Wolfie: I do not own anything related Supernatural. All I own is this plot idea, which is that when Dean gets brought back by Castiel he was put in the body of a deceased girl instead. Now this will technically be what the fans would call Wincest, which is Sam/Dean brother on brother love. But not in the traditional way as previously stated. To not cause any confusion I will refer to Dean as Dean, even if he is going to be a girl in this story. Now please read, review, and I hope you enjoyed the book so far.

Chapter 1: Lazarus Rising pt. 1

Dean gasped as he woke up in the dark, coughing at how musty it smelt and cold it felt. Immediately noticing a few things, like the fact that he was stuck in a cold metal box and recognized it as a morgue body fridge. Though something felt different about his body, but he didn't have time to worry about that. Because if he's in a morgue, then that means someone else got ahold of his body before Sam and Bobby did. Which means some S.O.B doctor is gonna try and pick his body apart to find out what killed him. And he'll be damned, again, if he lets that happen. Attempting to ignore the fact that his body feels strangely small, yet heavy in some places, he starts to break himself out. Best thing about morgue fridges is that they don't lock, they just shut like drawers in a desk. And once he slid it open Dean was able to sit up, the sheet that had been placed over his body sliding down as he glanced at it. The first thing he saw made him choke on air, and oddly enough, force himself not to grope at them.

Wrapping the sheet his, he should say her body, she takes tentative steps towards the reflective metal table underneath a window. Clearing off part of the table she looked at the reflection that was not the Dean Winchester that she remembered. Staring back at who is Dean Winchester in spirit is a sandy blonde girl with pale flawless skin. Marred by only a burn in the shape of a hand print and nothing more, not even C.O.D scars. As she lightly touched a lock of her mid shoulder length hair there was the sound of footsteps approaching the room. Given her current condition what she did next was reckless, but she had no choice. When the doctor that was coming to the room opened the door all he saw was an open window, open fridge compartment, a sheet on the floor, a missing lab coat, and a toe tag on the ground. The abandoned toe tag was blank, meaning the body that Dean was residing in had not been identified yet by the coroner. Said man immediately thought the body was stolen and went to report it, meanwhile the body aka Dean was hot wiring a car. She needed to find Sam, needed to find out why she was brought back and why she was put in the wrong body.

With a final zap of the wire the car's engine roared to life as Dean climbed in the driver's seat and sped out of the parking lot. Not even bothering to buckle up as she was in too much of a hurry to care about that sort of thing. First things first is clothes, people would look at her like she's insane if she walked around in only a buttoned up lab coat. As she drove Dean looked at the rear view mirror, noticing a pair of green eyes that were so identical to her old body's eyes. Yet there was an innocence to them that was lost within the pools of guilt and trauma from 40 years in hell. Shaking her head slightly at that thought Dean went back to focusing on driving, the next things she did were less than legal. She actually broke into a good will, stole some clothes and shoes, put them on, and stole some money from the register. Last thing she took was a laptop that was in the electronic section and hightailed it out of there and drove away. Soon ditching the car, wiping down any surface that may have her finger prints, and used some of the money she took to pay for a motel room.

Though when she got there she heard a strange sound that made everything electric begin to glitch out. It just got louder and louder to the point that her ears began to hurt, sending her to her knees as all glass in the room shattered. Then the sound just stopped and Dean was able to recover from the splitting pain in her head. But she didn't have time to worry about that as she stumbled to her feet and got the hell out of there. The motel manager would surely think that she was the one that broke all of the glass that was in the room even though she didn't. It may have been a waste of money just to get the room only to leave when something shatters all the glass and makes the electronics glitch. Thankfully she found another motel a couple miles away, using the last of the money she stole to pay for another room for the night. Knowing that she was far enough away from the other motel to be safe from needing to be questioned by the police about what happened. Then she spent all night on her laptop trying to track down Sam, and when that didn't work she tried calling Bobby from the motel phone.

"Hello?" Bobby asked as he answered the call.

"Bobby?" Dean asked, feeling so happy to hear his voice after so long.

"Who the hell is this? And how'd you get this number?" Bobby demanded as he didn't recognize the female voice on the other end of the call.

"Bobby it's me, Dean. I-I know it sounds crazy but just h-" Dean started to say as she leaned against the wall next to the phone.

"You are not Dean." Bobby said before hanging up the phone on Dean as she redialed the phone.

"Bobby I'm serious, you need to listen." Dean said once Bobby answered the phone again.

"I don't need to do anything you say, bitch. If you call again I swear to God I'll kill you." Bobby threatened as he hung up, causing Dean to growl again as she frustratedly redialed the number.

"Don't you dare call me a bitch, bitch. Now you are gonna listen and listen well, this is not a prank call Bobby. This is the one and only Dean fucking Winchester talking to you from a recently dead Jane Doe body. My parents are John and Mary Winchester, and my little brother is named Sam Winchester." Dean said, not even giving Bobby a chance to say anything when he answered the phone as she continues to talk. "Your name is Robert "Bobby" Steven Singer. You're a hunter, you got into hunting because of what happened to your wife Karen. You also moonlight as the credibility call for practically ever hunter in the whole damn world. You have like, 5 phones on your wall with different aliases that coincide with our aliases. You... Bobby y-you've been more like a father to me than my own father ever was." She said as her voice wavered at the end as she got a bit choked up, damn female hormones! "A-Anyways. How would I know all of this and why would I say something like that if I was not Dean Winchester?" Dean asked as she cleared her throat slightly to get rid of how choked up her voice sounded.

"Lucky guess? Case of father figure mistaken identity?" Bobby suggested, sounding like he had just seen a ghost because of what she just said.

"And does that make more sense than the fact that I'm back and in a chick's body? Because I'm me Bobby, and you can put me through every test in the world when I get to your place." Dean said as Bobby mumbled a reluctant okay before the call ended.

Since Dean only paid for one night she soon checked out of that motel, and sped out of the parking lot in another hotwired car. The drive had been an all nighter and one fast food stop later before she ditched the car again. Going through the same process she had with the last one before walking the rest of the way to Bobby's place. Said male answering the door when he heard a knock, a shot gun hidden nearby in case he needs to defend himself. Though he really didn't expect to see a sandy blond girl standing on his doorstep in the pouring rain. Her clothes, which obviously did not fit and were probably for a boy, completely soaked with rain water. Her green eyes holding a familiar look in them, the look of a hardened hunter that has been through hell. And the way this girl carries herself, despite only being 5'2", just screamed Dean Winchester. Which made Bobby reconsider slamming the door in her face as he remembered the phone call conversation he had hours ago. As he looked her in the eyes he noticed how the small female infront of him was shivering and may possibly be catching a cold.

"Hey Bobby, can I come in? It's kinda cold, and wet out here..." Dean said with a small smile as she brushed a piece of her wet hair out of her face.

"Y-Yeah, sure." Bobby said as he moved out of the way as Dean walked inside, dripping water all over the floor.

"Thanks. So uh, I'll save you the trouble of testing me." Dean said as she walked deeper into the house towards Bobby's study, grabbing one silver knife. "Silver knife." She stated and showed him the knife before cutting her inner arm with it, drawing blood. "Salt and holy water." Dean continued as she put the knife down, tacking a pack of salt and pouring it into a jug of holy water before taking a drink from it. "Ugh that tastes wrong in so many ways, hating myself for doing that right now. Lastly, vamp check." She said as she looked at Bobby and moved her lips out of the way, showing no holes in her gums that would let out a second set of teeth. "There, I'm not anything you need to worry about. So don't go all hunter paranoid on me Bobby, I got enough shit to worry about already." Dean stated as she put pressure on the bleeding self-inflicted cut on her arm.

"So, you're really Dean?" Bobby asked just to double check as he came over and closed up the now holy salt water.

"Yeah, it's really me." Dean reassure as she started picking up flasks, shaking them to test for liquid in them, and opening them and taking a sniff to make sure it's booze.

"Then how'd you get in Jane Doe here?" Bobby asked as he watched Dean take a sip from the fifth flask she tested, humming happily when she tasted scotch.

"I dunno Bobby. Did you burn my old body or something?" Dean asked before she started to take another sip from the flask.

"No, Sam wouldn't let me." Bobby said wich made Dean choke on the mouthful of scotch in her mouth.

"He wouldn't let you? Then what the hell did you do with my body?" Dean asked through her coughs, if her body wasn't burned then where the hell is it?

"We buried you. Sam said you'd need a body when he brought you back." Bobby explained which gained him an "are you serious" look from Dean.

"When he brought me back? News flash Bobby, I'm back and walkin' on the chick side of life in a ganked girls body. Now we need to figure out what the fuck is going on, and our only lead is Sam. So where is he?" Dean asked before she let out a sneeze, effectively reminding herself that she's soaked to the bone and is catching a cold as they speak.

"First let's get you in some dry warm clothes. What were ya doing out in the rain anyways ya idjit?" Bobby asked with a scolding tone, motioning for Dean to follow him as he leads her up to the attic.

"I was paranoid, Bobby. I woke up in a morgue fridge in Minnesota mere minutes away from being disected to find out what ganked this chick. I kept hotwiring and ditching cars all the way here. And I walked the last half mile here." Dean explained as she was dripping water all the way up to the attic where Bobby began looking for a certain box.

"Why'd you do a fool thing like that? If you'd just asked I could've picked you up half way." Bobby stated as he found the box he wanted that was labeled Karen, turning to Dean with it in his hands.

"Would you have come get me though? After all, hunter's aren't known for their abilities to trust people. And I get it, I call you out of the blue after being dead, talking to you from a chicks body, even I wouldn't trust me." Dean said, stumbling back slightly in shock when Bobby handed her the box he was holding.

"I know kid, and I got a feeling you're worried about how Sam will react to this." Bobby said as he motioned towards the female body Dean is currently inhabiting. "And I'll help him see that it's you, I promise." He reassured with the smallest of smiles, extremely happy that Dean was back despite the shady circumstances.

"Thanks Bobby. So uh, why'd you hand me a box?" Dean asked as she looked down at the considerably large box she now held.

"Those are some of Karen's clothes and shoes, I didn't have the heart to get rid of all of it. There are other boxes, but that has clothes more your style in it, bathroom's where it's always been." Bobby stated before leaving and going back downstairs to give Dean some privacy.

Later on Dean came back downstairs with damp towel dried hair. She was barefoot at the moment, only wearing semi skinny jeans and a navy blue long sleeve flannel button up over a grey v neck tee. Having rolled up the sleeves of the flannel shirt to the point that they were still covering up her elbow's. As she walked over to Bobby she immediately wanted to know if he had seen Sam, and she didn't like the answer she got. After all she could not believe that Bobby let Sam go off on his own, and for four months! Though she could understand that things had been hard for Bobby too, but she just wanted to find Sam. More importantly she wanted to make sure that the cross roads demon hasn't gone back on her word just because Dean alive and kicking. That's what worried her the most, that Sam was now lying dead somewhere because she's back from hell in a chicks body.

Bobby understood this, and that's why together they managed to track down the M.I.A younger Winchester via his phone gps. Finding him in one of those kinky hotel's that have mirror's on the ceilings over the bed, animal print everything, plastic covered furniture, and God knows what else. However the person to answer the door was not Sam, it was some brunette girl that was slightly shorter than Dean. She stood there in her tank top and underwear, and she thought that they were there to deliver a pizza. Dean honestly wanted to snag the gun she hid in the back of her pants and hold the girl at gunpoint to question when Sam came into view. Looking like he had just gotten finished getting dressed, his hair tousled as if he'd just jumped someone's bone's. And given the fact that the girl infront of them was nowhere near completely dressed Dean had to guess that she was the one who got her bones jumped.

"Heya Sammy, we need to talk." Dean said as she walked past the girl and into the room.

"I'm sorry, do I know you?" Sam asked, looking down at Dean with a raised eyebrow.

"You do, but Bobby and I'd rather not talk about this infront of chickiepoo over there." Dean stated as she motioned towards the girl, Ruby, who honestly looked offended at the fact that she was basically being told to leave.

"I'm sorry but were you two like, together or something?" Ruby asked, doing her best to hide how pissed and annoyed she was.

"I'd say or something, now scram." Dean said and Ruby would've ripped her throat out if it weren't for the look Sam gave her.

"It's ok, I'll call you later." Sam reassured as Ruby got dressed and was seen to the door, having a quiet conversation with one another before Ruby left.

"What'd it cost?" Dean asked, forgetting for a moment that she is not the Dean he remember's.

"What?" Sam asked, his brow furrowing in confusion as he put a button up shirt on over his tee shirt.

"Oh, right. You don't recognise me cause of this hot chick I'm stuck in." Dean said as she looked down at her body once again, flicking some of her hair over her shoulder in annoyance. "It's me Sam, the one and only Dean." She said as Sam gave her an unamused look, thinking she was trying to play a trick on him.

"Not funny lady, my brother's dead. And your not him." Sam said with a dismissive shake of his head as Dean rolled her eyes.

"Trust me, boy. I've already had this conversation with her, she might not physically be Dean but she is Dean." Bobby said trying to make Sam understand that this girl is infact his brother Dean in a girl's body.

"Bobby how can you possibly believe this shit she's spouting at us?" Sam asked as he looked at Bobby, wondering how a credible hunter like him could believe what a random girl is saying.

"Alright, I ain't dicking with this again." Dean said as she pulled up a chair and placed it with it's back facing Sam, straddling it with her arms resting on the top. "Things only Dean aka I would know. Your full name is Sam William Winchester. You have a massive fear of clowns, even though you deny that you do. When we were younger you crammed a green army man toy into the ashtray of the Impala and it's still there. We also carved our initials in the wood dad lined the trunk with so the arsenal wouldn't damage the car. And, you got into a fight with dad before you went all college boy on us." She said, glancing off to the side for a moment with a slight far away look in her eyes before she cleared her throat. "Don't ask for our usual supernatural things tests, I did that shit at Bobby's house. Besides, if I were a shifter or anything like that don't you think I'd wanna look like my normal handsome me instead of some sexy Jane Doe?" Dean asked as it made no sense for her to come back as a girl if she had a choice in the matter.

"I guess... but it's really you, Dean?" Sam asked as a small part of him still didn't believe that this girl was really his brother back from the dead even after all the stuff she just said.

"Yeah, it's really me." Dean said as the corner's of her lips twitch up into the smallest of smiles, man she missed hearing his voice.

Out of nowhere Sam just hugged her, and it wasn't the usual bro hugs that they share once in a blue moon. It was much softer, like Sam was afraid that if he hugged too hard he may break the delicate female body that Dean was stuck in. And she didn't know why but she liked the feelings she got just from one simple hug. Honestly she was amazed at how feeling a set of muscular arms warped around her in an almost protective way could make her feel safe. Though maybe it was just this woman's female mindset that was corrupting Dean because she's never felt like that before when Sam's hugged her. A few seconds later she did hug back and just took her time to soak in the foreign but also familiar warmth of her brother. And for a moment it was like there was no one else there but her and Sam, and the memories of hell just melted away for a brief moment. Sadly though when the hug ended and she came back to reality Dean was quite disappointed at the loss of that feeling.

"But how? And wouldn't you have been put back in your own body?" Sam asked as those were the questions that everyone was having right now.

"I dunno. Maybe some sick demon joke or something? I dunno what brought me back, I was hoping maybe you would know." Dean stated as she gave Sam a knowing look as she remembered how dead set he was on trying to save her.

"Are you saying you think I made a demon deal to get you back, Dean?" Sam asked, a little hurt that Dean would assume that he would do something like that.

"That's exactly what we think." Bobby said, confirming Sam's suspicions that they were wondering if he made a demon deal.

"Well I didn't." Sam said before he started to put his shoes on.

"Don't lie to us." Dean stated, she had enough lies to last her a millennium down in hell.

"I'm not lying." Sam argued as he stopped for a moment, a slight hurt look on his face as he looked at Dean before going back to what he's doing.

"So, what now? I'm off the hook, you're on now, is that it? You're some demon's bitch boy? I didn't want to be saved like this." Dean lectured as Sam honestly got tired of being lectured for something that he didn't do.

"Look, Dean, I wish I had done it, alright?" Sam said as he stood up only to have Dean grab him by the collar of his button up shirt.

"There's no other way that this could have gone down. Now tell the truth!" Dean hissed out, but it was hard to be intimidating when she's the shortest person in the room.

"I tried everything. That's the truth. I tried opening the Devil's Gate. Hell, I tried to bargain, Dean, but no demon would deal, all right?" Sam said as he made Dean let go of his shirt collar causing her to back off for now. "You we're rotting in hell for months- for months- and i couldn't stop it. So, I'm sorry it wasn't me, all right? Dean, i'm sorry." He apologised as he felt like it had been his fault that she had been stuck in hell for so long.

"It's okay, Sammy. You don't need to apologize. I believe you." Dean reassured as she glanced away from Sam with a small shake of her head.

"Don't get me wrong- I am glad that Sam's soul remains intact, but that does raise a sticky question." Bobby said, waiting for either Sam or Dean to finish the sentence for him.

"If he didn't pull me out, then what did?" Dean asked as Sam and her shared a look for a moment.

Then the three of them got comfy as Sam got a couple beers, handing one to Dean, then to Bobby, and kept the last for himself. Dean was honestly curious as to why Sam was here, seeing as Bobby told her this is near where her real body is. She was even more curious about why he was here with some girl called Kristy in a lewd hotel with a mirrored ceiling. Cause that had usually been more her style when she was a he back in the day, this was strange even for him. And Sam was quick to explain that he was here hunting Lilith down since he couldn't bring back Dean from hell. Bobby was a bit upset that Sam went off on his own to hunt probably the moist powerful demon they've encountered. But he dropped the subject after Sam apologised and said things had been hard for him as Dean chuckled slightly at that. Walking over and picking up a girls bra from the spot next to Sam with a knowing smirk. Tossing it aside as she sat next to him, asking when he got here after following the demon's here which was yesterday morning. Which she didn't think was a coincidence as she glanced at Bobby.

"Same day I busted out of that morgue and got the hell outta Minnesota." Dean said as she doubted that these thing's weren't connected in some sort of way.

"You think these demons are here cause of you?" Bobby asked wondering if that was what Dean was thinking.

"But why?" Sam asked since that didn't seem like something demons would normally do.

"Well, I don't know. Some badass demon drags me out, puts me in the wrong body for shits and giggles, and now this? It's got to be connected somehow." Dean said since that seemed like the only explanation that seemed logical for this situation.

"How you feeling, anyway?" Bobby asked, concerned that being back and in the wrong body may have some side effects.

"I'm a little hungry, and in a body I'm only familiar with when it comes to sex." Dean said not really getting what Bobby meant when he asked about how she's feeling.

"No, I mean do you feel like yourself? Anything strange or different?" Bobby asked as Dean soon caught on to what Bobby was avoiding to say.

"Or demonic? Bobby, how many times do I have to prove I'm me?" Dean questioned, feeling offended that she was being questioned even though she was clearly fine.

"Yeah, well, listen- no demon's letting you loose out of the goodness of their hearts. They got to have something nasty planned." Bobby explained causing Dean to let out a small sigh/huff of annoyance.

"Well, I feel fine." Dean said getting real tired of needing to repeat herself.

"Okay, look, we don't know what they they're planning. We got a pile of questions and no shovel. We need help." Sam said as he glanced at Dean and then at Bobby, they truly needed help but from who was the question.

"...I know a psychic a few hours from here. Something this big, maybe she's heard the other side talking." Bobby said and that was honestly the best idea that Dean has heard since she got back.

"Hell, yeah. It's worth a shot." Dean said basically giving Bobby the go ahead to go talk to this psychic friend of his.

"I'll be right back." Bobby stated as he stood up, setting his beer aside as he left to go to his car as Dean went to follow him.

"Hey, wait." Sam suddenly said as he stood, causing Dean to look at him curiously. "You probably want this back." He said as he pulled off a familiar necklace and held it out to her as she took it, looking at the bronze charm that hung from the black necklace cord.

"Thanks." Dean said softly as she continues to look at the charm, which is the head of a horned humanoid being with an african head ornament.

"Don't mention it." Sam stated as he watched Dean slip the black cord over her head. "Hey, Dean, what was it like?" He asked, part of hm actually curious and the other part was worried about her.

"What? Hell?" Dean asked as her mind drifted to her memories of hell as she held back a flinch. "I don't know. I-I-I-I must have blacked it out. I don't remember a damn thing." She lied as Sam nodded slightly, seeming to believe her despite her single moment of stuttering.

"Thank God for that." Sam said as he smiled, happy with the fact that Dean doesn't remember a thing about hell.

"Yeah." Dean agreed but once again she was lying, she really didn't think they should thank God for something like that.

Later on when they were waiting for an update on the situation with the psychic Dean ended up going to the bathroom. However she didn't really do anything aside from flip on the light and looked at herself in the mirror. Seeing flashes of her time in hell as the all too familiar screams accompanied each memory flash. It caused her to grip at the sides of the sink till her hands started to hurt from how hard she was gripping at the sink. When the flashes ended Dean gulped slightly, flashes of hell memories wasn't the funnest thing in the world but she'd survive. Later on after her hell memory episode in the bathroom Bobby came back and told them everything was good to go. Which led to Sam and Dean following him to the parking lot as he said that his friend was 4 hours down the interstate. Bobby also jokingly told them to try and keep up as he got into his car as Sam and Dean kept walking side by side. The later felt extremely happy when she spotted the Impala, her car, aka her baby.

"I assume you'll want to drive." Sam said as he pulled the keys out of his jacket and tossed them to Dean who caught them easily.

"I almost forgot. Hey, sweetheart, did you miss me?" Dean asked with a chuckle as she opened the driver's side door and climbed in, shutting the door as she sat behind the wheel. "Oh..." She hummed with a smile before noticing Sam's Ipod attached to something that had not been there before as Sam got in the passenger seat of the car.

"Ahh." Sam exhaled as he shut the passenger side door behind himself as it felt right to be in the passenger seat again as he looked at Dean as she looked at the Ipod still.

"What the hell is that?" Dean asked as she looked at Sam, which made her finally stop staring at the Ipod.

"That's an Ipod jack." Sam stated simply with a smile, not really seeing what the problem was.

"You were supposed to take care of her, not douche her up." Dean said clearly disliking this change in her car's interior as Sam scoffed but was still smiling.

"Dean, I thought it was my car." Sam said as Dean gave him a sarcastic look mixed with an unamused one as she turned on the car, a song immediately starting to play.

"Really?" Dean asked as she looked at Sam, an exasperated look replacing her sarcastic/unamused one as Sam shrugged innocently.

Having enough of the song Dean yanked the Ipod out of the jack and tossed it into the backseat without saying a word. Starting the four hour drive to where this psychic that Bobby know's lives down the interstate. Though there was something about the night she got turned into hellhound chow that had her curious. After all Lilith was dead set on killing Sam before she sicked her hellhounds on Dean. Which made her wonder how he got out ok, and she asked him about how he got away from Lilith alive. Much to her shock Sam told her that Lilith wasn't able to kill him, that her attack failed as if he was immune to it. Dean was confused about his apparent immunity but let him continue his story as he said Lilith left pretty quickly after her attack failed. Her next question was about Ruby, and she didn't know why, but saying that demon bitch's name made her feel weird. Like she was jealous or something rather than how protective and pissed she usually feels when talking about Ruby. Sam was quick to answer her about Ruby though, but he lied about where exactly she currently is. And he was thankful that Dean didn't press on that subject again after that, meaning that she was satisfied with the answer she got.
