Epilogue
Years have passed since I got together with Itachi. The Akatsuki wasn't active anymore and everyone went their separate ways. We all still got together once in a while and just hung out like family. I happy they were all able to find closure about their issues. As promised, I did go visit my friends in Konoha. They were always happy to see me, but sadly we had to meet in secret. Konoha had finally told all the villagers that the Akatsuki was no longer a threat to them. I was happy that I would finally be able to see everyone openly.
"Come on, Suteki, it's time to go." I called to my small daughter. Yes, I have a daughter, she's six years old. Itachi and I still loved one another as strongly as when I decided to stay with them. I had named her after my mother. She had black silky hair and striking grey eyes. She was very good at chakra control and I was impressed.
'Just think of it as a little gift from me to you.' Ookami had told me. Itachi and I were going to go visit everyone. I was happy to know that they were all happy and had also found love.
Naruto had settled down with a quiet girl I had seen a handful of times named Hinata.
Lee had gotten together with a girl from his team named Tenten.
Gaara was Kazekage to the village hidden in the sand and from the times I had visited him, he was happy with his brother and sister as his bodyguards.
Takashi went back to our old village and the people there didn't hate me quite so much anymore. They didn't like me, but they also didn't want me to drop dead which was a great improvement.
As for Sasuke, he got together with his number one fangirl. Yup, Sakura had actually managed to be with Sasuke. Who would've guessed?
I was living happily with Itachi and our daughter. We still lived in that same house in the woods. I picked up Suteki and went outside. My chakra came out and formed a ginormous wolf. It had almost blindingly white fur with striking blue highlights. It's eyes were the sharpest grey and it had three tails. Yes, I had finally mastered my control. I haven't snapped and lost control in years. I could still go to my wild appearance in the blink of an eye and was in perfect control when I did. I could let Ookami out once in a while if I was very well rested. I jumped on her and Itachi followed my lead. I sat down Suteki and patted Ookami's head. My hair turned the same as her fur and my eyes went bright blue.
"To the leaf village?" She asked.
"Yup, we're going to see some friends." I said. She let out a howl and ran forward. We were there in no time. She walked up to the gates and the ninja looked panicked. "Hey, you guys mind opening the gates?!" I called down to them. They saw me and had relief on their faces.
"Oh, it's just you Jinrou! Sure!" They called back to me and opened the gates. Ookami trotted in and everyone turned to stare. I stopped at the ramen stand we agreed to meet up in. I hopped off with Suteki on my shoulders and Itachi did the same. Ookami shrunk to the size of a normal wolf and I smiled at everyone as my appearance went back to normal. Suteki jumped off me and ran at Sasuke.
"Uncle Sasuke!" She squealed as she hugged him. He smiled and hugged her back. I saw Sakura and Hinata were looking big. I smirked at them.
"I see you two have some buns in the old oven." I said making Hinata blush. Sakura just smirked. We all sat down and ordered ramen. Ookami sat down on the floor and was also given a bowl. We ate and chatted and made jokes just like we used to. I was so happy with how my life was and couldn't help thinking back to the little girl I used to be. It's thanks to her that I am where I am today. I smiled and cracked a joke making everyone laugh. Yes, life was good, and I hope it stays that way.
