Find Me In Your Memory - Episode 34
Ha- Jin reports to the first script screening review with writer/ producer Yang Jin - Woo and the Director Kim of the film Find me in Your Memory.
Yang Jin-Woo: Ha-jin… you've had some time to read the script…. Give us your assessment….. since you've lived it …. Director Kim has his thoughts as to where he would like to take the story…. I'm interested in your thoughts and also what Lee Jung- hoon has had to say about it
Ha-jin: For the most part the script has captured the essence of the story, however what transpired between Anchor Lee and Jung Seon -yun …. Only Anchor Lee can provide the details….. we have been slowly opening them to each other ….. how much he is willing to tell has only been in our private moments…. I hope you can appreciate that
Director Kim: would he consider becoming a consultant to the set?
Ha-jin: I'll ask him….. but if he declines…. I won't push him … His past has been very painful to him….. we've both come to a point that our pasts need to be memories stored in our minds.
Yang Jin-Woo: Much of the story is taken from Professor Yoo Sung-Hyuk's book , but from what you've told me his interpretations were based on his thinking
Ha-jin: if you need an unbiased interpretation consultant…. I would suggest Dr Yoo Tae-eun….. not only was he Anchor Lee's best friend he is Professor Yoo's son and was very upset that this book was even written. He helped me through my most difficult periods.
The rest of the cast members are introduced to each other and Director Kim outlines the shooting schedules and what he expects from everyone.
Anchor Lee not willing to loose any time with Ha-jin finishes his daily prep work for the news hour and then drives to pick up Ha-jin for dinner, knowing how she lets herself go when she gets consumed in her work.
Seeing Anchor Lee waiting for her she instructs Ha-Kyung that she has the night off with her boyfriend and not to worry about her….. since she will be in good hands with Anchor Lee.
Ha-Kyung: Where should we pick you up in the morning?
Ha-Jin: I'll text you as to where we will end up…. You just have fun with Il-kwon for now
Ha-Kyung doesn't question her sister and asks Moon Chul to drive her to Il-kwon's apartment whereby she plans on making him dinner with a special desert.
At dinner Anchor Lee inquires as to how the script review went and if she thinks she will enjoy working on this sensitive film
Ha-Jin: At first I thought I would be very nervous and worried that I would have to relive it again, but then I realized it's another movie….. I'm an actress and as actress….. demanding roles require emotions that are to be real if they are to be believable. That puts it into proper perspective… however, I became more concerned when they asked me If I would ask you to be a technical consultant to the script accuracy… Everyone knows your penchant for accurate details. Director Kim wants to show your relationship with Seon-yun which I don't fully know. She was my best friend but she didn't talk to me about you…. Was she protecting you from your condition
Anchor Lee: I haven't talked about my relationship with Seon - yun because I didn't want to bring any pain for you… to find true love with two best friends is an oddity just like our mental states
Ha-Jin: it isn't like you cheated or two timed us…. I'm find myself curious as to how you loved her compared as to how you love me. I've accepted that she was your first love, but I also know that I hold another place in your heart as your enduring love. If fate has it you had to find her in order to find me
Anchor Lee: ask the questions you want to know…. I'll tell you
Ha-Jin : How did you meet and when did you know you were in love with her
Anchor Lee: before I answer…. I have to ask….. as childhood friends you were also competitors… ballet classes were competition between both of you….. will my answer be a competition as to whom I loved more
Ha-jin: that mind of yours doesn't let anything slip by you….. you're right when I got hurt protecting her, I did kinda of blamed her as to why I couldn't continue, but I now realize how foolish that was….. and you learn from your mistakes…. If I hadn't gotten hurt I would have never pursued acting…. I love acting more than I loved ballet… so how did you meet?
Anchor Lee: What made me want to meet her, was also what made me fall in love with her…. Her simplicity in how she viewed life…. Like the answer you gave me during my interview with you… she lived life in simple terms as counting to numbers 5 and 6…. I froze hearing that because it was her saying it the first time I heard it…. I started thinking were you some reincarnation of her….. how could you have known her words
Ha-Jin: Was that why you looked so deeply into my eyes….. to be honest that look pierced my heart that night and I knew I had to know you better…. So when did you fall in love with me… because you weren't very nice to me
Anchor Lee: I became afraid of you…but, once you put your hand on my shoulder and looked deeply into my eyes, I knew that you weren't someone to be afraid of… as far as falling in love with you… your general simplicity of life… you lived your life as you saw fit without blaming anyone… you saw no evil in anyone….. that's why Seon-yun would have never blamed you for being deceived by Moon Seung -ho….. yet you blamed yourself that caused you all that pain.
Ha-jin: Anchor Lee… you fell in love with both of us because of our simplicity…. How can I be simple when I'm so complicated
Anchor Lee: That's why I love you so…. You're so simple you don't even know it and don't ever change
Ha-Jin: not to change the subject, Kyung-Ae left word that her decorator found several houses to look at… do you want to look at them…. I'll be happy wherever your happy
Anchor Lee: You know that you have specific requirements like color and openness…so don't say you'll be happy with anything I pick….. you definitely don't like my apartment
Ha-Jin: I love your apartment for camping…. And making love to you
Anchor Lee: Why did you say I needed to change the colors and make this a warm place if you liked my place?…. Ha-jin be yourself…. Don't ever change … even for me….. we will find a place that makes us both happy
Ha - Jin: Finding a place that makes us both happy… I like that
Anchor Lee: now that the movie shooting has begun… you can't keep staying up late coming to the studio every night… go home and get some rest
Ha-Jin: I can't rest without you next to me… let me enjoy our new togetherness… I like seeing you and how you do your job… I've learned so much from you
Anchor Lee knows that when Ha-Jin makes up her mind she gets her way
Now that Kim Chul- woog is the new team manager of The News at 9:00 PM he has taken a greater interest in increasing the ratings…Seeing Ha-jin at the station more often gives him an idea. He talks to his wife Choi Hee- sang
Kim Chul- woog: Hee-Sang you've gotten Anchor Lee back so the 10:00 PM ratings will increase…. But the 9:00 PM ratings still are lagging behind… can we give it a boost
Choi Hee-sang: you've never shown interest in ratings…. You were happy just with the latest gossip
Kim Chul-woog: why can't I have both
Choi Hee-sang: How do you hope to achieve that… without making a mess of things…. We both can't afford to loose our jobs
Kim Chul-woog: Now that Anchor Lee and Ha-jin are constantly together… why not use some of that togetherness to garner more ratings and satisfying the publics need for gossip
Choi Hee-sang: Tell me what your thinking
Kim Chul-woog: When Anchor Lee was prepping Ha-jin for her role as a News Anchor…she was actually pretty good…. Why not use her for a guest anchor and let her interview Anchor Lee… we got a glimpse of that at her press conference. The way they handled each other had the cameras flashing constantly. Them being together is still news worthy
Choi Hee-sang: Your the team leader make it happen… you're full of surprises….. now don't screw it up
Kim Chul- woog: What will you give me if the ratings increase
Choi Hee-sang: let the ratings increase then I will surprise you
Jo Il-Kyung decides to have a personal conversation with Anchor Lee
Jo Il-Kwon: Anchor Lee …. I'm just curious….. now that you and Ha-jin are together again…. Has she become overly amorous with you… you know ….. The reason I'm asking…. Ha-Kyung, won't let me rest…. Is this a sister trait ?
Anchor Lee: Can you be more specific….. what exactly is a sister trait your looking for… Ha-Jin and Ha-Kyung are sisters but very different
Jo Il-kwon: you know… has Ha-Jin become overly sexual now that you are together….. you know she wants it all the time
Anchor Lee: If I remember correctly, your biggest complaint before was that you couldn't find a partner that wanted it as much as you did….. what has changed….. could it be your wish has come true
Jo Il-kwon: Why can't you forget what I said before…. Ha-Kyung is wearing me out…. I've become her favorite toy and she wants to play with it all the time
Anchor Lee: so what are you complaining about… enjoy it while it lasts the newness of it will wear off and then you will be complaining as to why she no longer wants you… talk to her and tell her that you both need to put a balance to it…. From what Ha-jin has told me … Ha-kyung put her life aside to help Ha-jin become who she is today…. If she is becoming a little selfish… go with the flow… it won't always be like this
Jo Il-kwon: Will she get tired of me
Anchor Lee: you have so much to learn… learn to talk to her… by the way are you serious about her….. if you aren't …. We will have problems
Jo Il-kwon: I've asked her to marry me but she wants to make sure it will work out… I love her and she loves me, but she still wants to wait
Anchor Lee: my advise to you is make her want to marry you
Jo Il- kwon: How will I do that
Anchor Lee: you're smart enough to figure that out on your own
As the weeks pass Kim Chul-woog has begun to get more comfortable in talking to Ha jin when she comes to the station to watch Anchor Lee do is nightly show
Kim Chul-woog : Ha-jin … how do you do it… you're at the movie set every morning and then I see you're here at night watching Anchor Lee
Ha -jin: We missed so much time apart that I don't want to miss anymore… and I like watching him work… If ever I get another chance to get a role being a news anchor I want to be ready…. Anchor Lee is the best teacher
Kim Chul-woog: Would you ever consider being a guest anchor/ host… Now that I'm the Team manager for the 9:00 PM news….. I need to find a way to increase the ratings…. Anchor Lee's return has once again catapulted the 10:00 PM back to number one
Ha-jin: are you asking me to compete with Anchor Lee
Kim Chul-woog: In away….. I was thinking you could fulfill your wish of doing a news show but the ratings grabber would be you interviewing Anchor Lee… you know…. kind put him on the hot seat like he did you
Ha-jin: that was one show I will never forget…. That would be interesting… let me think about it
Kim Chul - woog: If you're really interested in doing it…. I'll make it happen… Choi Hee -sang already likes the idea
Ha- jin: I don't want to embarrass myself
Kim Chul- woog: I've seen when you and Anchor lee were practicing for that movie role….. you're a natural… I will prep you
Ha-jin: I will notify you when I have a break on the movie…. If that's alright
Kim Chul-woog: That's more than alright… Thank you …Ha-jin …. For even considering it
After the Broadcast Ha-jin and Anchor Lee go to their new home that they just purchased
Ha-jin: I can't believe we have a house of our own… it is so beautiful, bright and cheerful and plenty of room for when we have children
Anchor Lee: Children…. We haven't talked about it….. With your career and all would it be fair to a child … my Anchor job also takes much of my time
Ha-jin: You do want to be a father… don't you…. Plenty of couples have careers and children ….. why should it be any different for us….. Every time I look at the memory box that your mom left you…. I want so much to have your child…. I'm not getting any younger and neither are you
Anchor Lee: My concern is the stress that pregnancy will place on you, especially if your filming
Ha-jin: Speaking of stress ….. Will you help me relieve some…. I've gotten myself really wet thinking about it

An unexpected emergency arose on the set of the movie…. Production had to stop for a week…. Ha-jin calls Kim Chul-woog to let him know that she is available for the fill in anchor. Chul-woog asks Hee-sang to make Anchor Lee available for the interview with Ha-jin
Anchor Lee watches diligently as Ha-jin does the show like a season pro. Ha -jin announces that she has a special surprise before closing out the show
Ha-jin: tonight we have a special segment for the 9:00 PM Newshour…. I will be interviewing Anchor Lee…. The person that has made interviewing an art form…. Please welcome Anchor Lee… Anchor Lee….Thank you for coming on tonight
Anchor Lee: It's my pleasure… one good turn deserves another
Ha-jin: Anchor Lee much has been written and reported about your illness … Hyperthymesia….. how has this illness affected your life…. The good, the bad and the ugly
Anchor Lee: Like with most rare diseases, peoples understanding of it causes more confusion rather than clarity….. I'll to try to simplify it in terms that people can relate to it. The Human brain is like a computer….. search engines can find whatever the user has searched for….. my brain for whatever strange reason doesn't allow me to forget places, dates and events that I have been exposed to. With a computer only way for anyone not to see that information ….. the history or cache must be erased, but as is the cases with most computers the information is not removed completely…..As long as I can remember ….. which is from the beginning … my brain remembers them in perfect clarity…. Nothing can be erased from my memory
Ha-Jin: Let's be clear…. Your brain will not let you forget your memories no matter how painful they may be
Anchor Lee: that is correct…. But it also never lets me forget happy memories… Giving Ha-jin a smile… who finds herself blushing on camera
Ha-jin: How do you live with such a condition
Anchor Lee: For many years I tried to avoid people and places that would trigger my memories…. But I came to the realization I was no longer living… I was letting my condition rule my life and not letting others into it.
Ha-jin: Many people have heard about the one event that has made headlines…. It effected you and me in different ways… are you willing to share your perspective
Anchor Lee: you are referring to Seon-yun?….. Jung Seon-yun came into my life at a time when I fond myself lost… her simplistic outlook of life made me realize that life was meant to be lived and not to be sheltered away…. She brought joy and sunlight into my dark world. Each moment I spent with her brought a side of me that only my mother had filled. I came to love her and when she fell to her death in front of me…. I blamed myself for letting her enter my world
Ha-jin: you never told me you blamed yourself… you had nothing to do with that psychopaths thoughts….. Ha-jin regains her composure…. I'm sorry for that interruption…. That was uncalled for… please continue
Anchor Lee looks at Ha-jin and the pain that she is feeling that her lover actually felt that way…..
Anchor Lee: people including myself process guilt and pain differently… I had felt that if I had never let Seon-yun into my life she may have never become a victim to the twisted mind of Moon Seung-ho
Ha-jin: with that thinking you would have never felt the love she had for you….. she loved you very much…. She told me so... as her best friend… I'm sorry … I shouldn't be interjecting my feelings into this interview
Anchor Lee once again smiles seeing Ha-jin being so protective of him
Anchor Lee: You're very correct… If I would have mistakenly never let Seon-yun into my life I would've never experienced real love and the love that was waiting for me after her death.
Ha-jin eyes light up and a smile crosses her face….. Anchor Lee is not afraid to love her as she is
Ha-jin: Our time is almost over… Anchor Lee… I have one last question…. Are you ready to marry me and make an honest woman out of me?
Kim Chul-woog is having a panic attack in the control room….. Ha-jin closes the show without getting Anchor Lee's answer… how could she do this to him? To make matters worse Hee-sang comes in to congratulate him on a very good segment… but then leaves him hanging
Choi Hee-sang: We've been monitoring the public's reaction to the whole hour….. Ha-jin did her part and kept peoples spell bound with her interviewing skills… why didn't you prep her enough to not leave the show in a cliff hanger status…. I guess your surprise will be also a cliff hanger
Kim Chul-woog: You can't keep teasing me like that… you know this was the ratings winner… you have to live up to your promise
Choi Hee-sang: I guess you'll have to wait until the real numbers come in….. I will give credit for effort
Choi Hee-sang walks away with a devilish look on her face … will she reward her husband in the office or wait till they get home…. Making love on the office couch has always been something Chul-woog has fantasized about.
Ha-jin received her answer from Anchor Lee as he gathered their immediate family and friends to their new home where Ha-kyung and Il-kwon prepared the back yard for a wedding ceremony that was held in the simplicity that has become Ha-jin and Anchor Lee's new life together. They exchange their wedding vows to love, honor and protect each other through thickness and thin, good times and bad and to always let the other know what they are feeling.
That night after everyone leaves Ha- Jin looks at her husband
Ha-jin: who would've thought that after that interview I did with you, that I would become Mrs Anchor Lee… This is the start of our new memory box…. Tomorrow will go see your mother so that I can thank her properly for giving you to me
Their wedding night was spent in wedded bliss as they both achieved sexual satisfaction with a lasting impact. That impact was seen nine months later at the premier showing of " Find Me in Your Memory"
Reporters come up to a very pregnant Ha-jin and ask her thoughts on the show
Reporter: Miss Yeo… you've become a global star… this movie will propel you to superstar status…. How do you feel about that
Ha-Jin: I'm no longer Miss Yeo but Mrs Anchor Lee and looking at my condition I have only one priority…. Delivering the healthiest and happiest baby that I can… She looks at Anchor Lee…. Sweetheart…. Take me to the hospital I think our baby wants to make his premier
Anchor Lee: Are you sure, we've had false alarms before
Ha-Jin: I'm very sure… my water has broken ….. we need to go now
Anchor Lee picks up Ha-jin and carries her to the car and drives to the hospital with reporters following him.
At the hospital Ha-Kyung comforts her sister while her husband ….. Il-kwon, takes charge of the reporters trying to take pictures
Jo Il-kwon: The Lee family will release a press release as to the status of Ha-jin and the baby, at an appropriate time…however at this time they request complete privacy for the mother and her new baby
As was the case in their first interview Ha-jin and Anchor Lee's relationship came to bloom during that first interview…. It is rather appropriate that the new memory box that Ha-jin has started is filled with more interviews and events that will make baby Lee's life even more memorable.
