I was sitting on the couch, with Adrienne in my lap. The party was in its full swing and I had downed 5 glasses till now but not drunk. We were in middle of the dare game. I saw the bottle spin and land on Hermes.
"Ahh now that's one interesting person!" Adrienne chuckled.
"So what do i have to accomplish, your majesty?!" Hermes slurred to her.
"Umm let's see," Adrienne looked around and smirked. "You see Aphrodite there?!"
I turned my head around to look along with others. Aphrodite. Bad girl of the school. She looked super-hot tonight, which must be usual for her. I never talked to her, except once during chemistry experiment. She was leaning by the window and waiting for the chemical to turn yellow and precipitate. Intrestingly, she wasnt alone, as much it might seem so with whole class already recording the observation. I took my own white testube to her.
"Hey! Wanna raise a toast to our not-so-successful experiment?"
She looked up at me for a second and then broke into a smile, "Sure sir! Happy bad experiments!" She clinked her testtube with mine.
I looked at her. Long brown hair, blue eyes, slender willowy body and her legs. Damn those legs, no wonder every guy drools over her. "So you're not planning to give this milkshake to the Rose.?" That's what we called the chemistry teacher, Mr. Ruso.
"Nah? I dont know, maybe if Athena is done with hers, she'd help me." She looked at me with a tilted head.
I ran my hand through my hair, "Mix them?"
"We're anyway gonna flunk this!" She chuckled and poured hers in mine. Surprisingly we passed. The liquid had the same yellow colour tho it was something different but we convinced Rose.
"You have to go and drop this drink on her and come back alive" Adrienne chirped. I looked at Aph, a mint-green short dress clad around her body. It was backless and was a perfect combination to her lightly tanned skin, and it screamed a thousand dollars.
Hermes winked at her and got up. "He's gonna get his ass kicked!" I laughed.
"you'd fight for him, right? He's your friend." Someone from the group asked.
"If things come down to it, yes I will"
Hermes went to Aph and talked about something. All of a sudden, he tripped a waiter and the juices fell on Aph. "What in the fucking world?" Aph screamed at the waiter. Nice move. He's safe!
"I'm sorry! I tell someone to clean it!" The waiter apologized.
"Yeah really thankful of you! Also ask them to clean this bar of clumsy drunkards too. I saw you tripping him." She turned to Hermes. Fuck, he's so gone!
"That was a mistake Aph!" Hermes shrugged.
"Yeah that is expected! After all you are a mistake too." She said and turned back, picked her own glass of drink and threw it over Hermes, and walked away.
"Nice line!" someone shouted from the bar side as she walked past it only to get a middle finger.
"Thanks for ruining my night." Hermes came back to us. I laughed and tilt my back as the game continued. That's when I saw her. Red hair tied in a bun, pale skin, rosy cheeks. I put Adrienne down and got up.
"What happened, Ares?" She asked me getting up but i didnt bother to reply. All I knew in that moment was it was her, and she couldnt be here but yet she was. I walked up to her in what seemed like hours. My palms were sweaty. I tapped her shoulder gently.
She turned around,"Yeah?"
Fuck, it aint her. No green eyes. She was someone else and her eyes widened at me. She must be an outsider, girls in school were used to me. I shook my head and pretended to be my usual self and gave her a smirk,"Havent seen you around here? I would like to get to know you."
Her eyes took in every bit of me and she gulped. My shirt was taken off due to an earlier dare, and I was just wearing my jeans.
"Hey Ares! She my date tonight." I saw Sebastian pull her by waist.
"Oh all in good humour, Sebastian! Enjoy tonight!" I gulped down a drink and walked away. My head started aching. Seeing someone look so much like her is too much for me. I wondered if she would have looked same if she was here. I made my way upto terrace. and sighed. Need some fresh air.
