Chapter 14: Squad 10
Walking through the broken squad, Matsumoto simply groans as she looks everything over. From the training grounds to the office, everything is broken and still covered in ice. Moving along the building that was the office, she frowns as she notices that part of the Captain's quarters are destroyed. She moves up and into the building and she spots Tsuki with a bandage around his head.
"How are you holding up?" He jumps at her voice and frowns when he moves to get behind what's left of the porch.
"Where's the Captain?"
"He was needed at a Captain's meeting, and should be coming back soon. DId you need something?" Matsumoto moves forward and he moves back.
"No, I will wait for him." Tsuki doesn't make eye contact as he leaves quickly into what's still standing of the home. She moves to follow, hoping to keep a better eye on him. Since the battle and finding Tsuki knocked out by fallen debris. The Captain's rage had flared, everything was taking its toll again on him.
She watches as Tsuki jumps catching sight of her and scurries away into the kitchen.
"I'm fine! You don't need to be here, leave before the Captain gets home!" The anger in which the boy speaks brings sorrow to the woman's heart. Seeing him like this, so far away from everything, Toshiro's mood is influencing others. Stepping back out of the home, Rangiku makes her way back to the Training area.
Soldiers move back and forth and she spots a few lieutenants coming her way.
"Rangiku!" Izaru, Momo and Shuhei come up and watch a bit as the reconstruction team begins off on a far corner. Matsumoto comes up to them and practically drapes herself over Momo.
"Why did it have to be my squad?" She whines out and Momo chuckles as she pushes back against the woman. Both men chuckle as they shrug.
"Squad 3 has some damage too, but Captain Rojuro was able to handle that Tengu quickly." Shuhei punches Izaru in the shoulder cutting off the brag.
"But damn, that sword does major damage once all's said and done." Shuhei crosses his arms as he looks at Matsumoto. The woman simply frowns before pulling off Momo who gives her a small smile.
"How's Shiro?" She asks looking around the area.
"I'd like them to lift the restriction off us, not being armed is very unsettling. Tsuki's inside what's left of the Captain's quarters." Matsumoto turns to look back at the broken office.
"Where will they go?" Momo frowns as she notices Matsumoto ignoring her question.
"For now, my home is open to them. But I also know that Squad 4 has space for the rest of the Squad. He may stay close to them for a few days. I know he's talked about sending Tsuki home, him being here is more trouble than he needs right now." Momo crosses her arms and the boys shrug as they move out of the way for the construction crew.
"It would be best, considering what happened to the girl." Speaks up Izaru as he lays a hand on his sword.
"I don't think Tsuki will go for that, he's too attached to the Captain right now. If Juno was here it would be easier, she'd talk to him properly."
"Shiro has a soft spot for him, it's cute." Say's Momo says as she watches Captain Hitsugaya come down the road. All three lieutenants line up and bow as he gets closer.
"Izaru, how bad is Squad 3?"
"10% is down right now, luckily for us we were able to stop the damage quickly." Izaru seems to shrink a bit as the Captain doesn't really listen for the answer.
"Rangiku, prepare the squad that doesn't have a place to stay. They'll be split between Squad 4 and 11 for now." Toshiro doesn't wait for a reply before making his way over to the damaged office. Momo moves to follow and comes to stand beside him.
"Toshiro, are you okay?"
"It's Captain Hitsugaya, Lieutenant Hinamori. Please head back to your squad, we have work to do." His words are cold and everything stings as Momo looks at him with wide eyes.
"You need to talk to someone Shiro.."
"Don't call me that." He turns to her and the glare freezes her in place.
"I advise you and the other lieutenants to get back to your squad. Squad 10 is shut down for the time being." Matsumoto gasps before coming closer.
"Captain they can't!"
"We have no say in the matter, as of this moment. We are being benched." Toshiro holds up his left hand and pulls down the sleeve of his coat and shukasho. Around his wrist is a gold band about two inches wide. A limiter cuff, less detailed than the ones used at the Compound.
"Captain...but if Juno comes back..."
"Lord Kaito and Juno have been upgraded in status. Kaito is to be killed, Juno is to be taken if possible. If she fights, Juno is to be killed on site." Toshiro turns away from them all and heads to what's left of his quarters. Matsumoto follows quickly, asking more questions as she goes.

Welcome to the last part of Sins of the Exiled! I was gonna do a end chapter like the first part, but I dont think I have anything for that. So I'll be posting part 3 tomorrow night.
