The next day, the adrenaline has long since worn off and the whole family was feeling the damages. Mainly Luz, as she took most of the pain during the fight.

"I think I have a broken rib." Edric said.

"I think I have several." Emira said.

"I think my spine shifted a bit." Amity commented as they all sat in the newly repaired den.

How? It was thanks to Luz and her new magic gloves, she cast a spell that undid all the damage to the house after they returned home.

"Okay kids, just settle down." Camila said, "I'm going to do my best to heal you."

Camila was still sore herself, but a parent always puts their children first, so she summoned her staff and drew the biggest spell circle she could muster to cascade them all in a healing spell glow. They felt their bones stitch themselves back together, it was painful, but the feeling of being healed was amazing.

"Oh, that feels so nice." Amity said.

"It feels like I'm in a hot tub mixed with a full body massage." Skara said with a smile.

"It's so much different from mine." Emira said with a nod.

Luz was the only one that wasn't in the den. She was so hurt that she could barely move. So instead, she laid in her room and stared at the ceiling.

"Everything hurts. It hurts so much." Luz said to herself with a groan.

Odalia walked in, she may not be a healer like Camila, but she is one hell of a cook.

"You should try and eat, sweetie." Odalia said, "I'll stay here and help if you want."

"I can handle it." Luz said as she forced herself up, groaning in pain all the way.

Odalia refused to let Luz hurt herself more and began to feed her.

"Chew slowly, I don't want you to get hurt anymore." Odalia said.

Luz ate slowly and painfully in silence for a few minutes. Odalia refusing to leave her side.

"I'm proud of you." Odalia said, "I don't care what anyone has to say, you're more witch than anyone else in the entire Isles."

"Thanks, mother." Luz said with a smile.

"And this is BEFORE you had those gloves. You were always a witch to me and the others." Odalia said as she gestured to the gloves on Luz's nightstand, "No matter what, you'll always be a powerful witch to me."

Odalia kissed Luz's cheek. Luz smiled at her mother as she continued eating the food, slowly growing less and less painful as she ate.

"I'll send Camila in after you get done eating." Odalia said, going to the door before stopping, "Oh, and before I forget... never do something like that again. I never want to watch you get your limbs cut off."

"Yes ma'am. It wasn't very good for me either." Luz said as she looked down to the cut off hand in questions.

Camila healed it immediately, but you could still see a thin line from where it was cut.

"Hey... at least I'm like mama." Luz said, pulling her hand off.

"Trust me... no one wants that." Odalia said.

Luz put the hand back on, allowing her to flex it to see it was still working.

'I don't know how that works and I don't want to know.' Odalia thought as she took the empty food tray and to leave.

"I'll send Mami up to heal you." Odalia said, giving Luz one more kiss to the cheek, "Love you, Sweetie."

"I love you too, mother." Luz said as Odalia left the room, leaving her to her thought.

'So much has happened and now, finally being able to do magic seems too small in comparison.' Luz thought as she reached for her gloves and held them.

"I... I'm a witch."

After all these years, after making so many weapons to fill the void, Luz can do magic like any other witch or demon now. She tried to put them on but stopped as it was painful.

"Ow."

"That sounds like a call for help." Camila said, "Don't worry, sweetie, I'll heal you."

Camila drew a spell circle to cast a healing spell on Luz, making her sigh in relief as Camila sat by her side and helped Luz put her gloves on.

'I'm going to have to stitch that hand back on.' Camila thought, 'I don't care what Eda says, we not letting any of our kids, especially the youngest have a detachable hand.'

"So, how's everyone else?" Luz asked her Mami.

"A bit better but all still sore. My diagnosis is that we'll all be back in full health in 2 days." Camila said.

"That's good. Has Lilith said anything about the coven yet?" Luz asked Camila.

"Not yet, but she said she has good news to tell us. She's on her way."

"That's good." Luz said with a smile. "Do you think Lilith will be the new coven head since Belos is gone?"

"Possibly or maybe Kikimora will take over the coven." Camila suggested.

That made Luz shiver, she did not trust that gremlin. Especially with the last time she and Luz crossed paths, the way she always spoke so condescendingly made her want to clock her in the face every time! They heard the door opened.

"Hello my wonderful nieces and nephew! I have wonderful news!" Lilith said.

Hearing her favorite aunt's voice, Luz perked up as she wanted to go hear the news. Knowing this, Camila carried Luz downstairs as Lilith came into the den.

"There's my little warrior." Lilith said, "I have gotten everything under control and now... I'm the Emperor."

Everyone gasped at this news before they cheered for Lilith! She was the overseer of the Isles, meaning they were technically royalty! Not that it matters but they're still happy for her.

"However, since I need to have an heir, and I have no intention of getting married, I have to pick one of you." Lilith said, "So, everyone, say hello to your new princess... Luz."

Everyone gasped in shock Belford they turned to Luz, seeing her jaw was dropped as her arms dangled uselessly.

"I'm…..a princess now?" Luz asked slowly.

"Yes, you are." Lilith said with a smile.

"It only makes sense that someone as brave as you, someone who rushed in to protect people despite not having magic, should be the heir." Lilith said.

"B-B-But there has to be better candidates! Like my sisters!" Luz said, doubting herself as she gestured to Emira, Skara, and Amity.

"What? Don't be stupid, sis. You're the best out of us to be the princess." Emira said to her.

"You... you mean it?"

"Of course. We can't think of anyone else as a better princess than you." Amity said to her.

"You'll be great, sis." Skara said with a thumbs up.

"Yeah, and just think of what Boscha will think." Edric said, making Luz blush.

"Oh, I can just see it now. You'll be spoiling your little girlfriend with all sort of trinkets." Eda said with a chuckle.

"I would not!" Luz said.

"You would." Everyone, including Lilith who hasn't even met Boscha, said.

Luz bemoaned as she covered her head, getting laughs from the whole family as it was funny seeing their new princess become embarrassed so easily.

"Don't worry, Luz, your future Empress will love everything you do for her." Lilith said.

"Can we just stop talking?" Luz said as she wanted to curl upon embarrassment.

The family had another laugh at their youngest and her embarrassment.

"Okay, okay, we'll stop teasing you." Raine said.

As much as Luz was embarrassed by her family, she loved them, and she wouldn't want anyone else.

'I wonder how Boscha is gonna take this news when I tell her?' Luz thought.

And we've come to the end of another story. I'm taking a break starting tomorrow, because I am in desperate need of one after all the chaos going on in this house lately. Leave your final Reviews.
