While this idea is still fresh in my head, I'm going to continue it! Small things, I know that Roger himself never stated that he was the Pirate King, that the newspapers and the whole world called him that. Also, this is an AU. Stuff will change from canon. And if you don't think they will, well wait until Marineford. But yeah, I'll try to keep things as close as I can to canon for the most part, but there's going to be a few changes here and there of course. Future warning, it will be an OC x Harem, but accidental. It's no stranger than the stories with a Luffy harem, just an OC that realizes it's happening but can't prevent it! Without further ado, chapter two of the Dark Prince!

Before we start, I'm going to put ages for the more important people here. Mostly for my own sanity, because I goofed up a few things in my prior chapter, like accidentally making Kenway shorter in Wano than he was when he was with Doflamingo and make Yamato older than Kenway (yes I'm using the timeline, but everyone can still make mistakes!).

Kaido very nearly dropped his sake bottle. He really didn't have any hopes for the kid, but here he was, with his daughter. He looked at his sake bottle for a minute before staring down at the two. "You mean…"

Yamato nodded her head. "Yes father. I'm done with Oden." A grin started to spread across Kaido's face. When he had sent Kenway to help his daughter two years ago, he won't lie, he was sending the kid to his doom. But this? This was better than anything he expected!

"Excellent! Kenway, you may as well have just made it into my top five favorite people. With you aiding my daughter in getting over her obsession with Kozuki Oden, a man that even managed to wound me and garner my respect, begrudgingly I might add, you will join King and Queen as one of my All-Stars."

Kenway nodded his head. The young man had grown from 5'7" to 6'6" in the last few years, while Yamato had grown to be taller than him still at an even 7 feet tall now. "I am touched by your enthusiasm Kaido-sama and am honored to be a member of your elite circle. My training will not stop just because of this promotion."

Kaido nodded his head. "I would expect nothing less. Do remember that all ranks, even All-Stars, are up for grabs." Kenway frowned softly. "I understand. I know what I said years ago about devil fruits, but I have learned of one that I wish to acquire one day."

Kaido leaned forward in interest. "Oh? Which one?" "The Goro-Goro no mi. If I combine it with my swordsmanship and haki, very little people will stand in my way."

"Wororo! I'm sure we'll all keep an eye out for it then. For my newest All-Star!" He raised his sake glass up and the crew all proceeded to party. Kenway and Yamato walked off in the rowdiness of the party. Kenway had his hands behind his back as he walked away.

"And thus we start our recruitment. We'll need everything if we plan to overthrow your father and return the Kozuki family into power. Strength is everything to Kaido, we can play into that." Yamato nodded her head with a serious expression.

"The trail of information is also necessary. For us, we will need to know every weakness of the crew, as well as keeping our weakness limited. We'll also need to find the Nine Red Scabbards of Oden, to ensure that they are in on the plans and to ensure Wano survives." Kenway stated with his eyes closed, walking through the hallways with Yamato.

"Once we have our information gathering leader, I can start sailing out to find my own crew. You and whoever I can find will work on ensuring that the younger generation that join us do not fall into Kaido's mindset of thinking." Yamato frowned softly but nodded. "I'm still mad that I can't come out with you."

"I know, but since your father will still have his eyes on you, albeit a more relaxed eye, he'll be suspicious of you just leaving without any reason, especially to follow me." He opened his eyes and looked over at her. "I also need you to make sure that whoever we find won't betray us to Kaido. If he finds out this plot, he'll have no remorse in executing me, and you'll be imprisoned again like before."

Yamato's eyes widened in fear before they narrowed in seriousness and nodded. "Who do you have in mind?" "I've been hearing rumors of a young woman, a year older than you, whose the populace is supposedly calling a monster." Kenway said as they were heading out of the Skull Dome of Onigashima. "Sounds familiar, does it not?" "A devil fruit user?" Yamato asked as Kenway nodded.

A few weeks later

Kenway was walking towards a spider den with an amused smile on his face, fixing his glasses. How could he tell that it was a spider den? Yamato had been going with him and at the sight of the little creatures, took off running the other way with a very girly scream, unlike the strong woman that she was becoming.

He set his finger out for a spider to land on it. He looked at it with a smile. "I'm here to talk to the supposed "monster" that's here. Could you let them know that I'm here and just want to talk?" The spider went back up its web and disappeared from sight. After a few minutes of waiting, he set his cutlass on the ground.

"I mean you no harm! I just wish to talk to you!" He yelled out, causing an echo to go through the cavern. Out from the cavern came three larger spiders, followed by a woman whose upper body was still that of a woman, but the lower half being a spider.

He could tell she had a bit of fear in her eyes as she tried to make herself be intimidating as she could. His smile never left his face. "Now when I heard rumors of a "monster" being up here, the last thing I expected was a beautiful young woman up here."

She blushed a little, despite her taller size. She was 20'5" tall, long blonde hair and a curvy figure that her worn-out clothes did little to hide. Her blush faded as she glared at him. "Why are you here?"

Kenway held his hands up. "I just want to talk, that's all. I want to make a deal with you." Her fear led to anger as it boiled up. "Deal?! What, you want to lay with me so that you can brag about it?! It's obvious you're not here to kill me so talk!"

Kenway's eyes narrowed as he blasted Conqueror's Haki out, causing the spiders to pass out and the woman's spider legs to buckle form underneath her as she gasped in horror. "I am not one of those people. If I did, I'd sooner commit seppuku than live with that shame."

He released the wave of Haki as she stood back up shakily. "I want you to join me. As I'm sure news is travelling, I'm Silvers Kenway (1), the newest All-Star to the Beast Pirates."

She frowned softly and before she could say a word, he lifted his hand up. "I'm not asking you to join the Beast Pirates if that's what you're thinking. I'm aware that I'm a member of them, but I won't be for the long run. Under Kaido's nose, I'll be creating my own crew. Since I can only do so much without Kaido learning of it, I need to keep him in the dark."

"And you want my help? Why? I'm not exactly subtle in this giant form of mine." She said with a frown. "Because you're exactly what I need. I know that you have the strength to protect yourself. Did you happen to eat a fruit with some random patterns on it, and tasted horrible?"

She nodded softly with a grimace. "You ate a devil fruit then. A spider-based one it seems. Try focusing on what you looked like before the spider form came out."

She nodded again and concentrated. As she did so, Kenway pulled out a scroll that had a set of women's clothes in it. Having heard rumors of the "Spider Queen" he figured that it would be a devil fruit user and came prepared. He set them off to the side and turned away.

A gasp of surprise was heard from behind him as he heard the shifting and movement of the woman grabbing the clothes and putting them on. "Y-you can look now, Captain." Kenway turned as he saw that she had put on the kimono, letting it hang down past her knees.

Kenway smiled. "The reason I wanted you in my crew wasn't solely because of your strength…." "Maria." "Maria, it was because of the spiders. Information gathering is vital for my operation. If my operation was leaked out to Kaido, anyone involved with me would be executed alongside me, and possibly be made into a grand spectacle like that of Kozuki Oden's."

Maria's eyes widened. "O-Oden-sama…." Kenway nodded his head grimly. "He was a part of Gold Roger's crew, alongside my father, Silvers Rayleigh." Maria's eyes widened even more at the information. Kenway hooked his cutlass back to his hip. "And now you see how information can play a big part in everyday plans. Maria, I would like to ask for your help, in finding the Nine Red Scabbards as well as Kozuki Oden's children, to bring order and reopen Wano's closed borders."

Maria's eyes watered slightly before nodding. "I will, I've always believed that Oden-sama was put through Hell before his execution. To act like that to save everyone, myself included, and then the boiling oil…. I want to see Wano's borders opened."

Kenway smirked softly, "There's more to it though. You have a dream?" Maria nodded. "I wanted to be a businesswoman, wanted to open brothels. To be of service to you, I can open up brothels throughout Wano. Some of them for information gathering, and some of them as fronts to protect any children that I come across, to ensure they don't have to go through what I had to."

Kenway nodded his head and pushed his glasses up to fix them. "That's fine with me. I want to see the world and have adventures like my father told me that he and Roger had throughout the years."

Kenway held Maria's hand and kissed it softly. "And just like the black widow, waiting to strike, you will be my Black Maria, waiting with a smile and when the time comes to strike, it will be deadly." Maria blushed brightly before giggling.

They walked back towards the exit of the spider cavern where Yamato was waiting with a bright red face and her arms crossed, huffing. "It took you long enough Kenway! And who's this?" "This my dear Yamato, is Black Maria, my first official crewmate and our information broker."

Yamato looked at the taller woman before huffing. "She looks like a courtesan." Black Maria smiled. "That's the idea. It's a perfect disguise for my true intentions, to help us bring the Kozuki family back into power."

Yamato's frown deepened before it turned into a smile. "You actually told her the real reason?" Kenway laughed softly. "Of course I did. She had three large spiders with her, and I wanted to be honest with her." Yamato paled considerably, almost turning as white as her hair. Kenway and Maria laughed heartily.

A year later

Kenway frowned softly, seeing the state of the two children that Black Maria had wanted him to see. "What the hell happened to them?" Kenway had grown to be an even 7 feet tall, now 18 years of age. Maria frowned. "I found them like this in one of the back alleys near my primary brothel. With them being so close to it, I was worried about them."

Yamato growled as the blue tips of her hair started to sway. "Those damn assholes!" Kenway would've reprimanded her for her language if he wasn't feeling the same way.

He looked them over, seeing they were thin, very thin for children. 'Probably orphans the way they're so thin and everything.' "Maria, I trust you to look after them until they wake up. Please, let me know the moment they do so I can be here."

Maria nodded her head as Kenway walked out of the back room and out into the alleyway, where Maria had found the two children. He scanned the area before activating his observation Haki to see if he could tell anything (2). 'I can sense the kids here.' He looked over to the knocked over trashcan. 'They were looking for food, which isn't out of the ordinary for orphans.'

He saw the two kids, without their wounds, looking through the trash can. He saw the brother look to the end of the alley. 'He saw something that spooked them.' He looked to the alleyway and opened his mind up. 'I can't exactly tell who it is, but it wasn't Maria or one of her workers. He was a larger individual, and that could easily be either King or Queen, or even that new All-Star, Jack. But I have their haki memorized, neither of them were the attacker.'

He squinted his eyes as he racked his brain. 'There have been series of attacks much like this one throughout this area and throughout Kuri in general. If from what I can tell..' He placed his hand and send out a burst of Haki, a small one to not send anyone into a panic.

His eyes narrowed as he got a better feeling about it. 'The Mt. Atama thieves, led by Shutenmaru. They're the ones I'm after, but why did they attack children? Was it because of the proximity of the Black Maiden, or did they want to be found?'

He went to leave before Maria came out. "Kenway, they're awake!" Kenway turned his head and nodded, before heading back into the back room. He saw the two children awake, looking at the three with fear in their eyes. He noticed a similar feature between the two; they both wore masks to cover their lower faces and also had blue hair. 'Siblings…..' He thought before a small smile crossed his face.

"Good morning. I hope you two are feeling alright." The older one spoke up shakily, the girl. "W-where are we? L-last thing I remember is scary men attacking me and- PAY-TAN!" She looked over and hugged her little brother.

Kenway had an amused smile on his face as Maria had a deep frown on her face. "My, you care for your little brother a lot huh? Don't worry, you two are safe here, Miss Maria here will take care of you two."

The girl's lone eye watered as Kenway could tell that she was ecstatic. "My name is Kenway, the white-haired lady is Yamato. Could you tell me your names?"

"U-Ulti, this is my brother Pay-Tan." Maria giggled softly into her hand as the brother let out a sigh. "Page One is my name." Kenway raised an eye at the unusual name before shrugged it off. "Don't worry you two will be safe."

He looked at Maria and Yamato. "Make sure they get some actual food in them. They were looking through a trashcan in the alleyway." Ulti and Page One's eyes widened slightly at how he knew that as Maria nodded and left them. "Yamato, watch over them. I'll be taking care of the…." He looked between Ulti and Page One. "Jerks…. Who did this to them." Yamato nodded as Ulti and Page One clung to her like younger siblings.

An hour later

Kenway walked to the base of the Mt. Atama thieves as he drove his cutlass into the ground and with Haki enhancing his voice, yelled. "Mt. Atama thieves! Shutenmaru! I call for you to face justice! For the crimes you have committed, to the most heinous of crimes, the wounding of two children that are now in my care!" The thieves swarmed out and surrounded him as the giant of a man came out. He had pink hair and tan skin, a pink and purple cloak on his shoulders.

He had a furious expression on his face, but not at the intruder. "You idiots harmed children?!" He roared, causing Kenway to adopt a look of surprise as the thieves all shivered in fear. "H-he's lying Shutenmaru-sama! We would never do that!" Kenway narrowed his eyes before releasing a burst of Conqueror's Haki to knock out the thieves, causing Shutenmaru to be the one surprised. 'C-Conqueror's! Just like Oden-sama!'

Kenway pulled his cutlass out of the ground and stared at the giant of the man. "Don't even lie to me Shutenmaru. I know you were there. What, were you hoping to make me look like an incompetent fool? That I could deal with some thieves?"

Shutenmaru narrowed his eyes and pulled out his blades. "I did it because I could! Because I wanted to spite Kaido and Orochi for their deeds!" He slammed both his blades down towards Kenway, using his superior strength, but was taken back when Kenway blocked both his blades with his cutlass, the ground cracking below them.

Kenway's eyes narrowed dangerously. "I don't care what you have against Kaido or Orochi, no one will harm children under my watch!"

Kenway threw him off as Shutenmaru slid back. Kenway leaped up and slammed down onto Shutenmaru's swords before flipping over the larger man and went for a reverse stab, of which was dodged.

Shutenmaru, not having seen too much action in a long time, was starting to sweat. 'Forgive me Oden-Sama, I'm not used to fighting like I did before your execution.' The disguised Ashura Doji thought before regripping his swords.

Doji infused his blades with Haki, as Kenway did the same with his cutlass. A resounding boom was heard as the two men clashed. A block there, a parry here, some dodging, and Kenway was proving himself to be the nimbler of the two swordsmen. One final clash and the two slid away from each other with Doji panting heavily while Kenway glaring at him.

Doji, while having no wounds on him, was outclassed due to a lack of a challenge and thus no consistent training. Kenway himself was always training when not busy, constantly training with Yamato and Black Maria to improve them. Doji planted his swords on the ground and kneeled. "I-I can't…. continue… you've won, Kenway the Decimation."

Kenway frowned and went to deliver the death blow. "Forgive me… Oden-Sama." Doji muttered to himself before Kenway stopped, inches from Doji's neck. "Oden… you're one of them." Kenway stated with surprise. He pulled out his Den-Den before calling Maria. "Maria, I think I found one of the Nine." The surprise from the blonde snail came forward, as did the pink haired man.

"Are you sure Captain?" She asked as Kenway spoke. "I'll describe him. Pink hair, tan skin. Very large man with purple tattoos on his shoulders and down to his elbows." "Captain, that's Ashura Doji!"

Kenway's eyes widened as a broad smile crossed his face. He sheathed his cutlass as he looked at the defeated giant. "Ashura Doji. I'm impressed actually that I managed to stand up and defeated one of the Nine Red Scabbards, one of the nine retainers of Kozuki Oden."

Doji, unsure of what to make of Kenway's comments, looked to the side. "And now I'll die, because of that huh?" Kenway shook his head. "Not at all, I've been looking for the nine for my own plans. Do you remember Oden's final words?"

Doji turned and glared at him. "Of course I do! He wanted us to open Wano's borders! Until that snake Orochi and your traitorous dog of a captain killed him!"

Kenway laughed softly as Doji was fuming. "He's not my captain." Doji's eyes widened as the anger left him. "I only serve him to further my own goals right now. I've already started to plan against him, to ensure that Oden's dreams of opening up Wano comes true."

Kenway's expression turned serious. "I need to find and talk to the other eight, to bring them in on this plan of mine, as well as finding Oden's children. Do you happen to know where any of them are?"

Doji shook his head. "I distanced myself from them after Oden's death. We all took off with only me and Denjiro staying behind to fight Kaido for a time."

Kenway frowned softly before connecting a few dots and nodded softly. "Stay out of trouble Doji and teach your men a little thing about discipline." Kenway walked away much to Doji's confusion and relief.

Half an hour later

Kenway walked back into the Black Maiden's back room and saw the kids looked to be in better shape. He smiled gently. "Don't worry, I took care of the man that was responsible for your injuries. He won't bother you or anyone else again."

The two children smiled faintly with tears in their eyes before Yamato frowned. "And why couldn't I come with you to bash their heads around?" "Because I needed you hear Yamato." He said certainly with a smile. "Besides, I don't want them picking up on Maria's mannerisms." He said teasingly before Maria hit him upside the head with an angry, comical expression.

"OY, I'm not as bad as you, mister eats-everything-I-got-in-one-sitting and proceeds to fall asleep wherever I choose!" Kenway laughed heartily. "See what I mean?" Maria hit him again, causing a bump to form. Yamato deadpanned as the kids hid behind her. "Maria, you're not helping and just proving his point."

(1): He learned not to use the D. part of his name unless it was serious from the way Doflamingo would react to it, and the dirty look he'd get from said man.

(2): Swiping the detective mode from the Arkham games for this, more specifically the Arkham Knight version of it.

Anyways! I felt like I needed to stop this somewhere before it gets too long, and I end up going over stuff I don't mean to. Some of you may notice that Kenway has started recruitment for his own crew, that crew involving some higher rank members from Kaido's future crew and the Tobiroppo. I planned this, only to truly make the future alliance even stronger, to give hope to the people of Wano that Kaido and Orochi can be overthrown. Also future spoiler, Yamato will be taking Kanjuro's spot instead of Izo, mostly because I feel it would fit better. Leave a review, follow and favorite! Would you kindly?
