A Battle of Aerial Mobility!
(Third-Person's POV)
*Later that day, in Vaniville Town, Rhyhorn yawned & then looked at the upper window of the house. In her bedroom, Serena stood in front of a mirror, wearing her hair in a loose ponytail, a dark gray tank top with a white collar, a red double waist side buttons pleated skirt, dark gray thigh‐high socks, & black high‐tops with a pink semi‐Poké Ball printing on the sides. She was trying on a white hat. She then took the hat off & threw it on her bed with some other hats. She looked at two other hats on a table one was a maroon flat with a white pom-pom on top & the other was a dark pink hat paired with a black hatband & ribbon bow. Just then, there was a knock on her door*
Serena: Yeah, come in.
*Grace came in. Then Fletchling flew & landed on Serena's head*
Grace: Are you going out?
Serena: Hey Mom, *she held up the two hats* which one should I wear?
*Grace thought for a minute & then pointed to the flat*
Grace: I'd go with that.
Serena: Hmm? Kay. This one.
*She threw away the flat hat & put on the dark pink hat. Fletching flew off her head so she could*
Fletchling: Fletch-Fletch!
Grace: If you already knew, why did you ask?
Serena: Whichever one you didn't pick is the cuter one, that's why.
Fletchling: Fletchling!
Grace: I see. So, where are you going?
*Serena stood up*
Serena: Luminous City. To see Professor Sycamore and get my very first Pokemon.
Fletchling: Chling-Chling!

Narrator: In Luminous City, Ash has just befriended Froakie. His first Kalos Region Pokémon at Professor Sycamore's research lab.
(Jerrica's POV)
*Me, Blaze, Ryza, Ash, & Clemont were walking down the street. Bonnie, Pikachu, Blaze, & Ryza were running ahead*
Bonnie: Come on! Hurry it up you three! Ash, Jerrica, you can register for the Kalos League over this way!
Pikachu: Pika! Pika!
Blaze: Chimchar!
Ryza: Riolu!
Ash: Yeah, we know Bonnie.
Clemont: There's no need to rush.
Jerrica: The Pokemon Center's not going anywhere.
Ash: Thanks a lot, Clemont. It's nice of you to bring us here.
Jerrica: Without you, we wouldn't know where to go.
Clemont: Please think nothing of it, guys. I confess I'm a little in awe of you two.
Ash: In awe?
Jerrica: Of us?
Clemont: You two were willing to do anything you could to help Pikachu, Blaze, Ryza, and Garchomp yesterday. Just watching you gave me courage.
Ash: Oh, come on. It wasn't that big of a deal.
Jerrica: Anyone could have done the same.
Clemont: It was. I can totally understand why Froakie chose you, Ash. *Ash took out Froakie's PokeBall & looked at it. Clemont turned around & looked at Prism Tower* I'll just have to better.
Jerrica: Better at what?
Clemont: Sorry. Just talking to myself.
*We soon arrived at the Pokemon Center. A lady with bright pink hair in looped pigtails, fair skin, blue eyes, & wearing a white nurse's hat, a pink & white dress with a white collar, white tights, & pink shoes was standing behind the registration desk*
Nurse Joy: Good morning.
Ash: Good morning to you, Nurse Joy.
Nurse Joy: At this Pokemon Center, helping Pokemon in need is our number 1 goal. We're here for trainers and Pokemon alike.
Jerrica: My friend and I were hoping you could help us register for the Kalos League.
*Pikachu jumped on Ash's shoulder. Blaze jumped on mine & Ryza in my arms*
Nurse Joy: I sure can! If you please, touch this panel with your Pokedex.
*A square the size of the Pokedex appeared in one of the touch screens*
Ash: Okay.
*He took out his Pokedex & put it on the screen. Then his picture appeared*
Computer: Ash from Pallet Town is now registered to enter the Kalos League. Number of badges currently in your possession, 0. We wish you the best of luck. *I took out my Pokedex & did the same thing* Jerrica from Sandgem Town is now registered to enter the Kalos League. Number of badges currently in your possession, 0. We wish you the best of luck.
Clemont: You're all set now, guys.
Ash: Awesome! And I'm gonna win. My next step in becoming a Pokemon Master!
Jerrica: Uh, not so fast. *he looked at me* If wanna win, you'll have to get past me and my Pokemon first.
Blaze: Chim.
Ryza: Riolu.
*Ash & Pikachu both looked stunned, but then they looked determined*
Ash: Alright. Then I guess we'll both have a work hard and do our best.
Pikachu: Pika-Pika.
Jerrica: May the best trainer win.
*With that said, we shook hands. Accepting the challenge*
Nurse Joy: And every registered trainer in eligible to receive a Kalos Region Badge Case. Here.
*A Wigglytuff wearing a white nurse's hat & a white apron came up to us, holding a black case in each hand*
Wigglytuff: Wigglytuff.
Jerrica: A Wigglytuff.
Blaze: Chimchar.
Ryza: Riolu.
Nurse Joy: Why yes. Here in the Kalos Region, my able Pokemon Center assistant is Wigglytuff.
Ash: That's great. *he & I each took a case* Thanks Wigglytuff.
Jerrica: Thank you.
Nurse Joy: You're both all registered. Good luck. Train hard and always do your best.
Ash: Right. Count on it.
Pikachu: Pika!
Jerrica: Same for us. Right guys?
Blaze: Chimchar!
Ryza: Riolu!
*Later, Ash went over to one of the phones to make a call. I decided to do the same. I dialed the number & an elderly man with white hair with sideburns, fair skin, blue eyes, a white mustache, & wearing a white lab coat over a light blue vest which was over a gray tie, dark teak pants, & gray shoes appeared on the screen*
Jerrica: Hi Grandpa.
Blaze: Chim.
Ryza: Ri.
Professor Rowan: Well, hello Jerrica. I was hoping you'd call me. Especially after that stunt you pulled last night with Garchomp.
*I started to get nervous. My Grandpa can get a little scary when he's angry*
Jerrica: Oh, you saw that?
Professor Rowan: Jerrica, I think the whole world saw what happened last night. In fact, one my assistants fainted when she saw you jump off Prism Tower. While I truly admire your courage, please promise you won't ever do something that dangerous ever again.
Jerrica: Well, I can't make any promises, but I'll try.
*Grandpa nodded*
Professor Rowan: That's good enough for me. Well then, good luck on your journey, train hard, and catch lots of Pokemon.
Jerrica: I will, Grandpa.
Professor Rowan: Blaze. Ryza. Take good care of my Jerrica, alright.
Blaze Chimchar.
Ryza: Riolu.
*With that said, Grandpa hung up*
*We then went outside, where Clemont & Bonnie were waiting for us*
Ash: Guys! Thanks for waiting.
Clemont: Hi Ash. Jerrica. Ash, didn't you tell us you were going to challenge the Santalune Gym first?
Ash: Yeah. I'm pretty sure the Gym Leader should be back by now.
Jerrica: Do you know that Gym Leader?
Ash: Not exactly. But I know her sister, Alexa.
Clemont: I think the best way to get to Santalune City is by traveling Route 4 all the way there.
Ash: Then Route 4 it is. Aren't you excited, Pikachu?
Pikachu: Pika!
Ash: Froakie, you're gonna be great.
Froakie: Froakie.
Clemont: So, why don't we hit the road?
Bonnie: Let's go!
*Ash looked confused*
Clemont: The sooner we leave, the sooner we're there.
Ash: You don't have to show me around anymore.
Bonnie: Silly Ash. We're all really really good friends now, right? So we're going with you.
Ash: No joke?
Pikachu: Pika?
Clemont: We're serious. Remember what you did yesterday. You showed me what it's like to real courage. I know I can get stronger. We both can get stronger traveling with you.
Bonnie: You're right, Clemont.
*Clemont then looked apologetic*
Clemont: So, that okay?
Ash: Of course it's okay! Traveling with friends is way more fun! *Clemont & Bonnie smiled* Alright, it's a deal. *he held out his hand* We'll have a great time.
Clemont: Yeah. We sure will.
*They both took hands*
Jerrica: In that case, count us in too.
Blaze: Chimchar!
Ryza: Riolu!
*They all looked at us, confused*
Ash: Huh? You wanna come too, Jerrica?
Pikachu: Pika?
Jerrica: Of course. After all, like you said, it's always for fun to travel with friends than alone.
*My Pokemon nodded in agreement. Ash looked surprised for a few more seconds & then smiled*
Ash: Alright then, welcome to the group.
Pikachu: Pikachu!
*I put my hand on top of Ash's & Clemont's*
Bonnie: Hey! No fair! I can't reach! *we all got down on our knees so she could join in. she put her hand on top of ours* Let's go meet lots and lots of Pokemon!
*Pikachu, Blaze, Ryza, & Froakie did the same*
Ash: Right! Good friends, together.
Jerrica: Forever.
Ash: Kalos, here we come!
*We all put our hand up*
All: Yeah!
(Third-Person POV)
*Meanwhile, in Vaniville Town, Rhyhorn woke up from it's nap as Serena was heading out the door*
Serena: Rhyhorn. *she went up to it & petted it's head* Gotta go. Wish me luck.
*It then nuzzled her*
Rhyhorn: Rhy.
Grace: So do you know which Pokemon you want? *Serena nodded* Which one?
Serena: It's a secret. *the wind blew through her hair as she adjusted her hat* I'm off. Later!
*She ran off down the path*
Grace: Bye. Take care.
Rhyhorn: Rhy.
Grace: Don't forget to practice your Rhyhorn racing!
Serena: I won't! Bye!
*Soon, she was gone*
Grace: I guess we'll just see about that.
(Jerrica's POV)
*Later that day, we had left the city & we were now traveling down Route 4. Bonnie was running ahead with Pikachu, Blaze, Ryza, & Froakie. Suddenly, the Pokemon stopped*
Ash: Hey, what's up you four?
*Pikachu, Blaze, Ryza, & Froakie just looked around. Just then, a berry fell out of a tree & bounced off Pikachu's head. It rolled on the ground at bit. Pikachu went up to inspect it. Suddenly, a little lightning bolt hit the ground where the berry was, knocking it away. It hit Bonnie on the nose*
Jerrica: Where did that come from?
*Clemont ran up to Bonnie*
Clemont: Bonnie! Are you okay?
Bonnie: Whoa. That was a shock.
Clemont: What was it?
*Pikachu, Blaze, Ryza, & Froakie looked at a nearby tree. Bonnie stood up & picked up the berry*
Bonnie: Maybe it wanted this.
*Suddenly, we all heard a rustling sound in the grass. Pikachu, Blaze, & Ryza got in front of Clemont & Bonnie. A small, rodent-like Pokémon with a pudgy vibrant orange body, small oval ears that are black on the outside with cream-colored insides, small black eyes, a tiny black nose, small sharp incisor teeth, very long, black, wire-like tail and spiny, black whiskers on its reddish-orange cheek patches, a cream-colored belly, & short & stubby feet & paws with tiny digits came out of the grass*
Ash: Never seen that Pokemon.
*The Pokemon glared that Bonnie*
Dedenne: En-ne!
*Bonnie squealed in delight*
Bonnie: It's so cute!
*The stepped closer. Pikachu got in front of it & his cheeks sparked*
Pikachu: Pika-Pika!
*Sparks flew between them as their electricity connected*
Bonnie: It sure doesn't look like it's afraid of us.
Clemont: They're Electric Types. So, they can communicate with electricity.
Jerrica: So that's an Electric Type.
*I took out my Pokedex & scanned the Pokemon*
Pokedex: Dedenne. The Antenna Pokemon. Dedenne communicates long distance with other Dedenne by sending radio waves through it's antenna like whiskers.
Ash: Wow. So that's a Dedenne.
Bonnie: I want it so bad! *she grabbed Clemont's sleeve* Hey! You'll keep it for me, won't you?
Ash: Keep it?
Bonnie: Yeah. He'll keep it for me until I'm old enough to become a trainer. *she turned back to Clemont* Pretty pretty please. I promise I'll take care of it.
Clemont: Hmm . . . Let me see.
Ash: Aw, do it. I can help you catch it if you want.
Bonnie: You will. Thanks a lot, Ash!
Jerrica: Plus, it'll be good experience for when she becomes a trainer.
Clemont: Alright then. Let's catch Dedenne.
*Bonnie nodded. She then looked at the berry in her hand*
Bonnie: Right . . . *she went up to Dedenne & kneeled down to it's level* Hey Dedenne, you wanted this, right?
*Dedenne slowly walked towards Bonnie*
Jerrica: It must've thought Pikachu was gonna take it.
*Dedenne got closer*
Bonnie: That's right. Here, take it.
*Dedenne was about to take the berry when suddenly a small bird-like Pokémon with a bright orange head, round black eyes, a small black beak, a mostly pale purplish-gray body, grayish wings with white tips, a small black & white striped tail, & tiny black feet & talons swooped in & snatched the berry. It then flew to a nearby tree*
Jerrica: Hey! What's the big idea!?
Ash: I've never seen that Pokemon either.
Clemont: It's a Fletchling!
Bonnie: No fair! That berry belongs to Dedenne!
*Fletchling ignored her & at the berry*
Fletchling: Chling-Chling! Fletchling!
*We all gasped*
Clemont: Fletchling at the berry!
*Ash took out his Pokedex*
Pokedex: Fletchling. The Tiny Robin Pokemon. Although Fletchling's chirp is quite beautiful to hear, it is relentlessly tough with those who enter it's territory.
*We turned to Dedenne, who looked ready to cry*
Bonnie: Dedenne, what's the matter? *Dedenne broke down in tears & ran away* Dedenne, wait!
*It disappeared into the grass*
Clemont: I don't think it's going to come back.
*Suddenly, Froakie jumped up & threw some of it's Frubbles at Fletchling, but it dodged all of them*
Jerrica: It dodged all the Frubbles!
Ash: Look at that. Fletchling's fast. *he then smiled & adjusted his hat* All right. I'm gonna catch that Fletchling now!
*Fletchling landed back on the branch & glared at Ash*
Fletchling : Fletchling!
Clemont: Fletchling's a Flying Type. Pikachu has the advantage as an Electric Type.
*I wrote that down in my notebook, even though it was pretty obvious. I then noticed Froakie looking at Bonnie, who had tears in her eyes*
Ash: Kay, Pikachu! Let's go!
Pikachu: Pika!
*Suddenly, Froakie got in front of Pikachu. He then jumped up & threw more Frubbles, but Fletchling dodged then again*
Ash: Come on, Froakie! We don't even have a plan! Pikachu, use Thunderbolt.
*Pikachu got charged up to use the move, but Froakie stopped him. He then jumped up & gathered water in his hands for a Water Plus. Fletchling then multiplied*
Jerrica: It's using Double Team!
*Froakie launched the Water Plus, but it hit one of the fakes. Fletchling then flew in with Peck. It hit Froakie in the chest, sending him flying into a tree. Froakie started to fall*
Ash: Froakie! *he caught Froakie in his arms* Froakie, are you okay?
Ash: Kie.
Ash: Take it easy. Just let Pikachu handle
Pikachu: Pika-Pika.
*Froakie just got a determined look in his eyes as he looked at Bonnie*
Froakie: Froakie.
*He then got out of Ash's arms*
Ash: Wait! *Froakie then looked at Fletchling & jumped up in the air* Wait, Froakie!
Clemont: Hold on. Didn't Professor Sycamore say that Froakie had a habit of ignoring it's trainer when battling?
Ash: I'm starting to understand.
Clemont: Huh?
Ash: Stories about Froakie leaving it's trainers. I get it!
*We all looked at Ash, confused. Fletchling hit Froakie with another Peck attack. Froakie hit the ground hard & bounced a little*
Ash: Stop Froakie! Just chill out!
*Ash & I both grabbed him to stop him*
Jerrica: You're only going to end up hurting yourself.
Froakie: Fro!
Ash: I know how you feel, Froakie, but you've gotta listen to me.
Clemont: Ash! Jerrica!
*We looked up & Fletchling launched a Razor Wind at us. We all dodged. Ash crashed into a tree, scraping his arm, while still holding Froakie*
Ash: Everybody okay? Pikachu? Froakie? Clemont and Bonnie, are you guys okay too?
Clemont: Yeah, Ash. We're alright.
Ash: Jerrica? Blaze? Ryza?
Jerrica: We're okay.
Blaze: Chim.
Ryza: Ri.
Ash: Hey Froakie. I understand. You wanted to get even with Fletchling for making Bonnie sad.
Froakie:*ashamed* Froak.
*He got out of Ash's arms & Bonnie came up to him*
Bonnie: Is that true? Thank you, Froakie!
*She hugged him, making him blush. Fletchling was flying in circles above us*
Ash: But you can't do that without a plan. Okay, Fletchling can fly, so first need to figure out a way to lure it in.
*Just then, Clemont's glasses started to gleam as he smiled excitedly*
Clemont: Well you just leave it to me. You see, the future is now thanks to science. Clemontic Gear on! *he pulled out a machine looked like a gramophone* Presenting my Flying Type Pokemon attractor machine!
*Ash got sparkles in his eyes. Bonnie, Blaze, Ryza, & I all sweat dropped*
Bonnie: The name could use a little work.
Jerrica: It kinda looks like my Grandma's old Gramophone.
Blaze: Chim.
Ryza: Ri.
*Clemont sweat dropped at that, but quickly got over it*
Clemont: You see, bird Pokemon have a homing instinct. By using sound waves of a certain frequency, this little invention of mine can attract or repel bird Pokemon by infecting their internal compass. Watch this. Power on. *he turned a crank on his invention & it sent out a sound wave. But it didn't seem to effect Fletchling* It's starting to work.
Ash: So cool. Man science is amazing.
Jerrica: I don't know. Something doesn't seem right here.
*Suddenly, we were surrounded by a bunch of red lights. Fletchling just yawned*
Clemont: I don't understand.
Pikachu: Pika?
Froakie: Fro?
Blaze: Chim?
Ryza: Ri?
*More red lights appeared around us*
Clemont: It makes no sense.
Ash: Hey, Clemont.
Jerrica: I think you should stop now.
Bonnie: Something's staring at us.
*Suddenly, swarm of Beedrills came out of the trees & surrounded us*
Ash: Beedrill!
Pikachu: Pika!
Clemont: They were attracted by it?
Bonnie: Turn off the machine!
*Just then, the Beedrill came towards us with their stingers out. We all screamed & ran for our lives*
Jerrica: They're chasing us! Let's go!
*Just then, a aqua/light blue aquatic bird-like Pokémon with a heart-shaped, feather-like protrusion on it's head, a yellow beak, sky-blue fluffy structure that surrounds its plump breast, & yellow feet came out of the bushes in front of us*
Jerrica: It's a Ducklett! *I picked up the Ducklett as we ran away from the Beedrill* Sorry for the pick up, but I don't want you to get stung!
*Ducklett looked confused at first. But then it looked over my shoulder & freaked out when it saw the Beedrill. It then jumped out of my arms & flew away*
Clemont: I must've picked too low a frequency! Bet a higher frequency would've worked a whole lot better on Bird Pokemon! Let's try this!
*He turned the handle faster, but it just made Beedrill more agitated*
Ash: Stop it, Clemont! You're making the Beedrill even angrier than before!
Clemont: I'm sure I can effect the Flying Type Pokemon if I just crank it up full blast! Here goes!
*He turned the crank even harder. Suddenly, Gramophone exploded, scaring away the Beedrill. We were all covered in soot & our hair was frizzy*
Bonnie: Looks like you blew it again.
Jerrica: Looks like the Beedrill are leaving. We're okay now. Is everybody okay?
Ryza: Riolu.
Blaze: Chimchar.
Ash: I'm okay.
Bonnie: Yeah. I'm fine.
*Clemont looked frustrated*
Clemont: But why?
Ash: Clemont that was great. You attracted all those Beedrill.
*Clemont cheered up when he heard that*
Clemont: I guess I did.
*Suddenly, we heard a sound. We all looked up & saw Fletchling flying above us. It sounded like it was laughing*
Bonnie: Hey, it's laughing at us.
*Ash then got a determined look in his eyes*
Ash: I just got an idea.
*After we got ourselves cleaned up, we all stood in front of Fletchling as it landed on a rock pillar*
Ash: This is it. The perfect place to battle. Time to settle the score.
Pikachu: Pika.
Froakie: Fro.
Bonnie: Settle the score?
Jerrica: He means he's going to catch Fletchling.
Blaze: Chimchar.
Ryza: Riolu.
*Froakie stood in front of Ash, ready to go. Ash kneeled down to him*
Ash: Yep. Together. I'm your trainer, right? That means it's you and me.
Froakie: Froakie.
*Ash stood up*
Ash: Great! This whole area will be the battlefield. It's full of high and low places. And with your awesome jumping skills, you'll rock.
Froakie: Kie.
Bonnie: I have no idea what any of that meant.
Jerrica: Basically, Ash's plan is to use the area to Froakie's advantage.
Bonnie: Oh.
Ash: Go Froakie! Jump above Fletchling! Ready!? *Froakie jumped. he went from rock to rock until he was where Fletchling was perched. Fletchling flew away, but Froakie went after it* Yes! Now jump higher!
Clemont: Is taking advantage of the the different ledge heights. And combined with those amazing jumping skills, Froakie will have even more mobility. *he turned to me* just like you said.
Jerrica: It was pretty obvious.
*Froakie was right on Fletchling's tail*
Ash: Now! Use Water Pulse! *Froakie launched the Water Pulse, but missed* Make it hard fly!
*Froakie threw some of it's Frubbles at Fletchling, but it dodged again. Fletchling then aimed a Peck attack at Froakie, but it turned out to be a fake made of Frubbles. Which made it hard for Fletchling to fly*
Clemont: It's a decoy!
Ash: Great, Froakie! Now Bubble! Go! *Froakie was on a higher ledge as he shot Frubbles at Fletchling & they hit it, making Fletchling fall* Alright, go PokeBall!
*The PokeBall hit Fletchling & it went inside, but popped back out after a few shakes*
Bonnie: No! It didn't work!
Jerrica: You were so close!
*Fletchling then launched Razor Wind at us*
Ash: It's attacking! Jump up and get above it again! *Froakie dodged the Air Cutter & then jumped from rock to rock until he was at the same height Fletchling was* Water Pulse! *Froakie launched a Water Pulse & it hit Fletchling full force. it started to fall* This time for sure. *he turned his hat around* Go PokeBall! *he threw another Ball & it hit Fletchling. it was sucked inside & the Ball shook a few times before it clicked* Yeah! *he picked it up* I caught a Fletchling!
Pikachu: Pi-Pikachu!
Froakie: Froakie! *Froakie then fell from exhaustion* Fro . . .
*We all ran up to him*
Ash: You okay, Froakie? I caught Fletchling cause of you.
Froakie: Kie . . .
Pikachu: Pika-Pika.
Bonnie: Wasn't that amazing?
Clemont: Sure was. Froakie's jumping kept getting better. *Ash picked up Froakie* Same with your team work.
Jerrica: You really has gotten stronger since Sinnoh.
Blaze: Chimchar.
Ryza: Riolu.
Ash: Yeah. I'm starting to understand a lot about Froakie. Thanks.
*Pikachu jumped on his shoulder*
Pikachu Pika-Pika.
Froakie: Froak.
*Ash let Fletchling out of his PokeBall*
Ash: Come on out, Fletchling! *he landed on the ground in front of Ash, who was on his knee* From now on, we're gonna be good friends. All of us.
Bonnie: And Fletchling, tell me if you get hungry next time. Because stealing other Pokemon's food is bad.
Fletchling: Fletchling.
Bonnie: Okay. You're forgiven.
Clemont: How about an Oran Berry to celebrate our new friendship? You too Pikachu, Blaze, Ryza, and Froakie.
*Each of the Pokedex took an Oran Berry. I reached into my bag a pulled out a cookie tin. I opened it, revealing . . .*
Jerrica: And a Poffin?
*After they finished the berries, each Pokemon took a Poffin*
Bonnie: What are those?
Jerrica: Poffins. A Sinnoh Region specialty.
*We all then stood up*
Ash: Great. Alright, let's all head to the Santalune Gym!
All: Yeah!
?:*off-screen* Ducklett.
Jerrica: Huh?
*I turned around & saw the Ducklett I had saved from the Beedrill behind me*
Jerrica: Oh, it's you. *I kneeled down to it* What are you doing here?
Ducklett: Ducklett. Duck. Duck.
*It then nuzzled against my hand*
Clemont: I think it wants to go with you. Since you saved it from those Beedrill earlier.
*I was surprised. I turned back to Ducklett*
Jerrica: Is that true?
*Ducklett smiled & nodded*
Ducklett: Ducklett!
*Then I smiled*
Jerrica: In that case, *I took out a PokeBall* welcome to the team.
*I tapped Ducklett with it, & it was sucked inside. The Ball shook for a few seconds before it clicked*

Blaze: Chimchar!
Ryza: Riolu!
Ash: Alright!
Pikachu: Pikachu!
Bonnie: Yay!
Clemont: Excellent catch!
Jerrica: Okay. Come on out, Ducklett.
*Ducklett came out of it's PokeBall & Blaze & Ryza came over to say hello. I took out my Pokedex*
Pokedex: Ducklett. The Water Bird Pokemon. They are better at swimming than flying, and they happily eat their favorite food, peat moss, as they dive underwater.
Jerrica: Hmm . . . It says here that you're a female and you know Bubble Beam, Gust, Water Sport, & Wing Attack
Ducklett: Ducklett.
Jerrica: Okay. Now for a name. *I thought for a minute* I know. How about Odette?
Ducklett: Duck?
Jerrica: It's the name of a character in one my favorite books. Also, one day *I took out a book with a picture of a Swanna on the cover & showed it to Ducklett* you'll evolve into a beautiful Swanna, so the name fits.
Bonnie: And it sounds really pretty.
*Blaze & Ryza nodded*
*Ducklett seemed mesmerized by the picture of Swanna. It was quiet for a few minutes & then smiled*
Odette: Ducklett!
Jerrica: Okay. I'm glad you like it. *I picked up Odette & held her up high in the air as I stood up* Once again, welcome to the team.
Odette: Ducklett!
Narrator: And so, Ash and Jerrica each have a new friend, Fletchling and Odette. Now, Ash, Jerrica, Clemont and Bonnie sent their sights on Santalune City, our heroes journey truly begins.
(Third-Person POV)
*Meanwhile, in Luminous City, Serena arrived at Professor Sycamore's research lab, which was still a mess*
Serena: Hello! Is Professor Sycamore around?
*The Professor appeared at the top of the stairs*
Professor Sycamore: That's me. I'm up here.
Serena: Huh? Hello there. I'm Serena.
Professor Sycamore: I'll bet you're here to become a Pokemon trainer.
Serena: Yep. Also, Professor? I saw this trainer on the news. The report was all about how he had saved a Garchomp.
Professor Sycamore: Oh, you're talking about Ash.
Serena:*in her mind* Ash. I knew it.
Professor Sycamore: I'm afraid that he already left. He said that he was going to challenge the Santalune Gym.
Serena: Santalune Gym? Hm. Professor, may I choose a Pokemon?
Professor Sycamore: Of course. And do you have any idea which Pokemon you'd like?
Serena: Yep.
*The Professor turned to the door on the left*
Professor Sycamore: Alright. Everybody out! *Sophie came out of the door with three Pokemon behind her. One was a Froakie. The other two were a small, fox-like Pokémon with round bright orange eyes, fluffy tufts of vibrant, flame-orange fur protruding from its ears, a white pointy muzzle, a round black nose, bright yellow fur, & short, bushy yellow tail with an orange tip & a Pokemon that looked like a hedgehog or a porcupine that had a tough spiky green chestnut-like shell covering its head & back, black oval-shaped eyes, brown fur, a large orange triangle-shaped nose, a toothy grin, sharp claws on its large feet, & an orange tip on the end of its pointed green tail* These are the Kalos Pokemon new trainers may choose from. Fennekin, Chespin, and Froakie. Which Pokemon will you choose as your partner?
