"To whomever reads this, however unlikely this eventuality, I feel compelled by my consciousness to say that this was a challenge fic that I am going to enjoy writing with a 'little' bit of shame. But I leave this story based on a wholesome manga and a wholesome site in confidence that He, in His infinite wisdom, will forgive us…"

All right, so I am going to be very honest. And this is important, so be sure to read it!

This is a HAREM. Writing a harem story from this series is an extremely hard and grueling task, and I've had to ask myself a lot of very hard to answer questions.

First off, the characters couldn't be in high school for obvious reasons, especially if I plan to have *happy little accidents* occur. So, I had to make a story with a world that could actually support a harem, as well as making sure that a harem is beneficial to all members of the harem itself. And since we know that world doesn't exist and isn't possible, this story will be an AU.

In this world, Naoto will have already graduated. He will be in his second year of college while Gamo, Yoshi, Nagatoro and Sakura are in their first year of college. This means the story will start with a reunion between the girls and their senpai. Slowly but surely, the girls start to grow increasingly more curious about their senpai. I don't want to make this an unbelievably drawn out slow-burn story, I would like to have fairly decent progression fairly early on. So, expect long chapters and quick burning action. I'm talking high-octane gas being set ablaze action.

Since I absolutely hate the more cliché tropes of harem-esque dramas, where the girls meet other guys and have a fling, I can affirm the girls in this story will NOT have any form of developing relationship with other guys other than Naoto. Do not ask me to do something like that either, I genuinely hate it. But feel free to leave me any other form of constructive criticism as well as any recommendations you have.

Before I curse this site with a harem story and ruin the reputation of Sham-Wow and us happy few in my team of Ryan Reynold wannabes, I feel compelled once more by my conscious to tell you that this story was made as challenge from a Reddit Post by Vitoraomega13.

May our souls rest in peace.

Crossing The Line

Chapter 1: The Card

It had been a long time since Naoto had last hung out with Nagatoro and her friends. He would assume it had been around eight months since he had seen them, at least. That wasn't to say that he didn't spend time together with them at all, no, he had been available to meet with them over his breaks and whenever they had the time to do so. He even managed to hang out with the Sunomiya's a few times whenever he could. Speaking of his own senpai, the two of them were much closer to each other now than they had been previously.

That was partly in thanks to Nagatoro and her friends all but conditioning and molding him into something new. While he was still just as humble as he had been in high school, he quite evidently had more confidence than he once had, which was apparent in the way he now carried himself. He held his head higher, and he moved with a sense of purpose. The teasing from the people he considered to be his closest friends in life had certainly helped him develop a stronger backbone, as well as give him a more optimistic overall view of life.

Yes, he was thankful to have them in his life. Despite all the pain they had sometime brought him, he always learned valuable things from them. And, when the pain subsided and they quickly fixed their mistakes, the gifts they gave him always remained to help in shaping him for the better and teaching him how to break out of his shell. Those gifts were the things he would treasure for the rest of his life, bought at a great price, but those gifts couldn't be obtained in any other way.

"Senpai!" Chimed the voice of a girl from behind him. He recognized the voice easily, since it belonged to the girl that he had—at one point—had a major crush on while he was in high school. He smiled brightly and stood from his spot, turning to meet the four of his closest friends.

Nagatoro had been the first to slam into him, hugging him in a tight embrace that gave him almost no space to move around. But carefully, he managed to snake his arms around the tanned girl's shoulders for only a few seconds. She was still just as attractive and short as she was when he was last in high school, though she was a lot more well-defined now. She had the hourglass figure that was simply to die for, and the tan she had from her swimming routine only added to her beauty. She pulled away shortly after that.

"It's good to see you, Senpai!" the girl beamed at him once more. Nagatoro had grown quite a bit in the last two years, meaning she aged much like a fine wine, growing in height and all the places that counted, even if it wasn't by a large amount.

"It's good to see you too!" Naoto said with a smile. Indeed, it was incredibly good to see her again after the many months they hadn't been around each other. Of course, they were in a group chat together, and messaged each other privately almost every day, but nothing beat seeing her and her friends in person. Nagatoro eventually moved out of the way to allow another one of them to approach him.

This time it was Sakura who took the lead and approached him. With the deft hands of someone who had done the movement a hundred times or more, she quickly wrapped her arms around him. She held him in a much gentler and tender embrace than Nagatoro did, he would eve go as far as to say it was something sensual for the gal. But he didn't think to much more about it—Sakura Inori had always been that way with him. Since the fake date they both went on together, she had always been more touchy-feely with him, and she often went to him to be comforted whenever she felt scared or sad. She also hardly ever made malicious jovial ribbing towards him, but instead she was a big tease.

Often times, she was the reason jealousy sometimes brew between him and Nagatoro. Her teasing was borderline flirtatious towards him in his last year of high school. She also wasn't scared to make sexual innuendos towards him, hinting at the desires she had. Despite how much of a flirt she was, as well as how open she was sexually, it was quite a shock for him to find out that she still held onto her virginity.

"Senpai-kun~" Sakura cooed out their nickname for him. The sound sent a shiver down his spine that left him with a tingly feeling inside, like butterflies in stomach, but was more similar to the feeling of ASMR. Her voice was like sex to his ears—not that he even knew what sex felt like, but he could guess, right? The girl continued, "I've missed you!"

"I've missed you too." Naoto spoke, his voice steady and low. The hug between the two of them felt drawn out, like Sakura didn't want to let go of him. Naoto moved his hand up to the girl's head and gently pat her. It was something that—at first—made him feel pretty uncomfortable, but it had been close to a year since he had started performing such acts of skinship with her. It all started in his last year of high school when Sakura had approached him about a stalker and asked him to go on a mock date with her. He smiled as he remembered her hugging into him and telling him what to do with his hands as he panicked in confusion. But like all good moments in life, they only lasted temporarily, and just as Naoto was starting to enjoy the feeling of her closeness, she pulled away from him.

The only two that remained were none other than Yoshi and Gamo. But the one who approached him first out of the two of them was quite surprising to him, to say the least. Why was it surprising? Well, it was Yoshi that moved up to him next. Yes, the cheerful sidekick of the group had finally moved of her own volition. She was the energetic and always-enthusiastic token airhead of the group, not usually doing anything that wasn't a mimic of Gamo. He honestly wasn't expecting the girl to hug him at all, especially given how limited their conversations usually were.

She stopped in front of him for a moment, her arms crossed behind her back. Naoto looked at her in confusion and wondered what it was that stopped her.

"S-sup senpai?" The poor dirty-blond haired girl asked him, stuttering the words out timidly. Naoto couldn't help but look at the girl quizzically. She usually didn't call him 'senpai,' she typically went with her normal 'sense.'

He was amazed. The girl in front of him showed a completely different vibe than what he remembered. Normally, Yoshi was the social butterfly of the group, and was also quite popular among the boys in high school, more so than both Nagatoro and Gamo combined, so seeing the girl fidgeting while talking to him was something that genuinely confused him. What was so different about him?

"Sup Yoshi, it's been a while." Naoto acknowledged casually, doing his best to not show his evident confusion from the actions of the girl that only got more confusing after his own greeting had been made.

"Y-yeah…" she muttered out, letting her arms fall back to her side. She was hesitant at first, like she didn't know what to do and he could clearly see the gears turning in her head. "Um..."

Yes, Yoshi wanted to hug him too, but unlike Sakura or Nagatoro, she wasn't sure to approach the situation. She wasn't sure how to ask, and she wasn't sure how to get closer to him. He hadn't thought about it too much before, but now that he saw the poor girl being aloof from deep thoughts that stimmed from a desire to do something that went beyond her comfort zone, it occurred to him that this would be the first time he would hug Yoshi.

And using the confidence and cool headedness that he had developed at the prospect of being an adult, he held his arms up in the notion that showed he was waiting for another hug and gave the girl the push she needed. "Come on, where's my hug?"

He watched as steady recognition began to fill the girl's beautiful hazel eyes, where he was sure at one point in time hadn't contained a single thought behind them, her eyes now sparkled and gleamed as a bright a joyful expression spread across her face like a wildfire. Almost immediately, the girl began her skip towards him with arms out and ready to clutch him a bear hug he certainly wasn't expecting.

She crashed into him and clutched onto him with a vice-like grip that he was positive he would have no chance of escaping from if he wanted. But he didn't want to. Wrapping his own arms around her, he noticed that she perked up slightly by his touch. By perked up—for a lack of better words—he meant the girl literally pushed her chest further into him, giving him an unintentional feel of the assets that she bore as weapons that began to siege against the mental barrier that he had mentally fortified to prevent his more 'man-like' thoughts from getting the better of him.

Yes, Yoshi had definitely grown up in more than just a few places. She was no doubt going to be yet another hit among the boys in college.

"I've missed you, Sense!" Yoshi suddenly said without a shred of hesitation. He couldn't help but smile brightly at the girl's comment. He decided to move one of his hands up to the girls head the same as he did for Sakura and began to gently stroke his fingers through her hair. When he realized who he was doing this to, he almost stopped himself, but chose to continue when he looked down at her. Yoshi had all but melted into him at his actions.

He hadn't ever been given a hug where his hair had been brushed like that before, but from the reaction that Yoshi had given him, he couldn't help but wonder how it felt. Was it calm and relaxing, or was it something closer to a tingly pleasure? He figured it had to have been some kind of good and enjoyable feeling, considering Sakura went to him a few times to receive such treatment to comfort her.

"I've missed you to, Yosh." Naoto replied, the nickname for her coming out of his mouth by accident. He wasn't entirely sure where it had come from either, but the girl didn't seem to mind it at all. In fact, it was the opposite. She enjoyed it.

Soon after that, she pulled away from him. As Yoshi stepped aside, that left him with only one other person left to make greetings with.

Gamo Maki.

She was—in his own eyes—the extremely attractive 'Amazon' of his friend group. She was an absolute beauty, with her fiery, orange-bleached hair that she kept scruffy and slightly unkempt to give herself the 'sexy bedhead' look that most men desperately lusted for. She had porcelain skin that was by no means 'delicate' but was still perfect by most means. She possessed expressive orange eyes that matched her eye-catching hair. She typically wore a pair of double piercings on her upper left ear that were usually hidden behind the strains of her hair. She had a toned, muscular, and flexible physique that would send most cultured men into a wild frenzy, especially with her very generous bust size that Naoto swore, at one point, had been the largest of his friend group and were often the source envy among her friends, especially Nagatoro.

Despite all these qualities that made her the dime-piece that she was, she always seemed to be the least experienced when it came to the other sex, despite her sexual confidence and lack of fear when it came to showing her body, boys never spoke to her, and as a result, she never spoke to them. The only exception to that being him. Not even to mention that she went to the summer festival—an event that was usually attended to by couples—with Yoshi. And when she saw him, she all but leaped at the chance to leash him in the literal sense. Until Nagatoro took him for herself after a prolonged period of texting and jovial ribbing, leaving Gamo alone with Yoshi to do whatever it was they had originally planned.

"Sup, Paisen~" Gamo's voice entered his ears, the sing-song voice that he was surprisingly familiar with from a karaoke night. She was also an amazing singer along her side her other traits, her voice had been like honey to his ears as she sung whatever she wanted without a care or regard in the world to what others thought about her. In fact, that was another one of the many attractive things about her. "You know what they say… save the best for last!"

Without much of any hesitation, Gamo suddenly flung herself into him, grabbing him in a grip that put Yoshi's to shame. She bear-hugged him, lifting him off the ground for a few second before placing him back down. After that, he managed to wrap his own arms around her back and pull her in closer to return the hug. However, this time, he chose not to move his hand at all but simply leave it resting on her upper back. An action she noticed.

"No head massage for me? I see how it is, Paisen." Gamo half-joked with him.

You see, Naoto might have been a lot of things. He might have been a bit clumsy; he might have been a bit weak, and he might have been a little too aware of how long and close each of their hugs had been because he might have even been a bit of a closeted pervert. But despite possibly being all of these things, he certainly wasn't addled in the head. He moved one of his hands up to her head and began to gently run his fingers through her hair like a comb.

In that brief moment, he noticed a few different things happen. The first being that her grip on him relaxed slightly. The next thing he noticed was that she shifted the position her head was in, where she had originally sat her chin on his shoulder, she now tilted her head into the crook of his neck in an almost sensual manner. Next, he noticed her smell. She donned the scent of a strawberry cream shampoo and lavender fabric softener, a smell that filled his head with a cloudy haze. She was so close that he swore he could feel her lips very gently grazing his neck.

"I've missed you most." The girl cooed out. Similar to Sakura, the sound was something that sent shivers through his body exactly how Sakura's own tone did. But Gamo's sounded more refined, coming out as a satisfying lull that made him feel 'drawn in.' Gamo was similar to a siren—as in the mythical creature—when she used her voice in sing-song fashion, she could enchant and lure people in. She was also dangerous, so a siren felt like a proper description for her.

He paused; he wasn't able to form a thought as her words registered in his mind. Most? He couldn't help but wonder where the comment had come from and thinking about it made his head hurt more than he cared to admit. Did the girl in his arms have some feelings for him he hadn't been aware of? Surely, he was just joking himself with that thought, there wasn't any conceivable way that could be true.

Right?

"I've missed you too, Gamo." Naoto eventually breathed out, causing the girl to squeeze him tighter for only a moment before she inevitably pulled away from him. She looked at him with her signature smile and with eyes that sparkled with a playfulness behind them. He didn't much longer after that think, instead he gestured to the table he had reserved for their meeting prior to their arrival.

"I suppose we should all have a seat now. Anyone else feeling hungry?" Naoto asked as he moved to sit at the table for five that he had reserved. Earning nods and murmurs of agreement from them as they all moved to sit around the table with him.

The restaurant all of them had decided to eat at was a fairly new addition to their town, and it was surprisingly an American themed one at that, something quite rare. They served steak and ribs, from six-ounce sirloin all the way to twelve, chicken platters, seafood trays, fried seafood trays, sandwiches, and handcrafted burgers, all served with two sides and a drink… and there was even a special menu that served specialty meals clearly meant for two for only a few thousand yen. In other words, it was a great deal, alongside being great food.

Soon after all of them had sat down, a waiter approached them, dressed in a casual attire consisting of black pants, and black button-up shirt with an apron.

"Hello, my name is Kuriko, and I'll be your waiter today. What may I serve you all to drink today?" The girl with long brown hair and delicate facial features asked them, pulling out a notepad and pen.

"I'll start with a… Melon Fanta." Naoto spoke out, looking at the impressive list of drinks, from the famous and classic Japanese Ramuné to drinks he had never heard of. Not knowing what to pick, he went with one more familiar.

"I'll have an Orange Juice!" Yoshi quickly said next, as if the name of the drink had called out to her.

"I would like to have a Strawberry Ramuné, please." Sakura spoke next, making Naoto feel better about his own choice.

"I'll have a coke, please." Nagatoro requested, looking over some of the many entrees the restaurant offered.

"And I'll take a Dr. Pepper. That sound cool." Gamo finished off as the waiter wrote down all of the orders and excused herself.

For a moment, there was a stagnant silence as everyone looked over and decided on their own meals. Naoto knew what he wanted well before they arrived, so he just pretended to look for something to eat as they searched, not wanting to make them feel rushed to choose. Thankfully, the stagnant silence between them that seemed to last for more than a few minutes, was interrupted by the waiter, who returned with their drinks on a large platter.

After handing each of them their individual orders in large, glass, frosted-over mugs, she pulled the same notebook she had previously used out and grabbed her trusted pen. "Would any of you like to start with an appetizer today?"

"Yes, I'll take a plate of crabcakes." Naoto quickly requested. He had been eyes the Japanese-style crabcakes for quite a while now.

"Would you like a full plate of twelve or six?"

"Twelve, please." Naoto might have been spending more money this way, but he didn't mind. He was sure the girls would love the cakes as soon as they tried them, so that made them worth it in his books. And besides, he had come into the restaurant with the intentions of paying for all of them as a surprise.

"Anything else for Appetizers?" The waiter asked, looking between the inhabitants of the table as all of them but Yoshi shook their heads.

"Harumaki!" Yoshi quickly added. "Six please."

"Alright. And what would you all like for your entrées?" the waiter quickly asked.

As each of them ordered whatever it was their hearts desired. Yoshi ordered an impressive, tasty-looking Sweet Bourbon Burger, while Sakura and Nagatoro ordered things that seemed more 'traditional.' At first, Sakura had been hesitant to order what she wanted, but Naoto offered to help her and thus she ordered Peppercorn-Crusted Short Ribs with lemon, olives, and Radishes. Nagatoro ordered a Cured Fluke with Yogurt and Togarashi. (Alright, so most of these are from restaurants I've tried in Misawa, Japan. It is a very American-influenced area, so I have no idea if these are everywhere in Japan, but they are more high-end dishes.)

Gamo ordered something a little more expensive than he expected, but it was all good, he knew he could afford it given his recent success with his art. Gamo ordered a Roasted Rack of Lamb, served Japanese style with sweet soy sauce, finely chopped scallions and a chickpea salad on the side. He ordered an A-5 steak with a side of chicken Gyoza, much to the shock of the girls of the table. After that, the waiter left them alone.

"So, Senpai, what have you been up to since the last time we've seen each other?" Nagatoro asked, breaking the silence that formed between them again.

"Ah! Actually, I've been working as an illustrator! I've been drawing scene and images for some people in America! They pay quite well actually, but the work can be quite hard sometimes. They are authoring a book together, or something like that, and wanted to have scene in it like a manga. So, I've been drawing their characters and I've also been making their book covers!" Naoto explained in excitement. He was proud of his drawings, and he was proud to be working with the group from America, regardless about the difficulties that had often come from communication.

"Oh wow, so Senpai has finally seen some success with his arduous work?" Nagatoro ribbed at him, but he was expecting this.

"Yeah! Hold on, I'll show you some pictures of what I've worked on!" Naoto quickly added, pulling his phone out and using the fingerprint scanner on the back to open it quickly. Swiping over to his images and opening his saved project files, he pulled open the picture of the book cover he had created. It was a beautiful book cover with lots of colors. There was a giant blue tree that looked like it was glowing brightly, and above were two moons. A beautiful full and blue one, and beside it was a much smaller red one. Below that, on the ground, beautiful crystals grew and there was also a cloaked figure seen walking towards the tree.

He flipped his phone around to show them all. They all huddled together to look at the image carefully, and soon, expressions of awe filled their faces. He took pride in the fact his art had put expressions of amazement to their faces.

"You made this, Senpai-Kun?" Sakura asked, as if she couldn't believe what she was looking at.

"Indeed, I did! If you swipe left, you can see some of the other things I've drawn for their book!" Naoto explained, causing Nagatoro—who held his phone now—to swipe left, and then keep swiping left. He didn't mind, it wasn't like he had any images on his phone that he needed to hide, and he certainly didn't have any dick pictures in his phone either. That was never his speed anyway.

"You drew all of these?" Nagatoro asked as she handed his phone back. He took it back and turned it off, placing it back into his pocket.

"Yup! Each of the pictures you saw they paid around twenty-thousand yen for, and the book cover was forty-thousand yen! And the best part is, they want me to do the same thing for eight more books!" Naoto beamed as he explained his current situation. That's right, in his personal opinion, he was making money from simply doing what he enjoyed and loved. All while helping him build his own career as a manga author and Graphics Design major.

"Well, it seems Paisen is making some good money, you should be paying for us poor people!" Gamo joked out, teasing him with a laugh that the others joined in on. He laughed alongside them; he couldn't help himself but find that joke to be ironic. They didn't know yet that he was going to pay for them. But he wasn't going to tell them that yet, that would just ruin the surprise.

"What about you all?" Naoto decided to ask, tabling the tables, and flipping the question back around to them.

"I work at a nail saloon!" Sakura said quickly, with an infectious smile. He thought that was pretty fitting for her.

"That's sounds nice and relaxing. Do you make good friends there?" Naoto asked with a smile, continuing the conversation, and earning a nod from the always soft-spoken Sakura.

"I work at my parent's Boxing Gym." Gamo shared with a smile of her own. "They give me an allowance and let me keep some of the money I get from training people how to box!"

"That's good! I bet you have a lot of fun there!" Naoto added, looking at Gamo as she began to open her mouth to speak once more.

"Yeah! I get to do what I love and make some money on the side, same as you!" Gamo added before continuing. "College is going to be very interesting; I still don't know what I'm going for!"

"Haha, I know a few people who are like that, so don't worry, that's completely normal. You'll figure out something, I have no doubt." Naoto continued with the smile, earning yet another nod from the orange-haired Amazon. He turned to Yoshi next, who was simply fidgeting in her seat and waiting to speak out but held her tongue. The poor girl looked conflicted in her seat, so he sought to help he out once more.

"What about you, Yoshi? What have you been up to?" He asked the girl, she perked up again and her eyes went bright.

"I work at CoCos!" she said quite quickly, like she had been wanting to get it off her chest for quite some time. That genuinely took him by surprise by a bit. He knew the girl had a love for Karaage and Sushi—something he learned two years ago when had shared his Bento with them all—so hearing about her employment at a Curry restaurant was quite incredible.

"Really? I will need to go there sometime while you work and eat in! I didn't know you worked there! Take it easy on the spice level for me please, I can't do very spicy food." He half-joked, having the full intention of actually visiting her one day while she worked. He looked away from the beaming girl who now shined like the sun itself to look at Nagatoro.

"I don't have a job yet; I just want to focus on school!" The tanned girl exclaimed with a smile of her own.

"I understand that, I would be in the same position if it wasn't for my art." Naoto related to Nagatoro with a nod of his head. After that, there was small pause between their conversation as the waiter returned to their table with two plates.

"Here are your appetizers! I'll be back momentarily to collect the plates and bring you the entrées." The waiter said with a bright smile, quickly scurrying off with a pep in her step that Naoto had missed the first time she came to their table.

Nagatoro grabbed one of the mini crabcakes and ate it in a few small bites. The expression that began to form on her face confirmed for him what she thought of the food, so he reached out and grabbed one as well. He had silverware and chopsticks but deciding to keep things more 'normal' for an American restaurant, he began to eat the thing with his hand. It was more of a hand food anyway.

As soon as he tasted the mini crab cake, it was an explosion of tanginess from the mayonnaise, mustard and spices that was used to hold the breadcrumbs together. And it was also deep-fried to near perfection in his eyes. He couldn't help himself but reach for another. He drank down a bit of his Melon Fanta to help him swallow the crabcakes and couldn't help himself but to immediately want more.

Soon enough, Gamo and Sakura had decided to try one of the many crabcakes that still remained. As the two of them tried the appetizer, they had immediately adopted the same facial expression that Nagatoro had, looks of absolute bliss that he could only recognize from that one time he shared his Bento.

Though they hadn't spoken a word since they started eating the appetizer, time seemed to fly as they had finished their appetizer. And just as he began to think of a conversation starter, a set of double doors suddenly burst open with a start, and as the culprit of noise walked into his view, he noticed something else. Not only was it a guy who had caused the ruckus, in his arms were two girls. If he was a good gauge of age, he assumed the two girls were around his age, and judging by the way the two girls clung to the guy, he had to assume the relationship was explainable in one word: polygamous.

That was one thing about his long life that had always marveled him. You see, thanks to the cliché reason of birthrates being abysmally low, not only were men allowed to have multiple partners—only if both the male and the female in the relationship allowed it—then men were allowed to have multiple partners. But it wasn't just anyone that was allowed to do this. No, no, wouldn't that just too much of a parallel paradise?

Instead, men were 'selected' to have those privileges, and it was only available to men who were healthy, intelligent and had no known illnesses or major illness backgrounds. Yes, that's right. The reality that Naoto lived in was that dream world that he was sure most people thought it was. He hadn't even paid too much attention to the multiple 'act' that appeared around campus, he hadn't been interested either. Not only did he not have much luck with girls, he was also constantly worried about the jealousy that had often erupted in those kinds of relationships.

However, there was just one catch…

"How unfortunate, I bet Senpai would love to be selected, wouldn't he?" Nagatoro teased him with a large smile. "To be sitting at a table with four cute and desirable women and still not having any luck."

Typically, Naoto would have just brushed her malicious jovial ribbing to the side and not let it get to him. Well, it still got to him, but he never let it permanently bother him. But this time, he had something different in mind. He reached into his pocket and pulled out his bi-fold wallet. Reaching with his fingers past his driver's license, and campus ID, he reached the one thing that he had been searching for.

He pulled out a white card with small, blue writing in background that said, "Ministries of Japan." The card itself had a picture of him on it, with his full name, birth date, his contact information as well and a few stars. On the back side of the car, it had information, such as an ID number and even a QR code for medical benefits.

That's right. Naoto had been selected. The only reason he kept the card on him was because of the medical benefits that came with it. It was medical care for life that he didn't pay a dime for. Free dental, free everything. Deciding to face the situation with his own joke towards the group, he held the card up.

"Actually, I did get selected." He spoke with the confidence he didn't know he had.

Smiles vanished off the girl's faces in that moment. Looks of recognition spread across their faces as thoughts he couldn't possibly understand began to form in each of the girl's heads. He swallowed a lump in his throat that wasn't there previously. Shortly after that, the group of girls looked among each other without saying a single word. He was sure there was some kind of female telepathy going on that he hadn't known existed before hand.

Soon, the card that was in his hand, was no longer in his hand. But in the hands of Nagatoro as she and the others analyzed the thing for all of its worth. Again, recognition hit them as they looked at the piece of plastic like it held the power of the Infinity Stones.

And then their heads snapped up, each of them holding an expression he couldn't quite place that fell somewhere between being immodest, affectionate and almost sadistically happy. Maybe… lustful was a better word for it.

He swallowed hard again. What situation did he just put himself into willingly this time? The waiter came to collect their plates, but after seeing the card and the expressions the girls made, she simply chose to turn and walk back into the kitchen.

He laughed awkwardly.

End of Chapter 1: The Card

You know the deal. If you enjoyed, leave me a review. I'll consider posting this on Wattpad and AO3.

"But Shamastus, there are character problems with this chapter!" -Yeah, about personalities conflicting, right? I'll get to it, I do want to try my best to keep their personalities exactly the same, but more mature. I'll figure it out, or this story will just get the axe.

Constructive criticism is welcome, and in this particular case, I accept your hate as well, with a heart of gold.

-Stay Awesome!
