Hey everyone! How are you guys? Just letting you know this is my first fic on this website, and I'm definitely planning to update regularly especially with the holidays so close! Without further ado... let the chapter commence :)
No matter what he did, the pressure of the ropes seemed to get tighter with every twist and flex he attempted with his wrists. The gag in his mouth proved to be no better. But even with the small pains he still felt from Gordon's surprise attack on him, it would never amount to the reality of his lack of knowingness behind him.
Even after their brief fight about the revelations of what their father had told Dean to do moments before his death, proved to just be another obstacle on Dean's worry for his little brother.
Hence, him following Sam as he left in anger and frustration. To be honest, Dean could hardly blame the kid, but his big brother senses had kicked in and tracked him to a motel, in which through the window he could see him and a girl talking, as he continued to observe, the thought that crossed his mind was 'Sam, you sly dog.' accompanied with a soft chuckle, unknowing of the real reason he was with her - with her having the same psychic visions as Sam. But his thoughts had been interrupted as his defences lowered, thus, a familiar face getting the drop on him, punching him square in the jaw, pinning him to the ground as recognition of the man he faced dawned on him. Gordon.
It had gone chaotically wrong from there, with Gordon being able to fulfil his attempted attack on Dean, bringing him to a worn down wooden building in which Dean, when he had woken up, found himself with his hands and legs tied to a seriously uncomfortable chair.
The next events had passed in a blur, up until the moment of Sam's arrival, and the tripwire connected to a small bomb having gone off, blasting bits of wooden debris from behind Dean. As he shouted through the gag, he squinted his eyes, trying to process what had just happened…
"Hold on...not yet, let's wait and see" Gordon simply added to Dean's cry. Dean had hoped that Sam had missed the trip-wire, and that he had just thrown something onto it, tricking Gordon into believing that Sam was dead. But what Gordon voiced after Dean's outcry, crushed any hopes of that, as a memory flashed through his mind.
"You think Sam's stupid enough to walk through that front door?" He asked with venom towards the hunter he loathed.
"No I don't. Especially since I'm sure you found a way to warn him, you really think I'm that stupid?" Gordon answered, humour masking his tone as he opened his arms out to show that he was one step ahead.
Dean had simply raised his eyebrows and smirked, not wanting to let go of his demeanour.
At that, Gordon sat up from the chair he was sitting on, and slowly walked towards the front.
"Nah, Sammy's going to scope the place first, see me covering the front door…" Gordon paused as he turned around and faced Dean but looked behind him. "So he's going to take the back. And when he does he'll hit the tripwire," he paused again, now staring back at Dean.
Dean kept his eyebrows raised, trying not to let the worry show.
"Then," Gordon continued, changing his position again as he walked towards his duffle and reached for a grenade launcher, "Boom." He added, as if that word had no meaning.
"Sam's not gonna fall for a frickin' tripwire." Dean confessed, knowing all too well that his brother was smart enough.
"Maybe you're right," Gordon replied, as he reached for his duffle again, "That's why I'll have a second one" and with this, he brought out a second grenade launcher and approached Dean.
Dean could only blink repetitively as the information sunk in.
