Hello and welcome to this story. I hope you enjoy it!

Luke's hand went limp, and Percy could feel the life draining out of him. At the same time, he suddenly felt an indescribable surge of strength and suddenly felt incredibly powerful, which strangely lasted. He considered telling Annabeth and Grover about it, but he saw a tear run down Annabeth's cheek and decided to give them some time to grieve. He could also tell them later. He tried to suppress the feeling, but it was too strong for that. So he gave it up and decided instead to put an arm around Annabeth to pull her to him. She said nothing, but just leaned against him and began to sob quietly. Meanwhile, Percy stroked her arm soothingly. Grover stood beside the two of them and he remained quiet, too. Percy could see a small tear in his eye, too. They stood like this for a few minutes on the floor of the throne room of the gods on Mount Olympus in front of Luke's body. Annabeth continued to sob and at some point Grover could no longer hold back his tears either.
Percy could understand them both. They had lost one of their best friends, even though he had been on the enemy side for the last few years and had betrayed them. Percy was also saddened by Luke's death at that moment. He thought of how nice Luke had been to him when Percy had come to camp. Maybe that had just been a tactic to get Percy on Kronos' side. But despite these doubts, Percy was sure Luke could have been a good friend to him too, had it not been for Kronos. Luke had fought for Kronos, but that was only because Kronos had brainwashed him into thinking he was fighting on the right side. And in the end he had still realised and done the right thing. He was definitely a hero! He didn't deserve to die. Percy sighed. Too many people had died in that war who definitely didn't deserve it.
Suddenly his thoughts were interrupted by the Olympian gods rushing into the throne room in full battle armour, probably totally confused when all they could catch sight of were Percy, Annabeth and Grover standing before Luke's corpse. Silence reigned for a few seconds. Then Poseidon dared to break the silence and asked, somewhat confused, "Percy, w-what happened?" Percy searched Hermes' face for a moment and when he found it, he looked him in the eye and said in a crumbling voice, "W-we need a shroud for Luke Castellan, son of Hermes." Hermes turned pale and he rushed forward. Apparently he hadn't noticed Luke's body before. The god knelt down and sadly placed a hand on Luke's cheek. He whispered barely audibly, "My son."
Zeus cleared his throat, "So Kronos is defeated?" "Yes, Lord Zeus," Annabeth joined the conversation in a surprisingly firm voice. Athena frowned and whispered something in Zeus' ear. The latter seemed to understand and nodded. "Perseus Jackson, come with me!" his voice rumbled through the throne room. Percy swallowed and Grover and Annabeth gave him worried looks. What did Zeus want? Percy hated to do it, but he knew he had to follow Zeus' orders. "I'll come with you," Poseidon announced and Percy was a little relieved. Whatever Zeus wanted, his dad would surely protect him. Zeus nodded and ushered them both out of the throne room. Outside the throne room, Percy almost fell to his death as the ground just stopped in front of them. "Take my hand, Percy," Poseidon commanded. No sooner had Percy done so than they suddenly found themselves in a small temple of Poseidon somewhere else on Olympus. Zeus grumbled, "Why did you choose this place, brother?" "Because it's not destroyed or damaged, after all," Poseidon replied. "Besides, we have something more important to do now, brother." Zeus seemed to come to his senses, albeit reluctantly, "You're right. So let's get started."
Percy still didn't know why the two had brought him here, but he didn't dare ask for fear of saying the wrong thing. So he waited until Poseidon started, "Percy, do you feel different than usual? More powerful somehow, for example?" Percy nodded. The feeling of sheer power and strength had remained. "Does it matter?" asked Percy. Zeus nodded, "I think we need to explain something to you, Perseus. When a god, titan or other powerful immortal is defeated and destroyed without the intervention of immortals, that is, mere mortals, some of its power is surrendered. And that is to the person who defeated him." "And what does that have to do with me?" asked Percy, confused. "Is he always this obtuse?" asked Zeus, somewhat annoyed. Poseidon ignored this and instead explained, "That part of Kronos' power should have passed to you, Percy."
Percy was silent. Could it really be that he now possessed part of Kronos' powers? It would explain why he suddenly felt so strong and powerful since Luke's death. But it didn't make sense. Luke had defeated Kronos, so Kronos' powers should have passed to him. Still, it seemed like Percy had gotten that part of the power from Kronos. Besides, Percy didn't even know if he wanted to have those powers. Actually, he had dreamed of living a normal mortal life with Annabeth after the war. What did these powers actually mean? Was he now a god because of these powers? All these thoughts were buzzing through his head at that moment and he asked, "So what power of Kronos has passed to me?"
Zeus muttered something that sounded suspiciously like, "The boy can ask intelligent questions, after all." Percy paid no more attention, however, as Poseidon continued the conversation, "We don't know yet, but we suspect it's the power over time." The power over time would be cool, Percy thought at that moment. But he couldn't think about it more because Poseidon spoke again, "If you had the power over time, you would actually have to know what time it is now -" Percy interrupted him because he suddenly knew the time exactly. Similar to how he knew the speed at sea when he was sailing a boat there. "It is 3:19 a.m. and 22 seconds," it therefore shot out of him. Poseidon nodded, "Now still try to make time go slower for you than for us." Percy nodded. That would be definite proof that he had the power over time. So he concentrated on what he wanted. He closed his eyes and imagined making time pass twice as slowly for him as it did for the others. As he did so, he felt a slight tugging in his abdominal region.
When he opened his eyes, he was amazed to see that it actually worked. Either Poseidon and Zeus were suddenly blinking and breathing in slow motion or time was actually passing twice as fast for them as it was for him. Percy was about to let time go back to normal when he thought of how suspicious Zeus was. He would certainly not believe him if he simply claimed that time had passed more slowly for him than for the others. So, as proof to Zeus, he took out his pen as fast as he could and turned it into Riptide. Percy suddenly saw fear rise in Zeus' face. After a moment he realised that this was because he was standing in front of Zeus with his sword drawn and Zeus might perceive this as a threat. Therefore, as quickly as possible, he turned Riptide back into a biro and let it slide back into his trouser pocket. Then he briefly thought about letting time go back to normal and sure enough, Poseidon and Zeus blinked and breathed again at normal speed, asking, "What was that about, boy? Why did you threaten me?" Percy cleared his throat, "I'm sorry about that, Zeus. I just wanted to show you and my dad that time was moving much faster for me." "All right. You managed to do that. You brought out your sword as fast as a samurai. So clearly you now possess the power over time."
"And what does that mean now?" asked Percy curiously. Zeus growled, "Don't interrupt me, boy!" Then he continued, "No mortal body can harbour such power, which is why you are now a god. Moreover, with the power over time, you are so powerful that willy-nilly we must admit you to Olympus." Percy's head seemed to explode with racing thoughts. He had also considered that he could now be a god. But he didn't think about it for the time being because he couldn't believe what Zeus had just said. He was to be accepted into Olympus as a god? He was speechless, especially because Zeus of all people had offered him that. "So I get to decide for myself if I want to become an Olympic god?" Zeus nodded, "You get to think about it for a few minutes before you decide, but I don't think it's a difficult decision."
Percy wasn't as sure about that as Zeus was. He wanted to refuse at first, not knowing if he would be able to live up to such a strong responsibility. But then he thought of gods, like Ares, Dionysus or even Zeus, who definitely did not live up to their responsibility. Percy knew that he would never behave like such gods and would definitely do his job better. Besides, this would be a unique chance for him to stand up for the rights of demigods and minor gods. He simply had to use this chance to improve the situation. Besides, he could hardly do more wrong than gods like Ares, Dionysus or Zeus. So exactly 37 seconds after Zeus had said, he said, "Thank you for the offer, Zeus. I accept." Zeus nodded, "So that's settled then. Brother, you explain everything else to him while I now help the other gods." Poseidon nodded and Zeus disappeared leaving only the smell of ozone behind.
Poseidon smiled at Percy, "Now it's just us, Percy." Percy had to admit that he too was pleased that Zeus was finally gone and he was alone with his dad. Poseidon put a hand on Percy's shoulder, "I am proud of you, my son. Without you, this victory over Kronos would not have been possible. You persuaded me to support the others in the fight against Typhon. That is the only reason we won. And you defeated Kronos." Percy just said, "I didn't." He wasn't going to take credit for something he hadn't done himself. "You didn't what?" asked Poseidon "Defeat Kronos." "Percy, you're far too modest!" his dad commented. "No," retorted Percy. "I-it was Luke." Percy's voice threatened to break as he thought of how the son of Hermes had sacrificed himself for them. "Luke Castellan?" asked Poseidon in amazement. "Yes," Percy replied. "He killed himself to destroy Kronos. I just gave him the knife to do it."
"Whatever," Poseidon agreed. "You're still a great hero." He smiled at him. "And you've earned being an Olympic god. I'm really proud of you, Percy. And I'm glad you're immortal and now I don't have to worry about losing you." "You were afraid of losing me?" asked Percy incredulously. "Yes, Percy. You are my son and I love you as other fathers love their sons. I just always try to distance myself from my mortal children as much as possible so the pain isn't so great when they die." "So you never contacted me because you were afraid I would die?!" asked Percy incredulously. Poseidon stood up and nodded sadly, "But I also had to because Zeus didn't want me to see you too much. He was already angry with me when I broke my oath not to father mortal children when you were born." "I always thought you gods were just too proud to take care of your children." Poseidon shook his head, "To the outside world, we try to maintain that impression. It would be too embarrassing for us to admit that we don't care for our children for emotional reasons."
Percy shook his head in disbelief. So the Olympians only didn't care about their children because they were afraid of losing them. "Then why don't you just make all your children immortal?" Poseidon sighed, "You can't just make everyone immortal, Percy. Immortality is not something to be taken for granted, it is a gift that only the best demigods should receive. You can't be too wasteful with it." Percy could not understand this opinion. In his opinion, almost everyone in the camp did not deserve to die. But he decided to say no more. This discussion would lead to nothing except possibly upsetting his father, which he was determined to avoid.
After some silence, Poseidon sat down with Percy again and finally, looking Percy right in the eye, said again, "But now you are immortal, Percy. I don't have to worry about losing you." Percy thought about it, "Could you be a real father to me now?" "Yes, Percy. I'd love to." He saw a tear roll down Poseidon's face. So his dad was serious. So he wanted to be a real father to him now. Percy had always wanted that. But what about his mortal life? Did he have to give that up for this? "Dad, can I go on living my mortal life?" Poseidon shrugged, "Of course. The only requirement is that you don't use your divine powers too much in the mortal world and that you always attend meetings from the Olympic Council, about which you will always be informed."
Percy was a little relieved. So he could get on with his mortal life. However, Percy still had one fear, "Could I also make my friends immortal?" Percy was afraid that his friends would eventually die and he would then have to spend millennia as a god, without any friends and especially without Annabeth. He would never be able to do that and he didn't want to! Poseidon replied: "As a god, you have the power to make others immortal. However, the Olympic Council should agree if you want to make someone immortal. As long as your friends continue to be on the side of the gods, this should not be a problem for most of them. Of course, you can't make too many people immortal. But we'll get that sorted out in the course of time. Besides, as a god, you can visit the underworld every year on the winter solstice."
Percy's heart fell. So, despite everything, he could live a normal life with Annabeth and his other friends, and because he was immortal, even possibly forever. What's more, he could visit the people he couldn't immortalise at least once a year in the Underworld. This also meant that in a few months he could visit all those who had died in this war: Luke, Silena, Beckendorf, Ethan and the others. On top of that, as a member of the Olympic Council, he could also try to make sure that demigods and minor gods got more attention. In short, Percy was happy that he was now an Olympic god.
Before Percy could get too lost in his happy thoughts, Poseidon asked him, "What would you think of spending a few days in my palace then, maybe several times a month?" "Isn't it destroyed?" asked Percy in wonder. "Partially, yes. But it is also already being rebuilt. You can at least live in it." Percy thought about the offer for a moment and then replied, "That sounds cool. Could I bring visitors, too?" Poseidon nodded with a smile, "I don't see a problem." Percy's heart warmed. He was already looking forward to spending more time with his father. And that too in his underwater palace! Maybe even with Annabeth.
Poseidon interrupted his thoughts by saying, "We have to get back to the other gods in a moment, Percy. But before that, I need to teach you briefly how to control your powers." "So I don't blow things up." Poseidon laughed, "Exactly!" Then he added: "I almost forgot to tell you. As a god, you no longer have any human needs. So, for example, you no longer have to sleep, go to the toilet or eat." Percy looked at him, puzzled. He hadn't thought of that at all, but in a crazy way it made sense that it was that way. But then he thought about how he had heard ambrosia referred to as "food of the gods" at some point. So he decided to ask Poseidon about it, "If gods don't eat, why is ambrosia called "food of the gods"?" Poseidon shrugged, "Sometime back, mortals named ambrosia that. I never thought about why they did that. But you must know that we gods also eat from time to time. But we do it only for pleasure and not because our bodies need nourishment. We may never be hungry, but we are never full either." Percy nodded. That made sense. He had to smile as the thought occurred to him that this meant he could eat as many blue pancakes in a row as he wanted.
Poseidon continued, "But now you have to learn to control your powers." So Percy learned about his powers. He never thought that as a god he had so many different powers. The first thing he learned was to control his true divine form. So when he managed to transform into his true divine form, he intuitively closed his eyes, but then forced himself to open them and was amazed at what he saw. All around him he saw only pure light and he felt only pure energy. He himself consisted only of pure energy at that moment. When he finally changed back to his normal form, Percy now learned how to change his appearance. He changed his age, took on the appearance of a few famous people, turned into a horse and finally even made himself 7 metres tall. After that, he learned how to make things appear and disappear (and accidentally flattened his dad by making a truck appear). Finally, he learned how to teleport (once accidentally teleporting himself into an enclosure full of angry chickens).
When they finished, Percy was pleased with what he had learned and Poseidon also praised him: "You did really well, Percy. Not everyone learns to control their powers so quickly. We can now return to the throne room." Percy thought of another question, "Do I actually still possess my powers as a demigod now?" Poseidon nodded, "You are still my son after all!" Percy nodded, somewhat relieved. He had been afraid of losing his home territory, the water.
Then Poseidon said, "But now we really must return to the throne room!" Percy nodded and teleported himself to the throne room shortly after his father.
