Booth hands the baby to Brennan, "Here get used to him."
A confused Brennan takes the baby from his partner, "Why?" she asked.
"That key was evidence. You know how the chain of custody works. That kid stays with us until we get the key back." said the FBI agent.
The baby chose that moment to pee on the pants of the anthropologist and as Booth hurries to grab a diaper to change the baby to prevent further accidents, Brennan can't help thinking that maybe they will have the baby for quite some time.
She just didn't know that quite some time will imply more than a few days.
