Middle of The Night

In Michigan, a red portal opened up near a forest, not long after appearing, four figures came out from the portal. Even though they look human at first glance from the darkness, they were in fact demons from hell itself. three of the four that were carrying weapons are Imps, known as the weakest Hellborns of Hell's ranking. The tallest of the Imps, boss and founder of the Immediate Murder Professionals or I.M.P. for short, is Blitzo, he likes the o in his name silent. The two Imps with Blitzo are the married couple and employees of I.M.P. Moxxie and Millie. While not an Imp, the one that's with the three is a Hellhound, another Hellborn in the same level as the Imps but slightly above them, Loona, the adopted daughter of Blitzo and Receptionist of I.M.P.

"Ok, remember what the client wants." Began Blitzo, who was talking to Moxxie and Millie while Loona hangs out in the back, leaning against a tree, looking down at her phone. "We're here to locate the targets, follow them home, sneak our way in, kill them, and make it look like some fucked up suicide." He then raised a brow. "You two got all that? Because I'm not repeating it again."

He gets a nod from Millie who's welding her combat knife, while her husband looks back at the forest they walked out of, making Blitzo grin as he looks off into the distance. "Good! Now, let's-" He's then interrupted by Moxxie. "Uh...Sir?" Blitzo gave a sigh and turned to face him. "What is it Moxxie? Gettin' cold balls again?" He asked with a grin, having annoyed Moxxie who disregarded his question and tells him. "You're ignoring a probable hazard that could do damage to more than just our mission."

"Probable hazard? What probable hazard?" In response to Blitzo's clueless question, Moxxie simply moves and points his suppressed pistol towards the portal they just came through, left open, leading right to their department in hell, I.M.P. "Oh, that. Well, that won't be a problem." Blitzo shook his head with a grin, confusing Moxxie, who requested. "Care to clarify, Sir?"

Blitzo looks back at him with a grin. "Gladly." He then explains to him and Millie who was also interested. "You see, there's a limited-time figurine on sale that I've had my eye on all day. And fortunately, the client's willing to pay us handsomely, more than what it's worth. So, I decided to make this mission as short yet sweet as possible." He looks over at Loona. "Loona." She glances up from her phone, looking uninterested. "Guard the portal, make sure nobody comes in or out unless I say so."

"Whatever." Loona shrugged, looking back at her phone. "That's my Looney." Said Blitzo with a smile, however, Moxxie wasn't impressed. Before he could express his concerns about Loona guarding the portal, Blitzo shouts. "Now let's go kill that shitty couple!" As he goes on ahead, Moxxie sighs before being comforted by his wife as she's rubbing his back while resting her combat knife on her shoulder. "Don't worry much, Mox, I'm sure we'll be fine. Even if Loona doesn't guard it I don't think anyone would be around here this late at night."

Moxxie smiled at his wife knowing now she's telling him the truth. The portal they opened up is far from civilization in the state of Michigan, not only that, it's midnight, nobody comes out here at this time. "You're right." Millie smiled at Moxxie who she tells. "Now, let's catch up to Blitz before he starts without us." With that, the two run off after their boss, which Loona noticed and gave a smile. "Finally, some peace and quiet." She mumbled to herself before looking back at her phone, looking up random videos, posts from others online in hell, even playing with some cheesy yet enjoyable gaming apps.

20 Minutes Later

"I'm so bored..." Loona thought. It hasn't been a half-hour and already the Hellhound's becoming tired of standing here, guarding the only way back to where she's more comfortable at. With a sigh she looks up at the night sky, wondering what to do now to pass the time. "Hm...Maybe I could-" Then her ears flinched at the sound of something tumbling down a hill with soft yet painful thuds nearby before ending with a rustle of leaves, gaining the Hellhound's attention. "What the hell?"

Looking back at the portal and then the direction of the sound, Loona puts her phone in her pocket and goes to investigate the cause. "I swear if it's a dead dog tossed away like junk-" She stopped her thoughts upon hearing groans coming from the same direction, they sounded innocent and youthful. Knowing this now, Loona got on all four's and started running towards the source, stopping when she heard the groan again. She looked around before spotting a silhouette lying on top of a bush.

"There it is...Wait..." Loona gets a closer look and sees that it's not a dog, but a human boy. What she could determine from his scent, height, and appearance he's between the ages of 10 to 12 years old. He had freckles on his face mostly around his cheeks. He was wearing a red shirt, black pants, and red shoes. But the most noticeable thing about him was his hair as it was white as snow itself. Yes while Loona had seen mostly those who have dyed their hair a certain color, she could tell his hair was natural, it doesn't have that dye aroma.

However, besides his clothes, freckles, and hair, Loona can tell just he was hurt. Other than the smell of iron, his hair looked unkempt with some leaves and twigs sticking out from it, parts of his clothes were ripped, likely from the bushes and the trees he may have rolled past on the way down, and from the ripped holes and exposed skin she can see cuts and bruises all over him.

"What the fuck?" Loona sits on one of her knees and grabs the boy's shoulder. "Hey, kid...You ok?" She shakes him a little, but he wasn't waking up or even responding with a groan. Showing some concern for the child, the Hellhound leans down and sniffs his face, getting a scent of his soul still lingering in his body. "He's still alive." She thought before looking around and listening for anyone that could be nearby, maybe family or friends, but there's nothing, no talking, no body odor, no footsteps, not even the sound of a vehicle taking off. She then looked back down at the unconscious boy.

Usually, when Loona sees someone unconscious in hell or even the living world she would just ignore and leave them there without giving a damn, but...she's not doing that this time. This wasn't some random demon or sinner, this was a child, a child with good still left in him. "I...I can't leave him like this..." Realizing what she said, she growled and yelled at herself. "Fuck, why do I even care!?" Loona then picks the boy up by biting down on the back of his shirt before standing up and sprinting back to the portal on her two feet until she reached it.

"Teere ii is...Hm?" Noticing her speech impediment Loona looked at her mouth to see she was holding the boy by the collar of his shirt. This made her blush, she didn't realize until now that she was carrying the child with her mouth. She places him in her arms carefully, faces away to spit out the taste of cloth from her tongue, and runs into the portal to head back to I.M.P.

The I.M.P. Department

Back at work, Loona carries the unconscious boy out of the meeting room right into the waiting room, where she works as the Receptionist. Looking at one of the two doors on the left side, Loona goes to the one on the left that says, Loona's Room. Opening it, it's revealed to be somewhat of a bedroom built inside of the I.M.P. Department. Placing the boy on her queen-sized bed, Loona leaves the room and quickly goes to her desk.

"There's gotta be a med-kit here somewhere. I know Blitz gave me one in case of emergencies." She opens another drawer and moves the supplies that're in it to reveal the med-kit. "There it is!" She grabs the kit and then attempts to open the zipper, but it proves to be difficult. "Come, fucking, on!" She then growls. "Screw it!" She then yanks the zipper, ripping it off, opening the bag, which she brings back to her room, and placing it next to the unconscious boy.

"Ok kid, this'll be done long before you wake up...That's if the pain doesn't wake you." Loona then takes out the items she needs to treat his injuries such as aloe, healing ointment, sterile wipes, a cold pack, scissors, and bandages, both normal and elastic. Once she got out the things she needed Loona began to help out the boy.

Three Hours Later

Long after Loona treated the damage to the kid's body, he started to wake from his sleep, his eyes slowly open up with a groan as low as a whisper. He then sits up carefully, noticing the pain throughout his body, especially on the top of his head, which is cold. "Oww..." He touches the top of his head, right where the pain is, and feels a cold pack there, which he rubs gently on the spot as he sits up.

"Huh...?" He looks around and notices he was in a bedroom he's not familiar with. The walls are a midnight blue, the carpet's a gray color, as for furniture there's a coffee table, two small tables on both sides of the bed holding lamps, a cabinet, a TV, a ceiling fan, a mini-fridge, even a bathroom with a shower and everything. "W-Where am I?" The boy asked himself and gets a response. "You're in my room kid."

This spooked the boy. "Ah!" He then looks to see what appears to be an anthropomorphic female wolf leaning against the wall holding a magazine. She's tall and has sharp teeth, a snout, ears, claws, and a white and gray bushy tail like a wolf. She also has red eyes with white irises, and white & gray...Skin? Looking closely the boy can see that it's indeed skin, except her tail and white hair, not only that, her legs look normal too. He also sees her attire, a gray crop top with strings above her breast that shape an upside-down pentagram, shorts with a crescent moon on the right side, both of which are scarcely ripped at the fringes. She's also wearing a black choker with spikes, black fingerless gloves, and black toeless stockings, technically leaving her barefoot.

"You alright?" She asked, looking at him, but the boy didn't answer. "You were left in the woods, what happened to you?" She asked again yet annoyed, but instead of an answer the boy, out of fear from her tone and red glowing eyes, hid under the covers, making her raise a brow. In seconds, he peeks out from the covers, looking at the wolf and also his surroundings again. "W-W-Who are you?" Loona walks over to the kid, earning a frightened gasp as he thinks she might hurt him. To his surprise, though, she leans forward, carefully takes the covers off of him, and sniffs the top of his head.

After doing that, she informs the boy. "Good...Your body temperatures are normal again, that bump on your head is finally going down, and that ointment I gave you is making your bruises fade." She then grabs his arm with care and begins unwrapping the elastic bandage to look at his cuts to see if they're healing too. While doing that she tells him. "My name is Loona, I'm a Hellhound. And you?" Loona asked, unaware that the boy was blushing a little as he has a better look at her shorts and crop top, which hugged her figure and was a bit revealing.

"I-I'm...Lincoln?" He thinks for a moment and nods, ensuring that's his name. "Yes...Lincoln. A-And I..." He paused, discovering he has no memory of the past of his life. "And I...I Can't remember anything else about myself...I remember only my name." Lincoln said in all honesty, which Loona groaned at after wrapping his arm back up. The Hellhound knew this was a possibility after discovering that bump on Lincoln's head, she thinks to herself. "Ok...Bringing him back to wherever he came from is out of the question."

Loona looks at Lincoln and tells him. "Well...Stay here for as long as you want...If I care." She sits down on her bed right beside Lincoln while looking at her phone to watch some videos. Looking at the boy she sees that he's covered himself again hiding under the bedsheets, which made her roll her eyes. "I'm not going to eat you or anything. Just relax, alright?" She told Lincoln, getting a nod from him as he pokes his head out of the covers while looking around the room. "Where am I?" He asked Loona, to which she sighs a little.

"Ok, you're in my lounge inside of I.M.P., where I work." Lincoln raised a brow. "I.M.P.?" He asked, getting a nod from Loona. "Yes, it's a business in hell where we-" The boy cuts her off in fright. "Hell? I'm dead?!" This confused Loona. "What? No! I found you in the woods wounded and out cold. I didn't want to leave you there, so I brought you here and treated your wounds. I...I just couldn't leave you there."

Hearing that, Lincoln sighed in relief. "That's a relief...Wait, if you're a Hellhound, why are you helping me?" He asked, earning an eye roll from Loona. "As I said, I just couldn't leave you there." She then stands up, looking a little annoyed, and walks to her bathroom. "Look...I don't have time for this. I'm going to take a shower." Stopping, holding the door, she looks at him. "Listen, kid, if you're hungry, go to the kitchen. Just because I saved you, doesn't mean I'll be giving you special treatment." With that, she slams the door shut, leaving Lincoln alone on the bed.

After looking around again, remembering his surroundings he then felt his stomach growl and rubbed it. "Man, I'm hungry." He thought, carefully getting out of bed due to still feeling sore, before walking over to the door leading out of the room. Pulling it open he leaves Loona's bedroom, closing the door behind him to help give her privacy. Lincoln was about to locate the kitchen until he noticed the windows along with the red hue outside, which brought interest to him.

"Huh...Why's everything red?" Yes, while Lincoln had lost the memories of his identity, he still remembers a couple of common things, one of which was that the sky is usually blue, not red. Curious, he goes over to the window and looks out from it for a moment, suddenly he's shocked...Well...Surprised for the most part. Back on Earth, he overheard from locals, who he can't remember the names of or what they even look like, that the underworld was a place of hellfires and molten lava where the cruel are forced to face their past sins and endure eternal torment. But instead from what he sees now, hell's nearly identical to the cities he's seen on Earth, largely the ones you'd find on the bad side of town.

"Is hell as bad as they say it is?" Lincoln thought, tilting his head a little before witnessing something he thought he would never see. Within seconds, almost every single thing that's considered a crime in the living world happened simultaneously: Gunfights, mugging, robbery, destruction, drugs, and all types of assault.

Murder's possible too, but it was hard for Lincoln to tell, he could see some of these sinners and demons somehow survive from both bullet wounds and stab wounds, that had hit them almost everywhere. Having seen enough, Lincoln backed away from the window and continues to locate the kitchen, all while in his thoughts, trying to forget what he witnessed. "Well...That proves it...I'm in hell."

Minutes Later

Done with her shower, Loona steps out of it wrapping a towel around her hair before leaning forward on her sink, looking at her reflection in the mirror. "Can't believe I'm helping that little brat." She thought while getting another towel to wrap it around her body, upon doing that she grabbed her phone and walked out of the bathroom, noticing that Lincoln wasn't in her bedroom. "Huh. He's probably in the kitchen..." She then smiled. "Good, privacy." With that thought on her mind, Loona loosens the towel around her body and lets it drop on the floor, leaving her naked body exposed as she stretched.

"Much better." Stepping out of the towel around her feet, the Hellhound walks over and opens the cabinet to get her clothes, as she places her phone on top of the cabinet, something comes to her mind. "Hm, was it a good idea to tell that kid to make his own food? I mean, Blitz did say yesterday he was going to prep up for missions by..." Recalling what her dad said he'll do, Loona's eyes widened. "Oh, fuck!" She shouted, running out of the room in alarm, thinking Lincoln might get hurt again or worse.

Meanwhile

Lincoln's at the kitchen table, eating the dinner he cooked until the door was kicked open, revealing Loona, shocking him. "Kid! Stop before you...Get...Hurt?" She was able to see now that Lincoln was at the small dining table eating what he made. While glad to see he's fine, Loona looks around the kitchen until she spotted the weapons Blitzo put in the kitchen were still in place, where the utensils are.

"That's...Surprising." She thought before catching a pleasing aroma in the air, which made her mouth water at how delicious it smells. Looking at Lincoln she couldn't help but ask. "Hey, what did you make? It smells so...Good." She admitted, walking over to him with a smile, which then faded when he didn't answer her. "Uhh...Kid? I asked you a...Question?"

She noticed now that Lincoln's face was all red and his pupils had shrunk. "Ok...Why's your face...Oh..." Looking down at herself she was able to see why. "Ooh, crap!" She thought, blushing red too as she was completely naked right in front of him. Immediately reacting, Loona covered her chest with her hands and pelvis with her tail by wrapping around it. She then runs back to her bedroom to change into her clothes.

"Dammit! Why didn't I get dressed before running out to check on him?!" She scolded herself in thoughts while dressing into a fresh pair of clothes, those being her crop top and shorts along with her choker, fingerless gloves, and toeless stockings. "Okay...What's the time now?" Grabbing her phone from the top of her cabinet and looks at the time to see that it's been almost 4 hours since Blitzo, Moxxie, and Millie went off on their mission. "It's almost midnight? Blitzo said it was going to be a short and sweet mission. When will they be back?!" She thought, having hoped they come back soon so she could explain the situation with Lincoln.

10 Minutes Later

Walking back into the kitchen dressed, Loona looks at Lincoln angrily. "Listen, kid, you better forget what you saw or..." She stopped, noticing a second plate right next to him, confusing her. "Ok...Why do you have two plates?" The boy looked up at her and answered. "Oh, well since you were hungry, I made extra." He motions his hand towards the dish. "It's Alfredo Pasta. I had to melt some butter and Parmesan together to make the Alfredo sauce." He explained as Loona looked at him surprised, even blushing and wagging her tail a little but she snapped out of it, giving him a serious look.

"When did you learn how to cook? And how did you know I was hungry?" Loona asks with arms crossed as Lincoln shook his head. "I'm not really sure? ...I just knew how." He then smiled answering her 2nd question. "Oh, and your stomach was growling when you came here...Bare." The boy blushed a little, earning a light growl from Loona since she asked him to forget that, but to her surprise, he wasn't fazed like he was earlier. Lincoln walked over to her and held her hand, leading her to the dining table. "Come on, let's eat before the food gets cold!"

This now surprises Loona more. Usually, a growl like hers would scare someone. "Uh...ok?" Her blush reappeared again when she spoke, taking a seat in front of the table with Lincoln sitting next to her before continuing to eat. But as he eats, Loona stared at him for a bit, deep in her thoughts. "This is just...Weird, he doesn't seem to be afraid of me anymore..." The Hellhound then looked at the dish in front of her. "And he made me dinner?" Giving it a sniff, she smiled a little, getting a better scent of the Alfredo. "It's...Sweet." Loona then glances at Lincoln, looking at the buck teeth in his smile, the freckles on his cheeks, and the shine of his white hair.

"He's so cute...Whoa, what the hell?!" Loona realized she did it again. Why are her thoughts wandering off from not caring for the human boy to caring for him? She groaned and shouts at herself in thought. "Stop thinking about that!" The Hellhound then started eating her food angrily. After finishing her recent bit, she had to be honest, this Alfredo Pasta Lincoln made has to be the best food she ever had in years. It put a smile on her face as she now started eating happily. Noticing this, Lincoln smiled at her and went back to eating.

Later

After finishing dinner and heading back to the office, Loona was on her phone, soon looking away from it to stare at the portal. Seeing Blitzo, Moxxie, nor Millie coming back through or appearing from the other side, she sighed. "Looks like they won't be back until later." She should've known this would happen. Walking out of the room, the Hellhound made her way to her room. When she opened the door, she saw Lincoln already fast asleep on one side of her bed, likely to help speed his recovery. Now normally, she'd kill whoever dares to lay in her bed, but...For some reason, she didn't. Walking over to the boy, she looked at him, seeing how peacefully he slept.

"Huh..." She thought as her lips gradually formed into a smile. "He really is cute." Going to the door, she closed it and then removed her top along with her thigh-high stockings. While topless, she decided it was best to leave her shorts on since Lincoln's in her room, and doesn't want another accident like before to happen again. Stepping over to her cabinet, Loona opened a drawer and pulled out a black nightdress before putting it on, letting the dress part go down, reaching her thighs.

Walking to the bed, Loona lays down next to Lincoln. With her head resting on a pillow, she closes her eyes and falls asleep as well. Within a minute or two she felt some movement and then physical contact with her body. "Hm?" Opening her eyes, she looks to see that Lincoln was snuggling close in her arms since she was laying on her side. Wondering why he was snuggling so close to her, she noticed he was shaking in his sleep, seemingly cold. Knowing this wouldn't stop, Loona rolled her eyes.

"Can't believe I'm doing this." Loona thought as she wrapped her tail around Lincoln and held him close in her arms, letting him snuggle close to her, causing him to nuzzle his head into her chest, causing her to smile a bit. "Goodnight, Lincoln." Loona kissed the top of his head before slowly falling back to sleep.

4 Hours Later

Snoring softly in bed, Loona was lying on her back, while Lincoln laid on top of her, both remained clung to each other as they sleep peacefully...That came to an end for Loona as she heard the voice of an excited Blitzo in the other room. "Good news Loona, the mission was a success!" She then sees the knob of her door shake.

"The target's dead, the client paid us, and I got my Horse Figurine in the nick of time!" He then opened the door with his eyes closed. "Even though M&M went home for the night, I was thinking we could celebrate by ordering take..." Blitzo opened his eyes and is surprised to see his daughter in bed cuddling close with what looks to be a young Sinner. "Oh! Uh...Didn't think you were that desperate Looney."

AN: We'd like to make it clear the Oc in this story, Lincoln isn't a character from other cartoons. Having certain distinguishing features, age, or first name doesn't automatically imply they're the same character. Besides the red and black clothing, Lincoln doesn't have a family and has a human build like the humans in the world of Helluva Boss.
