It took Yuma a few seconds to realize that Blister was talking about his Duel Runner. "I didn't name her."

"Well you should. It's bad luck for a Turbo Duelist to ride an unname Duel Runner."

The King of the Netherworld rose from the pit of hell that was the old reactor and wasted no time making its way toward the Condor mark like a moth to flame.

From out of the clouds, the Crimson Dragon came and whisked them away to fight the evil force. Unfortunately it wasn't one they expected.

They were taken back to Goodwin's mansion. The Stairway to the Dragon Star, which Yuma was pretty sure was in the basement last he saw it, now broke through the ground and stood high over them. And like a king, Goodwin greeted them from the top of the tower.

Correction, a god.

"Soon, I will have both the power of the Light and the Darkness." Goodwin declared, both the Mark of the Condor and the Signer Mark of the Head glowed brightly on his body.

His own Mark burned echoing Yuma's dread.

"What are you planning to do with those Mark?" Yusei questioned, his eyes narrowed.

"What else? To become all powerful and rule the world! And now, with my Dark Sign and the power my brother entrusted in me, I shall!" He shouted in reply. Power surged through the tower bringing it to even greater height and rocked the island to the core.

Everyone evacuated from the pirated island through the highway as the earth broke under them. Only stopping at the safety of the stable land.

"Behold the purge of my reign to come!" Goodwin's voice boomed from the heavens. "But first, let us begin the ancient ritual for the King of the Netherworld! We will Duel on the Crest of the Condor! There, I will crush you Signers, and send you all to the Netherworld! And in turn, the King shall do my bidding and then, my ultimate plan will be set in motion!"

"So you had been using us all this time?" Yuma shouted, gritting his teeth. "Gather all of us Signers just so we can take out your competition?"

"I have my reasons that a child like you wouldn't understand. Now," Goodwin spread out his arm. "Shall we partake in this Duel and finally see the end to twenty years of pain and sorrow?"

" Then get set to get deck, Goodwin." Yuma slid his own Duel Disk into his Duel Runner. "Because you're going down."

"Very well, but be warned! You are all destined to fall! None of you shall come out of this alive!"

"So what? We knew that was a possibility from the beginning." Jack retorted, the engine of Wheel of Fortune rumbled along his resolve. "So bring it on! No one here is afraid of you, Goodwin!"

"That's right!" Crow added on slapping the Blackbird's hood ." You may have bulging biceps now but this bad boy was built for speed and power! Just like the Legendary Man himself! That's right, we'll soar as high as he did in this duel!"

Goodwin growled at their defiance but Yusei pushed forward, stepping on Yusei Go. "Let's end this one and for all! Crow, Jack, Yuma and I are going to stop you and the King of the Netherworld!"

"Yes, that is, if you can win. But you wretched Signer are the ones who'll be getting the beating!"

The mark of the Condor lowered itself, allowing all four of them to enter its back. Allowing them to be a bit closer to Goodwin's level. With the rules laid out for the four on one, Leo's wish good luck and Akiza urged to be careful.

The duel officially began.

"Duel!"

Crow: 4000 LP

"I'll take the first move! I summon Blackwing - Mistral the Silver Shield. And when a Blackwind's out, I can summon something else from my hand! Something that's gonna really give you a serious edge, and a sharp edge at that! I special summon Blackwing - Bora the Spear! I then place one card face down and end my turn."

Jack: 4000 LP

"Which means you have to deal with me now! And I'll start by calling out Mad Archfiend! Next I throw a facedown and call it a turn!"

Yuma: 4000 LP

"I summon Revealer of the Ice Barrier. And in turn for discarding 1 card from my hand, Revealer can call upon a tuner from my deck. Join the field Cryomaner of the Ice tune Revealer, Synchro summon! Brionac Dragon of the Ice Barrier! Take your turn Yusei!"

Yusei: 4000 LP

"I summon Max Warrior! Then I'll throw a facedown and end my turn!"

Goodwin: 16000 LP

"It is finally my turn and beginning of your doom!"

Trishula screamed as Sun Dragon Inti shattered him into a million pieces. But even in death the trap Goodwin activated on Trishula still left a lingering purple aura which jumped over to Accretion Arkos and consumed the defending monster. Thankfully, Waboku made it so Yuma still stayed in the duel. He could see the resemblance between him and Roman now, other than the physical aspect, both men seemed to be determined to stop Yuma from using his synchro.

First, Goodwin ran over Brionac with sheer force. Then preventing Yuma from summoning Gungnir. And by the time Yuma was able to summon Trishula, Goodwin made it so Trishula could even use his effect or tune with Scarlet Star.

The only reason Yuma hadn't lost his last life point sooner was because of the Number built in battle defense.

The impact from the destruction caused his Duel Runner to swelled out of control, smoke billowed from the machine. Which, by all means, lasted far longer than it had any rights to.

"Give up, Yuma Tsukumo. Adn give me your Mark! Stop denying me my rightful power!"

He could feel the Scale Mark being yanked from his arm only stopped by Yuma's own Chaos. His hand burned with the intensity of a thousand sun. Their Will clashed and once again Yuma pulled through once again. But he knew he couldn't keep doing this tug of war every turn and the next time Goodwin demanded it, Yuma would not have enough strength to keep his Mark.

Yuma: 0001 LP

Stilling Hope, Yuma drew his card.

Goodwin wanted to make a world in his image, to end the struggle between Light and Darkness. A noble goal but one Yuma could not accept. A utopia could not be built by destruction and massacre. A world could not live without change and struggle and duality.

"You say you've reached the ends by complete solitude and perfect despair. But the way I see it you're just burying the bond you held with your brother." He told the man straight. Because Goodwin had already taken the other Marks establishing a link between them and not even Goodwin could deny his heart. " Connections like that can't be buried!"

He summoned Strategist then Speaker and let them dance together to the sky, opening up a portal to another world. Memories of time spent fluttered in his heart. For all the hurt and guilt they brought forth, hope and joy swelled up too, shinning like gold within his hand.

"Kattobingu! Old bond remake anew! Xyz summon! Number F2: Gagagaga Magician!"

"He summoned another Number!" Leo cheered. " That means Sun Dragon Inti can't destroy Gagagaga Magician in battle! If Yuma puts him in defense mode he basically has an unmovable shield!"

"Leo, are you forgetting something?" Luna nudged her brother.

"Earthbound Immortal Wiraqocha Rasca can attack directly, remember?" Akiza reminded him.

Roman laughed. "What nonsense, I carry no bonds. Summon as many of those Number monsters as you like, in the end there's no hope for you Signer. Meteor Flare! Your mark is mine Yuma!"

"Signers!" Yusei corrected, countering the trap with his own Joint Future protecting Yuma from 2000 effect damage. "Yuma is not alone. You might have our Marks, Goodwin. But you can not take away the bonds we shared!"

"That's right! And let me show you what the bonds of friendship can do! Gagagaga Magician, use one of your overlay units and bring back Accretion Arkos!"

"What?!"

"Now!" Yuma continued, Hope speeding up to allow him to ran alongside Yusei. "I overlay Rank 4 Number F1:Accretion Arkos with Rank 4 Number F2: Gagagaga Magician!"

It was the brightest Xyz summon yet, blinding even the light from the Mark of the Condor. The overlaying monster shot to the skies like shooting stars.

"Even in the darkest night, so long as there's the will, hope will always be there to carve out a path to a new dawn! Xyz Summon! Rise up! Number F0: Pledge Of Wishes - Utopic Future!"

Goodwin paused for a moment before sneering. " A zero ATK monster. That thing is barely a grain of dust compare to my Earthbound Immortal."

Yuma just smirked. " Utopic Future attacks Sun Dragon Inti!"

Even from up high, Yuma could hear everyone below gasping. Thinking him mad. Yusei on the other hand stayed steady by him, trusting his judgment.

"Utopic Future's special ability kicks in! He can't be destroyed by battle nor do I take any damage in battle involving him! Furthermore….."

Utopic Future slammed his swords down onto the middle head of Sun Dragon Inti before jumping back. Neither monster looked worse for wear. As Utopic Future flew to fly alongside Yuma, Sun Dragon Inti left Goodwin's field.

"Any monster that Utopic Future battled joins my side! Since the sun had yet to set, Moon Dragon Quilla isn't going to protect you from a direct attack!"

3000 ATK was nowhere near enough to win, Goodwin's Life Point didn't even drop by halves. They weren't anywhere near evening the field but their turns weren't over yet.

Goodwin let out a blood curdling scream, fiery wrath consumed his mark, trying to rip his mark off in a burning fervor. His hand felt like it was being dip into laval and Yuma….

"Yuma!" Yusei called out when he noticed the tears and grimace on his face. "Hang on."

Yuma couldn't clung into the Mark any longer, his grip loosen every second as weariness set in. At the same time Yuma refused to give Goodwin another piece of power.

So Yuma hoped and the Crimson Dragon answered.

"This is all I have! Win this for us Yusei!"

The Mark of the Scale shone upon Yusei's back, one by one the Marks of Wings, Head, Tail, Right Claw and Left Claw showed themselves too.

Yusei took the last turn of the duel with a miracle. Calling out Goodwin for his lingering love toward his brother, and returning the Signer Mark to where they belong. Using the miracle, Yusei call upon the brightest star Yuma had luck to witness.

"The shine of clustering stars will illuminate a new miracle! Become the path its light shines upon! Synchro Summon! Arrive in light, Majestic Star Dragon!"
