A Goat's Tale: Mastering the Art of Mastering
By: M14Mouse
Summary: Theo has a lot to tell Goat about becoming a Master, defeating Dai-Shi and asking Lily on a date.
Disclaimer: Don't own them.
"You know…you have a habit of missing all of the good stuff. I have so much to tell you," Theo said as he stoked Goat's head.
He and Goat were sitting under a tree near Goat's little house. He eyed the shelter critically. He is going to need to build Goat a new one. He only temporarily planned it to last until the fight with Dai Shi was over. Now, he was going to build him a better one. He was definitely going to add that rubber matting that the internet suggested. Goat nudged his hand a little bit to continue his scratching.
"Blah…"
"Not my fault that you decided to get involved with a monster battle. Honestly, what were you thinking?"
"Bla…Blah."
He snorted.
"Of course, you wanted to play with the monster. You are lucky that I like you or I would have left you," Theo snorted.
Goat moved his head away from his hand and nibbled on it.
"Fine…I wouldn't have left you but you nearly gave me a heart attack."
Goat laid his head on his lap.
"Don't ever do that again. Anyway…what happened when you were out? Oh, I became a Master. Not that you know what that is."
Goat gave him a sideways look.
"Don't give me that look. You don't. See?" He said as he rolled up his sleeve to show Goat his mark. Goat leaned over and sniffed it.
He lifted his head and gave him an unimpressive look.
"See? I knew that you weren't impressed. Lily and I got ours first then Casey got his later. It is confusing, I know. But we did it. Then there was Dai-Shi. We defeated him…no more monster attacks that you can be involved in," He said as he gave Goat a look.
"Blah…"
He snorted as he scratched Goat's head.
"Anyway, I'm going to bring over Jarrod and Camille next week some time. Don't scare them too much. They are still adjusting and don't eat them or steal their socks."
"Blah…"
"I know that you like socks but you don't have to steal them all of the time."
Goat lifted his head and sneezed.
"I don't need socks either, especially Jarrod and Camille's socks. Goodwill has been giving me looks especially when I show up with a bag of socks."
"Blah…"
"Don't blah me. I feel stupid when I have to explain that my goat stole the socks."
"Blah."
He rolled his eyes.
"Finally, manned up and asked Lily out. She said yes."
"BLAH!"
"Not you too. You and Fran were talking, weren't you? Honestly, you don't have a girlfriend goat. You don't know how to ask another goat out."
"Blah!"
"Uh huh...,' He said with a grin.
He thought for a moment as a horrifying thought hit him. Dear spirits, he hadn't even thought about it. Where in the world does he take his best friend for a date? He didn't want to ask Casey and RJ for advice. He had a feeling that would end terribly and him being embarrassed. He looked down at Goat and blinked.
"Goat…what have I gotten myself into?"
