Waking up before Shaun was a nice change the next morning. I turned over to see him still asleep and giggled to myself. His mouth was half open, his hair was a disheveled mess and his face was scrunched up just the tiniest bit. I could see it in his forehead. I also noted that every morning he fixed his hair before I woke up. With a happy sigh, I ran my hand through the mess on top of Shaun's head, waking him. I let my hand rest on his cheek and he nuzzled into it.
"Morning love," he drawled, his voice thick from sleeping.
"Morning Shaun," I smiled. "I didn't know you fixed your hair every morning."
"Well it doesn't get that way by itself," He smirked.
"God, you're worse than me," I giggled and kissed him. We laid in silence for a few minutes, Shaun just studying me.
"Nothing will ever compare to waking up next to you," He sighed. "No feeling in the entire world."
"I was just thinking that about you," I replied easily. "Except for maybe when you tell me you love me. That's the only thing that's better than this."
"Well I do love you," He smirked and pulled me closer. I snuggled into him and almost fell back asleep before I felt him reach to the table behind me for something. "What do you say to ordering some breakfast?"
"Yes please!" I yawned and looked over the room service menu he was holding.
A half hour later, Shaun and I were eating bits and pieces of all different foods from plates that were on the bed. I was feeling better finally and Shaun was making me laugh so hard I had to try not to snort food. We managed to actually eat most of the food until Desmond and Rebecca showed up. Desmond stayed back with Shaun while Rebecca and I went on a walk, much to a nervous Shaun's dismay.
"So what did you need?" I asked Rebecca.
"Nothing actually," She laughed. "Desmond wanted to talk to Shaun and I'm the only one who can pry you away from him."
"That's a very fitting description," I laughed as we strolled into the mall part of the cruise ship.
"Oh hey, William gave me some money for us if we want anything from here," Rebecca said.
"I am freezing at night!" I cried. "Let's see if we can't find like a warm quilt or something."
So Rebecca and I started prowling the shops. We found a thick quilt first, it was easy enough and William had given us way more than enough money. I wondered where he got it all. We didn't stop after the blanket though, oh no. Rebecca and I kept strolling around and buying little things for ourselves. We ended up with kind of a lot of bath stuff but oh well. Maybe Shaun would try and join me and that would be a sight to see. I found a bookstore and decided to see if they had anything decent. It was full of old books that the owner had gotten from used shops on the mainlands. I found a few and bought them while Rebecca was in the shop next door. It was one of the last ones anyways.
"Do you think we can go back yet?" I asked anxiously as we sat at a small table, drinking some smoothies.
"Sure, I don't see why not," Rebecca said as we got up. "Let's just hope they're both still alive."
"Oh Shaun's not really mean," I scoffed. "It's always Desmond who started it and I don't think he will anymore."
"Also very true," Rebecca laughed.
Sure enough, both of the boys were fine. No one had punched anyone, no more than insults had been flung at the other and they were actually getting along somewhat. I put my bags on the table beside the tv and leaned against the wall.
"Oh hey girls," Desmond said with a smile.
"Tess was going insane without Shaun so I figured I should return her before I was thrown overboard," Rebecca laughed. "Come on Des, I don't think you're going to want to see what happens next."
"For once, I'm just going to trust you," Desmond laughed too and got up to follow her out.
"Oh bloody hell, what did she mean?" Shaun asked with a sigh from where he sat cross legged on the bed.
"Nothing bad, I promise," I laughed and started rummaging through my bags.
"How much did you buy?!" He asked, overly surprised. I just continued laughing.
"I got a lot," I grinned. "A blanket because I get cold. Bath things to relax with. If you're lucky you might be able to join me. Ah, and these for you."
"You didn't have to buy me anything," Shaun insisted.
"I saw them and couldn't leave them," I said and handed him the two books I'd found.
"Love, these are amazing!" He was wide eyed and adorable as ever. "Seriously, thank you so much."
"No problem Shaun," I smiled and leaned forward to kiss him. He pulled away with a peculiar look on his face.
"Wait, were you serious about the bath?" He asked.
"If you're lucky," I shrugged. "And I'm not going to tell you how."
"I have some ideas," He winked and motioned for me to turn around so I did. I mean, I trusted him right? Before I knew it, his hands were giving me the most amazing neck and shoulder massage available on planet earth. I moaned and leaned back into him. "Am I lucky enough yet?"
"Oh god yes," I moaned and was laying against him by now. "I'll go run the water."
Fifteen minutes later, the tub was full of water and soap and salts and it smelled amazing. I called Shaun and we both stood in the bathroom awkwardly, thinking of how we were going to do this. We both settled on shameless yet awkward stripping to nothing before Shaun slipped into the tub and I followed soon after. His arms wound around my stomach and I relaxed in the warm water. It was still a little awkward with me sitting in between his legs but I didn't even care anymore.
"This is the best idea I've ever had," Shaun mumbled and kissed behind my ear.
"You?!" I laughed a little. "This was my idea!"
"Hey, If I hadn't rubbed your shoulders this never would've happened," He grinned.
"Yeah it would've," I told him. "I just wanted an excuse to get you naked."
"Sneaky," He laughed with me. "You could've done anything else you wanted to get me naked though."
"I know," I said. "I just really wanted to take a bath too. I got both of what I wanted."
"I knew there was some reason I loved you," He kissed me on the lips when I turned my head.
