says.
"Well, we are twins, and our parents weren't thinking too much because our mom thought she was having only one child, but it tuned out to be two" Erina said in response.
"Well, yes, anyway, the café will be opened today after classes end. I'm sorry it took longer then expected. We had to work through the winter and with many getting sick and the constant snow showers, it got behind schedule."
"It's no problem. It was a little too quiet and we were getting bored" Erin responded.
"Anyway, we'll announce it after classes end, so you can go there and get ready," Mr. Delmas placed a key on the table so the twins can go set up. "I must say, you two do look awfully familiar to two of our past students."
"Really? Who?" Erina asked.
"Ah, Mr. Jeremy Belpois and Ms. Aelita Stones. They all graduated with almost perfect GPA's."
"Really? I think we may have met them at some point" Erin said.
"Well, if you happen to run across them again, tell them we still wish them luck on their future endeavors."
They closed the door and headed off to the café. "Do you think we'll run into them?" Erin asked.
"As long as he stays quiet and we stay hidden, we'll be fine" Erina responded.
The final bell rang and the twins along the principal and students all gathered outside the café. There is a red ribbon, and the principal holds a giant pair of scissors as the twins wait for the announcement to start. Tamiya takes a picture and Milly gets ready to write.
"Look who it is" Erin says to his sister.
"It's them, Milly and Tamiya. Well, I heard they studied together, before everything went down" Erina said.
"Yeah, but they mysteriously disappeared after the incident."
"They were telling too much truth. He wanted to keep the people suppressed and with their truths, it could have started a rebellion."
Mr. Delmas started to speak. "Students, faculty and staff today is the day that we open this new café. This was originally planned to be opened near the beginning of the winter, but due to these unforeseen circumstances the schedule was put behind and now it will be open for business in the beginning of the summer. Now, even the school year is almost over, this café will be opened throughout the summer for students only. Just be informed that you will not be allowed in the dorms or the academy during the time of summer break or any other break. Now to celebrate the opening, here are the ones who purposed the idea, Erin and his sister Erina."
Everyone clapped as the two stepped forward and Erin grabbed the scissors.
"We are pleased to report that this café is now open!" Erina said as her brother cut the ribbon.
Everyone clapped and the twins open the doors, and the café was open for business.
Within ten minutes of opening, the café was packed with students. The twins knew that if it stayed this way, they could pay this off in about three months, which was enough time to do whatever they were there for. Eventually, the café closed, and the twins were cleaning up, when Erina got an alert on her phone.
"Oh no, an activated tower!" She says with worry.
"Why does Xana have to become active now?!" Erin says with frustration.
"Doesn't matter. We can't let Xana get the upper hand. Let's go!"
The two get into the car and rush off to the factory entrance. The two stop on the bridge and run into the entrance and down to the elevator.
"Hope the others don't show up" Erin says.
"I have the upgraded version of the superscan. We have about five minutes to get to Lyoko and deactivate the tower before Jeremy gets an alert" Erina responds.
The elevator stops and opens up in the laboratory and Erina runs up the computer to set up the virtualization.
"Let's see where this tower is," Erina says as she starts working, but then the tower shows not active. "Apparently, there is no activated tower. False alarm."
"Shouldn't your upgraded version of the superscan tell you these kinds of things?" Erin asks.
"Well, no. It may be upgraded, but it still has the coding Jeremy used originally for it. And they still had problems with it."
"Maybe you should upgrade the coding."
"No, we'll leave it alone. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. And it ain't broken."
The elevator opens up and it has the other warriors too. "Get down to the scanners and I'll prepare your virtualization," Jeremy says, and he turns around to see tow people standing by the supercomputer. "Who are you two?!"
"Uh, friends?" Erina responds, hoping this wouldn't happen.
"What are you doing here?" Ulrich asks.
"Well, we got an alert about an activated tower, and it turned out to be a false alarm" Erin responds.
Jeremy walks up to the computer, and he types a few commands. "They're right. No activated tower."
"Hold on Jeremy, Xana pulled this one on us before," Yumi says. "Odd."
Odd walks up to the two and pinches them. They both say ow and they turn out to be actual humans. "No depixelization. This is not Xana's doing" Odd concludes.
"They why are you here?" Ulrich asks next.
"We are here to help you fight Xana" Erina responds.
"I don't think so" Ulrich crosses his arms in disbelief.
"Leave them alone Ulrich, they seem trustworthy" Aelita says from behind them all.
The two twins look, and they see Aelita leaning against the back of the elevator, already pregnant.
"Is that…" Erin starts.
"Yes…Aelita," Erina finishes. "Um, are you sure that you should be here. I mean I'm pretty sure you want what's best for you and your soon to be child."
"I'm fine. Besides, they need me. Without me, Xana will win" Aelita says.
"Listen, let's do a return in time so we don't raise suspicion," Jeremy concludes and enters the program. "Return to the past now!"
A white bubble engulfs everything, and time is reversed to early that morning.
The twins find themselves again at the school. They were used to the returns to the past so, going through it was no different. But another problem is, how were they going to convince the warriors that they are on their side.
"If Xana becomes active again, how are we gonna convince them?" Erin asks.
"Maybe these will help" Erina responds showing him the band.
"How will that help?"
"If I remember correctly, only Yumi and Aelita have one. So, if we have one, maybe that will convince them that we are on their side."
The day went like normal. The twins met up with Mr. Delmas and they sat through his speech and set up the café. They served the students and then were cleaning up. Another alert came though on Erina's phone.
"Oh no, another Xana alert!" Erina exclaims.
"Think it's another false alarm?" Erin asks.
"Do you want to take that chance?" The two rushed over to the factory and again find out it was another false alarm. "Another false one."
"Think Xana is malfunctioning?"
"No, something else is happening."
"What? Is he trying to get rid of us?"
"Or maybe he is just testing us. See when they will not react and then launch a real one."
The elevator opened and revealed the warriors again. "You two again?" Jeremy says.
"Hey, we know about Xana, and we can detect attacks, even false ones like this one is" Erina says.
"Another false alarm? What's the deal with Xana these days?" Yumi asks.
"We're asking the same thing" Erin responds.
"How do we know your not behind the attacks? You could be working for Xana behind our backs" Ulrich asks, still not convinced they are with them.
"If that was the case, think we would have killed or tried to kill you now?" Erina responds.
"Good point, but how can we trust you?"
"Does this help?" Both of the twins shoed their bands.
"Are those the Lyoko bands I designed?" Jeremy asks.
"Yep, and we have them" Erin says.
"How? I'm still making Ulrich's and only Yumi and Aelita have one."
The twins now decided it was time to come clean.
"Okay, we didn't want to say this but me and my brother we are from the future, a future that is very grim" Erina starts.
"But that is not the only secret. We are here right now in this timeline also" Erin says.
"Where?" Aelita asks.
The twins walk up to her. "Right in here" Erina says pointing to Aelita's belly.
"Really?"
"Yes, Aelita. We are your and Jeremy's twin children" Erina responds leaving everyone in shock.
