"Here is a copy of Corporal Gladius' file and records." Tsubaki handed a data pad to Yuu as they sat in her office. "The Director originally only had one copy which was provided to me, but considering that Corporal Gladius had been assigned into your unit, Director Sakaki also wanted you to get a closer look on the Corporal's previous records." Tsubaki stated with Yuu paying close attention while looking through a series of records on the data pad, each separated from biography, former profession and current status as a god eater.
Yuu's eyes blinked for a moment. Then looking at Tsubaki, he cleared his throat and began. "Ma'am... Can I ask a question?" Yuu slowly asked. Tsubaki gave no second thoughts and crisply replied. "Ask away, Captain." Tsubaki replied with a gesturing hand.
"Um... On one file record: It mentions that Gladius served as a regular soldier... At age 15..." Yuu reluctantly began. Tsubaki stated at him for a moment before giving a slow nod. "Yes. He did..." Tsubaki replied and continued. "... Based on his records; Before Corporal Gladius became a god eater, he enlisted. Of course, you wouldn't be able to do just that in to old world, but considering the world that we live in now, and to note the fact that this is the Philippine Branch that the Corporal came from - He was a reservist, and had a couple of deployments in the former country, as part of the defense forces of the regular military of the Fenrir Philippine Branch." Tsubaki paused as she gave Yuu some time to process everything that she said before continuing.
"... Detailing about the Corporal's deployment, he was to partake with regular military duties of the Branch in regards to... Dealing with organized bands of armed humans. I am sure you are already aware that not everyone can be granted access sanction within Fenrir's walls, Captain..." Tsubaki said on a very serious tone. Yuu reluctantly nodded. Not everyone can be given entry to live under the protection of Fenrir, unless they are tested positive as compatible to become god eaters, and as for the ordinary people that tested negative, would not be allowed, unless if they were relatives of god eaters, or authorized Fenrir personnel alike. Yuu had the hardest time on trying to accept that as a fact ever since he's learned about it...
"And that is why... People... Band against the Fenrir Philippine Branch... Because they want in... Or some of them, only want resources like food, weaponry... Necessities to survive..." Yuu quietly said, with Tsubaki giving a nod. "Indeed, Captain." Tsubaki replied and continued. "And in retaliation to this, is that the Fenrir Philippine Branch was resorting into brutal ways of combating with human extremists, bandits, etc..."
Yuu looked at the Major in confusion as she continued. "Fenrir HQ had decreased the budget of the Philippine Branch, despite it being a relatively small branch itself. The reason to this is because the Philippine Branch not only train regular soldiers to hunt down and neutralize human extremists. - They also train their god eaters. Whether they be Old-Type or New-Type... To do the same thing, apart from dealing with aragami..." Tsubaki class her eyes for a moment. "... You could likely say that Corporal Gladius was trained to kill not only aragami, but humans as well, even as a god eater. From what we've gathered so far about the Philippine Branch: They remain a stable, small Branch, despise their budget cuts. They also disregard the demands of Fernir HQ to answer for their commitments of training god eaters to execute humans aside from Aragami. Several violations here and there, and their Branch Director focusing on the Branch operations further more on human extremists, than aragami."
Yuu was speechless. Does this imply that Gladius had already killed... People? Humans..? Yuu didn't said a word. He reluctantly acknowledged everything that Tsubaki said while reading another file of Gladius, detailing a bit more, personal information. "So Corporal Gladius was a foster child... Of an Old-Type god eater." Yuu suddenly said a little loud, making Tsubaki nod.
"Artyom Ivanov. Late Old-Type god eater from the Russia Branch, transferred to the Philippine Branch about nine years ago, according to his own provided file within the file of Corporal Gladius." Tsubaki replied, gaining Yuu's attention. "Late Old-Type..?" Yuu slowly asked. Tsubaki looked a little uncomfortable for a moment before reluctantly responding. "He was killed in action by a new type of aragami last year. The same day when Corporal Gladius finally became a god eater... Records about his foster father's stated: that the armlet of Artyom Ivanov, was still ending out signals from within the Aragami that took his life. There were also no traces of him, aside from his severed hand, and it's highly possible that Artyom's god arc was also devoured, as it had unfortunately not been recovered..."
Yuu nodded as he listened while reading on another file. But Tsubaki suddenly muttered. "This case about the Corporal's foster father exactly feels like last year... About Lindow's armlet, and supposed 'killer'..." Yuu looked at the Major for a moment, but he didn't said a thing aside from one. "Do you think there's a chance that... We might encounter that specific Aragami, Major..?"
Tsubaki took a moment before responding. "We don't know for sure, Captain... But considering the ever mutation of the Aragami, then I would say that it's very likely we may be about to encounter whatever type of Aragami that was that took Artyom Ivanov's life..." Yuu was speechless, and his eyes could only gaze down at the profiles of the late Artyom Ivanov, and his Forster son, Gladius Morales...
Gladius Morales: (17 y.o)
Joined Fenrir Philippine Branch in 2071.
Born: July 4. Height: 180 cm
Formerly assigned in the Philippines Branch, Hellcat Division 1: Exterminator Division. Transferred to the Russia Branch for 'Personal Business' and was assigned in the Russia Branch 1st Defense Unit. Currently assigned in the Far East Branch 1st Unit Retaliation Squad. Current rank: Corporal.
Born from a family of wealth in the Philippine region; Gladius' fate was altered from taking after his family's businesses after a tragic incident which involved a Deusphage aragami type of the Tezpocatlica - putting the Morales family name to extinction, with the exception of Gladius.
He was saved by the late Captain Artyom Ivanov of the Philippine Branch 1st Unit Retaliation Squad, and was then cared for as a foster child. Gladius shortly became a reservist in the small, regular military of the Philippine Branch, but was quickly decommissioned after Gladius tested positive as compatible to become a New-Type God Eater.
Last year: Gladius exiled himself from the Philippine Branch, and made an excuse to transfer into the Russia Branch due to 'Personal Business' and was given permission to serve the latter for the duration of the year. There were rumors that Gladius was guilty, and in denial about his final god eater mission in the Philippine Branch, which involved hunting down, and exterminating a 'Religious Cult' of zealots, which had been reported to have plotted and targeted to ambush a group of rookie god eaters, fresh out of training. Their god arcs were stolen, but were retrieved by Corporal Gladius, after a brutal execution on an old church. Another rumor passed: was that Corporal Gladius was travelling to Russia, chasing after a specific, New-Type aragami, whom slain late Captain Artyom Ivanov, whom the latter, was also leading the batch of rookie god eaters, the day the 'Religious Cult' launched their ambush. The ambush was a massacre on both sides, and the news was never released in the public.
Either which - Corporal Gladius has chosen to transfer into the Far East Branch next for his 'Personal Business'.

Yuu was feeling mixed with emotions... A tragic past for a person. But who hasn't gone through tragic pasts? Having a childhood without tragedies was considered luck, and miracle by many... Gladius was just unfortunate to be on the list of the many people with tragic backstories... But did Gladius really took lives of other people? Yuu felt shuddering at the thought... And then his god arc... He hasn't seen Gladius' god arc. Yuu was intrigued by the god arc load out, and the names that Gladius gave. It was intriguing because the long blade was a chainsaw variant... Could it be the same as Federico's Voltaic Chainsaw? Or Lindow's Old-Type chainsaw? And the names that Gladius had given, strangely felt like Gladius was viewing his god arc differently. Either as a special part of himself, as a god eater, or as a sort of neglected burden... Yuu was curious, but then his attention was gained by Artyom's profile...

Joined Fenrir Russia Branch in 2060.

Formerly assigned in the Russia Branch Retaliation Squad, Artyom, Sergeant Master at the time, transferred in the Fenrir Philippine Branch, as he had heard the training simulations and operations within the region were greatly different from the Russia Branch. Artyom would serve the Philippine Branch for the next nine years, and along the way would attain the rank of Captain of the 1st Unit Retaliation Squad. By the year of 2065, Artyom would be deployed on a mission to take down a Deusphage variant of the Tezpocatlica, whom was reported to have terrorized a major part of the outer ghetto, specifically within the wealthy section of the outer ghetto itself. Artyom would then rescue a 10 y.o survivor from a wealthy family name Gladius Morales, whom Artyom, feeling sorry for, takes under his wing as a foster child.
Artyom's final deployment would be by the start of the first month of 2071, where he was tasked to lead a batch of rookie god eaters, all fresh out of training, to their first mission, which was to take down a horde of orgetails. This mission: 'Hopeless Void' would result into an unexpected, and well calculated ambush from a 'Religious Cult' whom Artyom and his charge of rookie god eaters, would be forced to retaliate to, until both sides would be interrupted by a large aragami in the size of a Hannibal, but was far distinct from the latter. Either the religious cult had killed all god eaters, or the New-Type aragami, it was unknown, and was only left for speculation. The god arcs of all fallen god eaters during mission 'Hopeless Void' were all stolen by the cult for unknown intentions, but was fortunately recovered by Corporal Gladius Morales. Artyom Ivanov's god arc, was unfortunately never found - but his armlet was reported to have been relaying signals from a large unidentified aragami, which had been reported to have been running rampant in the Russian Region.

Kanon felt nervous. She always was a nervous type, but never when meeting new people. The same way she felt when she first met Yuu, Kota, and Alisa each. She offered a sincere smile toward Gladius before introducing herself. "I... I am.. Kanon Daiba... I'm the 2nd Defense Unit's medic..."
Alisa chuckled before waking over to Kanon. "Hey, it's okay. You're doing fine, Kanon." Alisa offered a genuine smile.
Gladius have a polite nod. "Gladius Morales, Corporal. I am former Hellcat Division 1, Exterminator Division. Nice to meet you, Miss Daiba -" Gladius paused, which he then heard Sakuya giggling, as well as Lindow and Kota chuckling in unison. "... Kanon, I mean. Nice to meet you..." Gladius awkwardly added.
Kota , looking very enthusiastic, suddenly stepped in to interrupt." Yo, dude, how about you share us what you did back when to were at your former Branch!? The Philippine Branch I mean! Also, did you say 'exterminator'!? Whoa, that's gotta be like... Exterminating powerful aragami, right!?"
Alisa glared at Kota. "Kota! You're invading his personal space..!" Alisa looked at Gladius and offered an apologetic smile. "I'm very sorry about Kota here, Gladius. But he's just very friendly towards people, plus, it's been a year since we've received Anett and Federico. They're New-Type god eaters as well."
Gladius, plastered a smile. It wasn't genuine, not sincere, but rather one out of uneasiness. "It's fine, Alisa... Just... Please just take it easy on the questions, but I will answer to the best of my abilities."
No matter how Alisa tries to excuse Kota's childish behavior, Gladius was still bombarded with questions. It almost seems like interrogation, bit done on a very poor, and comedic way, my Kota, and even Lindow, who was very interested on Gladius, slaying two prithvi mata, while Soma, just silently sat in the couch, but was also listening with interest.
Kanon was standing with the group, bit she was frozen, and seemingly spaced out. She couldn't look away form those piercing red eyes of Gladius... "My... Getting awestruck here, are we?" Sakuya suddenly asked with a giggle. The bobbed haired sniper was now standing next to her, and Kanon almost killed in surprise.
Kanon blushed slightly before stuttering in response. "Sakuya... It's not that I was just... Uhhh..." Kanon refocused her attention. All three, Gladius along with Lindow Kota were now sitting on the couch with Soma, as Kota bombarded Gladius with ridiculous questions. Alisa, not wanting to be some sort of pear like the latter, decided to walk back to Kanon and Sakuya.
"Well... Looks like Kota's got Gladius' full attention... And we're not when counting Yuu yet. Hopefully, Gladius is prepared for these dynamic duo..." Alisa said with a sigh.
Sakuya let out a short laugh. "Oh, cine now, Alisa. Kota and you're boyfriend are just excited to meet the new arrival. Aren't we all?" Sakuya's lighthearted response, caused Alisa's face brightening red.
"Sa - Sakuya..!" Alisa scowled. Sakuya giggled before raising her hands in surrender and responding. "Whoops... My bad... Tee hee..."
Kanon offered a sincere smile to Alisa. "At least your both happy. You and Yuu." Kanon commented. But then, as she gazed back at Gladius out of interest, she didn't expect Gladius to be gazing back at her. Their eyes met for a brief moment while Gladius was still talking with the other god eaters.
Sakuya, unlike Alisa, quickly noticed. She began trying to suppress he giggle. "Love at first sight..." Sakuya mumbled, which both Kanon and Alisa almost heard her. Sakuya bit her lips with a cheeky grin. "... Oh... I was just mumbling to myself, you two. Don't be silly!" Sakuya excused, but shet then added another, just to steer both women's attention to another topic. "... I've been wondering... What type of god arc does Gladius use..?"
Alisa placed a finger down her chin as she easily fell interested. Kanon, finding herself in an awkward situation, hoped that she wasn't making Gladius feel like she was some sort of creep staring at him. Hopefully, he figured that she was purely staring directly onto his eyes... Bit hearing Sakuya's last statement... Kanon wondered too. What type of god doss Gladius use..? He was from an exterminator division back at the Philippine Branch... Surely he was sent on missions to exterminate powerful aragami? Or a dozen of them as part of that divisions' role? Boost Hammer? Pounding, and slamming down or aragami? Kanon mentally shook her head on the thought. It's a weapon too slow. Same former Buster Blade... Charge Spear? Scythe Variant..?
No matter what god arc Gladius has, Kanon, apart from being interested to know - she found herself, strangely interested about Gladius, as a person being a god eater... Unfortunately for Kanon; both Sakuya, and now even Alisa, noticed how bright red her cheeks had turned, while staring at an accompanied Gladius...
