Chapter 16 Revenge
Bobby pressed the button on his radio a few times and shouted Sam's name but all he got was a bunch of static. He quickly calculated where Sam would be by the point he had started from and where he was to meet him. Bobby drove his truck almost to the meeting point and walked back through the buildings. After half an hour of frantic searching, he found Dean's shirt tucked behind the water pipe. Bobby saw Sam's footprints and another set leading away. Sam's prints were clear like he was leaving them on purpose because he knew the kid could easily walk without leaving prints if he wanted to. He tried the radio again but got nothing.
Bobby followed the double set of prints until he came to a door where one set of prints ended. Sam's stopped then moved away from the door before getting lighter and ending in drag marks. Bobby swore as he swept the area looking for anything Sam may have left behind. It looked as though the area had been thoroughly swept and he was about to give up and check the building when his eye caught a tiny piece of plastic. Bobby recognized it as part of the radio Sam had.
Bobby tucked his radio away and checked the building. By the worn signs it was an old plastic factory shut about five years ago. Bobby picked the lock and went in quietly. The dust was inches thick and there was no sign of anyone anywhere. He searched the single story building from top to bottom carefully not wanting to be lured into a trap but came up empty.
Bobby backed out and decided his next move would be to go get John. He knew John would pitch a fit at Sam being taken as well and right under his nose but Bobby knew it was better to get them both involved in the search as he had a feeling Sam was close by. He ran back to the truck thanking his lucky stars he had insisted on knowing where John was searching every day.
Jeremy walked over to Dean slowly and leaned over him.
"Oh look at that, Dean can't hear you Sam." Jeremy kicked Dean in the shoulder making his head loll towards Sam. "Shall we ask him to join the party?"
Jeremy took a step into the dark past Dean and picked something up off the ground. Sam recognized at once as a cattle prod and followed the cables attached to it finding a black square shape in the dark behind Dean.
"Don't you touch him with that!" Sam shouted loudly, spit flying from his mouth as he leaned forward pulling against the chains now noticing there were clamps over his booted ankles.
"Don't worry Sam, Dean is very familiar with this particular device."
Jeremy touched the prod to Dean's bare left foot and his body arched off the ground with a loud groan. The cuffs holding him down were pulled taunt as Dean's body cramped hard. There were a few moments where all Sam could hear was Dean's harsh breathing as his body slowly loosened up. Sam's heart went out to his brother as a final tremor quaked through his body then settled.
"Hey there Dean. Good of you to wake up. Your little brother was beginning to think you were slacking off."
Dean's eyes flew open and he looked around in the darkness.
"Sammy?"
"Dean I'm over to your right. You okay man?"
"Sammy you okay?"
Dean pushed the pain of his numerous aches and pains away to peer into the darkness to find his brother. Jeremy took the moment of Dean's confusion to kneel down and inject Dean with a needle on the end of syringe he took out of his pocket.
"Dean! Leave him alone you asshole!"
"Relax Sam, it's just a muscle relaxer to make Dean feel at home. Let me assist with the family reunion." Jeremy reached up and flicked another switch this time illuminating the area where Sam was held to the concrete wall.
Dean's eyes went to the chains holding Sam to the wall.
"You let him go you piece of shit! You've got me just let Sam go!" Dean strained trying to get up despite the tight bonds holding him down.
"Now what would be the fun in that Dean? I need you both you see. It's time for me to have my revenge."
Dean held his neck off what smelled and felt like a hard rubber mat with what felt like the last of his strength but he wasn't showing that to this creep.
"What revenge? We don't know you." Dean ground out.
"Oh but I know you Dean and your brother and father."
"Just let Sam go and take whatever sick twisted thing you think you have to do on me. Leave Sam alone he has nothing to do with this." Dean's voice was a little slurred but he got it all out.
"Dean don't say that!" Sam cried out freaked by Dean's condition and the way he always put others first.
"It's my job Sammy. Gotta protect my little brother don't I?"
"What happened to looking after yourself big brother?" Sam's words came out in puffs as he still fought against his bonds.
"You come first Sammy."
Sam groaned. "Remember what I said Dean? You get caught up in this I would kick your ass."
"Yeah Sammy. I remember. I'm sorry buddy."
"Me too Dean."
"Stay strong Sammy. I'll get you out of this."
"You always do Dean. I trust you."
