Chapter 5: Wolf Behavior
Lisa
One by one the wolves from the other pack sniffed me. Not once did I ever feel like I was in danger though. It felt as though they were welcoming me into their pack so to speak. I wondered what they were thinking.
I knew that members of my pack were not as comfortable with these strange newcomers as I was. In fact Greyson would order me to come back if he could. Maybe if we could hear what they were thinking everyone would be a bit at ease.
I tore away from the new wolf pack and ran back to my own. The other wolf pack never took their eyes off of us.
Not knowing what else to do I went back into the den to check on my pups. The rest of my pack quickly followed me in. My pups laid beside me and began to nurse.
The other wolf pack left shortly after the encounter. They hadn't gone very far though. We could still hear them close by.
"I wonder what they want," Greyson said.
"Yeah it's strange that we can't hear what they are thinking," Delilah added.
"I was thinking about that earlier and I might have a theory," I added.
"That maybe we can only hear other members of our own pack?" Henry asked.
"We heard and honestly it kind of makes sense," Jeremy said.
I shook my head. "There's still so much that we don't know about all of this. If these wolves are like us, and I truly believe that they are, then maybe they can teach us,"
"How do you know that they are trustworthy?" Greyson asked.
"I think if they wanted to hurt us they would have done so already. They outnumbered us and when I approached them they didn't act hostile towards us,"
"It makes me anxious that we can't hear what they are thinking," he said. "If we could just hear what their true intentions are I would feel much more at ease,"
"Well there is only one way to find out what their true intentions are. We're going to have to talk to them as humans,"
I lamented on that thought. It had been many months since I last stood on two legs. I had grown so used to being just a wolf. That also meant that I would have to leave my pups alone. That scared me. I wondered again whether one day they would be able to make the change.
I sighed. When my pups were finished eating they decided to climb all over me. I could feel them chewing on my ears. Greyson laughed clearly amused by my predicament. He was lucky I loved him if not I'd bite him for laughing at me.
"Oh please you would never bite me," he laid down right next to me. His warm body was pressed up against mine.
I growled playfully. "Don't try me,"
We went to sleep shortly after that. When I woke up it looked like the sun had only just risen. I got up slowly and walked outside to look for a place to relieve myself.
Since the pups were still asleep I decided to stay outside for awhile. The air still smelled fresh. The wind carried with it the scents belonging to those wolves in the other wolf pack. They were close by still. Today we would talk to them and find out more about these wolves and hopefully about ourselves as well.
My heart started beating fast. I had been anxious for the moment that I would find out more about this werewolf mess since I became a werewolf all those months ago.
I very vividly remembered how obessed we all became in researching werewolf folklore. All that came up in my Google searches were stupid movies. Even going to the library was little help. Nothing came close to accurately describing what we were all going through.
It was really frustrating and scary not having anyone to explain these things to us. I jumped a little when I felt a cold wet nose nudge me. I stared into the loving eyes of my mate. I'd been so wrapped up in my own thoughts that I hadn't even noticed that he was awake.
"When you weren't there when I woke up I thought I'd come and check on you," he licked my face. I licked his face back.
It was rare for the two of us to be alone in these days. Sometimes I really missed those days. He licked my face again and I licked him back affectionately.
Our wolf instincts began to kick in and I wanted him right then and there. He mounted me and soon we were mating again like the animals that we were. I could feel his every thrust inside of me. I felt nothing but pure pleasure.
It was perfection and I reviled in the moment. I closed my eyes and just allowed myself to feel every sensation. Every ounce of pleasure that Greyson gave me. As irrational as it was I wanted time to freeze. I didn't want the moment to end.
I only opened my eyes again when I heard a noise. The sound of another animal approaching us. I ignored it.
It wasn't until I saw the forms of several wolves, the other wolf pack, walking toward us. An expression of absolute mortification appeared on the red wolf's face. The lone female also had a look of absolute shock on her face. The other wolves watched us.
Greyson didn't seem to care that we had an audience. In fact he was humping me much harder and faster than before which I was thoroughly enjoying.
The red wolf growled angrily and ran toward us. Greyson got off of me quickly but of course we stuck together! It looked like we were dancing around as we tried to get unstuck and separate. But it was impossible! Damn wolf biology!
Then the lone gray female charged right toward the red wolf and crashed right into him knocking him off of his feat. She growled at him angrily. I wondered what the hell had just happened.
Please let me know what you think.
