Chapter 51

RAISE YOUR HORNS

"I cannot believe you just ordered a custom painted Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse," Zed chuckled as he whipped the Volvo out of the parking lot.

"It's not my fault they don't consider pink a 'stock' color," she said with a large smile as her fingers rested on his knee.

He glanced over towards her and smirked. "The custom paint job is the least surprising part of that entire experience, Gorgeous." He shook his head and stole a quick kiss as he merged into traffic. "Bucky is going to be sooooo pissed… But that car is totally you."

Her fingers inched up his thigh. "It is, isn't it." she smiled wide. "I don't care how pissed he gets. I spent so long trying to bury who I really am… it feels good to get back to myself."

"No other version of you I'd rather, Adds."

She let out a soft giggle before biting her lip and sighing. "As much as I despise this car, I am kind of going to miss it.." her fingers continued to move up his leg. "… especially the back seat." she brushed against his dick.

"Watch it, Baby," he warned, shooting her a wink. "I've been very patient, but if you keep going I'm pulling into the next hotel I see."

She crossed one leg over the other and turned on her hip. Her fingers brushing against him again. "Consider this payback for what your fingers were doing to me while I was driving to the dealership."

"I'm serious, Adds… I spent all morning with you naked and couldn't touch you…"

"There was definitely touching," she teased, squeezing his already hard cock through his jeans. "Are you forgetting about that make-out sesh up against the mausoleum?"

He let out a slow breath. "There's no way I could forget about that… or the fact that we were busted by the photographer." He shook his head and tried to focus on the road. "That was so fucking hot though… I hope he at least got some good pictures out of it."

Addison stretched up and nipped his ear. "What do you say we go back and finish what we started then," she whispered. "Only without the photographer, or the lighting people, or makeup crew, or the band, and especially without my brother…" her teeth grazed along his jaw. "Just you and me… and a few hundred dead people."

Zed bit back a moan. "Gods are you wild…"

"Is that a yes?" she smiled.

"That's a hell fucking yes… but we're waiting until dark. As much as I am all about exploring a possible new kink with you, I don't want to be busted in broad daylight." He glanced down to the clock on the dashboard and then over to her. "Hotel first, then gravesites later tonight."

"We're still at least twenty minutes away, and that's if we don't hit traffic," she whined. She unbuckled her seat belt and straddled his lap, hiking up her skirt. "I don't think I can wait that long to feel you inside of me."

Zed let out a curse as the car swerved. "Christ, Adds… are we doing this now?"

A wicked smile played on her lips "Wouldn't be the first time," she purred as she kissed him hard, careful not to block his view of the road. "Unless you'd rather play it safe..."

He moaned into her mouth as their kiss intensified. "I am so fucking in love with you," he whispered against her lips. "I need to feel you coming all over me right fucking now more than I need fucking oxygen to breathe."

Her hands ran down his chest and to the button of his jeans. "Eyes on the road… I'll take it from here my love." She quickly undid the button and lowered the zipper, silently thanking her lucky stars that Zed preferred to go commando. She pulled his hard cock out and with the same hand slid her panties to the side, rubbing him along her slick folds.

"You are fucking soaked, Baby," he moaned.

She nipped his lower lip. "Entirely your fault," she whispered as she lowered herself onto him fully in one quick move, making them both throw their heads back.

The car swerved again.

"Uh uh uh," she chastised. "Eyes open… focus." Her hands found purchase on his shoulders as she began to move up and down his length.

"Fuck, slow down… I'm already ready to blow."

"That's kind of the point."

He bit her neck. "Brat."

"You love it," she moaned.

"Fucking right I do…" He grabbed onto her hip with one hand, careful to make sure the other was locked tight on the steering wheel, and began to thrust up into her, matching her quick pace.

"Oh, fuck!" she screamed, throwing her head back again in abandon. She lowered a hand down to her clit and started to rub furiously. "Oh, fuck, oh, fuck…. Zed!" She dropped her head down to his shoulder and bit down as hard as she could as fireworks exploded behind her tightly shut eyes.

Zed slammed on the breaks, ignoring the blaring of horns coming from around them, and grabbed her ass with both hands as he came deep inside her. "Fuck, fuck, fuck…." he gasped.

Addison grabbed his face and crashed her lips to his. "Hotel. NOW."

ZzZzZzZzZzZ

"You booked us a room at Chateau Marmot?" Addison giggled as the car came to a screeching halt in the carriageway of the infamous hotel.

Zed flashed her a wide, bright smile. "I recently came into some money."

"It looks good on you," she giggled again, leaning over to kiss him.

He bit her lower lip. "Everything looks good on me."

"That's my line," she practically moaned as his hands found their way into her hair to pull her closer. Her own hands roamed up his chest, suddenly coming to an abrupt stop. "Um… you're soaked," she laughed, pulling away to take a look at the large wet spot on his tight black t-shirt.

"Entirely your fault," he said before smirking, "Although I may have had something to do with it," he finished, ignoring the knock on the window from the valet.

"You had a whole hell of a lot to do with it, Mister. Thank the gods you're not wearing white! You'd be damn near indecent."

"It's a shame I'm not… I'd totally rock it like a badge of honor."

She bit her lip and looked up at him through her lashes. "You are such a perv."

"You know you love it."

"You know I do."

He let out a shaky breath. "If you don't stop looking at me like that we're never going to get up to that room and the valet who keeps knocking on the window is going to get a hell of a show..."

She clamped her eyes shut tightly and smiled wide.

"Hmmm…" he whispered, leaning over to brush a soft kiss on each of her closed eyelids. "This could be fun…" He nipped her nose. "Keep those gorgeous eyes closed, I'll come around and get you."

Addison laughed, keeping her eyes closed. A few brief moments later her door opened and she felt Zed's arms wrap around her, lifting her out of the car. "Are you planning on carrying me the entire way?" she managed to get out through her giggles.

"Baby, I don't plan on setting you down anywhere except for the bed."

She stopped laughing and leaned further into him. "That sounds like a challenge…" she purred.

"Bring it on."

She nipped at his ear and started to whisper in extremely graphic detail exactly what she wanted him to do to her.

By the time Zed had finished checking them in, he was a wreck. "Baby… open your eyes," he rasped out as he turned them away from the front desk to walk towards the elevators.

She pulled back and blinked open her eyes, smiling at the crazed look in his.

"We're not making it to the bed," he practically growled in a low whisper.

Her fingernails scratched against the back of his neck, sending shivers of the best kind down his spine as her mouth found his in a desperate kiss as he hit the button for the elevator.

As soon as the elevator doors closed, Zed was on her. He set her down and grabbed her wrists, thrusting her arms above her head, his lips leaving a trail of rough kissed along her neck and cheek as he worked his way up to her ear. "Bonnie and Clyde ready to die,

Gravesites later tonight,

You told me to stop waiting

I can feel your back breaking,"

"Gods you are romantic," she giggled as he nipped her ear, quickly soothing the sting with his tongue before he started to sing again.

"Face down, lay pipe, ooh

Water works, swim your pool

Backstroke, we're both naked…" He let go of her hands and grabbed onto her ass, picking her up again and wrapping her legs around his waist.

"I can see that ass shaking…"

Addison threw her head back and laughed. "We are soooo going to be banned from this hotel after tonight."

"Only if we do it right," he said with a large smile as the bell dinged, announcing their arrival on the third floor. Zed quickly raced down the hall to their room. He stumbled with the key, nearly dropping it as he tried to get them in as quickly as possible. Finally inside, he kicked the door closed behind him, ignoring the grandeur of the room, and walked them straight to the bedroom.

He lowered her gently onto the bed, the urgency from the elevator now replaced by a slow burn as he met her lips with a fiery kiss.

Addison's fingers ran through his hair, loving the feel of his soft emerald locks as they twirled around each finger as she pulled him in closer.

His hands skimmed the top of her skirt, pausing as he looked into her eyes. "I will never be able to get enough of you."

"Right back at you, Handsome."

He unzipped the back of her skirt and pushed it down her hips until it was low enough for her to kick off. His hands trailed back up her body and ripped open the front of her blouse, sending buttons flying across the bed.

"Savage…" she purred as his teeth raked across her shoulder, catching the black lace strap of her bra and dragging it down her arm.

"You love it," he said as he ripped her bra. "And after watching you drop nearly three mils on a new car this afternoon, I don't feel bad about ruining your clothes in the least."

She giggled as he ripped her panties as well. "Like you wouldn't have ripped them off of me anyway."

He leaned down and captured her nipple piercing with his teeth, pulling just enough to draw a loud moan from her mouth. "I definitely would have."

"All is fair in love and war…" she warned, pushing him away.

He sat back on his knees and smirked. "If it's war, I'm going to win… I'm the one with military experience."

"That might be," she said as she got to her knees. "But I fight dirty."

"Bring it on, Baby."

A wicked twinkle sparked in her eyes. "Always." She grabbed the front of his still wet shirt and ripped as hard as she could, laughing at the shocked look on his face when the fabric tore.

"No lie… that was kind of hot."

"Kind of?" she asked with an arch of her brow, unbuttoning his pants and pushing them down his hips.

He pushed her back down onto the bed and pinned her down as he kicked his jeans away. "Way hot…" his hand traced a line between her cleavage, down her flat stomach, and through her slick folds. "Just like you…" he whispered into her ear as he pushed two fingers deep inside her. His thumb found her clit, making her back arch off the bed.

She lifted her hips, giving him easier access.

"And just so you know…" he said as slid two more fingers into her dripping wet pussy, "I plan on fighting dirty, too." Without warning, he plunged his cock into her ass.

Her sharp inhale charged into his ears and her body tensed around him. He was just about to ask if she was okay when a low moan eased past her lips and she relaxed into the bed.

"Fuck do you hurt in the best fucking way…"

He smiled and looked into her eyes. "My wild girl…" He dropped his forehead to hers and kissed her softly as he began to pump in and out of her with his hand and his dick in unison. "I fell in love with you at first sight," he sang against her lips. "I wish that I could frame the way you look at me with those eyes…"

"I love you," she whispered, as she knotted her fingers into his hair and deepened their kiss. She lifted her arms above her head and laid them on the bed, offering her tits to him.

"I love you, too. Forever."

"And after…"

He dove down, and latched onto her nipple, moaning at the feel of her legs tightening around him and guiding him in and out of her. She took over the tempo below and brought them to the perfect rhythm, composing their own familiar nocturne of whispered promises and moans as they drove each other to the edge.

Flashes of blinding light mixed with the chaos of screams and gunfire. Somewhere deep down he knew that he wasn't still in the desert surrounded by death. He knew that it was a dream. He knew he wouldn't have to repeat the goodbyes he whispered that day as he clutched her locket in his hand and prayed for just one more moment with her. He knew that if he could just reach out in his sleep and feel her next to him everything would quiet. The harder he fought to find her, the louder the screams became. He had to wake up. He didn't want to see what he knew was coming. He ducked behind the ruins of a still-smoldering building and dropped to his knees, closing his eyes as his hand grabbed for the locket hanging next to his dog tags.

Zed bolted upright. His ears were ringing and he was covered in sweat. His eyes frantically searched the room. "Baby?" His breaths were still coming out in heavy pants. The rational part of his brain knew she was safe, she had never been there in the first place, but the nightmares had slowly started to change when she came back into his life. Instead of grabbing the locket that hung around his neck and praying to every god he could for just one more chance to see her again before he died, like he had that day in the middle of battle, now when he looked down, she was dead in his arms. Her firey ice blue eyes empty. He shuddered and looked around. He knew the adrenaline coursing through his system wouldn't ebb until he felt her in his arms. He let out a slow breath, trying to calm his racing heart. "Adds?" he called out again. He pushed his sweaty hair out of his eyes and got out of the bed. "Addison?"

He walked into the dark bathroom and flipped on the light. A laugh fell from his lips. There, written in her bright red lipstick across the entire mirror were song lyrics. He quietly mouthed the words as he read along, a smile slowly spreading across his face. "Holy shit… This is it…" He walked back over to the bed and grabbed his phone. With one hand covering his junk, he snapped a picture of the mirror.

He shook his head and silently laughed as he reached out and softly touched the kiss she left on the mirror as he noticed a matching one on his cheek. He quickly grabbed his discarded jeans from the ground and pulled them on. His shirt was a lost cause and he didn't feel like dealing with the luggage that had been delivered to the room while they were sleeping. He shrugged his shoulders. Addison always preferred him without a shirt anyway. Without a second thought, he took off to find her.

He hadn't even taken a full step off the elevator when he heard her singing. As he walked across the lobby towards the lounge, he noticed the small audience she had attracted. He silently pushed his way through until he could see her. His breath caught. If he lived a hundred years he knew he would never tire of seeing her the way she was at that moment. With her eyes closed, completely lost in the music she effortlessly created, she seemed to transcend onto a different plane of existence. He knew this is what had been keeping her up every night. This was the song she had been chasing. It wasn't until he reached out and brushed her hair off of her shoulder that he even realized he had been moving towards her.

Her eyes fluttered open. "Hi…" she whispered softly.

"Hi…"

"I'm sorry I left. I just needed to…"

He smiled and leaned down to kiss her, cutting her off. "I know."

She rested her forehead against his. "Are you okay?"

He nodded. "We need to get you into the studio immediately."

"What?" she asked, pulling back in shock.

"That song… it needs to be on the album."

"But we go to press tomorrow…"

He smiled as he reached out and held her face between his hands. "Which is exactly why we need to do this now… I know you've been feeling like the album was missing something. I know the feeling of missing out on the perfect song has been eating at you. I know that's what's been keeping you up at night lately."

She let out a slow breath. "You're right… I don't know what changed, but something just clicked into place tonight, and this song..."

"Is perfect."

"Maybe not, but it's pretty damn close," she laughed softly.

He pulled her in for a gentle kiss. "Then let's make it happen."

"Mmmmm…" Tracey moaned as his lips wrapped around his fork. "This…" he shook his head and looked over the candles lighting the table at Mason. "Amazing doesn't even begin to describe this! Orgasmic, maybe."

Mason chuckled and took a sip of his wine. "I'm glad we finally managed to get a table. I can't think of a better way to celebrate wrapping your first album."

"I still can't believe we were on the radio!"

"Get used to it," Mason said with a large smile. "That album is going to take off. I feel it…" he trailed off looking down at his phone on the table that had just lit up.

"Everything okay?"

"Don't know yet…" he mumbled as he picked up his phone. "Something happened at the studio… the alarm was tripped."

"Someone broke into the studio?" Tracey gasped. "How? Is it okay?!"

"More specifically someone tripped the alarm in my office…" Mason said as he stood up and flagged down the waiter. "Babe, I'm sorry… I know we're supposed to be celebrating, but I have to check this out. Nothing was tripped at the main doors, which means whoever it is, has the Bamm! access codes. My office is reset every few months." He turned to the waiter and handed him a credit card, "Whatever he wants to order, just put it on this. I should be back soon… Hopefully."

"Um, I'm coming with!" Tracey exclaimed standing up. "Can I just get this to go?"

ZzZzZzZzZzZ

"Why aren't the police here?" Tracey asked as Mason pulled up outside of the downtown studio.

"Because I don't want police anywhere near my office…" he said as he threw the car in park and jumped out of the driver's seat. He was already opening Tracey's door before he had had a chance to undo his seatbelt.

"But why?" Tracey asked as Mason practically drug him to the front doors.

Mason stopped and turned to him. "Because I'm a producer who works with a lot of musicians who sometimes need pharmaceutical aid to help them finish a session," he whispered, hoping Tracey would understand what he was saying.

"Oh… things make a lot more sense now."

"Exactly," Mason said pulling him along.

When they walked through the main door, Mason stopped. "Who the hell is recording?!" He exclaimed, motioning towards the red light lit up at the top of the wall. "This shit is getting weirder and weirder…" he mumbled, changing direction towards the recording studio. He threw the door open. "What the…"

Zed looked over. "Oh, hey guys!" he said with a goofy wave.

"Hey, guys? Really?" Mason threw up his hands. "What the fuck are you doing here?"

"Um…" Zed pointed to Addison on the other side of the glass partition. "Recording?"

"No shit." Mason snapped. "Why here? You guys literally have a recording studio at home."

"We were at Chateau Marmont… yours was closer," he answered with a shrug.

Tracey pushed past Mason to get to Zed. "THE Chateau Marmont? I need details!"

"Are you wearing my shirt?" Mason asked, ignoring Tracey's comments.

Zed looked down. "Oh, yeah… I got cold so Adds grabbed it for me out of your office. Didn't think you would mind."

Mason let out a sigh of relief. "Do I want to know where your shirt is?"

"In tatters on the floor of the hotel room."

"Now you've GOT to tell me all the deets!" Tracey exclaimed.

Zed rolled his eyes and playfully pushed him away.

Mason sat down behind the deck. "So what was so urgent that you needed to break into my studio to record? I thought she was supposed to be on vocal rest?"

"There's no way I was keeping her from recording this as soon as possible. Take a listen for yourself…"

Mason hit the live feed button and leaned back in his chair.

Forgive every fear that convinced you to put out your light

Show every flaw, every scar that this world made you hide

From who you are

From who you are, are, are, are...

He sat up straight. "Holy shit."

"I know," Zed said with a smile as he watched Addison at the piano.

"We need to get the rest of the band down here NOW," Tracey whispered in awe, pulling out his phone.

ZzZzZzZzZzZ

Within thirty minutes everyone had piled into the studio.

"Shit…" Bucky said quietly as he sat down on the sofa, shaking his head. "This needs to be on the album." He looked around the room. "How quickly can you guys come up with the accompanying arrangements?"

Eliza shook her head and wiped a tear away from her eyes. "No."

"What do you mean, 'No?'"

"I'm not playing on it. It's perfect just like it is."

"I agree one hundred percent," Bonzo added. "I wouldn't change a thing."

"Me either," Tracey said as he hugged Mason. "It's the ultimate 'Flick Your Bic' song. Can't you just imagine it? Thousands of people lighting up the audience as they sing along..."

"What do you think Zed?" Bucky asked.

Zed was lost watching Addison.

"Zed…" Bucky repeated.

"Huh?" he finally responded, not taking his eyes off of her.

"Thoughts on leaving the song as it is right now?"

He smiled. "She's perfect."

Bucky pinched the bridge of his nose. "I'm glad you think so… but I'm talking about the song."

"That too."

"Well… I guess it's settled. Mase? How much work do you need to do to get this thing ready to send off by the morning?"

"None… I say keep it exactly as it is. It's stripped-down, raw, and emotional… A song like this doesn't come along often. This is a fucking anthem." He leaned over and hit the playback button.

Burn every fear, every doubt like a funeral fire

Scream every anthem and follow your reckless desires

Take back the crown that hangs at the gate

Ready your march, steady your aim

For the heart is a soldier that never loses its way

So raise your horns

Raise 'em high

Let 'em soar

Let 'em fly

Up through the heavens

Forevermore

Let 'em reign down

Raise your horns

Sing every verse, every sermon, for the dead and unheard

Shout from the rooftops while you still live every word

'Cause the pendulum swings for those who dare wait

Through flesh and through bone to where nothing escapes

So follow true north on the road that will lead you away

And raise your horns

Raise 'em high

Let 'em soar

Let 'em fly

Up through the heavens

Forevermore

Let 'em reign down

Raise your horns

Forgive every fear that convinced you to put out your light

Show every flaw, every scar that this world made you hide

From who you are

From who you are, are, are, are

Raise your horns

Raise 'em high

Let 'em soar

Let 'em fly

Up through the heavens

Forevermore

Let 'em reign down

Raise your horns
