Hi! Someone pointed out that Andy was 6-7 months old, not 3 as I wrote in the last chapter. Sorry! I didn't know . Well, let's just say that he was 3 months old, okay? I've already pictured him with that age for this story .

Oh, and just so you know the only thing I know about babies I learned from mi cousin who is now almost two years old and the little research I do for this story, if get something wrong please point it out for me!

Chapter 4

It's amazing how someone's life could change when you meet someone.

Before Booth, Brennan was alone, and she was fine with that.

Before Booth, Brennan didn't let herself feel.

Before Booth, Brennan thought love in any form, didn't exist.

Before Booth, Brennan worked, wrote and traveled… for work.

And then she met Booth. She didn't stay past 8 at night every night, she ate takeout with Booth discussing cases or just talking about everything and nothing, she spent a few hours every other weekend with Parker when he stayed with Booth… Brennan now had someone who worried about her and checked on her constantly, which at first, annoyed her but with time she realized having someone to share time and… feelings, was good.

And now, she has Andy. It's been two months since that first night with him. At first it was difficult, she didn't know one thing about babies, but as first-time parents, she's been learning along the way. She never saw herself as a mother but as the days pass, her love for that baby grows more and more. And Booth is a close witness of that.

It's Monday afternoon and Booth is looking for Brennan to take her out for lunch. They did this almost every day, he would come by the lab, they would pick up Andy from the Jeffersonian's day care and then go to the diner.

He goes to her office, but the lights are out. Cam must know where she is, "Hey Cam! Have you seen Bones?"

"Hi Booth, she called this morning and asked for the day off."

"What? No, she never does that," I'm calling her, there must be something wrong. He thinks with a furrowed brow. "Uhm, thanks Cam, I'm just gonna call her." She nods and then he leaves her office and dials Brennan's number.

Brennan picks up at the fifth ring and before she spoke, he could hear Andy loudly crying trough the phone. "Hi Booth." She greeted.

"Bones is something wrong? Why aren't you in the lab? Is Andy okay? Are you okay?" He says in one breath.

"I'm at home Booth. Andy woke up this morning with a slight fever and I decided to take the day off." She then spoke with a gentle voice, "I know sweetheart, shhhh." She then addressed Booth with a concerned voice, "Booth his fever has gone up a little since this morning. I'm taking him to the doctor, talk to you later."

"Hey Bones wait a minute!"

"What Booth?" she said impatiently.

He didn't get irritated by her tone, he knew she was distressed. "How about I take you to the hospital? I could be the in ten minutes."

"Okay, thanks Booth." And she hung up.

As Booth drove to her place, he thought about Brennan agreeing to him helping her. He knew she was very independent, something she learned the bad way when she became a ward of the state at fifteen. He surmised she was really worried about Andy by accepting his help so willingly.

Brennan was zipping the bag she carried for Andy for whenever they went out when she heard a knock. Booth's here. With Andy in one arm, she opened the door with the other. "Hey Booth, I'm ready let's go."

Booth watched as she grabbed her bag, covered the baby with a blanket and shut her apartment door hurriedly. Yeah, she's worried. "Here. I'll take the bag Bones."

She gave him a grateful smile then walked towards the elevator. She pressed the down button and waited for the elevator to come to her floor, the doors opened, and they stepped inside. Brennan looked down at Andy, who had his head in the crook of her neck and his little hands clutching her shirt. "We're taking you to the doctor, okay? He'll give us medicine and you'll feel better." She said softly, while rubbing his back soothingly.

Booth watch in awe at the woman beside him. She's amazing. God, I love her. They've been spending more and more time together since she began fostering Andy and he fell in love with her more each time he saw her. I'm telling her. Soon.

The doors opened and they headed outside. "Booth we have to take my car, I have his car seat there." He nodded and they went to the parking lot.

After waiting 30 minutes in the pediatrician's office a nurse led them to an exam room. "Good afternoon, I'm Dr. Michaels." They greeted him and he continued, "Let's see the little guy. What's the reason for the visit?" He asked while doing a preliminary examination.

"He has a slight fever, he won't eat anything, and vomited a little on the way here." Brennan responded while Booth grimaced in sympathy. He was driving and looked through the rearview mirror as Andy threw up forty minutes ago.

A few minutes and questions later he gave them a diagnose. "He has the stomach flu, it'll last a couple of days." Booth and Brennan both breathed a sigh of relief, it wasn't anything serious. "Does he go to daycare? He probably got it there."

"Yes." Brennan and Booth both nodded.

Dr. Michaels hands Andy back to Brennan. "It's not ideal to give 5-month-old babies ibuprofen or acetaminophen so you'll just have to keep him hydrated until it passes."

"Okay, thanks doctor." Brennan said.

Andddd that's it. Leave a review! I'm a new writer here, I would love some lol.
