Welcome to A Collection of YuRise!

This was created at my need for more YuRise.

I'm just going to keep this story as complete seeing as I don't know how many stories there'll be.

Also, Imma be using second tier Personas (Except for Yu. He'll use Izanagi (But he'll have Izanagi-no-Okami's Skills)).

With that being said, Enjoy!

Fighting Spirit

She isn't sure how they ended up in this creepy TV world-like world, but she knows one thing: she's not going to let Yu protect her, not when she can fight too.

Wherever they were, she didn't like it.

The atmosphere was cold and it creeps up her spine as if it's waiting for the chance to snatch and keep her there forever.

Where she would see TV ads, static takes its place. Dark veins, at least that's what it looks like to her, she didn't actually want to touch it, cover the walls and pillars.

And shadows.

There were lots of shadows.

If she didn't know any better, she'd think they were back in the TV World.

Out of pure habit, Rise reaches into her pocket, disappointed at the lack of glasses in it.

Beside her Yu had already donned his own and she giggles.

"Didn't think you still had it." She answered at his confused stare.

He smirks, "You reached for yours too."

"Only because we do it so often," She insisted, "I know I don't have mine with me."

Nope. Instead, she had a retractable bo staff hidden in her belt. No particular reason why she had it, but it does serve as a nice means of defence should some thug or crazed fan try to do anything uncomfortable with her.

Definitely not because she felt the need to have some sort of weapon after she was separated from the rest of her friends and had to fight alone. Definitely not because she had a taste of being in an actual fight and not stand at the sidelines and she wants that exhilarating feeling again.

"Can you tell where we are?" He asks.

Nodding, Rise summons Kanzeon and scans. A gentle reminder that her Persona was a navigator. That the battle form was a one time thing. She knew that much when they were dancing with Shadows.

She finished the scan, "Seems like we're underground." That was as much as she could gauge. Anything else feels like static trying to block her sight.

Almost as if someone was keeping her out.

She feels Yu's hand grip her shoulder and the waves of reassurance he sends her, "So up we go."

And they walked in silence on the train tracks that line most of the floor, avoiding as many Shadows as they could.

They had to if they wanted to conserve energy, seeing that they have no idea how long they'll be there.

When you accidentally end up in another world unprepared, conservation is absolutely necessary.

Eventually, they arrive at the most normal thing there, a platform leading them deeper into the place.

They didn't bother going any lower in fear that they'd only get more lost, finding platforms that'd take them up instead.

Besides, the Shadows on the top floor are weak enough that they run away from them. That was good. The less they encounter, the less energy they'd use.

It was all going fine, until the sound of chains haunts the place and Yu swears.

He takes her hand, asks her to find the location of it and they go the other way.

They try their best to avoid it.

There was one flaw in their plan, they quickly realise: unlike the TV World, the Shadow wasn't in a chest.

Her genuine fear when it phased through the door in front of them and they were forced to battle it.

Running away was also pointless. It caught up to them every single time.

Their only hope was to fight it.

On the contrary, they probably should have fought some Shadows. At least then the probability that they'd have healing items would be slightly higher.

She's definitely going to have an emergency stash of them from now on.

For now, she and Kanzeon can help, but they could only do so much.

She needs her Persona's battle form. That's the only way she can really help.

But she didn't even know how to cause the change again.

Now Yu's forced to fight a possibly losing battle and she's here, useless.

Useless…

That word freezes her in place.

No.

Echoes of that Golden Week resonate within her. When she felt as she did now.

Not any more.

Her heart flares with the need to protect the one she loves.

She recognises the feeling. That same feeling all those years ago when Inaba was under a giant moon and shrouded in a red fog. She taps into that power.

She isn't sure how they ended up in this creepy TV world-like world, but she knows one thing: she's not going to let Yu protect her, not when she can fight too.

He's exhausted, but he won't admit that.

Not when he and Rise's in danger as long as the Reaper exists.

Yu narrowly dodges an attack and summons his Persona to retaliate, heart beating wildly.

Never did he wish for his team back now more than ever.

Selfish as it sounded, he would never want to put them at a risk like this, at least they can rotate around, their energy and health wouldn't drain so quickly.

Here, he's alone, only with Rise's support and while he'd rather have that than no one at all, they both know it's not enough.

It kills him the fact that Izanagi's his only means of defence right now.

He didn't even have his sword-

Another Megidolaon and instantly, he knows he's empty.

He can tell by the sudden heaviness in his steps, the way the world becomes a blur and he can only make out shapes, how Rise's voice that's usually so clear sounds distant and far…

He falters and falls backwards-

Someone holds him steady and he regains his footing.

Based on the process of elimination, he can guess who.

Yu blinks slowly, in hopes that it'll clear up the fog in his vision. Dazedly, he notices Rise in front of him, gripping on a bo staff, ready to attack, "How long have you had that?"

"Don't tell me you don't still have that katana of yours."

He hates how long it takes for him to process the answer and how much longer it takes for him to respond, "Touché."

But he didn't have that with him right now. He already almost went to prison once, and that was with fakes. He wouldn't risk that again.

But maybe if he had it with him he wouldn't have to use so much of Izanagi's power.

He couldn't hide it in his uniform anymore, but maybe a bag...

Rise continues, "You've done lots of damage, I can tell. I'll just have to finish it off."

Warnings, demands, questions swarm his head. Too fast to process. Too much to handle.

It's dangerous

stay back

You shouldn't be there

Izanami takes his friends in their persistence to protect him.

I don't want to lose you.

"So get some rest. I'll handle this."

Yu wants to deny her. And he would if his mouth wasn't refusing to open.

Was it always this hard to breathe?

He's suddenly all too aware of just how tired he was.

Embarrassedly, or not, he was too worn out to actually feel, he collapses on the, strangely comforting, but he won't admit that, floor.

Rise nods, pleased with herself and turns to the Reaper.

He senses a new surge of power from her and he's reminded that she had fought alongside them before.

He's never actually seen her Persona's battle form. Only heard stories after that hectic day.

But watching her stand in front of him, bo at hand, ready to help in this new way of hers, he feels pride swelling in his chest at how much she's grown.

And as she summons Kanzeon in that beautiful battle form of hers, release a devastating blast of sound waves, hits the Reaper with more force than a bo should've been able to take, but somehow still sends it reeling, he falls in love all over again.

"We're so sorry we dragged you in here!"

Rise looks at the deeply bowing blonde teen in the red cat-themed jumpsuit and smiles, "I keep telling you, it's alright."

From where he was slung on another blond with a skull-like mask, Yu agreed, "You found us in the end didn't you?"

Not long after they defeated the Reaper, a black van arrived, it had cat ears on it and if Yu wasn't so out of it, Rise knew he'd be fawning over how cute it was, and out came seven kids, she says kids, but they were pretty much around the same age they were when they were playing with worlds and beings they themselves didn't understand, in fancy get up and masks, or goggles for the short orange haired girl.

"That's the signal I've been getting!" She said.

"He's exhausted!" Rise replies, knowing that they'd know exactly what she meant, if they were here, that'd mean they had an idea of Shadows and if she's right, Personas and will have items to help her boyfriend, and a brunette in a metal mask kneels down to her leader, handing him what she recognises as a Chewing Soul. He practically inhales it greedily and almost chokes.

The girl rubs soothing circles on his back.

The blonde with the red cat mask goes to her, ready to cast Diarama, "You're hurt too."

Being on the receiving end of the spell felt wonderful. She now has a greater appreciation for the healing magic they always use, "Thank you, but I'm more worried about Senpai."

She hasn't called him that in a while. Not since they started living together. Only if she wanted to be nostalgic, but she hears the kids calling each other with what were obviously nicknames and it felt wrong not to do the same.

Both turned to Yu, who's looking so much better than he did a few minutes ago.

"He'll be just fine," The teen reassured.

Later, when they were sure Yu and her were alright, they all boarded the van which, to her surprise, spoke! Ensuring she was alright, asking the boy in the white mask if they were good to go, just having conversations with the rest of the teens, if it weren't for Teddie and her knowledge of Personas, this would have probably been the strangest thing she'd seen.

Then again, she's seen robots with hearts, so a talking van shouldn't be so surprising.

What was surprising was when they reached the entrance of what they were informed was Mementos, apparently they get here using an app on their phones and because she and Yu were so close to them when they came here it was most likely they were brought along by accident, the van transformed into an anamorphic cat, reached just above her knees and was possibly the cutest thing in the world.

"We really should be more careful when we come here," It mutters loudly to itself.

"You drag people here often?" Yu jokes. He was standing on his own two feet without the assistance of the skull mask wearer, to Rise's relief.

The girl in the pink outfit and black mask giggles, it almost reminds her of Yukiko-senpai's laugh if she wasn't laughing her heart out, "Not usually."

"It really is peculiar that you two were dragged in," The boy in the kitsune mask ponders.

Rise and Yu exchange glances and she shrugs, she has an idea as to why, but rather not say it, "We're lucky that way."

They leave it at that.

One of the teens press a button on their phone and Mementos is replaced with Shibuya Station. The kid's outfits also changed into more casual wear.

Yu walks up to who was the white masked boy, the obvious leader, the same power runs through him as it does Yu. A cat in his bag that must have been the bipedal cat from before conversed with him. "Thanks again for the save," He tells the two.

Both look at him and the boy smiles, "The least we can do."

Not far from them, some of the others ask Rise for her autograph and while she happily obliges, he sees that she's ready to leave, which means it was time for him to rescue her.

"Be careful out there." Yu tells the young leader, knowing that they'll most likely return to that other world after this, and he goes to the idol.

"Alright kids," He starts, pulling her away from them and closer to him, any retaliation dies after a well placed glare. She relaxes at his touch, grateful, "Your leader's waiting."

There was loud moaning, but eventually they gathered together and after another round of waves and goodbyes, they disappeared.

The hustle and bustle of the station returns to his ears as if time had stopped before and is now only restarting.

"So," His girlfriend started, turning back to him, intertwining her hands with his, "Where were we?"

He grinned back knowingly, readjusting the hat on her head, "I believe we were about to go on a date you owe me."

She pouted playfully, "You just got lucky. Next time, it'll be you who treats me. Just as it should be."

"We'll see."

Rise pulls him into a kiss, not bothering with the people around her. Yu closes the distance, savouring the moment.

She lets go and looks at him with those determined eyes of hers, "Next bet, we're fighting Shadows. The most Shadows win."

"Getting cocky now are we?"

"I defeated a Reaper, mind you."

"You forget, I helped."

She laughs, "Ok, I'll give you that."

Satisfied, they walk out of the station, hand in hand, towards their date spot, talking about anything they could think of, and enjoying each other's presence.

"You know, this is probably a one time thing. I don't think it'll happen again."

His navigator hums in thought, "...you never know."

Later on, if Rise notices him starting to bring a ski bag around with him, or if he notices her ensuring her bag is always filled with various items…

Well...

Neither of them will comment.
