AN: Here we are at the end! I want to thank everyone that's read and left comments, as I've been doing the Magical World series for two years now! (Wow, time has flown so fast since 2020, huh?) Also, the next chapter is this saga will be starting next week; that's right, no breaks, we're going right into the next story, so stay tuned towards the end for more information on that!
With the Grand Prix concluded, everyone was ready for the big afterparty at Disney Castle. All the racer's friends, even the ones that didn't participate in the race, showed up for the celebration. Drinks and food were there, as well as a dance floor with DJ K-Dance as the music master for the night.
"Oh yeah, check out my moves!" Sprig called, dancing the night away.
"Come on Scratch, join us!" Molly shouted.
"No thanks, I'll stick to the food table, thank you very much," the ghost replied.
"Heh, the kids sure are having a lot of fun out there," Eda mused. "Nice to have some downtime before things get crazy again."
"Right, you guys have your big finale to prepare for," Rachel noted. "I always wondered how your experiences here and what happens in your show affects you."
"Oh, I can explain that!" Jasiri said, walking up with Team Dream Keeper. "You see, whenever something new happens to us in our own worlds, our memories get "updated" when we wake back up here in the Magical World."
"It's kinda like a video game getting a new patch," Gabriel explained. "It's also why there's the rule in place about characters having to wait a certain amount of time before dating. I'd be awkward to date someone here and then suddenly find out that you're already in a relationship."
"The woes of being a fictional character," Rachel sighed. "How does that work for someone like Rocket, who has multiple versions of himself?"
"Oh, I'm just a combination of all my different selves," Rocket explained. "Unless there's a version of me that's majorly different, then that one gets to be their own person. Like how there's regular Wolverine and Old Man Logan: they're the same person, but their realities are so different that they can exist at the same time here in the Magical World."
As the group discussed more about how the Magical World worked, Aline slid over to Logan by the punch bowl. "Hey, glad that we can be friends now," she said.
"Yeah, now we can be friendly rivals," Logan nodded.
"Say, how about we have a dance?" Aline offered. "I can show you some of my cat-like grace, fluffy."
Logan choked on his drink a bit. "What did I say about using that nickname!?" he whisper-shouted. "And besides, I do have a girlfriend."
"But Destiny's a whale shark, she'd take up the entire dance floor," Aline pointed out.
"She does have a human form," Logan countered.
Aline shrugged. "Fair, but we should totally have a dance off. I just need to find a good partner for that."
"I can be your partner!" Toren said, flying up between the two. "We have the feline beat that's so in-sync that the competition just can't compete!"
"Did you just rhyme all that?" Logan chuckled.
"It was pretty cute," Aline giggled, making Toren rub the back of his head, a bit flustered now. "But sure, we can dance, Toren."
"I'll get Destiny and the dance-off will be on!" Logan said, giving a thumbs up. He then stopped and pointed at Toren. "And whoever wins gets to have the third-place trophy!"
"What?" Toren tilted his head in confusion.
"The two of you tied points, so you both got third place," Silver explained.
"And there's no ties in a true competition, only a winner and loser!" Logan stated.
"There he goes, making more rivals," Adam sighed.
"He's still learning," Melanie giggled.
Soon enough everyone was out on the dance floor, with Gabriel going up to the stage with Lop and taking a microphone. "Hey everyone, glad that you're all enjoying the night. I know that I was the one that got first place, but I don't care who won or lost, all that matters that we had fun racing!" The crowd cheered. "So then, Lop and I are going to perform a duet together!"
Gabriel handed a microphone over to Lop, the bunny girl giving a nod and smile before the music started. A slow, tropical beat played out, with the crowd dancing as the two singers began the song…

Team Gracious Bird are casually walking down a street together. Della and Scott are casually conversing with each other while Dastan and Logan compare their weapons. Logan thinks back to his friends and how they helped him out when he fell into darkness, smiling at the thought that they will always have his back.

Team Blue Royale are in a nearby shop, trying on various outfits. Silver comes out of a dressing room in an elegant getup, which the princesses all approve of. The boy smiles about having friends that are so accepting of him.
Unexpected, wall ride

All night, waiting for the morning daylight
Team Sweet Vision are all sitting underneath a tree in a park at night. Bruno tells a joke, but smiles nervously when the others don't laugh. Vanellope suddenly snorts, followed by Rachel and Poe joining in on the laughter. Rachel is finding it nice to be able to relax now and then when she's not training.

Team Heart of a Jaquin fly through the sky, with Agent P and King riding on the backs of Toren and Nico. The two Jaquins share a high-five, with Toren laughing as he shares a kindship with his teammates.

Team SEA Racer is in a scientific lab, doing studies on a new artifact that Adam found. A explosion causes soot to cover the cyborg's face, but Melanie is there to wipe it off for him. Adam smiles as he shares a moment with his wife.

Team Toon Buggy have stopped by an ice cream shop, with Bonkers trying to keep Stitch from doing anything mischievous and failing comically. Eda and Beth laugh at their antics, with Beth thinking about the future and all the new friends she's made over the course of the race.

Team Hex Rider sit in a bench, talking about the craziest things they've ever done. Aline says something that makes the others look at her in total shock, before she gives and wink and laughs. Aline thinks about how nice it is to be open with others for once.

Team Concerto Comet sit in a boat in Animal Kingdom watching a lantern show, with Gabriel and Jasiri touching foreheads as they let their own lantern float into the air. Gabriel will always be grateful for the connects he's made in the Magical World.

Over in the corner of the room, Herbert is being a grump as Klutzy happy snaps his claws to the beat. The polar bear suddenly starts tapping his foot, reluctantly admitting that he thinks the song his nice.

Beth pulls out a camera, snapping a photo of Team Concerto Comet. The picture then pulls out, revealing a wall of images of the other teams as well.

The raven bounces to the beat as the garage door closes, ending the song.
On the beach of Destiny Island, Toren, Beth, and Aline all stand next to a tree, looking out towards the ocean. "So, is there any reason that Gabriel asked us to meet him here for the training?" Beth asked.
"He said something about it being thematic or something," Aline answered.
"Ah, there you guys are!" came a chipper voice. The trio turned to see a crow with a golden beak and claws. "I just knew I'd find you here!"
"Double D?" Toren said. "We haven't seen you since, what, the Sorcerer's Arena?"
"He was at the big Hex battle too," Aline pointed out. "But that's besides the point. What are you doing here?"
"Well, Gabriel just happened to find me after the big party and asked if I wanted to train to become a Dream Keeper too, so here I am!" Double D said.
"The more the merrier, right?" Beth shrugged.
Double D laughed, taking his place next to the group. "So then, when does this training start?"
A portal suddenly appeared in front of the quartet, with Gabriel sticking his head out the other side. "Well, what you waiting for?" he asked. "Let's go!"
The four looked at each, shrugged, and hopped into the portal, excited about wherever they were heading to…
Author's Note
Yep, there's a cliffhanger for the next saga! The training that Rachel was talking about is the focus of the next story, and Gabriel will be taking in some of the younger team members to do the training. Toren, Aline, Beth, and Double D are all in for a wild ride as they learn about powers they didn't know they had, make new allies, travel across new lands, and face a terrifying trio of enemies in "Across the Mirrorverse!"
