Chapter 17:
10,010 Years Later
Meanwhile, Scrabbit was doing his usual business. But this time, this Rabbit, Squirrel, and Rat-Hybrid appears to be frozen in a block of ice along with his carrot…
10,010 Years Later
Now the block of ice holding them is floating in the sea and the current washes them to a nearby beach with a town close by. On the beach, three ponies were walking around enjoying the comfortable warmth of the sand underneath their hooves.
The first pony is an Alicorn with a tan coat of apricot, a magenta mane and tail with streaks of blue, yellow, and red, golden wings and horn, and her cutie mark is one large pink star with a blue trail and two smaller pinks stars, almost a bit like Twilight's Cutie Mark.
The second pony is a lilac Unicorn with navy blue hooves, a long and wavy cerulean blue mane and tail, which went from blue roots to violet tips. Her eyes were magenta and she has a long powder blue horn with white swirls. Her cutie mark was a purple heart with a blue button in the center and the anterior side of the heart features three sewing pins: one pink and one purple.
The third and final pony is a white Pegasus with silver hooves, her wings have light blue and lavender feathers and they are quite long. Her mane is a hot pink color with aqua and pink streaks, and it resembles a gelled hairstyle. Her tail is similarly colored and is of average length. She has turquoise blue eyes and pink eyebrows and her cutie mark is a pink-and-blue lightning bolt with a yellow crown on top.
These three new generation ponies were walking along the shore until they saw the block of ice holding Scrabbit and his carrot floating in the sea until they came to shore and settle down. When the Alicorn approaches the ice block and saw Scrabbit, she was surprised for she has never seen anything like it before.
"Hey, Sunny, is there something inside that ice cube?" the lilac Unicorn asked the alicorn, pointing to the frozen block.
Sunny looked closely at the ice block and gasped, "Um, you might wanna come and see this," Sunny said, motioning for her other friend to come to have a look inside the ice block.
Izzy, the lilac Unicorn, and Zipp, the white Pegasus, came over and saw it for themselves as Zipp had a weird look on her face, "What in Equestria is that thing? And why is it all frozen?" she asked.
"I'm not sure. Guess, we'll have to wait until all this ice melts around him," Sunny said, suggesting.
The 3 mares then sat down and waited while Scrabbit and his carrot just stood there frozen in time. But thanks to the heat of the sun, the ice was begins to melt around Scrabbit and his carrot, slowly. A few minutes later, Sunny, Izzy, and Zipp were laying on the sand on their bellies doing their own thing as they waited while Scrabbit's nose, hands, and carrot are unfrozen.
The carrot fell out and landed in the sand, catching the 3 friends' attention, as Scrabbit's fingers started moving and his nose started shaking. Scrabbit moved his eyes and grunted.
An hour later, Sunny, Izzy, and Zipp struggled to stay awake as they watched since half of Scrabbits' body is now unfrozen but the other half is still frozen. Scrabbit tried reaching out for his carrot but it was no use. His body was still frozen.
"Sorry buddy, but I think you just might need to wait just a little longer," Zipp comforted the prehistoric creature with a grin.
Scrabbit plops and grunts.
Another hour later, Scrabbit has been waiting patiently for his body to be unfrozen but Sunny, Izzy, and Zipp had fallen asleep. Scrabbit looked back and moved his hips, which means he was almost out. But then his mind went back to the carrot. Sunny and her friends woke up and took notice of Scrabbit gain of more movement, thinking they'd waited long enough.
"I think you should be able to get your carrot now," Sunny suggested as Zipp yawned and Izzy scratched herself.
Scrabbit reached for his carrot again and this time very desperately. But just when it was in his grasp, a strong wave came in and washes the carrot out to sea.
Sunny, Izzy, and Zipp couldn't believe what they had just seen happen and Scrabbit couldn't believe what happened in front of him either.
"Oopsie," Izzy said, getting a bad feeling about something about to happen.
Using all his strength, Scrabbit breaks out of the ice and screams as he ran to a rock wall and bumps his head on it. Sunny, Izzy, and Zipp followed and saw him banging on the rock wall. Thinking quickly, Sunny rushed over to the disgruntled rabbit and pulled him away from the rock, "Hey, buddy listen, we can get you another carrot," She tried to comfort him, but he just look down sadly.
"Yeah, Izzy don't you have one in your lunchbox or something?" Zipp asked Izzy.
"Sorry, girls. All I can find in here is Celery," Izzy said, looking in her lunchbox and pulling out a piece of celery.
When Scrabbit saw the stalk, he squeaked in excitement, which caught the three mares' attention. Seeing him eyeing the celery, Izzy smiled at him, "Oh, you like Celery too? You can have it if you want," she said as she lowers the celery down as Scrabbit embraces it and he hugs Izzy's leg with a smile on his face, giving her a thank you.
"Awwww, you're welcome little guy," Izzy said, hugging Scrabbit back before he pulled away and waved goodbye carrying his new prize away.
A few minutes later, Scrabbit was leaping around exploring his new world while trying to find a good spot to store his new celery. When he found a perfect spot, he squeaked, and just like he did 10,010 years ago, Scrabbit puts his celery into the ground and starts jumping on it.
And this time, there were no icebergs, giants herds, snowballs, or ice slides to stop him from burying his treasure.
But when the celery went deeper into the ground, another rumble was heard and another crack suddenly appears and started getting longer.
Scrabbit followed the crack and tried everything to keep it from growing longer. He patted his feet on the crack, he tried covering the crack, and he even tried pulling the land back together as if they might even break apart. But no matter what Scrabbit tries, the crack just keeps getting longer as Scrabbit watches with a gulp.
The crack continues getting longer as it goes across the forest and then climbs up a rocky surface. But the rocky surface reveals to belong to a mountain. The crack continues to reach the top of the mountain and causes a small piece to come loose and pop out.
After the piece popped out, the mountain came loose and falls to the ground with a loud Ka-Thump.
Sunny, Izzy, and Zipp were walking back to Maretime Bay until they heard the loud Ka-Thump and stopped.
"What was that?" Sunny asked as she looked around for where the sound was coming from.
Hearing the sound of the mountain moving, Scrabbit had a dumbfounded look as his right eye twitched and giggled embarrassedly.
Not again.
Author's Note:
Here's the 17th and final chapter of the story and this one takes place in the future.
It appears that Scrabbit has been frozen for 10,010 years, which means he survived while Twilight, Pinkie Pie, and Rainbow Dash have...Well...You all know what I mean.
But Scrabbit did however meet three new ponies who are similar to the Mane 3. However, while he was being unfrozen, his carrot was washed away from the incoming wave and soon he got out and screamed. Luckily for him, Izzy has found a stick of Celery in her lunchbox which is similar to his carrot.
After accepting his celery and thanking and hugging his new friends, Scrabbit decided to go find a spot to store this vegetable. But unfortunately, he did the same thing as he did 10,010 years ago, only except for a glacier, the crack went up to the top of a mountain and caused it to come loose.
Here we go again...
Note: Now you see 10,010 years later is just a guess since like all of you I don't know how much time has passed since Twilight and her friends have been around before Sunny and her friends were born. So this is just a guess of mine.
Now that you all know the story, I'll make sure to get started on the end story credits, where you folks can tell who voiced who and who created this story.
