It was time to leave the sky temple after staying for so long, Kether hadn't realized how much she resided in Raiden's temple, she wanted to try something different. It was risky but maybe just for a moment. She decided she wanted to fool around with Raiden's guarded things, especially Shinnok's amulet. She had been on the outside of the sky temple before and didn't know if she would be able to get in again. But she decided that she would try if she didn't know how to do anything else. The pleasure within the risk was captivating but if someone like Havik obtained it, it would result in death and destruction. Perhaps it was not wise to fool around with safeguarded items.
What could she do that would make Raiden notice her? Her only options at the moment were to wait or run a risk. The risk couldn't hurt her. She decided to try something. What would she try? Kether sighed and moved on with her life, a nice stroll out of the sky temple with be sufficient. It was beginning to get suffocating in her reality anyway, so she thought it would be nice to see another. She hadn't noticed Raiden's whereabouts, either he was mediating in the Jinsei Chamber or traveled to other realms. Who knows, anything that risked Earthrrealm's safety was something he had to attend to, and he did it in his own time. She took this journey in the foliage to contemplate and think, let her mind free without the boundaries of the sky temple's chamber.
She was free to be anything she wanted to be. She was the night, and this night was her reality, and she was not afraid. She left the temple and the sky behind her. Kether hadn't seen forestry or plants in eons, they were so foreign yet so comforting. She felt free, and it felt good. The darkness of night engulfed her as she walked along the trail, she realized how much she loved the night, how much she loved walking.
The Sky temple was a hovering tower on a pile of mountainous rocks. It was gigantic and stunning in the thunderous atmosphere. Kether could almost taste the air, she could almost hear the wind, and she could almost feel the rain. This world felt so real, so alive. Outside of the Sky Temple had a forest in front, perhaps she was not alone at the outer entrance. What unknown creature may lurk in the shadows? No fear, no worries, Kether was alone. The moon glistened with its light over the sky. The wind whistled around her ears, a nice sound. It gave her a sense of peace. Her eyes caught some herbage of flowers among the bushes, they looked colorful and pretty. She could smell them. She had never smelled such a smell before. Kether closed her eyes and inhaled the fresh air deeply. She could almost feel the flowers, they were in her nose, in her lungs, in her heart. Suddenly, there was a twig snap that alerted her senses. She heard this, she saw this, and she felt this. With quick reflexes, she grabbed the dagger that she had recently made attached around her thigh. Kether watched the foliage as slowly as possible to see the shadow that had attacked her. She saw something, she saw a small form. Her heel flinched as soon as she saw an animal. But she stood her ground. An adorable feline, black as night, eyes of amber, with a twitching tail.
She didn't dare to make a move, she didn't want to spook the lovely creature. She carefully crouched down, "Don't be afraid." She whistled at the kitten, but it only looked at her with its curiosity. "We can be friendly, you can come and stay with me if you want."
The kitten stretched its nose and walked closer to her. Kether felt its soft fur as its ran along her leg. "Aren't you just a cute little thing?" She lightly petted the kitten with her fingertips. Then she decided to carry the cat into her arms, "I shall call you, Malo." She smiled as she held the little creature.
Kether felt her heart feel lighter in her chest, this was a sign of happiness. Then suddenly, she saw a looming figure over her. A creature with glowing yellow eyes and horns protruding out of its head, the creature had to be some sort of beast from another realm. Kether wasn't scared though, "Ah, so this is why you came to me. This frightening beast was hunting you, Malo." The creature bellowed with a deep growl. Malo hissed in return, but Kether laughed, "Trying to be scary are we?" The beast roared again, and Kether giggled. The beast noticed her laughter and roared even louder, he was trying to intimidate her this beast couldn't even growl right. Kether decided to not ponder and turned her back on the creature, she walked to continue her stroll along the trail. She started whistling to herself again as she walked along, she felt free. The roaring of the beast echoed in her ears as she walked, she laughed a little. But it did not stop there. Something scratched her back with sharp claws causing her to collapse to the ground. To her surprise, it was the beast who clawed at her.
Now she was angry. "You wanna play? I'll play with you." She equipped her dagger from her thigh and stood up from the ground. The beast began to claw at her but Kether evaded its attacks. She was a little afraid of the creature, mainly because she didn't know what it was. Her special dagger failed to damage the beast as it hardly punctuated its thick skin. Kether noticed the beast had a pair of fangs, possibly for eating, how weird. Perhaps a vampire from another realm. She had no choice but to run, she wanted to protect Malo, but the beast pursued her as it roared. It seemed the only way to escape its attacks was to run even faster.
Kether ran off to the Sky Temple but slowly realized how misplaced she was. She was lost, the beast had almost caught up with her and she was lost in the middle of the wilderness.
"Damn it." she cursed to herself as she held Malo tightly in her arms. The beast was still running after her, it roared and leaped forward at her. Kether was terrified but she didn't show it. Her anger grew as she couldn't find her way back into the Sky Temple.
She threw whatever she could at the beast, her magic missiles. But each attack only made the beast angrier. "Stubborn little bastard aren't you?" She muttered to herself as she ran out of ways of attacking it. Finally, she managed to clasp her mystic bonds around its legs, pulling the beast to the ground. With her newfound power of the mystic arts, she performed a series of mystic knots that locked the creature in place.
"I've got you now you ugly bastard."
She tightened her hands into claws as she struggled to fight its strength. The creature roared in pain and anger as it struggled. But it could do nothing as it is confined with the mystic bonds. The bonds began burning the limbs of the beast yet, within the struggle it managed to break through. Rage and anger made the beast rip through her skin with its fangs. Before it could finish her off, the beast's core froze as blazing lightning struck the creature in agony.
The blue lightning slowly drained the beast's energy and life source and its heavy body crumbled onto the forest floor. Kether looked down at her ripped-up body. A lot of blood and other bodily fluids were spilled on the ground. That heart of hearts battered in adrenaline as the bright glow emitted the dazzle in her eyes. It was clear that the beast was killed by the only: Raiden. Malo ran to her side, pouncing onto her stomach as Kether watch Raiden come into view.
"Thunder God." She said weakly as she smiled.
Raiden looked at her torn-up body. "Are you alright, Kether?" He asked. She rolled her eyes, "Never better." She smiled as she pushed herself up from the ground. The pain bothered her but she didn't want to appear frail in front of him.
The blood dribbled through her hand as she clutched her injury. "I had sensed commotion out here. What are you doing outside the Sky Temple?" He inquired with a serious tone. She shrugged her shoulders, I got bored." Raiden looked at her with a serious look in his eyes. "I could've handled that thing myself." She said. "So, it would seem. Maiden glanced at her injury and proceeded to hold out his hand against her chest. His healing power did not entirely restore her wound which made him bewildered. "It would appear that my healing abilities do not fully function properly." "Perhaps you lost your touch," She said scornfully. His expression turned to irritation. Then suddenly an adorable meow occurred, Malo rubbed their head along Kether's leg. She smiled in response picking the black feline into her grasp. "Oh, here you are, sweet."
She said. Raiden glanced at the black cat in her arms and did not question it. He took a look at the creature he killed, "This came from someplace else. Somewhere unholy." The remains of the beast were a pile of grotesque viscera. Although, this creature was not of this world.
"Do you know of this creature's origins?" He asked Kether.
"A demon I'm sure, maimed face and all…" She continued to caress the kitty in her arms. As she stepped to walk she felt an unusual pain in her ankle causing her to fall off balance, fortunately, Raiden stopped her from collapsing onto the ground. Kether was confused, she didn't remember feeling anything in her lower limbs.
"...I cannot feel my legs." She said and noticed that her lower body was completely numb. "...something is wrong."
"We must return to the Sky Temple. I will assist you." He started.
Then, Kether pursed her lips, "Would you carry me? I fear that my legs will shatter if I continue to move on my own."
Raiden sighed, "As you wish." He said. He lifted her off the ground, carrying her in a bridal formation. Kether couldn't help but smile, her cheeks puffing up from the endearing experience. To Kether's disappointment, he used his electrifying teleportation method which brought them back to the Sky Temple in a short time. Kether's ankle was throbbing but it wasn't as unbearable as before. It was still painful, but she could stand if she wanted to.
A familiar door was supposed to be Kether's room and with a shift entering, Raiden continued to carry her inside. "I do not permit creatures in the Sky Temple." He addressed while focusing on the cat she continued to hold.
"Why not? This creature is an innocent cutie. He was that beast's prey before I saved it. Can't you allow me to have a pet?" Kether batted her lashes at him. He continued to glare at her with his stern face. "Please? I'm always bored here." She pleaded.
Raiden lowered his gaze, "Very well. You are responsible for taking care of the animal." Carefully, he placed Kether on her bed. She winced as the injury on her chest tightened, and the numbness in her ankle continued to grow.
"I must examine your wounds," Raiden said. He began to release his healing ability onto her chest, somehow analyzing it through the energy within. It was slowly and slowly beginning to change, although, it could take some time.
"My powers are affecting you at such a slow rate. It is most curious." He said.
"Here," Kether untied the knot of her gown that was fastened behind her neck. She was now topless from her torso only. Raiden looked at Kether's chest and averted his gaze.
This caused her to beam in grace, "There's no need for modesty, Raiden."
"Even so, you are too licentious, Kether." Kether continued to hold her optimistic expression.
"What? I just assumed you needed a stronger contact for your powers to work efficiently."
"I was not referring to your physical body's condition. You are the one causing some sort of delay with your libidinous nature. I must be sure." She rolled her eyes and noticed that the wound was slowly mending, the red tear was vanishing. Kether rubbed her hands along her chest to feel it return to normal. "Thank you" She called out to him.
"What of your ankle? Does the sensation persist?" Kether pursed her lips and thought about it.
"Maybe, although, I feel some sensation elsewhere."
"Where?" Raiden asked.
Then she began to spread her legs apart, a puckish smile rose on her face. "Here," She pointed her fingers onto her pelvic area.
Raiden finally understood what she had meant, "Do you acquire any assistance?" Kether's blush grew darker,
"Yes," she slowly glided her way to Raiden, her burning desire ached for him. The fact that was taking care of her made it push her limit of craving. She leaned forward as she held onto his masculine hands, pulling him closer to her.
He had to deny her, he had to resist her.
Kether's heart raced as she awaited his response.
"I cannot Kether, I must return to my meditation."
"No," Kether pleaded, "Continue your rest." Raiden then left her room, leaving Kether alone in a swarm of sorrow.
