Chapter 4: Ox-fire (1)
It's been a week ever since Subaru and Kenshi met War-rock and Z, the two have been virus busting every afternoon since Kenshi has to go to school in the morning from Monday to friday. It's now Friday, Kenshi is walking to his school.
"Hey Kenshi, why does humans go to school?"
"Because it's purpose was to let children learn things from that place and also making friends."
Z then asked, "But why does humans litteraly teach kids about so many boring stuff that made anyone could sleep?"
"I even think the subject in school were mostly boring." Kenshi agree, "But at least it help us making all kind of friends."
"Then do you consider those three as friends for you?" Z pointed towards the three people in front of Subaru's house so Kenshi stopped from walking. It turns out that they were Luna, Gonta, and Kizamaro try to make Subaru go to school again.
"Say your prayers, Hoshikawa Subaru! Today will be the day I will have you come to school, no matter what!"
Kenshi watch from a few meters away, watching Luna burst. "I bet it will fail miserably." Kenshi muttered.
As Luna about to ring the doorbell, Luna got knocked to the side by Subaru open the door which made Kenshi looked in shocked.
"I'm off…." Subaru told his mom weakly and decide to walk slowly to the school. Kenshi noticed that Subaru has an eyebags under his eyes.
When Luna looked back in surprised, His mom told Luna, "I'm not really sure why, but Subaru suddenly started saying he wanted to go to school."
While Gonta and Kizamaro keep looking Subaru walk away, Kenshi decide to catchup with Subaru. "Morning, Subaru."
"Mornin…" Subaru let out a yawn.
"How come you decide wanna go to school now?" Kenshi know that he told Subaru to take his time when he ready to go to school, but this sudden change sure made Kenshi looked surprised.
"I kept bugged him all day long until he gave up." War-rock told Z and Kenshi.
"Damn, you're evil."
"It's pretty boring okay? I cannot help it but wanna see what school's like."
"Oh you'll see it sooner buddy." Z replied.
After Subaru took a seat, he told War-rock to keep quiet to make sure there will be no problem at all. When the class started, the teacher began to absent the kids inside the class. After calling everyone out one by one, the teacher exclaimed, "Now everyone in 5-A finally present! Hoshikawa-kun, if there is something you don't understand, just ask me okay?"
"Okay." Subaru gave her a nod.
"Anyway before we start, we have two new transferred student coming to this class."
The class except Subaru began to whisper amongst each other, they're curious who's gonna be the new student that will be attending in the class.
"Please be quiet everyone." Everyone went quiet, "Alright, you two can come inside now."
As the door opened, they saw 2 girls enter the classroom. One of the girl has a dark purplish red short hair wearing a pink hoodie, a short yellow pants along with a long stripped gloves while the other girl has a royal purple short hair. Apparently the class except Subaru surprised by one of the new student.
"HIBIKI MISORA?!"
"Okay everyone calm down now." The teacher turned to the new students, "Alright you two can introduce yourself now."
"Hello everyone, I'm Hibiki Misora."
"And my name's Kawashima EI."
"I hope we can get along." Both girls said in unison.
"Okay Kawashima-chan, you can sit right next to Masato-kun." The woman point towards the seat on the left side of Kenshi, then she point towards the empty seat right next to Subaru, "While Hibiki-chan can sit right next to Hoshikawa-kun."
After the two girls went to the destined seat, Ei looked at Kenshi, "Hello, you're Masato-san right?" Kenshi gave her a nod, "I Hope we get along."
"Same goes to you."
Meanwhile wiith Misora, she's staring at Subaru who looks like having no reaction at all as if he looks like he isolated himself for a long time.
After that, the class went goes as it intended to. Unknown to Subaru, War-rock quietly fly away from Subaru transfer because it turns out that School is boring for him so he decide to fly around out of school.
When it's break time, Subaru decide to go to the rooftop because he realized War-rock left and went to check where did he go using his visualizer with Kenshi.
"Man, where has he gone to now?" Subaru asked.
"War-rock sure get away just now."
"That's just how war-rock is, trying to find somewhere fun." Z replied.
Suddenly the two of them felt someone poking their shoulder from behind them, Subaru and Kenshi turned around and saw the new students looking at them with Subaru and Kenshi put their visualizer on top of their head.
"Hello you two."
"What are you two doing here anyway?"
"Umm… hanging out up here?" Subaru replied.
"Do you mind if we joined?" Misora asked with a smile.
Kenshi looked at Subaru, wanna know what his answer gonna be, but Subaru replied, "Umm, I guess you could-"
"What are you doing out here?"
Subaru get interrupted by Luna who is with Kizamaro and Gonta, but Gonta has a stack of book being put down on the floor next to Subaru.
"Eh? Hibiki Misora and Kawashima-san is here too?"
"Yeah, we just happened to meet these two here."
When Subaru looked at Luna in shock and confusion, Luna explained, "These are all the notes up to yesterday. It would be a problem if you got left behind on your studies, right?"
"Excuse me, but what do you mean by left behind?" Ei asked, curious about it now.
"Lemme explain, Kawashima." Kenshi volunteer to explain, "Let's say that Subaru has been home studying for 3 years until now because of some reason."
Kenshi know what's the reason of why Subaru decide to home-study, but it would be the best to hiding it from the new student.
"For 3 years?!" Misora and Ei surprised, they didn't expect someone try to be isolated for 3 years.
"Well aside of that, I've been studying at home in this whole time so.."
Suddenly Gonta grabbed his collar, "What? Are you planning to put the Class President's kindness to waste?"
"That's not my intention, but…"
"Subaru already studying most of the material in school." Kenshi interrupted, which made everyone looked at him, "I've been giving him the school material for each subject for three years so Subaru doesn't get left behind at all. Besides, Subaru is really smart so it's no problem at all."
"Oh yeah, I forgot that you've been Subaru-kun's friend for a long time." Luna suddenly remembered.
"Anyway, can you let go of me now?" Subaru begged.
Gonta then pull his hand away from Subaru's collar.
"I guess you must be kinda lost because it's been a while since you came to school." Luna crossed her arm, "There has been quite a lot of construction while you were absent, so it's quite different, isn't it?"
Luna proceed to grab one of Subaru's arm, "I'll show you around." She dragged Subaru going inside the building, "First, let's go see the new telescope and the planetarium."
Kizamaro and Gonta followed the two of them, leaving behind Kenshi with the two girls. They stay silent for a while, didn't know where to start.
"So…" Kenshi tried to break the silence, "You girls need to explore the school so you two could get used to it?"
"Well sure I guess."
"Better than doing nothing." Misora agreed.
Kenshi has given Misora and Ei a tour exploring the school for a few minutes. Of course there's gonna be some interruption with other student because of Misora's popularity as a famous pop singer which has so many fans even in the school itself. Kenshi took a breath after the eventful Afternoon.
"I should have know this would happened." Kenshi thought out loud.
The girls giggled at Kenshi, with Ei commented, "Welcome to our world Masato-kun." It was funny for her to see Kenshi has to go through their usual routine.
"I guess being someone 'TOO' famous really is bad thing, Hibiki."
"For sure it is."
After they catch their breath, Kenshi stand up and looked at the girls, "Well i guess that's wraps up everything here, so got any question?"
"Actually... I have one question, though it's not related about the school at all." Misora spoke up, looked at kenshi, "It's about... Subaru-kun."
This raised Kenshi eyebrows and a teasing smile from him as well, "Oh? Never expected came out from a famous singer. Interested in him so much?"
Ei looked at Misora with a teasing smile as well which Misora blushed, "N-No, it's just that when everyone surprised by my appearance inside the class, everyone called my name in shock except for..." She looked outside the window, "Subaru-kun."
"Well, i guess i expected that happened." Kenshi admitted.
"You looked like already know Hoshikawa-san, Masato-kun." Ei replied, realized his behavior as if it's a normal thing.
"You got anything to share?"
Kenshi know that sooner someone gonna ask about it. Inside, he don't want to share about the incident hat made Subaru isolated himself sooo that's about it."
"Is there a reason why?" Misora now become more curious than before.
"Well... It's personal so i don't think it's a good idea to talk about it." He knows it would break their friendship since Subaru wasn't ready to tell the others about it.
"Oh." Misora felt dissapointed, didn't get the chance to know more about Subaru.
"Well, i think you can ask Subaru about it when the time comes, because it's not the right time to ask him now."
"Anyway, that's everything in this school i guess. I'll see you girls later."
Kenshi turn around, leaving Misora and Ei in the empty hallway. When kenshi already gone, Ei noticed that Misora expression still he same. She still looked dissapointed, and to break her thought, Ei asked Misora, "You still like to know more about him?"
Misora looked at Ei, "Yeah, something tell me that i should helped out Subaru-kun, he looks like someone who had lost someone that's important to him."
"If that's the case, i wish you good luck okay? That is your decision after all."
Misora gave her friend a smile as a thank you to Ei for supporting her.
"Don't worry Misora, i'll support your decision as well."
The voice coming from Misora's guitar, there is an FM-ian named Harp who shaped like a harp and 2 pink-ish red flames on top of her head.
"Thank you as well, Harp."
Kenahi is now at the second floor staircase, taking his time to find where Subaru is. As he about to step on the stairs, he suddenly heard a loud crash which made him stopped walking.
"What was that?!"
"This energy! Damn, it's war-rock fighting an FM-ian." Z talked from Kenshi transfer.
"What?!" Kenshi put on his visualizer and looked outside from the school window.
When he looked outside, he saw an arena lamp fall down into the ground. On the other hand, Z and Kenshi saw 2 wave being fight each other. One of them was war-rock and the other one shaped like a bull and also has an armor like war-rock which Kenshi suspected was the FM-ian.
"Who is War-rock fighting right now, Z?"
"That's... Ox."
"Ox?"
"That's right, he is an FM-ian that has the highest strength among all FM-ian." Z explained, "Even though his strength is unrivaled to all FM-ian, he's not really smart and too predictable."
"So that guy is only all muscle huh?" The two of them saw War-rock get knocked into one of the basketball ring along with Ox shot a fireball towards War-rock.
"Uhhh should we help him out."
"As much as i ant to help War-rock right now, i wanna see how this battle went by if War-rock fight Ox alone." Z reasoned.
As Kenshi looked at War-rock again, he silently gave Z a nod.
"I have the highest strength among all FM-ian out there, you don't have a chance to win his battle, War-rock!"
"All you have is strength! Like hell i would lose to someone who is nothing than strength only!"
"What!"
War-rock fly in a high speed towards Ox-fire, and then fly around Ox-fire before he strike him with a high speed. After that, War-rock fly to gain some speed and hit Ox-fire nd knocked him towards the school on the forst floor.
"Damn, that was really good hit War-rock just did." Kenshi complimented.
"Indeed it is, strength isn't the only power out there and War-rock has an advantage towards Ox-fire despite his strength isn't as strong as Ox-fire."
Suddenly, they heard someone screaming. When they looked, they saw Gonta being chased by Ox, but after Ox enter his transfer, he dissapeared all of sudden.
"Crap! Where did Gonta go?" Kenshi became panicked when Gonta dissapeared.
Something showed up in the field, Kenshi and Z saw a bull monster in the middle of the field.
"Ox-fire!"
"Crap! That Ox used that gonta kid to denpa-henkan!" Z didn't expect this at all.
"Okay enough watching! We need to fight him now!"
Kenshi run through the staircase going to the rooftop. After he reached the rooftop, he make sure that nobody's around at all. Seeing nobody's here at all, Kenshi immediately perform an EM wave change.
"Denpa-henkan! Masato Kenshi! On-Air!"
Kenshi immediately surrounded by a purple light and transformed into Zero. As the bright purple energy that urrounded him dissapeared, Kenshi jumped above the fence, ready to fight Ox-fire.
