As the sun set after his first time in the Digital World, Davis lay on his bed, the goggle headed boy deep in thought as he looked over his new Digivice and all that had occurred.
At first, Davis thought he would be overwhelmed by the idea of another world beyond his own, with creatures unlike anything he had seen before, and that he was chosen to fight alongside a selected Digimon partner in order to put an end to the evils of this so-called Digimon Emperor.
Although surprised to begin with, the more Davis thought about being a Digidestined, the more the maroon haired boy found himself actually excited, especially after he saw the bonds between Tai, TK, Kari and their Digimon.
Meeting Agumon, Patamon, Gatomon and seeing the strength they displayed when united and fighting alongside their partners, and from what he felt upon Veemon's Digivolution to Yasyamon, Davis felt that though it had been only a few hours, the bond between him and Veemon was quite powerful.
And he hoped to only improve this bond when the Digidestined reunited.

Sharing a similar mindset to Davis', but finding herself also preoccupied with work, Yolei's attention was divided between the potential of meeting her Digimon partner and to sweeping the floors around her parents' convenient store.
'The way Davis and Veemon seemed to gain such strength through their bond, it was amazing.' Yolei thought to herself, the purple haired girl taking a break from sweeping and to think further upon the subject of Digimon, and of her own partner.
'When I find my Digimon, I just know it'll show Kari that Davis and I are meant to be together.'
Getting ahead of herself, however, and her daydreaming, imagining the jealous form of Kari watching as Davis knelt before Yolei, praising her as if she was a Goddess, Yolei was broken from her thoughts when she heard her mother's voice call from the back, telling her with authority. "Yolei, when you're done cleaning the floors, we need you to check on inventory."
A little annoyed at the stack of responsibilities beyond her chores, Yolei then gave a small sigh, the purple haired girl sweeping the last of the isles and thinking. 'It's moments like this that make me wish I wasn't an only child...'

Trying to hide his excitement as he opened the door to his apartment, Cody placed his Digivice back into his pocket.
Remaining in a state of awe about the day's events, the youngest of the Digidestined team was looking forward to the further adventures he would certainly have with his new friends, but he was more so excited to meet his own Digimon partner.
"Cody, why are you home so late?" A familiar voice to the brunette then questioned with a stern tone the second he opened the door.
Gulping lightly to see his father, Hiroki Hida, waiting for him, his expression of seriousness, Cody felt an understandable nervousness before his father and tried to explain himself.
"Sorry dad, I was hanging out with my new friends and I guess we lost track of time." Cody said in reply, expressing a half truth in his words.
Although he loved his parents, Cody wasn't sure how his father would react to the truth, to being told he spent the day beyond their dimension and watching digital creatures fighting one another.
His frown turning to a smile, Hiroki felt a growing relief to know that, to know not only was his son alright, but Cody was also making friends, this causing the police officer to feel pride in his son as he then said. "Alright, but please try to be home before sunset if you can."
"I'll try, dad." Cody replied with an honesty in his voice.
But uncertain to the upcoming adventures he would have against the Digimon Emperor and those under his dark thrall, Cody remained unclear if he could keep this promise.
Watching Cody enter the apartment and then enter his room, Hiroki's father, and Cody's grandfather both sighed, the parents discussing Cody.
Taking a seat and looking upon his son, a stern expression remained upon his face as he told Hiroki. "That boy could use some discipline."
Sighing to his father, and to his old beliefs of discipline, Hiroki expressed his own view.
"Dad, just let Cody be a kid. We should be happy he's made new friends. As his grandfather, I thought you'd be happy for him." He said in reply as he sat down next to his father.
Accepting Hiroki's reply, but sticking to his own views, Cody's grandfather then said. "I am happy for him, but without boundaries. He may find himself in trouble before he knows it."
"Then we will be there for him if that day comes." Hiroki said in reply.
Between the adults, the pair remained a little stubborn in their views, but found the tension soon died down when Cody's mother called them all in for dinner.
However, even as the family gathered and ate their meal, there remained an unsaid tension between Hiroki and his father.

After the sunset, and making a few phone calls, Tai, Izzy, TK and Kari met up alongside the older of the Digidestined which still resided within Odaiba.
Joined by Matt Ishida, Sora Takenouchi and Joe Kido, the Digidestined discussed the new threat to the Digital World.
While Mimi Tachikawa was now residing within the United States, she remained in continued contact with the Digidestined of Knowledge, Izzy Izumi, which allowed her to talk to her friends from Izzy's laptop and to be part of the conversation.
"So let me get this straight, this wacko calling himself the Digimon Emperor is enslaving Digimon, and we can't fight him because he has somehow prevented our Digimon from Digivolving?" Matt questioned with a clear annoyance and frustration in his tone.
"Unfortunately." Tai just said in reply as he too shared the disgust the Digidestined all expressed.
"Are our Digimon alright?" Sora then asked, her tone expressing a growing concern toward Biyomon.
The idea of her partner turned into a mindless slave leaving the Digidestined of Love sick to her stomach.
"We saw Agumon, Gatomon and Patamon, but not the others." TK told Sora with an honesty in his voice, before Kari then added, to ensure the Digidestined of Love. "But Agumon said he could contact the others."
"And don't worry about Biyomon. She's just like you, Sora, tough and depent. I know she'll be fine by herself." Tai said as he set a comforting hand upon Sora's shoulder as to show his own support.
The action, however, caused the orange haired girl to blush lightly as she tried to push back her more... intimate thoughts about the Digidestined of Courage, having fallen in love with Tai back when he saved her from the conflicting battle between Etemon and Datamon, her feelings changing from that of a close friend to someone she wanted to spend the rest of her life with.
"Meanwhile, we have three new Digidestined, with one seeming to use another method of Digivolution?" Joe then questioned, putting his concern for Gomamon aside as he wondered about the newer Digidestined and the battle he heard Tai recently mention.
"I believe Davis called it Armour Evolution." Izzy replied, before the red haired genius continued in his thoughts. "Whatever causes this form of Digivolving, it seems to bypass what power the Digimon Emperor is using to block our own Digivices from working."
To the knowledge Izzy shared, and from the connection through his laptop, Mimi expressed her own curiosity, questioning with a more scientific intrigue. "Do you think we can somehow copy or apply this power to our own digivices, Izzy?"
Looking at the monitor and taking in Mimi's appearance, Izzy did his best not to blush.
Although he and Mimi managed to stay close to one another, despite Mimi's move, this was the first time they were able to establish a connection strong enough to display Mimi's image and to see how beautiful she had become.
Looking upon the pop bubble containing Mimi's image and seeing the former brunette having dyed her hair to a bright strawberry pink, which was tied in a ponytail, Izzy felt a small flutter in his heart, especially as he looked upon Mimi's lively brown eyes which remained hidden behind a pair of glasses.
Quickly shaking his head and refocusing his mind, Izzy expressed a solemn expression as he told Mimi and the others. "From what Wizardmon mentioned, I don't think that can be achieved."
"In that case, it might be best if we go with Davis and the other two and help out in any way we can tomorrow, especially since Yolei and Cody will be looking for their Digimon partners as well." Tai suggested, his words, both as the leader of the Digidestined and as a friend receiving compliant nods from most of the group, especially Sora, who took this as an opportunity, one to spend more time with her crush.
"Sadly, as much as I want to be there, I can't." Joe suddenly informed, this causing all eyes to fall upon the Digidestined of Reliability.
"I have a medical entry exam tomorrow, and my family would be upset if I suddenly skipped it." He then explained, though inside, he was mentally growling that he couldn't be there to check upon Gomamon.
"And I can't either, given my location." Mimi pointed out as she too felt upset that she could not check in on Palmon and to see if her partner was alright.
"I'll send you an update as soon as I can, Mimi." Izzy told Mimi with a caring smile, this causing the now pink haired girl to smile back and to then end her video call.
Closing and shutting down his laptop, which he slid into his backpack, the way Izzy seemed to act around Mimi caught the attention of the Digidestined, namely Kari, who then teased. "Oh, going to have a late night video call with your girlfriend?"
To the question and to Kari's hinting tone, this caused Izzy's face to flush bright red, which not only left Kari with a growing smirk upon her expression, but this also left Sora and Matt to join in on the joke, both hoping to tease the pair in the future.
But for now, the group decided to call it a night and went their separate ways.
The Digidestined remaining confident in themselves and their teamwork, the boys were not only looking forward to seeing their partners again, but in their positions, Sora and Kari were looking forward to being around with their particular love interests.
.
.
.
As the sun began to rise the next morning, TK, Yolei and Kari were now joined by Cody and Matt, the Digidestined of Friendship tagging along with the group, as they were going to meet up with Tai, Sora and Izzy at the school's computer lab, to further discuss their next moves against the Digimon Emperor.
But before any of that could happen, the group were on their way to pick up Davis from his home, who gave TK the address before parting the day before.
"Ok... It should be... here." TK said as he looked at the addresses, stopping at what was supposed to be Davis' home, before the Digidestined of Hope, along with most of the group, save Kari, were shocked by the sight before them.
Looking upon the Motomiya Residence, the Digidestined saw that Davis' family lived in a large, old Feudal style estate, which seemed to have several buildings within its walls, while a large wooden door stood before the group.
Astonished to the sight of the estate, which was shared amongst the Digidestined, Cody spoke what most were thinking.
"Wow... Davis lives here?" He questioned with a continued awe in his tone.
"Yep. Davis' family is descended from a samurai clan, and that discipline helps him focus on his studies and his soccer practice." Kari then informed in reply, having heard Davis mention this information to Tai a couple of times beforehand.
As pleased as the brunette was in her information, Kari's self pleasure only furthered when she turned her attention toward Yolei, to see the purple haired girl fuming to know she lacked some knowledge over their competing crush.
Before anyone could comment on Kari's information, the wooden door opened and the group saw the maroon haired Digidestined emerge from within, his expression turning to a warm smile to the familiar faces of the friends he had made, added to seeing TK's older brother.
"Hey, Davis." TK said with a smile, adding as he gestured to his brother and added. "This is Matt, my brother and the Digidestined of Friendship. I hope you don't mind, but he wanted to tag along and meet my new teammates."
"Nice to meet you." Matt said, sharing the kindness of his brother, which was accepted by Davis, who extended his hand out as a gesture of friendship.
Glad to see the kindness TK had mentioned within Davis' personality, Matt returned the gesture and too shook Davis' hand.
However, knowing the excitement that came with being a Digidestined, Matt had to ask, questioning the maroon haired boy as he had Yolei and Cody. "You did keep all of this a secret from your family right?"
Nodding in reply but also remaining honest, Davis told Matt. "I didn't tell my parents, but I hate keeping secrets from my sister."
Divided between his emotions, and although understanding the bond between siblings, but also knowing the knowledge that a reality outside of their own could prove unpredictable, Matt was about to have a stern word with Davis, but found he never had a chance to berate the younger Digidestined.
"Davis, are these your friends?" A feminine voice asked, expressing curiosity and kindness from behind Davis, who moved aside and revealed to the others a maroon haired girl they guessed was Davis' sister.
Taking in the appearance of Davis' sister, who looked to be a few years younger than Matt, with spiked hair similar to Davis, the older sibling of the Motomiyas wore a purple buttoned shirt that, while covering her body, was tight enough to show off her D- cup breasts.
Resting around her shoulders was a light grey jacket, which trailed down and drew attention to the red skirt she was wearing, highlighting her slender legs.
However, looking over the sincere face of Davis' sibling, and looking past the glasses she wore, TK and the Digidestined present could see the same bright warmth Davis held within a pair of shining brown eyes.
While TK and the others remained in high spirits to see Davis' sister, from his position, however, Matt felt his cheeks flush as he beheld what he perceived as the most beautiful girl in the world, everything else seeming to slow down as he took in her beauty.
Smirking to see his brother looking like a gasping fish, TK refocused as he replied for him and his group, having learned the name of Davis' sister from his new friend the day before. "Yeah, I'm TK, and it's nice to meet you, Juniper."
"Likewise, but please, call me Jun." The maroon haired Motomiya said in reply, sharing some discipline in her mannerisms which Davis seemed to express himself.
Already feeling a comforting bond around Jun, and certain of her trust, the group then watched as she reached into her backpack and pulled a laptop out, a sight that instantly reminded Matt, TK and Kari, of a certain duo.
"I was hoping to tag along with you all and collect Data while you are in this Digital World." Jun then said with a growing intrigue in her tone. "The information I got looking over Davis' Digivice was something else."
'And she's just like Mimi...' TK, Kari, and even Matt all thought with a sweatdrop, those more experienced with the Digital World and Digimon remembering how inquisitive the Digidestined of Sincerity was when they first arrived to the Digital World, working with Izzy as they collected data and information wherever they went.
"Best we head out. Tai and the others are waiting, and we don't know what the Digimon Emperor is up to today." Davis then remarked, snapping most out of their thoughts, while Kari and Yolei both sighed dreamily at the way Davis immediately took charge.
With the addition of Jun, the Digidestined then vacated the Motomiya estate and proceeded through Odaiba.
Proceeding toward the school, Davis remained wondering how Veemon was going along, a feeling which had been digging into the maroon haired boy since their departure.
And as Matt, TK and Kari shared the feeling, the trio also worried about the mental wellbeing of their partners, and Yolei and Cody were looking forward to returning to the Digital World and hopefully meeting their own Digimon partners.
.
.
.
After arriving at Odaiba High and entering the computer lab, the Digidestined were met by a familiar sight, the sight causing Matt, TK and Kari to sigh a little.
Within the computer lab, Izzy was working on his laptop, who was accompanied by Tai.
Looking over Izzy's shoulder and expressing his intrigue, Tai remained as the leader and the kind hearted friend the original Digidestined knew him for.
And although nothing seemed out of the ordinary, the more familiar sight of Sora so close to the Digidestined of Courage was another thing.
"So, Tai..." Sora began to say as she slid herself closer toward the older Kamiya, her arms wrapping around Tai's shoulders. "Perhaps when we are done here, we could grab a bite?"
While Davis, Yolei and Cody blinked in confusion at the sight, Matt, TK and Kari just sweatdropped even more, each wondering what it would take for the older brunette to open his eyes and see what Sora was into him.
His attention focusing upon Sora, Tai looked upon the orange haired Digidestined with a smile and said in reply. "That'd be great."
"Really?" Sora asked with stars in her eyes, her heart racing to what she believed would be a romantic dinner between her and her crush.
"It's the perfect chance to get to know more about our new teammates, hopefully in a more relaxed situation." Tai informed, believing that Sora was referring to the entire group going out after, which would also make a good cover for them being out late.
And from hearing this, while Sora froze up as she was unable to properly process Tai's misunderstanding, Izzy and Matt silently sighed in annoyance and TK and Kari did their best not to smack their heads from their own frustration.
Remaining silent and in place, but wishing to smack her brother for his obliviousness, much like the majority of the Digidestined, Kari knew Sora was in love with Tai, but also respecting Sora's decision, the Digidestined of Light had been sworn not to say anything or to interfere.
Before anymore could be said on the matter, an older voice then asked from the hallway. "What is going on here?"
Turning to the entryway, the Digidestined's eyes widened to see one of the teachers looking amongst those present with curiosity, one Tai recognized as his old history teacher.
"I'll distract him, you guys go ahead." Tai whispered to Matt, Izzy and Sora as then went over and began talking to the teacher, managing to guide him out of the room and away from the lab, this causing Sora to sigh at losing another chance to be with her beloved.
"Let's go while Tai keeps him busy." Davis then suggested as he moved to the computer and held his Digivice up and toward the screen.
Following in Davis' action, Matt, Izzy, Sora, Kari, TK, Yolei and Cody all joined the maroon haired Digidestined, leaving Jun to stand back and to patiently watch the interaction, to see that with their Digivices drawn, the screen lit up and the group was then sucked into the monitor.
Once the light faded and to see Davis and the others had vanished from sight, Jun moved herself toward the computer.
Taking a seat and opening her laptop, the older of the Motomiyas plugged her laptop in with the computer's network, which brought up countless lines of uncoded data upon the screen, displaying unknown codes and symbols she had never seen before.
But only finding this mysterious coding far more intriguing, Jun immediately set herself to work, her nimble fingers typing along her keyboard and working her way through the mysterious data brought before her, learning what she could while her brother and his friends were transported to another world.
.
.
.
Seeing they had returned back within the Digital World, but seeing their surroundings were somewhat different to what they first entered the Digital World, Matt, Sora and Izzy looked around in awe, each filled with an understandable joy to finally be back after so many years.
Looking back at Davis and the others, the three older Digidestined were then surprised to see the new outfits that had appeared upon the Digidestined of Sincerity and the younger Digidestined, which furthered when Matt, Sora and Izzy heard three voices from their pasts which immediately lifted their spirits.
"Matt!"
"Sora!"
"Izzy!"
Reacting to the overjoyed calls and turning to the direction of the voices, all the Digidestined saw the chosen Digimon, Gabumon, Biyomon, Tentomon, Gatomon and Patamon all rushing toward them, accompanied by a newer Digimon, one they guessed was Davis' partner, Veemon.
Reacting in their own ways to reuniting with the Digimon they had befriended and to once again seeing their respective Digimon partners, Matt was almost thrown to the ground as Gabumon threw his arms around the Digidestined of Friendship, embracing his partner and showing just how much he had missed Matt's company.
Reacting in a similar display of affection and rushing toward Sora, the Digimon of Love held a warm smile upon her beak as Sora slid herself down to her knees and welcomed Biyomon into her loving embrace, holding back tears as she held her partner once again.
Although Izzy wasn't exactly the best with social skills, but improving over the years, and too having missed Tentomon, Izzy took the insect Digimon into his arms, hugging the Digimon of Knowledge, who returned the affection, practically buzzing with joy to the reunion.
From the side, as Gatomon and Patamon rejoined Kari and TK, the younger Digidestined watched the scene with affection, happy to see the smiles on Matt, Sora and Izzy's faces to be back with their partners, before Davis looked and smiled to see Veemon approach him, the V marked Digimon bowing respectively to his partner, a gesture Davis happily returned.
And unbeknownst to the Digidestined and Digimon of Sincerity, Kari, Yolei and Gatomon sighed at the sight, loving the maturity and discipline their love interests showed.
Glad all seemed so jubilant to their reunion and allowing Patamon to rest more comfortably upon his head, looking around, TK had to ask. "Where's Agumon and Wizardmon?"
"They went to check and make sure Palmon and Gomamon were alright." The Digimon of Hope informed in reply.
"But before he left, Wizardmon did speak of a temple nearby, one that held Digi-Eggs like the Digi-Egg of Sincerity." Veemon then added with his own reassurance, the V marked Digimon looking to Yolei and Cody as he added with further kindness. "Perhaps your Digimon partners are there as well."
Hearing this, Yolei and Cody each beamed with excitement, the pair quite eager and looking forward to the possibility of meeting their own Digimon partners.
But before anymore could be discussed on the subject, Yolei and Cody's Digivices began to emit a faint beeping sound, causing the duo to remove their Digivices from out their clothing and to look at the screens, to see a pair of blinking lights displayed upon the map of the fragmented area of the Digital World.
As the others looked upon the newer Digidestined, Izzy took a moment to realise something he didn't see before, that Davis, Yolei and Cody's Digivices were different in appearance compared to his and to the design of the original Digidestined's, which piqued his interest.
"That looks like the direction of the temple." Veemon remarked as he looked at Yolei's Digivice, who was too lost in her own imagination, thinking of her powerful Digimon partner who would help her win Davis' heart.
"Then we should head in that direction." Davis then said, who added with a serious tone. "But we should also keep our guard up. There's no telling when the Digimon Emperor will strike."
Nodding in response to Davis' suggestion, with Matt, Sora and Izzy impressed by Davis' clear leadership skills, the group began to walk through the forest to the area marked on Yolei and Cody's Digivices, unaware of the floating Dark Ring monitoring and keeping tabs on them.
.
.
.
Sitting before the series of monitors and accompanied by Wormmon, who was resting at his side, the Digimon Emperor watched the other humans and their partners as they moved through the forests, focusing mainly upon the one who managed to Digivolve, despite his own Digivice preventing it.
"Looks like our little friends are back, Wormmon." The Digimon Emperor remarked with a dark smile, his focus remaining upon the generated imagery of Davis and Veemon.
Observing his opponents and seeing there were more humans amongst the group of Digimon, the Digimon Emperor's attention was then turned to that of Yolei, where the wicked being found himself intrigued by the rather beautiful girl.
"What are your orders, my Emperor?" Wormmon then asked, the question snapping the Digimon Emperor out of his thoughts and refocusing as his attention back upon his enemies.
"I think it's time we show those two the right side to fight on." The Digimon Emperor replied with a returning dark smile, most interested in the idea of having the maroon haired boy and his own Digimon partner assisting him in their plans of conquest.
.
.
.
Walking through the woods for an unknown amount of time, but using it to better understand the situation of the Digital World, Davis and the others continued to follow the signal on Yolei and Cody's Digivices, while Veemon kept a sharp eye out in the event a slave of the Digimon Emperor showed itself.
And from the shadows, Veemon saw movement, this causing the Digimon of Sincerity to bring his right arm up and to halt the group.
"We're not alone." He said in a whisper, expressing a tone of concern, which was then shown to the Digidestined and the Digimon present as a series of blades shot from out the woods.
As Davis and the other Digidestined ducked down, shielding their bodies as they continued to run, Veemon and the Digimon tried to fight back in order to anticipate the attacks of their unseen enemy and to protect their friends.
"Boom Bubble!" Patamon announced, spitting out a giant bubble of air upon one of the blades aimed for TK, which managed to repel the weaponry before it could harm the Digidestined of Hope.
"Lightning Paw!" Gatomon yelled.
Showing her greater strength and her keener senses, the feline Digimon leapt around Kari, her claws smacking away the series of blades directed toward her partner and their friends.
Keeping up their strength and working as a team in order to keep the Digidestined protected, Veemon and the others rushed the newer and more experienced Digidestined out of the woods and into a clearing in the hopes the lack of plant life would allow them to properly assess their unknown assailants and to retaliate.
Turning around, the Digidestined and their partners then watched as a lone figure leapt out of the trees and landed before them, allowing them to get a good look at their foe, and the Dark Ring around his left arm.
Taking in the appearance of their puppeted attacker, the Digidestined felt some nervousness to the more menacing form standing before them, which resembled an armoured humanoid Digimon wielding a blade in its right hand.
Though masked, the Digimon's face only furthered the combination of dread and concerns toward the combatant Digimon and to what exactly they were up against.
Raising his blade and sliding to a fighting stance, Veemon and the other Digimon stood proudly before their partners to take on this opponent.
"I know that Digimon, it's Sealsdramon!" Tentomon said in warning, this receiving the attention of the Digidestined and their partners, before the Digimon of Knowledge further explained. "As a trained mercenary, Sealsdramon carries out all his assignments with perfect results. A tactical mastermind and skilled from close and long ranged combat, he's practically a living weapon!"
"Well, he's not a mercenary right now, he's a puppet." Davis said in reply.
Looking down at Veemon and taking his Digivice out, the maroon haired Digidestined looked upon his partner with confidence. "Are you ready, Veemon?"
About to answer and ready to fight, Veemon was then cut off as another figure leapt from the forest, the massive shadow causing the Digidestined and their partners to quickly scatter as a large blade came crashing down on the ground and formed a great shockwave of dust.
When the dust cleared, the group saw another new foe, a Digimon wielding a katana blade, one with a Dark Ring placed around his left ankle.
The Digimon held a shogun-like design within its appearance, which included a golden oni mask set upon his helmet and his body covered in armoured platings that ran upon his shoulders and muscular arms.
Looking upon this new Digimon, seeing that it was indeed a samurai warrior, Davis felt empathetic to this new foe, saddened to see a warrior turned into a slave so easily.
"That's Musyamon, a samurai Digimon!" Biyomon said through a concerning voice. "Being a proud warrior, Musyamon always carries around his Shogun Sword, a blade said to have brought its owner over one thousand victories in battles."
Watching Musyamon get into a fighting stance with the controlled form of Sealsdramon, the Digidestined felt even more dread, knowing that at this point, though Veemon could Armour Digivolve to Yasyamon, it still remained two against one.
Then, as though answering their thoughts on if things could get any worse, a loud roar from above caught the attention of the Digidestined.
Turning their gazes back to the sky, the Digidestined and their partners saw a massive draconic based Digimon swoop down upon them.
Bearing its fangs and releasing a fearsome roar, it was evident that this Digimon also sought to fight.
Taking a brief moment, the Digidestined and their partners took in the appearance of their new foe, to see an enormous sized dragon soaring through the skies.
Its body clad in blue coloured scales and supporting a series of razor sharp fangs, a large red horn upon its snout and a set of red spikes down its back, this Digimon already looked like a great and intimidating threat, but the added Dark Ring placed around its tail and its gleaming red eyes only furthered its dreaded appearance.
"That's Coredramon, run for it!" Patamon immediately cried in worry as the large dragon Digimon came shooting down, forcing the Digidestined and their Digimon to scatter to avoid the enslaved Digimon's attack.
Continuing to show its ferocity even through the Dark Ring, Coredramon swept around and smashed his tail through the ground, the impacting force of the draconic Digimon's attack causing the ground around the Digidestined to crumble and break apart in a great uproar.
Not giving its perceived foes a chance to react to the attack and following the command of the Digimon Emperor, Coredramon then shot toward Davis and Veemon, restraining the Digidestined and Digimon of Sincerity in its clawed hands, a sight that caused Kari and Gatomon to panic greatly.
"Davis/Veemon!" The Digidestined and Digimon of Light each cried in further concern.
Reacting to their hearts and not thinking as they rushed toward Coredramon, Kari and Gatomon grabbed tightly onto the Coredramon's legs in order to try and free their love interests.
But either ignoring or just oblivious to the Digidestined and Digimon of Light, the enslaved dragon Digimon just returned to the sky, a sight that horrified the other Digidestined and Digimon.
"Kari/Gatomon/Davis/Veemon!" Matt and the others called out for their captive friends, watching as Musyamon and Sealsdramon then retreated back into the forest's depths, but not before Sealsdramon threw a smokescreen grenade, the attack briefly blinding the Digidestined and their partners.
When the smoke finally cleared and scanning the area, the Digidestined and their Digimon partners had no idea where Coredramon flew off to, nor where their captured friends had been taken.
"This... this is scary..." Cody said with fear in his voice, the reality of their situation now sinking into his head, which was shared amongst Yolei, who too felt some jealousy that Davis and Kari had been captured together.
Ignoring the familiar jealousy within Yolei's eyes, Sora moved over and placed a comforting hand on Cody's shoulder, bending down to check on the youngest of the Digidestined as she told him. "It's alright Cody, we will save them, but first, we need to find your partner."
"Sora's right, we can't help Davis, Veemon, Kari or Gatomon until we find your Digimon." Matt added, knowing that if he didn't save Kari then Tai would kick his ass.
"Let's head to the temple, and quickly." Izzy then suggested, causing the group to refocus and follow the signal from Yolei and Cody's Digivices, each worried and hoping they could save Davis, Kari and their partners before it was too late.
.
.
.
Groaning as consciousness eventually returned to him, Davis quickly shook his head as his mind caught up with him and he remembered what had happened.
Davis remembered the Coredramon attacking and absconding with him and Veemon, and although concerned for his well being and the well being of his Digimon partner, the concerns Davis focused on revolved around Kari and of Gatomon.
Remembering that the Digidestined and the Digimon of Light had tried to save them, Davis' eyes shot open, his concerns growing to the unknown circumstances of his friends and teammates.
However, Davis was taken aback and found himself pressed against the side of a cliff, with metal restraints gripping around his arms and legs, the restraints preventing him from moving.
Looking ahead, the maroon haired Digidestined felt a combination of relief and concerts when he saw the unconscious forms of Kari and Gatomon locked in the same position as himself, restrained to the wall across from him.
"Davis." The maroon haired Digidestined then heard, looking to his side as he saw Veemon restrained next to him, the Digimon of Sincerity struggling as hard as he could to free himself from out of his bindings, with no such luck.
Growing worried for his friends and for what the Digimon Emperor had in store for them, hearing faint moaning from across the way and looking to see Kari and Gatomon waking up, Davis called to the girls.
"Kari! Gatomon! Are you alright?" He questioned with a continued and clear worry for his friends, which then changed to some confusion. "Why'd you do that?"
Blushing as the Digidestined and Digimon of Light remembered that they were trying to save their dream men, their replies were then cut off as the sounds of chuckling caught their attention, the arrogant laughter causing the two Digidestined and their partners to look upward and to see a lone figure standing on top of the cliff.
"Look who finally woke up, the one individual and his pet causing me trouble." The figure said with a further wickedness in his tone, this causing Davis' eyes to widen as realization hit him.
"You're the Digimon Emperor?" The maroon haired Digidestined questioned in shock, before adding with a growing confusion. "But, you're just a kid, like me!"
Sneering down Davis' way, the Digimon Emperor spat back. "I am nothing like you, I..."
"You have two arms, a head and look human, so yes, you are like me." Davis said in reply, annoyed by the superiority complex the Emperor seemed to have, while mentally smirking at the Digimon Emperor's expressed annoyance.
'Good one, Davis!' Kari mentally cheered, pushing aside her own shock to see that a human was in fact the one responsible for the perils so many Digimon were now undergoing.
Turning his head and refocusing on his plans, the Digimon Emperor then smirked as he looked at Kari and Gatomon, commenting with a further devious smile. "I was only planning to capture you and your little lizard, not your girlfriend as well."
Hearing their enemy calling her Davis' girlfriend, Kari couldn't help but to let her mind wander, the Digidestined of Light imagining herself escorted by Davis' side and through the streets of Odaiba on a romantic date.
Paying the daydreaming Digidestined no mind, the Digimon Emperor's wicked smile remained focused on Davis, telling the maroon haired Digidestined. "I'll find some use for her fleabag, but perhaps I'll make her a maid to clean around my base."
This comment caused Kari to snap out of her daydreaming and to pale, the brunette shivering at the cruel being's plan for her, as well as the dark possibility that he could use his Dark Rings to turn her into another mindless servant.
"Leave them alone! Your fight is with us!" Davis then snapped with a defensiveness in his voice, the emotion shared amongst him and through Veemon.
"Yeah, so just let Kari and Gatomon go!" Veemon added, which left a mixed array of emotion amongst the Digidestined, their partners and the Digimon Emperor himself.
For Kari and Gatomon, the Digidestined and Digimon of Light felt a continued warmth toward Davis and Veemon's kind and protective ways, the emotion, though admirable in his view, left the Digimon Emperor to show off another dark smile.
"Alright then." The Digimon Emperor replied with a smirk as he brought his hand up, where a Dark Ring materialized above him and slowly, almost to torture Veemon, began to float down towards the Digimon of Sincerity, who growled in frustration as he tried to get on his his restraints, a task Davis mimicked as he hoped the others were alright.

Though greatly worried about Davis, Kari and their Digimon partners, the remainder of the Digidestined continued in their advances toward the temple.
As Patamon and the other Digimon remained with worries for those captured by Coredramon, between Cody and Yolei, the pair were having doubts about their own abilities.
After witnessing the attack of the puppeted Digimon and unable to do anything to save their friends, this replaced most of the eagerness of having a Digimon partner and left uncertainty to overtake the younger Digidestined, which was noticed by Matt, Sora and Izzy.
Finally arriving at the temple and approaching the base of a pyramid-like structure, which held many cracks and even fragments missing from the structure itself, the Digidestined and the Digimon found two Digi-Eggs similar to the Digi-Egg of Sincerity resting upon separate pillars.
Taking in the features of the Digi-Egg upon the first pillar, the Digidestined and Digimon saw the Digi-Egg resembling a shining silver half egg-like shape bearing a pair of wings and marked with the Crest of Love upon it.
The second Digi-Egg held its own unique qualities within its form.
Protruding itself into a more pear-like shape and shaded in yellow and purple markings, aside from the small spike emerging from the top, the key feature was the purple ringed marking, which the older Digidestined recognized as the Crest of Knowledge.
Looking to one another, Izzy and Sora nodded in understanding, before the Digidestined of Love and of Knowledge approached their respective Crests and tried their luck, to see if they could lift the Digi-Eggs and gain the unique power to defy the Digimon Emperor.
Despite their best efforts and despite their strength, Sora and Izzy found they were unable to even move the Digi-Eggs, the sight familiar to Patamon and the others.
"You guys had to try, but I think we know who needs to lift them." Matt then said as he gestured to Yolei and Cody.
However, looking Yolei and Cody over, to see the looks of hesitation on their faces, the Digidestined of Friendship expressed his empathy.
"I know what you are going through. I felt the same way when I started off as a Digidestined, but right now your friends need you, so show those Digi-Eggs who's boss." Matt went on to say with a continued confidence within the newer Digidestined.
"We all believe in you, so you have to believe in yourself." Sora added.
Although they had only met not too long ago, the Digidestined of Love remained with an expressed faith within Yolei and within Cody, this was shared amongst Biyomon and the others.
The positives far outweighing the negatives, Yolei and Cody approached the Digi-Eggs with a growing confidence.
Guided by their hearts, Yolei approached the Digi-Egg of Love, while Cody moved towards the Digi-Egg of Knowledge, both placing their hands on the items as they slowly moved to lift them.
And, as expected, Yolei and Cody were surprised as they easily lifted the Digi-Eggs, before two pillars of light, one of a powerful crimson energy, the other pouring a bright purple light then emerged from the pedestals.
Amazed at the sights before them, the group then saw two figures slowly emerged from out the depths beneath the energy pillars, taking the shape of two new Digimon.
The first was an avian-like species of Digimon, just like Biyomon, but taking in the appearance of this new Digimon, it had red feathers around its chest and wings, white feathers around its head alongside sharp red markings under its eyes and a belt set firmly around its head and supporting a single yellow tipped feather.
Although amazed to see this new type of Digimon, which left Yolei in a further state of awe, already feeling a strong bond with this Digimon, from his position, Cody felt a similar wave of emotions as he took in the appearance of the Digimon destined to be his partner.
Having a small build such as Agumon, Gabumon and the other Odaiba Digimon, the Digimon now hovering before Cody was unlike any Digimon the previous Digidestined had encountered.
Being a quadratic based creature with what looked to be yellow scales running along its hind and front legs, the top of the Digimon's body, and the top portion of its head was covered by a golden shaded shelling, giving it the appearance of an armadillo-like creature.
Opening their eyes, the two new Digimon turned and looked at those present, particularly Yolei and Cody, where they leapt from the pillars of light and landed before their new partners with excitement in their expressions.
"Greetings and salutations, I am Hawkmon, and it is indeed a pleasure to finally meet you, Yolei." The Digimon now identified as Hawkmon said as he made his introduction, showing a kind and mature mannerism as he bowed before the puzzled purple haired girl.
Blinking a few times and finally allowing her mind to register the events playing before her, Yolei then startled everyone as she then raised her arm and cried out in joy and excitement. "Yes! As the Digimon of Love, it has to be a sign! He's perfect to help me finally win Davis over! "
Blinking his own eyes from his understandable confusion, Hawkmon sweatdropped to the intensity of his new partner, while those watching let out sighs at the sight.
While Yolei was fawning over Hawkmon and imagining her partner arranging a date for her and Davis, Cody was showing a kinder bond with his new partner.
"Nice to meet you, Cody. You can call me Armadillomon." The Digimon of Knowledge said with a great kindness in his tone as he extended out his right paw, which Cody immediately took into his hand and shook eagerly.
"Amazing, my own Digimon partner!" Cody could only say through his evident excitement, this causing Armadillomon to smile as he looked upon the growing smile of the new Digidestined of Knowledge, certain Cody would use this emotion to help fight against the dark forces threatening the Digital World.
Getting the formalities out of the way and after introducing themselves to the other Digidestined and their partners, who welcomed Hawkmon and Armadillomon to the team, TK and the others knew that time was crucial and that Davis, Kari and their partners needed them.
As if sensing their thoughts, Yolei and Cody's Digivices began beeping once again, showing a location not to far from the temple, a canyon of sorts, and two flashing lights, the map indicating and acknowledging Davis and Kari's Digivices, before the two Digi-Eggs began to glow with energy.
"I do believe you both must call out, Digi-Armour energize." Hawkmon then explained with further trust his tone and his smile, looking forward to his Digivolution and adding his new friends.
Looking to one another and nodding, Yolei and Cody then held their Digi-Eggs out and declared with might. "Digi-armour energize!"
At the call, the Digi-Eggs began to glow with a powerful bright light, followed soon after as Hawkmon and Armadillomon were each consumed in auras light, each taking on a new form.
"Hawkmon, Armour Digivolve to..."
"Armadillomon, Armour Digivolve to..."
Upon the light fading, the group looked upon the new Digimon with shock and awe.
Retaining a portion of his avian features through his Digivolution, Yolei and the other Digidestined present looked in awe, to see Hawkmon change from the small feathered creature he was and into a great and mighty beast, which stood proudly upon four legs, his striking blue eyes bearing a further power behind the Digi-Egg of Love, which had become part of Hawkmon.
Fusing itself upon the Digivolved form of Hawkmon, the Digi-Egg of Love now acting as a helmet, Yolei's Digmon swept around the area, declaring with a further powerful call "Halsemon, the Wings of Love!"
As amazed as everyone was to Halsemon's presence, the Digidestined and their partners remained with a continued surprise at the changes within Armadillomon's appearance.
Swapping from his mammal-like appearance and into a more insectoid based Digimon, the Digidestined, new and old, took in the form of the Digimon of Knowledge, to see that as this altered form of Armadillomon held clear traces of the Crest of Knowledge within his appearance, this including his the golden yellow and purple marked armouring running along his body, drills now protruded from out of his claws and from out of his proboscis.
With his Digivolution complete, Armadillomon's new form then declared with a similar might, expressing a call matching Halsemon's power. "Digmon, the Drill of Knowledge!"
As the Digidestined, particularly Yolei and Cody, stared upon the new Digimon in awe, Halsemon looked upon the others and stated with a serious tone. "Now, let's go save the others."

Continuing to struggle against the metal bindings around his arms and legs, the worry within left Veemon growling.
To see the Dark Ring, the Digimon of Sincerity hated the very thought of being turned against his friends, but Veemon also despised the very thought of Gatomon forced to serve under the Digimon Emperor's command.
"Enjoy watching your little pet become my servant." The Digimon Emperor remarked as he looked to Davis, who glared back at him, while Kari and Gatomon watched on with panic as the Dark Ring closed in on its target and was about to snap itself around Veemon's neck.
"Tempest Wing!" A powerful voice suddenly called out, before a stream of red energy slammed into the Dark Ring, which dissolved instantly, much to the relief of Veemon and the others.
"What!?" The Digimon Emperor questioned as he looked around, scanning the area for the one who would oppose him before something then shot past Davis and Veemon, where the wicked being saw both missed from their restraints, before seeing a large hole in the wall where Kari and Gatomon were restrained.
"Thanks for the save, Yolei." Davis then said as he, Veemon and the purple haired girl sat on Halsemon's back.
"And thanks to you as well." Veemon added with his own kindness and appreciation.
"Glad to be of service." Yolei said in reply with a smirk she tried to hide as she looked over and toward Kari and Gatomon set within Digmon's arms, seeing the brunette glaring at her as Davis' arms were wrapped around Yolei's waist for support.
Growling to see the new arrivals, that there were more Digimon that could defy his blocker, and continued to oppose him, the Digimon Emperor called out with authority. "Musyamon, Sealsdramon, Coredramon!"
Instantly, Musyamon and Sealsdramon leapt from out of the shadows and landed before the Digimon Emperor, while Coredramon's roar could be heard in the air as he flew towards the battlefield, letting the Digidestined know they needed to focus and to ready themselves for battle.
"Are you ready to fight?" Halsemon asked as he looked back to Veemon, who nodded in reply.
Looking to Davis and seeing the familiar determination within look in his eyes, the Digimon of Sincerity leapt off of Halsemon's back, while Davis withdrew his Digivice, which began to glow with a shining light, along with Veemon's body.
"Digi-armour Energize!"
"Veemon, Armour Digivolve to... Yasyamon, the Twin Swords of Sincerity!"
Watching from the side, Matt, Sora, Izzy, TK and their partners looked on with awe to see Veemon Digivolve to Yasyamon, who landed gracefully before Muysamon and was quick to confront the samurai Digimon.
From their vantage point, The group then saw Digmon approach them, who then guided Kari and Gatomon down to their feet, before returning to battle, alongside Cody, who sat upon his partner's shoulder, guiding the new Digimon of Knowledge.
"Be careful, guys!" Kari called with a growing concern in her voice as she was worried for the others as they prepared themselves against the Digimon Emperor and his slaves, expecially Davis and Yasyamon.
Likewise, Gatomon clenched her paws.
As helpless as she felt, still feeling drained from the battle the day before and without the ability to Digivolve to Angewomon, her power was limited.
While their blades clashed against one another through fast and powerful sweeps, Yasyamon and Musyamon remained in close conflict, the proud warriors showing their clear skills and might within their battle.
"Double Strike!" Yasyamon announced as he swung both blades around, striking upon Musyamon from the sides and catching the samurai Digimon off guard, even causing the enslaved Digimon to skid back a few feet.
Though damaged, Musyamon showed his fighting spirit though the Digimon Emperor's control as he regained his composure, returned to his fighting stance and gripped his hands tightly around the hilt of his blade.
"Your spirit is strong, Muysamon." Yasyamon remarked with respect, his stance remaining battle ready. "No matter what happens, we will free you from this cursed servitude."
Bound by the Digimon Emperor's command, Muysamon merely rushed toward Yasyamon in another attempt to end his foe, his blade ready to strike as he prepared to use his Shogun Sword attack to attack the Digimon of Sincerity.
His grasp tightening around his blades and refusing to hold back, to put everything on the line, Yasyamon charged toward Musyamon.
"Double Strike!" The Digimon of Sincerity announced with a further might within his voice.
Disappearing in the blink of an eye and reappearing behind Musyamon, who stood still, the Dark Ring around his left ankle suddenly shattered from the swift force of Yasyamon's attack, freeing the samurai Digimon as he fell to his knees.
"Thank you... brave warrior..." Musyamon just said in a strained voice, before passing out, allowing Yasyamon to know he had indeed freed the samurai Digimon from the influence of the Digimon Emperor.

As Yasyamon and Musyamon ended their battle, another battle continued closeby.
Leaping around the battlefield and showing his combination of deadly speed and skills as a mercenary, Sealsdramon leapt around Digmon and Cody, throwing his knives at the pair in an attempt to end them quickly.
Fortunately, Digmon's armoured plating was more than enough to block the attacks and weaponry from the enslaved Digimon, even shielding Cody a few times with his drill-like fingers through the brunette's continued guidance.
Looking at Sealsdramon as he continued to leap around the area, Cody remained observant of their opponent, even noticing a pattern to the enslaved Digimon's movements, which allowed him to anticipate and counteract Sealsdramon.
"Digmon, he's going to jump on your right and onto those rocks!" The new Digidestined of Knowledge declared as he pointed to a rock formation not too far off, this causing Digmon to nod in reply.
"Good call, Cody!" Digmon remarked with a clear respect in his voice, before turning to the direction his partner indicated and attacked.
"Gold Rush!" The Digimon of Knowledge announced as he launched off his drill-like fingers, which shot straight through the rocky formation which Sealsdramon had just landed upon.
Thrown off guard and unable to react quick enough, the enslaved Digimon was caught in Digmon's attack, the drills cracking through the rocky surface and causing Sealsdramon to then collapse, which in turn allowed Digmon to close in and land the final blow.
Slamming his arm into Sealsdramon's body, Digmon's attack smashed through and shattered the Dark Ring apart as Sealsdramon flew backwards and crashed into the ground below.
Although injured, Sealsdramon was now free from the Digimon Emperor's control.
Letting out a cheer to their victory, and to their teamwork, Cody then wrapped his arms happily around Digmon's neck, the action causing the Digimon of Knowledge to hum happily as he was looking forward to the time he and Cody could continue to show their partnership.

With Sealsdramon and Musyamon both taken down and no longer underlings to the Digimon Emperor, Halsemon,Yolei and Davis found themselves in a dogfight against Coredramon.
Traversing high throughout the skies at high speeds, the two new Digidestined and Digimon of Love did what they could to dodge the flame attacks from the enslaved draconic Digimon, who flew after the pair in a mindless rage.
Dodging another wave of searing flames from Coredramon and looking upon his passengers, Halsemon told the Digidestined of Sincerity and of Love. "You two better hold on tight!"
Taking this as a chance to get close to Davis, Yolei guided the maroon haired Digidestined's arms tighter around her body, which caused the purple haired Digidestined to grow a little giddy from the continued contact between her and her crush, not minding the slightest if he took this moment himself to cup a feel.
But being Davis, the new leader of the Digidestined remained focused on the battle, looking behind him as Coredramon continued to chase after them with a blind fury, where an idea came to mind.
"Haslemon, come to a full stop! He's in such a fury he'll fly right past us before he notices!" Davis suddenly called out.
Compliant to the command and doing as Davis told him, Halsemon reeled his wings back, slowing down his movements, which caused Coredramon to shoot straight past them, leaving the enslaved Digimon open for an attack.
"Tempest Wing!" The Digimon of Love called with a great might in his voice, before unleashing a wave of red energy from his wings, which struck Coredramon from behind and all but destroyed the Dark Ring as the draconic Digimon fell from the sky in defeat.
However, with their three victories, one witnessing the battles play themselves out, the Digimon Emperor, felt irritated from seeing the enslaved Digimon defeated.
"Useless, all of them!" The Digimon Emperor growled.
Despite his loss, the wicked being once again found himself drawn to the purple haired beauty on the back of the new flying Digimon, the idea of her accompanying him as his own consuming his mind.
However, breaking from the thoughts revolving around his supposed enemy, the Digimon Emperor turned just in time to see Yasyamon leaping right for him.
"Your evil ends now!" The Digimon of Sincerity declared as he prepared to grab the Digimon Emperor and take him into custody, to end his dark reign once and for all.
However...
"Spiking Strike!" Another Digimon suddenly announced, the attack causing Yasyamon to quickly bring up his wooden swords together and to block a pair of red energy blades, which tried to pierce through him.
Seeing what had happened, the Digimon of Sincerity, along with all the Digidestined and Digimon, new and old, looked to see a large Digimon fly down next to the Digimon Emperor, one resembling a green skinned humanoid with insectoid based features, which included long green antennas, multifaceted eyes and giant buzzing wings.
But what really surprised and shocked the Digidestined and their partners was the fact that this Digimon did not have a Dark Ring anywhere on his person, revealing that this Digimon was willingly serving the Digimon Emperor.
Growling as he struggled against the insect Digimon's blades, Yasyamon glared upon his new opponent.
"Why would you serve this madman?!" He questioned after managing to push back and to repel his enemy, who then moved and scooped up the Digimon Emperor in his arms, all the while, his eyes remained locked with the Digimon of Sincerity.
"For the same reason you side with your partner." The insect Digimon said in reply, his words causing many in the group to widen their eyes as the meaning of his words hit them.
Looking upon the Digimon Emperor, Davis took note of the evil being's hand, to see a Digivice similar to his own within his possession, one that was black in colour, while remembering what Gatomon said the day before.
It was then that realization hit the maroon haired Digidestined and most of his friends and allies, their foe was a Digidestined himself.
"You won this battle, but the war is far from over." The Digimon Emperor then commented with a combination of arrogance and superiority as Stingmon then carried his partner away from the battle and back to their base, leaving the Digidestined, new and old, along with their partners, to contemplate this new development.

After checking to make sure that Musyamon, Sealsdramon and Coredramon were alright after the battles and sending them off to safety, the Digidestined and their Digimon returned to the TV monitor, Matt, Sora and Izzy looked to their partners with understandable worry.
"Don't worry, we'll return to Wizardmon's place for safety, and the Digimon Emperor doesn't seem to attack after sundown." Gabumon told Matt and the others, which filled the Digidestined of Friendship and the others with relief.
"Alright then, we'll try to be back when we can. Please be safe." Sora said to the trio as she slumped down to her knees and hugged Biyomon, who nodded in reply.
After saying their goodbyes and turning toward the monitor, Davis then held his Digivice out to the monitor, where, much to the surprise of Gabumon, Biyomon and Tentomon, not only were the Digidestined all pulled in, but Veemon, Armadillomon, Hawkmon, Gatomon and Patamon were also drawn in as well.

With an annoyed sigh, Tai finally found himself returning to the computer lab after getting away from his old teacher, grumbling under his voice. "That man had serious relationship issues."
Entering the lab, Tai then blinked his eyes to Jun was the only one within the lab, who was typing away at her laptop as she continued to collect all the data she could upon the Digi-Gate and the Digimon.
Confused and uncertain of the location of his sibling and their friends, Tai had to ask. "How long was I gone?"
"Three hours, thirty minutes and forty two seconds." Jun merely said in reply without even looking up from her screen, this causing Tai to sweatdrop a little, though sighing after, already used to the maroon haired girl's lack of social interactions.
"And when will the others be back?" The Digidestined of Courage then asked.
"According to these readings, they should return right..." Jun began to say with a continued serious logic within her voice as she then pointed to the monitor next to her, which then lit up and was followed by a series of surprised cries and fumbling sounds.
When the light faded, Tai found himself surprised, not only to Kari and the others there, but Gatomon, Patamon and three other Digimon he had never seen before as well within the dogpile, this causing Jun to comment. "We may need to work on a better way to ensure proper return access."
Getting up from her position within the pile, Gatomon's eyes then landed on Davis' head.
Hearts formed in her eyes to see a small blue Digimon with stubby arms and legs, a small tail and familiar pointed ears, an adorable sight to the Digimon of Light who was quick to realize that this was Veemon's In-Training form.
Acting on impulse and unable to control herself, Gatomon quickly scooped the small Digimon into her arms.
Misunderstanding Gatomon and her motives, Veemon's In-Training form, DemiVeemon, looked upon Gatomon with a smile and told her. "It's alright, Gatomon, I can still walk in this form."
But seemingly unable to, or unwilling to hear the small Digimon, Gatomon continued to hold him close, even nuzzling her cheek against his own as she began to purr, leaving a few to chuckle, while the In-Training forms of Armadillomon and Hawkmon, Upamon and Poromon, watched on with their own confusion.
For Davis, however, the maroon harried Digidestined was more focused on the battle that had occurred today, and what it would mean for their future.

From his control room, the Digimon Emperor rewatched the battles between the Digidestined, their Digimon partners and the Digimon slaves under his control, looking over the two new Digimon that fought against him, while Wormmon rested once again at his side.
"Looks like we're going to have more challenges soon." The wicked being remarked, this causing Wormmon to nod in agreement as the Digimon Emperor prepared for his next move.
