Chapter 1
"…Chikorita." The green skinned Pokemon with the leaf on its head jumped into my arms/
"Would you like to give your Pokemon a nickname?" Elm asked as I looked at it
"Any reason?"I asked. Chikorita sounded like an already fine name
"It's to grow a stronger bond with your Pokemon." The professor saud.
I looked at my starter for a moment and decided to name it. "Hello Kyle"
"Chika" It said, seeming happy with his new name. It jumped out of my arms.
"So Mr. Pokemon's house is on Route 30. Just pick up what he has and bring it back and then you'll sign me up for the gym challenge. All of that sounds right?" I asked, knowing the answer. Elm nodded. "See you when I get back." I said and left.
I made it through Route 29 without incident. An old man stopped me as I entered Cherrygrove City.. "Wait, Lass, is this your first time in a major town?" I looked around
"Can't be that major without a gym." I said looking at the old man..
"No we don't have that but you seem like a rookie trainer so i can give you some tips." The old man told me
"Why not?" I said to him, He showed and told me all about Pokemon Center's, Poke Marts, the way to Route 30, the sea and even his house.
"Well thanks for listening to this old man. Here's a map car you can put in your Pokegear." He said
"You're just giving me this." I said. I was a bit worried.
"Of course you made this old man's day by having a youngster like yourself keeping an old man company. Even if it wasn't that long. So please take this map card as a thank you."
"Well thank you sir." I said as I took it and added it to my Pokegear.
I then went on my way to Route 30 and found Mr. Pokemon's house. I walked in. "Great old people." I thought as I entered.
"Ah Selena right?" One of the old man I guessed was Mr. Pokemon asked
"That;s what they call me." I said. Mr. Pokemon turned and ran to a cabinet where he took an egg and handed it to me.
"This is what I want Professor Elm. to research ." He told me.. "I think it's a Pokemon egg."
Just then the other person walked up and said "So you're the Sleena. While I was visiting my friend Mr. Pokemon here he told me that a new trainer was on the way. So I wanted to see what kind of trainer you would be. " He then stared intently. It kinda creeped me out. "I have an errand for you young Miss.""
"What?" I said
"First off, my name is Professor Oak. YOu see This is an updated Pokedex with all 251 Pokemon that are here and in the Kanto region. Would you be willing to…" Oak started
"I'll do what I can." Selena finished for him. Professor Oak was astonished and handed her a Pokedex to her
"Well I have a radio show to get to. I hope you'll swing by if you go to Goldenrod City.." With that Oak took his leave
"Well why don't you rest here and make the trek back when your reseted." Mr. Pokemon said to me
"I'm fine. I said and I opened the door and walked out. I then got a phone call from Professor Elm. I couldn't make out a word of what he said. "I'll be back soon." Was all I said as I ended the call.
I made it back to Cherrygrove and was about to head back onto Route 29 when the red haired boy I saw earlier came up to me. "Humph you got a Pokemon at the lab. That Pokemon is too good for a wimp ;like you. I'll prove to you that my Pokemon is better. He then sent out a Cyndaquil. But after a fierce Tackle battle Kyle won.
"Crap I lost" He said then he dropped his wallet, pass port, credit card, trainer card, social security, target gift card on the ground for the world to see,
"Dude get your crap together." I said He picked up his crap and left. I just sighed and with Kyle now at level 6 we made our way back to New Bark Town. When I was about to exit the route a small green Pokemon with tiny wings dropped a memo in my hands.
All it said was "You are chosen" The note glowed and disappeared but that was not the weirdest thing to me
"Well that was weird." I said.
"Totally." A voice said
"Your Nuzlocke challenge begins now." A second voice said but I was still looking for the sound of the first voice
"What are you looking for Selena?" The first voice spoke again.
"Where are you?" I asked
"Down in front of you." I looked at Kyle who had a look of confusion on his face.
"Kyle are you…" I asked backing up
"Yep. I'm talking but as per the Nuzlocke rules you are the only one that can hear me." And as kyle said that I sighed
"My journey is a Nuzlocke…" I then looked up with a smile on my face. "Fine, bring it on. But let's give this eff to Elm first."
"Alright." Kyle said
After the trainer from three years ago Jake completed his challenge a name was given to his challenge that was placed upon him. It wasn't until recently that the name Nuzlokce was established. No one seemed to know who set the name up but Nuzlocke was the name that stuck so that's what we're calling it.
Anyhow I walked into Elm's. "Selena, they stole my Cyndaquil."
I sighed,"I was gone for an hour at best. How could a Pokemon be stolen… ``Wait a minute, did you say Cyndaquil was stolen?"
"Yes, " Elm said. " Wait, do you know who took my Cyndaquill?"
IT'S THE COPS." a cop said bursting into the lab.
"Great. Well here's your egg." I said bringing it over to Elm and handing it to him. Then I turned to the cop. "You're looking for a long red haired boy named Silver
"Oh right Selena you're all set for the gym challenge." I nodded and was about to stop
"Wait Selena." His aide stopped me before I left. You can use these Pokeballs so that way you can capture them and take them with you.
"Okay let's do this ." I said as I left the lab
Little did I know the danger of doing this challenge
