*Bella POV*
Edward was kind of distracted throughout the night. And not the way I would like.
"Edward? Whats.. whats wrong?" I asked, worriedly. He shook his head, I guess trying to revive himself from his little daydream.
"Oh, nothing, Love." He said. My face fell, and he noticed. "Its nothing to worry about. Its just.. we might have some explaining to do when Nessie wakes up." I raised and eyebrow,
"What do you mean?" I asked, curious.
"Well, sometimes I read her mind when she sleeps, to watch her dreams, and get an idea of what it might feel like to sleep." He explained. I nodded. "But thats beyond my point. Well, she had a brief glance of a couple vampires, with red eyes, in black cloaks." I immediately understood.
"The Volturi." I meant to ask, but it came out as more of a disgusted curse word.
"Yes." Edward nodded. "But, we have nothing to worry about. They're not going to make any visit. They have no reason to, since, your a vampire and all." I sighed, relieved. "But we're still not in the clear of explaining them to Renesmee." I sighed another sigh- on of a teenager who was just told by their parent to do something they didn't want to do.
"Alright. But you're doing the most of it." I ordered. And I gave him the look I see Alice, Esme, and Rose give Jasper, Carlisle, and Emmett that always seems to work.
"That looks not going to work on me." He said all high and mighty. I hardened my glare, and when that didn't seem to work, I came up with my own method.
Lets just say I have my own way of persuasion, if you know what I mean.
"Dang it, Bella." He sighed, and gave up. I grinned triumphantly. I tried to move, and he said, very seductively, "Oh, you're not getting up now." I giggled, and we proceeded on, him distracted in the good way, this time.
We again broke apart when the sun began to rise. Time to make some brekki for my Nessie! I made her a big stack of blueberry pancakes. The smell, still revolting to me, made her stomach growl when she took in the aroma.
She moaned and groaned throughout the whole meal. Huh, I guess no one really cooked for her before. When she was done, she came over, and washed her own dishes. Well at least she has some responsibility. I was proud.
When she was finished, she came over, placed her hand on my cheek, and replayed the scene in her dream I was dreading to explain.
"Uh..." I started, and looked at Edward. He motioned for me to continue, and I snarled at him. He smirked, and said,
"Payback." And winked.
"Oh, I'll show you payback." I threatened, him knowing exactly what I meant.
That did it. "Okay, Nessie!" He began. "Well, those vampires you saw were the Volturi, who are like the vampire royal police." Wow, I could have said that much.
I gave him a look.
"What?" He said. "Thats what they are!" I rolled my eyes. I knew exactly what he was doing. Trying to beat around the bush so I would get annoyed and say the dirty. Well, apparently I was stubborn, so, I'm not going to let him win. I just kept on staring at him, taunting him. He sighed. "Okay, Ness. Long story short, the Voltuir make the rules. And, if any vampire disobeys those rules, they go bye-bye."
"Dad, I'm not three." She chided. I laughed. I love my daughter.
"Well, I mean thats all there is to it. They make the rules, and we have to follow them." He stated, short and simple. And, he was right. That's how it is.
"Well, what are some of the rules?" She asked, genuinely curious. I stepped in,
"Well, the main one is that we should never, ever, reveal what we are." I eyed Edward. We both shuddered at the memory. Renesmee placed her hand on Edwards cheek, I grimaced, and nodded. "What?" I asked.
"She was asking if what you were referring to was, well, you know."
"Oh." I said, my mouth making and 'O' shape.
"Well, as long as we don't give the Volturi a reason to interfere with us, they wont."
Renesmee nodded. "Okay, well, thats all I really wanted to know. Thanks!" She said, and went upstairs to take a shower. I then heard some noise outside. I dashed out to investigate.
Wow, Esme wasn't kidding when she said she was literally starting to build my house today. But I wouldn't want a whole house for myself...
"Hey, Esme!" I shouted, which was unnecessary, but I was still used to practicing to act like a human to fit in in public.
"Yes, dear?" She replied, quickly. I walked over to her.
"I was thinking that one house would be to big for just me, so, maybe someone else could move in." I asked, not exactly having a certain person in mind. But then, I remembered Sadie.
"Oh, why sure!" She exclaimed. I fist pumped in the air, and did a back flip in the air. I hardly ever take advantage of my new extra strength and stability that comes with being a vampire, so, I decided to play around a bit.
I heard two laughs, and I saw Renesmee standing watching me, along with Alice. I motioned for them to come and join me, and they did.
Who knows how long we continued to do so. But, it was fun. We didn't notice that we had an audience. When we looked, the whole family was staring at us, very amused.
"Oh, like you've never done it!" I accused. They all shrugged sheepishly, and then came to join us.
It was a great moment. We all just stopped sometime later, but everyone really enjoyed the family gathering thing.
I really wanted to find Sadie, though. She said she mainly stays in Canada. She never said which part, though. I then made a decision to go hunt for her. Hunt meaning in a good way.
"Bella!" Alice said. "You cant go!" Everyone looked at her weird, but then looked at me, worried.
"Guys, I'm not leaving!" I reassured. There faces then looked relieved.
"But!" Alice began.
"Alice, I want to go look for my friend, Sadie. Thats all. I promise." I explained. She looked happy, again.
"Oh, okay!" She beamed. I shook my head and chuckled at her.
"I could never leave you guys, I love you all too much!" They all 'awh'ed. "I want to leave right away, though. The sooner the better. You guys will love her!"
"Oh, I know." Alice boasted. I playfully punched her shoulder, and she began to wrestle, laughing the whole time.
When we finally stopped, Edward then announced,
"Okay, but I'm coming with you." I couldn't agree more. I couldn't dare leave him behind, no matter how short a period I would be gone.
"Okay, good." I finished. "Ness, you want to go?" I asked, knowing she probably would.
"Well, I do, but, I have to sleep, unlike you guys. So, I think I'll stay here. I'm sorry Mom." She looked guilty.
"Oh, its okay baby. We wont be gone too long." I said.
We all hugged everyone goodbye, and we were on our way.
We've been searching for about five days now. With no such luck. The only good thing about it was a new hunting variety. I knew Edward enjoyed that. Heck, I enjoyed it!
"Edward, I guess we can start heading back, now." I said defeated. He put his finger under my chin, and pulled my face up to look in his eyes. I could tell it hurt him to see me hurting.
"Love, we'll stay as long as you want. I just want you to be happy." He soothed, and lightly kissed me. Even though I was a vampire, that electric feeling I had always felt towards him as a human never went away. But, hey, I'm not complaining.
We pulled away, and I could see the love in his eyes.
"Well, we can always come back another time." I said. "We do have forever, you know." I laughed, at my own joke, and so did he.
"Okay, Love." He said, and picked me up bridle style, and spun me around. I let a joyous laugh rise through the air. It was an amazing moment, and I never wanted it to end,
"Belllaaaa!" I heard a girl voice sing. Edward let me down, and I barely had time to see flash a red hair, before being tackled onto the ground.
I knew exactly who it was, and I gave her the biggest hug.
When we broke apart, we stood up, and thats when I took her fully in.
She looked the same, except for one thing.
I gasped, and a jolt of excitement hit me when I look at her.
Into her golden eyes.
Well, we all know the drill here.
