Alan and Ian snuck into the jungle watching Mark and Ellie closely. He pulled Ellie into a truck. Alan's anger was building, he had to fight every instinct in his body not go straight after her. They watched as the truck left and the area went quiet.

"We need to follow the tire tracks, come on. Stay quiet I'm guessing we are not alone out here." Alan said to Ian.

Ian nodded and followed Alan walking carefully towards the road.

Walking down the long road Alan in Ian watched their surroundings carefully.

"God I hope you're ok." Alan muttered under his breath thinking of Ellie.

"I'm guessing you're not asking after me?" Ian smiled at Alan.

Alan just glared at Ian. He was a private man, he didn't like expressing his feelings much to Ellie let alone Ian Malcolm.

"Ian, what are you getting at?" Alan knew there was no escape so he decided to get it over with. The quicker he shut Ian up the quicker he could get to Ellie.

"Oh, nothing really but, come on let's not kid around." Ian said, watching Alan's reaction carefully.

"You're a smart guy, Ian, I'm sure you can figure whatever it is out." Alan said toying with a few branches.

"I worked out the moment I saw you both at the airport. You're welcome by the way. I mean when I found that Ellie was single, I will admit I was happy she called. I even brought her flowers, champagne, the works…..even thought of inviting her back for a coff.."

"Ian! Don't you dare finish that sentence!" Alan stood and stared at Ian.

He wasn't about to confess anything to Ian. He knew how he felt about Ellie and it was her and only her alone that needed to know that.

Ian put his hands up.

"Ok, ok. I'm sorry, let's just find Ellie before you actually feed me to a dinosaur."

"Thank you, I see a structure over there." Alan pointed through the trees.

"Marks jeep too." Ian nodded toward the jeep Mark had Ellie in.

"Ok." Alan looked around

"There, look." Alan pointed to a side entrance.

"Well, that's our go to. Come on. Let's try the door." Ian said making sure the coast was clear before moving.

Ian and Alan quickly rushed to the side door. Alan wiggled the handle and the door opened.

Meanwhile,

Mark dragged Ellie to a room.

"Sit." Mark said, as he threw Ellie into a chair. Ellie sat down, she didn't take her eyes off Mark.

"You won't win you know" Ellie said, she felt some of her courage slowly coming back. She was still scared but she knew she didn't want Mark to have a hold over her anymore.

"Winning? Who said anything about winning?" Mark laughed at her.

Ellie stood up.

Mark slowly walked towards her.

"I said sit down!" Mark slapped Ellie back into her seat.

Ellie held her face and looked back up at Mark.

"God, look what you made me do!" Mark said, sneering down at her.

"Boss we have a situation we need you." A guard opened the door and spoke to Mark.

"Now?! God, what could possibly be so important?" Mark turned to the guard angry.

The guard looked silently at Mark.

"Fine, I'm coming." Mark said, walking towards the door.

Mark turned to Ellie.

"You stay here my sweet. Oh and don't bother about escaping. I have guards all over this building, you won't make it out." Mark laughed as he left the room slamming the door behind him.

Ellie got up and looked around the room for some way out. She walked to the door, looked through the window and saw two guards. One outside the door and one in the stairway.

Ellie walked back to her chair and cried in frustration. She was worried about Alan and Ian. She knew the old friend he was talking about was the T-Rex. She knew she had to try and escape. She just didn't know how too.

Inside the building Alan and Ian hid under some stairs. Alan heard a voice. Ian saw Alan's face turn to anger so he took his friends arm in the hope he wouldn't do anything stupid. Alan nodded and stayed silent as they listened to the conversation.

"What do you mean they are nowhere to be found? You're telling me they managed to knock out Tony and Joe, tie them and escape?" Mark spoke angrily.

"I'm sorry boss. They must have escaped into the forest, I don't know what to tell you." The guard spoke to Mark as they walked down the stairs that Ian and Alan were hiding under.

"Well lucky for you all is not lost. They don't know where we are so with any luck they are eaten before they find us and just to make doubly sure I want you to release the Raptors. Clear the forest area and let them lose; they can hunt the dear Dr's down and get rid of the evidence." Mark had a menacing look in his eyes.

"But sir" The guard tried to protest.

"Do it now or I will have them hunt you!" The guard hurried off talking into his radio.

Alan and Ian watched as Mark left the building behind the guard.

"Mark left without Ellie?!" Alan whispered to Ian.

"Means she is here somewhere. This place is crawling with guards. We need to be smart about this." Ian said, looking at Alan trying to keep his head cool.

"There is a Staff Only room over there. If we get in there, I bet we can find some uniforms. That way we hopefully won't be seen." Alan said checking if the coast is clear.

"Well it's better than nothing I guess, come on." Ian said slowly making his way to the staff room.

Ellie was inside the room panicking. She was desperately trying to figure a way out of the room. She went to the window and saw a guard on patrol. She was a long way up in the building and even the lower ledge below the window would still make the jump difficult.

Suddenly the door burst open. Ellie froze as she saw two guards enter. Without thinking she grabbed the trash can and hit one of the guards over the head with it. The second guard was closing the door. She ran up to the guard.

"Ellie!" Ian shouted in defence.

Ellie froze. She realised it was Alan and Ian in disguise. Realising who the first guard was she ran over to him.

"Alan?! Oh my god I'm so sorry! Are you ok?" Ellie said as she took his face mask off.

"Good to see you still pack a punch" Alan laughed rubbing his head.

Ellie hugged Alan. He held her tightly. He was so relieved she was ok.

"I was so worried about you! Mark said he was sending you both to the Rex paddock. Are you ok? Ian I'm really sorry. How did you both know I was here?" Ellie couldn't stop herself, everything was coming out of her at once.

"Well if you let us talk we will tell you." Ian laughed as he looked through the window to keep a lookout for any danger.

"Teamwork really." Alan said smiling.

"You two? Teamwork?" Ellie raised her eyebrows at Alan, she was amazed he seemed to be warming to Ian after all this time.

"Ellie, my dear Ellie you would be surprised at what people can do together when they have too." Ian smilied to her.

Alan looked at Ellie. It was then he noticed the red mark across her face. He gently touched her face.

"Mark?"

Ellie looked at Alan and nodded. She couldn't bring herself to say it.

"I'll kill him!" Alan clenched his first again. He needed to get his anger out.

"Alan, look at me. I'm fine, see. It's just a mark he can't hurt me. He tried and failed. Look, we need to get out of here please." Ellie said, handing Alan the face mask back.

"Ellie has a point, we can get out here, but we need to leave now!" Ian said, putting his mask back on.

"Right. Ellie, follow us, we can get out but we need to be quick ok." Alan put his mask on and led Ellie to the door.

The three left the room and walked down the stairs. They passed a guard on the stairs.

"What's this? She is meant to be contained!" The guard looked at them.

"Yeah Mark radioed. He doesn't want her left alone with the two Doctors free in the forest. He ordered us to bring her to him. So we are." Ian said confidently.

The lie worked and they left the building into a jeep that was parked nearby.

"I'll drive." Ian said getting into the drivers seat Alan and Ellie got in the back

"Put your foot down quick before they radio Mark!" Ellie said as she fastened her seatbelt.

Ian sped off down a dirt track.

"We need to figure out where exactly we are; it's hopeless otherwise." Ian said as he was driving.

"Alan, look here." Ellie pointed to a box poking out from the driver's seat.

Alan quickly pulled the box on the seat and opened it. He found 4 flares, 3 gas grenades and a flare gun with 3 shots.

"Take these, they will come in handy" Alan said, passing them to Ellie.

"A map!" Ellie said as she pulled it out. She handed it to Ian.

Ian slowed down and pulled up in some trees to read the map.

"Look there's the control centre" Ellie pointed on the map.

"Looks like it's located north of here." Alan said, looking at Ian and Ellie.

"Right we head for the control centre, we might be able to get some answers and try and shut this hell hole down." Ian replied as he folded the map.

The three got back into the jeep. And headed for the control centre.
