Amaya quickly made her way to the first monitor she could find. She didn't have a match tonight, hell, she hasn't had a match in a few months now. Not since she lost the title to Nia at WrestleMania. It was a triple threat match, her, Alexa, and Nia.
She had a rematch for it at Backlash, but they cut her out of it. Which didn't go well when they worked it into the storyline. The fans booed Kurt.
"That came from The Authority, Maya, not me. If it was me, you would be in this match"
Kurt had said to her. Then they had stopped her from managing Roman after last years WrestleMania.
"How's he doing? Did I miss anything?", Seth asked.
"Not much", she said.
He nodded, hands on his hips as his eyes watched the two men on the screen.
"Where's Dean?", Amaya asked.
"They called him into a meeting", he answered.
She nodded. Dean joined them halfway through the match.
"Hey you almost missed it", Amaya said.
"Sorry", he replied.
"Everything go okay?", Seth asked.
He nodded.
"Just wanted to check in with me about my injury.", he shrugged.
Seth nodded and put his attention back on the screen. Amaya watched Dean and raised a brow. Dean smirked.
"I'll tell you later Smalls", he whispered.
She nodded.
"There's Braun", Seth said excited.
"I bet he's excited, huh", Dean said.
"Yeah, he finally gets to beat Brock and become Universal Champion. Although if you ask me, Roman won it fair and square the last time", Amaya said.
"Hell yeah he did", Seth said.
"Not just about that though, if you ask me, he's more excited about the baby", Dean said.
"Wait, no way, you and Nikki?", Amaya asked.
Dean almost choked on his water. Seth slapped his back.
"Me and Nikki? A baby? No", Dean said, shaking his head.
"Ever?", Amaya asked.
He blushed.
"Don't rush me woman, eventually yes", Dean said.
Seth chuckled. Amaya shook her head.
"Then what baby, may I ask are you referring too?", Amaya asked.
"I know it's not me and Brie", Seth added.
"Roman told us that this year you promised him baby number three.", Dean said.
Amaya sighed and hung her head.
"You forgot?", Dean asked.
"I didn't forget", she mumbled.
Both men laughed and shook their heads.
"Okay, yes I forgot. I didn't think two years would go by this fast. Wow, I've really been married two years", she said.
Both men nodded. They all turned their heads when they answered Roman's spear. They watched the ref get to three and Roman holding the title.
She smiled.
"Let's go out there and celebrate with our boy", Seth said excited.
Amaya pointed at them both as they reached Gorilla.
"Don't tell him I forgot", she said.
"Promise", they both replied.
Getting in the ring with Roman, he went over to his wife and kissed her.
"Congratulations babe", she said.
While Roman was getting showered and dressed, Amaya went to see Carano.
"Hey, come on in", he said when she poked her head around the corner.
"Sorry, I know you were probably packing up to go", she said.
"Not a problem. So what can I do for you?", he asked.
"I was just wondering if you guys had anything for me? I mean, I should get my rematch too, right? I lost my title at WrestleMania, not Alexa. I should have been in that match at Backlash", she said.
He nodded.
"That's true, but with Ronda coming into the picture, things for you have slowed down, but I promise you, you will get your rematch", he said.
"When?", she asked.
"When the time is right", he replied.
"Okay look, I promised my husband we could try for another baby, he extended my time another two months because he thought I was getting my rematch, I'm sure he's due to ask what's going on", she said.
Carano just smiled and nodded.
"The best I can do now is just promise that you'll get it. When? I don't know", he said.
She sighed and nodded.
"I'm sorry kiddo", he said, before she left.
Getting to the Shields locker room, the guys walked out. Still hyped about Roman winning the match and finally having a full time Universal Champion.
He saw her and his smile grew.
"Where did you go?", he asked, taking her hand as his other was busy pulling his suitcase behind him.
"Went to talk to Carano", she said.
"Did he say why you haven't had your rematch?", he asked.
"Ronda", she sighed.
He nodded. They knew that since Ronda was a big star outside of WWE, she could bring in a different fanbase.
"Still shouldn't hold off your rematch for this long", he said.
"Really? Look what they did to Finn. He hasn't had his rematch since he returned", she said.
He groaned. Even though things were fine between the men now, he still didn't like it when she brought him up.
"The difference between you and Finn is, he didn't really lose it. He had to give it up, I don't know if that qualifies him to get a rematch, love", he said.
"Still", she mumbled.
He smiled.
"You know, I'm Universal champion now. I can technically give him a match", he shrugged.
She raised a brow.
"What's the catch?", she asked.
"What?", he asked.
"I mean, what do you get in return?", she asked.
"From Finn or you?", he asked.
"Well obviously me", she giggled.
He licked his lips.
"We've been married two years now, my calendar alarm went off on our Anniversary. I didn't want to say anything because well, I was waiting for you to get your rematch", he said.
"Can you extend that, just a little longer?", she asked.
He stopped them and faced her.
"Till?", he asked.
"Give me another month and if by then, they give me nothing. We can start on baby number three, promise", she said.
"Okay", he replied.
She stood on her tippy toes and kissed him.
"I love you and I owe you an Anniversary date. With all our traveling, we didn't get to properly celebrate", he said, wiggling his brows.
She giggled.
"Hey, maybe we can do something when we go to Australia, you know before the Super Show Down thing.", he said.
She pinched him and he hissed.
"You know damn well I'm not going. Hello, I don't have a match", she said, hands on her hips.
"You might have one by then", he said, rubbing his arm.
She crossed her arms over her chest.
"I'm sorry", she said, kissing him.
"That pinch hurt", he said.
She kissed him again. Hearing a honk, they pulled apart.
"If you two are ready, can we hit the road now. We still have Raw tomorrow and I for one need sleep", Seth said.
"We're coming", Roman replied.
He put their bags in the back before joining them in the car.
Amaya and Roman left Malia and Autumn with AJ and Phil. Sometimes it was Sika and Patricia, others it was her mom.
"My sister called", Amaya said.
Listening to the voicemail AJ left her.
"Yaya, you've got to call me back as soon as possible. We've got a little problem here, okay, not little, big, as in Roman's ex big. She's back Yaya, sober but back. Call me"
Her sister had said. Amaya removed the phone from her ear before looking at Roman. He was laughing at something Dean said, before he caught the look on her face.
"What? Are the girls okay?", he asked.
"Its Valerie. She showed up at my sister's house", she said.
She could feel Dean turn to look at her and Seth watching her in the mirror.
"Did you know?", she asked him.
"Of course not", he said, looking at his phone and checking his emails.
They had told Valerie that once she was released from the sober house, she had to call. Giving them a warning and a chance for them to tell Autumn her mom was coming back.
Amaya called her sister back.
"Hey, finally", AJ said.
"Sorry, I left my phone in my bag", she replied.
"She's not here anymore. She wanted to see Autumn and she hit me with the, 'I know I should have called, but' bullshit", AJ said.
"How's Autumn?", Amaya asked.
"She saw her and took off, locking herself in the room. Didn't want to come out till Phil told her she left.", AJ said.
Amaya sighed.
"Okay, I'm going to talk to Hunter and Vince tomorrow, see if I can go home", Amaya said.
"Alright, let me know. If she comes back I won't let her in.", AJ said.
"Remind her that we had an agreement. If that doesn't work, call her sponsor, he was there when we spoke to our lawyers about this", Amaya said.
"Got it. Get some sleep sis", AJ said, before hanging up on Amaya.
Amaya sighed.
"She's not going to hurt Autumn, she's her mom", Roman said.
Amaya raised a brow.
"Are you kidding me? She tried to paint you as a drug user. Your mom said Val would grab Autumn and drag her out. She also agreed to this. I don't want her around Autumn till I see with my own eyes that she has changed. I will not put that little girl through more pain", Amaya said.
"Agreed", Dean said.
Seth raised his hand.
"Add me to that", he said.
Roman sighed, but nodded.
"Alright, you are right. All three of you", Roman said.
"And they said this foursome wouldn't work", Dean said.
Everyone laughed.
