"Heeeeeelp!" Violet screamed at the top of her lungs, her voice turning sore and crokey after the long screams. She tugged at the cuffs, pulling the chain taunt to get closer to the door, allowing her voice to be heard more. She had been screaming for about five minutes now, tears staining her cheeks and her wrists turning red, the skin raw and grazed from the leather.

She was determined to scream the room down until someone came to her aid. She was too frightened and anxious to think straight, the only plan in her head being to shout for help until someone came and rescued her. But as her screams dialled down, she coughed on her own voice, her chest wheezing and throat sore like she had swallowed razor blades.

In the end, she knew no one was coming. She huffed, slumping against the bed on the floor, her head rolling to the side as she sniffled back the tears. It was clear the solider had the upper hand. The chain wasn't breaking, and she was far too weak to snap it from its hinges. And she realised that there was either no one there to hear her scream and run to her aid or she was just being ignored.

Hydra certainly weren't going to come running at the sound of her pleas, they were too cruel for that and so was her captor. It looked like she was going to be here a while. Judging by what Bucky had told her earlier, she was a pawn in all this, a toy to play with while they made their demands. It's like at school, when the bully takes something of yours and doesn't give it back until you do what they say. It was a simple strategy but an effective one.

Violet felt a pounding in her head from her screaming solo, the pain making her feel sick and tired and she closed her eyes, dropping her head down to ignore the feeling. It was heavy like someone had dropped a cinder block on her face. Her mind tried to think of other things but with the unfamiliar room and chains wrapped around her, all she could think about was her current situation.

She imagined her family were worried sick. And Michael and Bruno, no doubt they were feeling like the worst bodyguards on the planet, Michael especially. He promised he would find her and now she was in the hands of the enemy. That's if they were alive. Hydra was going to spare no one, and any threats would be eliminated without question. It brought more tears to her eyes thinking that her bodyguard and friend could no longer be among.

Time passed slowly and Violet didn't move from her spot. Her stomach rumbled, the feeling of emptiness in the pit and she realised how hungry she was. She hadn't eaten for nearly twenty our hours and her throat was so dry she could barely swallow. Every time she did it felt like someone was cutting her throat with a knife.

Her head looked up as she heard the footsteps again, scuffing from outside the room and reaching closer to the door. She became more alert, moving to her knees as she waited for Bucky to enter. The sound of the door unlocking made her flinch, but she took a deep breath, calming her pounding heart and kept a strong face on, quickly wiping her stained cheeks and puffy eyes to eliminate the look of crying.

The bright light outside the room burst in but didn't blind her this time. Bucky stepped inside, shutting the door as soon as he came inside, the only sound being hits boots pressing hard into the floor, the floorboards underneath creaking. To her luck, he was carrying a plastic tray with a bowl on top.

He stared down at her, eyes hard and lips pressed tightly together as he strolled inside. Violet followed him with her eyes as he walked to the desk on the right wall and placed the tray down. The smell of hot food hit her nostrils and her stomach instantly rumbled again, her hand pushing to quieten the sound, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment.

"Something to eat" he said softly, his tone now less strict and gentler than before. Violet blinked up at him, slightly surprised. But her instinct kicked in and she screamed for help again.

"Help! Somebody help me, please!" she screeched at the top of her lungs, even though her throat was begging her not to. Bucky rolled his eyes, shaking his head and stepped over to her, cutting off her pleas.

"No one can hear you" Violet immediately stopped screaming, turning to him with wide eyes and her mouth dropped open.

"This room is soundproof, no one can hear you and the only people here and you and I, so I'd give that up" he said matter of factly, and Violet sighed softly to herself. She was right in her first thinking, there was no one to hear her scream, not even Bucky. The moment that door was closed, all sound was banished.

She didn't want to admit he was right, there was no point in her screaming if no one was going to come for her. She was curious now as to where exactly she was.

"Where is this place?" she asked.

"Why do you need to know?" he questioned, raising a brow.

"I'm just curious… it's not like I'll be able to tell anyone" Bucky smirked at her. She had a point; she wouldn't be able to tell anyone. There wasn't another house for miles. They were the only ones here and only Hydra knew of this place. It was dubbed as a safehouse for Hydra agents when they needed moving off the grid. The house looked ordinary on the outside and no one would question it. Hidden deep in one of the woodland areas, the house was built years ago to hide away agents on the run and to hold meetings in secret.

"Somewhere far away, miles from Washington" it was a half-life. They were miles away but still in Washington. They need to be close by but secure from being found.

Violet swallowed hard and took a breath in, her hands fidgeting in the cuffs, the chain clunking as she did, and Bucky looked down at them. He reached inside one of the pockets of his pants and pulled out a small key, pinching it between his finger and thumb.

"Come here" he ordered, and Violet hesitated. As he began to move closer to her, she shot up like a deer, inching back on weak legs and bashing into the bed. Bucky tilted his head to the side slightly.

"I'm not going to hurt you, I'm just going to unlock those" he nodded to the cuffs and for a second, Violet felt silly. But then she wiped that thought away, batting it like you would a pesky fly. She had every right to be on alarm and hesitant. This man had kidnapped her, crashed the car she was riding in and nearly blew her up.

Bucky stood in front of her, and Violet let out a deep breath through her nose before holding her hands out. His metal hand took her's, supporting them. His cold fingers were like ice, the metal burning her skin and with his warm flesh hand, he unlocked the cuffs, the leather straps dropping to the floor. She instantly rubbed them, wincing at the torn skin and bruises. Her eyes slowly glided up, running over his leather clad chest and to his cold blue eyes, his hair falling over them creating little curtains for him to look through.

"Thanks" she had no idea why she was thanking him; he didn't deserve a thank you. But when he smirked, she felt a little more comfortable. Perhaps because she knew he wasn't going to hurt her. His words echoed in her head, telling her that if she behaved, she would be fine and if she didn't… well she didn't want to know.

"Eat your lunch, I'll be back later with dinner" he turned to leave, his heavy build stomping out the room and Violet stood frozen in her spot. When the door slammed shut, she released her stiffness, shoulders falling and eyed the bowl on the desk, her stomach rumbling once more to remind her of her hunger. She pulled the chair out and took her seat to begin digging in.
