A/N: So I screwed up on my Simon story because I lost a whole chapter that I don't even remember. So, I'm starting over. Third time's the charm, right?

Chapter 1: The New World

'Callum sat on the steps of his back porch, looking up at the bright full moon that shined brightly in the sky. Callum was an eleven year old boy with curly black hair and brown eyes. He was outside because he was mad at his father for making him move all the way to some place in England. Some strange village called Godric's Hollow. He was angry and sad that he had to leave all his friends back in America. He missed them so much and didn't know if he even wanted to make friends at the school he would be heading to in another month or so.

He looked around his back yard which was open ended, leading into a forest of trees and nothingness. A shadow passed over the moonlight. Callum looked up see a bird fly by or it could have been an owl. He didn't know nor did he care. Callum sighed in annoyance wishing he had money or something that he could use to take him back home to the United States. Callum stretched and stood up when he heard bushes at the end of his yard rustle. Clouds floated into the moonlight creating more darkness. Callum swallowed and curiously walked over as the rustling continued. As he got closer, he heard growling that sounded like a human trying to imitate a dog.

"Hello?" Callum called out, but there was no answer. "Are you okay?" He moved closer when suddenly, a dark large shadow leapt out of the bushes and over Callum, causing him to fall to the ground. Callum quickly looked behind him to see a big figure, but he couldn't make out who or what it was. He quickly stood to his feet when suddenly two yellow glowing dots appeared in the dark shadow that looked like eyes. Callum's heart began to beat quicker as fear filled his entire body. The thing growled again, but this time, it was more beastly. The clouds floated away from the moonlight, shining around the area. Callum's eyes widened in horror as he got a clear look at the figure. It was large and wolf-like, standing on its hind legs, and barring its fangs towards Callum.

Callum did the only thing he could think of. He turned around and ran straight into the forest. He heard a growling bark along with thundering steps behind him. Callum dared himself not to turn around and look at the thing that was chasing him. He continued to run faster and faster, but the monster was on his heels. Callum quickly peaked behind him, which was a mistake as the next step he took, wasn't there. The eleven year old yelped as he tumbled down a hill, falling through leaves and twigs. It was a few seconds later that Callum came to a stop. He groaned as he sat up and glancing around. He was now deep with the forest behind his home. As for the monster, there seemed to be no sign of it.

Callum stood to his feet and began to slowly walk away from where he saw the beast last. He jumped when thunder bellowed in the sky. He continued through the forest as the thunder continued to bellow. Suddenly, without warning, there was a clap of thunder. A lightning bolt soared down and struck the ground a mere ten feet away from Callum, causing a tree and the grass around it to catch fire. That's when Callum saw it. The light of the fire lit up the area around it, but not just that. It also lit up the beast that was chasing him from earlier. Callum stood frozen as the best bared its teeth towards him. It roared and began running towards Callum as he could only do one thing, scream. The beast roared as it leapt onto Callum - '

"No!" Callum gasped as he sat up from his bed. The sound of a cracking sound was heard but ignored. He was sweating profusely and breathing heavily. He looked around, relieved to see that he was still in his bedroom and that he was only having a nightmare. He could hear light pitter patter on the window. Callum glanced over to see that it was raining. He huffed as he laid back down onto his bed. Half of his dream was true. The part about his family moving to some village he's never heard of in Britain. "Godric's Hollow," Callum muttered. "What kind of name is that," he scoffed, turning on his side. He closed his eyes once more and let sleep succumb him.

The next morning, a short, small dark haired girl opened her brother's room where her brother was still asleep. She looked around the room which was still filled with unpacked boxes. The young eleven year old snuck into the room and tip toed over to a random box. She, as silently as she could, opened the box which was filled with trinkets, trophies, and action figures. The young girl dug into the box looking for something specific. The young girl smiled as she saw what she was looking for. She reached into the box when suddenly a pillow hit her in the head.

"What are you doing in my room, Cat?"

Cat looked over to her brother while rubbing the back of her head. She glared towards Callum who was sitting up in his bed, staring back at his sister with tired eyes. "I was looking for my unicorn," Cat replied, pulling out a white stuffed unicorn from Callum's box of stuff.

"Great, you found it," Her brother said dryly. "Now, get out of my room." Cat rolled her eyes, clutched her unicorn and exited her brother's room. Callum sighed and put his face in his hands.

"Whoa," he heard a voice say. "Callum, do you plan on unpacking any time soon?" Callum removed his hands from his face and looked towards his father who was standing in the doorway. Callum's father, Rowan, was a tall sandy blond haired man with a sandy blond beard and hazel eyes. He was a fit middle aged man with a squared jaw, still looking young for his age. Callum answered his father with a blank stare. "Look, son, I know you're not happy about this move, but consider it as a golden opportunity. A new start in a new world."

"A new start?" Callum skeptically repeated. "All my friends are back home. Our family... Mom."

Rowan sighed through his nose. "You'll make new friends, Cal," he replied. "And we'll visit family for the holidays."

Callum hopped out of bed. "Yeah, whatever," he mumbled, crossing his room and passing his dad.

Rowan watched his son walked away and shut himself in the bathroom. He walked over to the bathroom door. "I know you're not happy about this, but this is our life now. This is our home. We're going to be here for the rest of our lives," Callum's father spoke.

Callum opened the door to look up at his father. "Why?" he asked, feeling the usual anger building inside him. "Why did we have to move?!"

"Because I was given the opportunity to work here," Rowan answered. "With more pay that'll help us live a nice life. A great life."

"I had a great life back in Boston," Callum argued, "I had the best of friends and I could have visited Mom any time I wanted. I knew where she was."

"Callum, I know you miss your mom," Rowan said, "I miss her too - "

"Oh, you do!" Callum scoffed, "Then why did we leave? Why couldn't I just stay?! I hate that we left. I hate that I had to leave my friends. I hate that we abandoned mom! And I hate you!" Callum shouted and then slammed the door shut. Rowan stood at the bathroom door, hearing the shower turn on and decided to walk away. His knew his son would get over it and come to love this place in time.

Just as the door had shut, the shower and sink instantly turned on, and the toilet flushed. Callum jumped when everything had turned on. He shook his head in confusion, thinking he had forgotten that he had just turned everything sometime after he entered. After getting dressed for the day, Callum made it to the sitting room after grabbing a bowl of cereal and decided to spend the rest of the day watching TV. Callum was lightly smiling at the TV when his father walked in while tying his tie.

"Oh, no," Rowan spoke, finishing with his tie. "You are not watching TV all day long."

Callum sighed, glancing over to his father. "What am I supposed to do then?" he drawled out.

"Gee, I don't know. Maybe you could unpack all your stuff. Or better yet, go outside and play, make some friends," Rowan suggested. Callum rolled his eyes. "There's a small park down the street. Take your sister."

"But - "

"No buts," Rowan replied, grabbing his jacket and throwing it on. "That's what you're going to do today. You will take your sister to the park. And when I come home and find out that you didn't, there will be consequences. I mean it." Rowan grabbed his keys, eyeing his son, and then left for work. Callum sighed and leaned his head back. He didn't want to go outside at all. He just wanted to stay home and seclude himself. Rot in his room until he was dead.

Callum heard light footsteps. He glanced over to see his sister enter and stare at him. "What?" he said.

"You heard dad," She said, swaying back and forth. "Take me to the park."

"You're older than me, take yourself," Callum replied, crossing his arms.

"Oh come on, Cal," Cat said, stepping towards her brother. "I don't want to go by myself. What if there are bullies?"

Callum sighed in annoyance and rolled his eyes. "Fine. Let me get my shoes," he said, standing up and leaving the room.

Minutes later, Callum and Cat had entered the park which was filled with many children playing around the play ground or play soccer in the fields. Cat ran over to the swings while Callum decided to sit on a bench with a book in his hand. He didn't feel like playing around and decided to read while he would keep an eye on his sister. Callum read his book, hearing the screams and shouts of the playing children, having no interest of what was going on. He glanced up and saw his sister on the swings already talking to small auburn-haired boy and laughing with her. He rolled his eyes. It didn't matter where they were, Cat would always be able to find someone to make friends with. She was always like that.

"That's a good one." Callum numbly heard as his eyes were on the book. "I've read it when I was five."

Callum rolled his eyes, and then looked up. "Well, good for - " he paused when he looked up at the person who was talking to him. It was a girl with red hair and blue eyes. She had light peach skin and pink rosy cheeks. " - you," He finished slowly with wide eyes. "Hi," he greeted.

The girl smiled politely. "Hi," she greeted back. "I'm Lily."

"C-Callum," Callum said but then cleared his throat. "I'm Callum."

"Well, hello there Callum," Lily said, "American?" Callum nodded. "Cool." Lily sat down next to Callum. "So, how are you liking the book? I though it was fascinating." Callum nodded. "It's a great story."

"Yeah," Callum agreed. "I think so."

"Lily!" Lily and Callum looked over to see a few other kids who were grouped together near a jungle gym waving Lily over. Callum raised a curious brow as most of them had red hair and ranged from different ages.

"Are they your siblings?" Callum asked.

Lily shook her head. "No," she answered. "But they are my family. Cousins to be exact. I do have two older brothers, but they have black hair."

"I have a twin sister," Callum replied, and then pointed towards his sister who was on the swings. Though it was at that moment that Callum watched his sister be pushed off the swings by an bigger boy. "Hey!" Callum shouted, jumping to his feet. Lily watched as Callum walked past her and then followed after him. Anger burned through him as he ran over to his sister who was on the ground, her eyes brimming with tears. He quickly walked up to the boy who had pushed his sister and violently pushed the boy from the back, throwing him to the ground. The kids around them gasped as Callum stepped over to his sister. "Come on, Cat," he said, holding out his hand. Cat grabbed her brother's hand and stood up, wiping her eyes.

"Who the bloody hell?" the boy that was pushed spat up, spitting up dirt. He pushed himself off the ground and stood up to his feet, turning towards Callum and Cat. He was taller than Callum with brown hair and grey eyes. He turned turned his dark eyes onto Callum, glaring down at the shorter eleven year old. "Who the bloody hell do you think you are?" Callum didn't answer, instead opting to help wipe the dirt off his sister's dress. "I asked you a question you stupid muggle," the bully hissed. Half of the children audibly gasped.

"Oakley," someone gasped, but the bully named Oakley ignored his name being called. Callum, however, seemed unfazed, though was confused at the word 'muggle'. Cat hid behind her brother, sniffling. Lily was standing next to them, looking worried as another boy was next to her and whispered into her ear. She nodded and the sandy brown haired boy quickly took off running.

"Oi!" Oakley hissed, grabbing Callum by the shirt.

"Hey!" Callum snapped back, slapping Oakley's hand away. "What's your problem?"

"You're my problem!" Oakley growled, "When I ask you a question, I want an answer."

"I don't have to answer to you," Callum replied, "You're not in charge of me - "

"I am your better!" Oakley growled out.

"I don't care who you are!" Callum retorted, "But you owe my sister an apology."

"Excuse me!?" Oakley snarled, poking Callum in the chest. "I don't owe anyone anything. You must not know who're your dealing with."

"I don't care who you are," Callum snapped back while slapping away Oakley's finger. "Nobody, and I mean nobody, messes with my sister."

Oakley laughed, slightly turning away from Callum. The bully quickly turned back, clenching his fists and tensing in anger. The children around gasped as Callum was suddenly pushed into the ground by an unknown force, hitting the ground. Callum growled, not knowing how he was suddenly pushed to the ground. He didn't care as his chest was filled with anger, turning to glare towards Oakley. In surprise to everyone around Callum, Oakley was suddenly pushed back by an unknown force, shocking the kids even more. Oakley and Callum glared at one another as they stood up, their fists clenched, waiting for one or the other to make a move. The children around whispered among themselves.

"Alright, what's going on here!?" Spoke a low booming voice. At once, most of the children dispersed except for Oakley and his friends, Callum and Cat, Lily, and a couple of redheads. A tall man wearing a guard like uniform walked up to the children who stood still. The man looked in between the two boys who were glaring at each other. "What's going on here, Oakley?" The man said. Callum looked over to the man and noticed a the patch on is arm, which was the shape of a shield with a large golden M inside it.

"This kid here was trying to fight me!" Oakley informed the man who turned to look at Callum.

"You pushed my sister down!" Callum growled in anger. "She wasn't bothering anybody at all and you had to come and ruin her fun!" The man turned his eyes back onto Oakley.

"He used magic against me, Father!" Oakley burst out causing some of the children to gasp. Callum and Cat shared a confused look.

"Oakley!" the man said through his teeth, looking down at his son with warning eyes. Oakley looked down in anger. The man sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. "Oakley, I want you to go home, right now," he said sternly.

"B-but dad - "

"Go on! Now!" The man continued. Oakley huffed in annoyance and walked away but not before giving Callum one last angry look. The man look at the other children. "The rest of you go on." The other children began to walk away except for Lily, Callum, and Cat.

Callum turned to his sister and began to brush off any dirt she still had on her clothes. "Are you okay?" He asked. Cat sniffed and nodded.

"I apologize about my son," Oakley's father spoke up. "He's been...different since his mom passed."

Callum glanced at the man but shrugged. "Don't worry about it," he replied.

"Our mom passed too," Cat sniffed.

"Shush Cat," Callum shushed.

"So you understand," Oakley's father said. Callum didn't answer, though Cat nodded. "Once again, I'm sorry. Enjoy your day." And with that, the man left the children alone.

"Are you okay?" Lily turned and asked Cat.

Cat nodded. "I'm okay," she answered wiping her face. "Who are you?"

"I'm Lily," Lily introduced, holding out her hand. "Lily Potter." Cat smiled and shook Lily's hand. "You must be Callum's twin sister."

Cat nodded and place an arm around her brother's shoulder and smiled. "That's me," she said. "Though people have been known to say that I am the cuter one."

Callum rolled his eyes and shrugged off his sister's arm. "Glad to see you're back to normal," he commented.

The boy from earlier that Lily has whispered too, quickly ran up to them, huffing and puffing. "I saw Oakley on his way back home and thought we didn't need my dad," he huffed out. "What did I miss?"

Lily and Cat looked bemused while Callum was blank. "Hugo, meet my new friends - "

"Caterina," Cat introduced, waving at Hugo who waved back. "But you can call me Cat! And that's my twin brother, Callum." She continued, pointing her thumb towards her brother who nodded towards Hugo.

"Hugo Weasley!" Hugo introduced holding out his hand to Callum. "Pleasure!" Callum stared at it for a second before shaking it. "So, you must be new around here." He commented.

"Yeah, we just moved here," Cat said, "From America."

"America. Cool," Hugo said in awe. "I've never met any Americans before. You two should come over to our family picnic tomorrow!"

"Hugo!" Lily gasped, slightly shaking her head over to Hugo who was wide eyed.

"I mean - "

"We'd love to come!" Caterina quickly accepted with a big smile.

"Oh, I don't know," Callum said with a shake of his head. "I do have a lot of unpacking to do."

"Oh Cal, you can put it off till tomorrow," Cat replied. "They invited us to a picnic. Let's not be rude." That was the last thing Callum wanted to do, to go to a picnic with a bunch of people. He rather stay home and watch TV or read a book.

He sighed through his nose. "Alright, sure," Callum agreed. Caterina and Lily then exchanged addresses and Lily told them that she and her dad would stop by to pick them up. The four new friends decided to hang around a bit longer. Hugo and Lily continued to swing on the swings while Lily spoke to Callum about a book he thing he'd like. Callum did indeed seem interested in this book about a castle filled with rich history. Soon it was time to go home. Callum didn't want to admit it, but he did have an okay time.

"What were you and Lily talking about?" Cat asked as she and Callum walked home.

"About a book about this castle in Scotland," Cal simply answered. "Seems pretty interesting."

"Looks like she found your sweet spot," Cat replied with a tiny smirk. Callum rolled his eyes but smiled nonetheless.

The next morning, Callum, still in his pajamas, walked downstairs and entered the kitchen. He scratched his unkempt hair and noticed that Caterina was already inside wearing a cute white sundress, baking something. "You're up early," Callum said, walking over to the fridge.

"Yeah, I thought I'd bake some cupcakes for the Potters," Cat replied, staring at the oven. "Didn't want to show up empty handed." She then looked over to Cal who had pulled out a carton of orange juice, drinking out of it. "You should go take a shower and dress nicely when your done. And use a glass."

Callum burped loudly. "You're not my mother," he muttered, placing the carton back into the fridge and leaving back upstairs to take a shower.

An hour later, Callum was staring in the mirror combing his hair when there was a knock on the door. "I'm coming!" Callum heard from his sister. "Oh! Hello! You must be Mr. Potter!" Callum sighed and exited the bathroom and made his way downstairs. He noticed Lily in a flowery dress and next to her was a tall raven haired man in round rimmed glasses, wearing a blue shirt with his sleeves rolled up halfway and blue jeans. "This is my brother, Callum," Cat introduced.

"Hello, Callum," Mr. Potter greeted holding out his hand. Callum politely smiled and shook the man's hand. His eyes flashing up to the older man's forehead where a lightning bolt shaped scar sat. Mr. Potter seemed to notice this and when he let go of Callum's hand, instinctively scratched his forehead. "Is your father home?"

"Unfortunately, he is at work," Cat answered, "He's an airplane mechanic."

"An engineer," Callum corrected.

"Same thing," Cat replied, smiling up at Mr. Potter. "Don't worry, Mr. Potter. He knows that we're going to your family picnic. He was happy Cal and I made some friends in the neighborhood. Said he didn't mind us going over to your place for the day."

"Of course," Mr. Potter said, smiling. "Well shall we get going?"

"Yes! But wait!" Cat said excitedly, turning and running into the kitchen. She appeared seconds later with a sealed Tupperware full of cupcakes. "I made cupcakes!"

"Oh you didn't have to," Lily said.

"It's okay, I wanted to!" Cat said, smiling as she and Lily walked out the door, chatting animatedly. Callum sighed heavily.

"Alright there, Callum?" Mr. Potter asked. Callum looked up into the older man's green eyes. Callum suddenly felt a weird sensation when Mr. Potter bore into his eyes. It was a small pressure of something pressing into his mind, but as quick as Callum felt it, it was gone a second later.

Callum blinked, "Yeah," he said slowly. "I'm fine." Mr. Potter nodded and the two followed after the two girls with the front door shutting behind them.

As it turns out, the Potters only lived a couple of blocks away. It really wasn't that far as Cal and Cat were brought towards a white two story house with green shudders and a green front door. The front yard had a good size tree that looked like it was easy to climb. A cool breeze began to blow through the tree, shaking the leaves and branches of the tree as Potter led the three children up and into the house.

Callum entered the house last with Mr. Potter closing the door behind him. Callum curiously looked around. He was in a small foyer area with a hallway straight ahead, ending with stairs that went up. A large empty two doorway was right to his left, and a two doors, closed off, to his right; and there a few doors lining down on the hallway.

Suddenly, a tall boy with messy raven-colored hair and brown eyes jumped out in front of the group. "Hello!" he greeted with a grin with his arms open wide. "Welcome to the Most Notable and Honorable House of Potter! Where lies the famous man who has defeated death thrice! Defeater of the Dark Lord and the last wielder of the ever legendary, Elder Wand!"

"James!" Mr. Potter hissed through his teeth. James mischievously smiled before turning and running away. Callum looked confused but curious about James's words while Lily and Caterina looked amused. Callum glanced up at Potter who looked worrisome. The older man noticed Cal's look and gave the boy a reassuring smile. "Lunch is almost ready," Mr. Potter informed, "Please, make yourselves at home." And with that, Mr. Potter took his leave.

Lily led Cat and Cal into a open doorway and entered what looking to be the sitting room, filled with many plump chairs and a couch, a fireplace, shelves filled with pictures of the family, but there was no television set. Callum noticed this. The room would have been empty if it hadn't been for a red haired girl who was sitting in one of the chairs, wearing blue jeans, blue shirt, barefoot; and reading a thick book.

"Oh, hello!" Cat greeted with a smile and a wave. The girl looked up from her book, towards Cat. "I'm Caterina, and that's my brother Callum." The girls brown eyes shifted over to a blank staring Callum who's eyes focused on the book which was entitled Dark Creatures of The Unknown. One the front cover was that of a Skeletal Horse with wings, but what was surprising, was that the skeletal horse's wings flapped in slow motion. Callum continued to stare at the book when his sister tugged on his arm. Callum broke from his trance, turning to his sister.

"What?" he asked.

"Callum, this is Rose," Cat said, waving over to the girl on the chair. Callum turned to the girl who was now eyeing him curiously.

"Hi," Callum greeted.

"Hello," Rose greeted back, sitting up. "Do you like my book?" Callum glanced back at the cover of the book, surprised to see that the winged skeletal horse had been replaced with a regular unmoving, galloping horse.

"I...uh," Callum gawped and then shook his head. "Sorry, no, I don't much like horses." Rose glanced at Cal with a raised eyebrow and nodded.

"Cal, Cat!" The twins turned to see Hugo Weasley entered the room. 'You made it! Come to the backyard and meet everyone!" He said excitedly.

Hugo and Lily then led the twins through the house and out into their spacious backyard where there was a pretty long picnic table, with more than a few people sitting at tables full of all kinds of food. Cal was surprised that most of them had red hair, and there in the middle was the biggest man he had ever seen in his life.

"Cal, Cat," Hugo said, holding at an arm when they reached the end of the table. "Meet my family, consisting of Weasleys, Potters, and Hagrid." Many heads turned to the twins. There were many adults, but just as many kids or more. This was the biggest family the twins had ever seen in their whole existence.

"Hi," Cat said, waving and smiling widely. "I brought cupcakes!" Cal only smiled and waved.

There were many Hi's and hello's, and shared names. Hugo led Cal over to a seat while Lily led Cat on the other side of the table across from the two boys. Cal looked up the table as the family members talked animatedly amongst one another. Cal did feel a little uncomfortable being at a table with this many strangers, though his sister on the other hand felt very comfortable.

There was a clinking of a glass. Everyone's heads turned towards the head of the table. "Welcome to our monthly picnic!" Mr. Potter spoke loudly. "I know we do this very often, but today is a special day as we have two children here starting a new school in September." Cal looked around curiously wondering who was starting a new school. "Lily, Hugo. We are all proud of you two and are excited to hear what becomes of your first year at Hog- your new school!" Cat and Cal shared a glance, noticing Mr. Potter's stutter. Mr. Potter continued with his speech but Cal droned him out. He was feeling a little bored when he looked up in the sky as something caught his eye.

Two birds seemed to be flying their way. As the birds got closer, Cal noticed that they were owls and swooping down towards the table. He also noticed something attached to the owls.

"Dad!" James exclaimed pointing up into the sky as he noticed the owls as well. Everyone looked up to see the owls. Everyone watched in surprise as the two owls swooped down in front of their quests, dropping something on their plates. Cat and Cal stared down at the letters that had just dropped in front of them. Everyone curiously leaned towards the twins who looked down at the envelopes that were addressed to them.

"Go on," Hugo urged excitedly to Cal. "Open it!" Lily nodded towards Cat to open her letter as well.

The twins shared a glance before tearing open their letters to read:

Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry

Headmaster: Filius Flitwick

Dear Mr. Ares,

We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find an enclosed list of all of your equipment. Term begins on September 1. We await your owl by no later than July 31.

Neville Longbottom

Deputy Headmaster

Callum looked up from the letter to many of the faces that were staring at him and his confused sister. "This is a joke, right? I mean there's no such thing as magic," he said.

Cat too looked skeptical as well. "What is this?" she asked.

"It is no joke," Mr. Potter revealed. "I assure both of you that it is very real. What you have in front of you two is an invitation to one of the most popular schools in the country."

"I still don't understand," Cat replied. "We're magic?"

Cal shook his head, standing out of his seat. "No, there's no such thing," he repeated. "There's no way."

"Oh yeah!" James said, hopping out of his seat. He pulled out a wand and jabbed it forward. "Accio cupcakes!" Cat and Cal watched in shock as the Tupperware full of Cat's cupcakes zoomed from where they sat into James's open arms.

"James!" Mrs. Potter exclaimed, "How many times do we have to tell you not to use magic outside of school."

"He wasn't believing in magic, so I had to step up and show him that magic is indeed real," James told his mother. He turned to Cal. "Magic is real. Those letters don't go to anyone!"

"He's right," Mr. Potter agreed with a nod. "You two have magic inside of you and are most likely muggle-borns."

"What is that?" Cat curiously asked.

"A muggle born is a witch or wizard who is born with non magical parents," Lily answered.

"This is a little bit much," Cal said with a shake of his head. "I'm just an ordinary boy. Cat is just a girl. How can we be magic? We just moved here from a different country and what about our dad? How do we tell him?"

"A representative of the Ministry will come and explain everything to you as soon as tomorrow morning," Mrs. Granger said. "They will assist you in whatever way they can. You can trust me on that."

"Why?" Cal asked.

"Because she's like you," Hugo answered. "Our mother is a muggle born too and she's been through this." Mrs. Granger nodded.

"Okay," Cat said, glancing over at her brother and gave a tiny nod. Cal nodded back and sat back down.

"Well, I guess we can celebrate two more children who will be attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry," Mr. Potter continued as did the picnic. The twins smiled as they were given food, both unsure and skeptical of what was happening.

The next morning, Cat and Cal were up before there father as they couldn't really sleep last night. They were still confused about the letters and the news that magic was real. They both quietly sat in the living room, each nursing a hot cocoa with the television on though neither were watching it.

Half an hour later, Rowan appeared, walking down the stairs, tying his tie. He stopped when he reached the living room, noticing his children were already awake. "You two are up early," he commented, entering the room. "What's the occasion?" Cat and Cal shared a glance, both expecting the other to reveal the news. Luckily, neither of them had to as someone knocked on the front door. "Wonder who that is," Rowan wondered, walking over to the front door. Cat and Cal shared another look and then followed after their father. Rowan opened the door, curiously looking out towards the person who was there. "Yes?"

Cat and Cal moved over to where they could see. Standing at the front door was a woman; average height, heart shaped face, blue eyes, and dirty blond hair. "Good morning, Mister Ares," she greeted with a warm smile. "My name is Ruby Vale. I work for the Ministry of Magic - "

"I'm sorry," Rowan interrupted. "Ministry of Magic?

Ruby nodded, "Yes, I am a representative to help you and your children understand certain aspects of our world that can be a little confusing and overwhelming." Rowan stared at this woman in confusion. "Your children have received their letters, have they not?" she asked. Rowan turned to looked at his children questioningly.

Cat stepped forward. "Yes, we have," she answered.

"What letters?" Rowan asked, looking between his children and Ruby. At the same time, Cat and Cal pulled out their letters and held them out. Rowan took Cat's letter and read it. He then looked over to Ruby. "What is this?" he asked. "What does this mean?"

Ruby stepped into the house. "It means that your son and daughter are a witch and a wizard," she said with a small smile towards the twins.

A lone man sat in the middle of a dark circular room. There were many pillars surrounding him and there was a sky light that revealed a full moon. His legs were crossed as he rested his hands on his knees with his eyes closed. He was meditating. This man had dark colored, long hair and a beard, shirtless, and wearing black pants that were torn around the ankle. Scars covered the man's body, front and back. Chains were wrapped around his ankles and wrists, bolted into a wall. The moonlight bathed the meditating man. His breathing was steady as was his heartbeat. Without a warning, his eyes opened to reveal green glowing eyes, only for them to transform into glowing yellow eyes. The man then grinned, revealing his sharp fangs.
