Have courage and be kind.
Over all else, she remembered those words.
Losing herself didn't matter when it came to that promise.
Everything she was and would become, would be for them.
Silence was all she got back, though.
Yet she kept going and trying.
"Airhead" and "idiotic pig" were usually what she got in response, but she paid no mind.
It was okay.
Their words were probably true.
To Star Sirius, especially when it came to herself, nothing was ever good enough. But she tried her best. Yes, her very best. Star sold her soul to treating others with kindness, and being able to stay courageous through the unrelenting rage she got in return. But again, she paid no mind. Everyone had their own struggles and pain, so who was she to add to the burning fire?
Be kind even to the rudest of people.
Be kind to even the cruelest of people.
Be kind to even the shrewdest of people.
Because, those types of people probably needed it the most.
Star saw the best in people, even when all they showed her was disgust.
Yet.. she also had the courage to speak against those who hurt others. She wanted to protect them all, and make sure they never went through the horrible experiences she did. Star would protect them with all her being. With her words, with her hand, and maybe even with a shovel, Star Sirius would make a difference using the most powerful weapon she had.
Her smile.
